The one fell and the other will rise

WIthout missing a beat she'd nod to her clansman, continuing what she was saying as if she'd simply been cut off. " Well, You took off before I was able to finish unfortunately, though I do appreciate your dedication to training. I can assure you the training circle i've made for us in the borders will still be there in a few moments. " It wasn't a terribly strong lie, but something about the ease at which it slid from her lips almost.... made it feel true. She'd hoped to encourage a simple turning of the other cheek from the anbu as she did that which was neccessity to ease tension between her clan and the vilage she protects.

"If you get into trouble, Place two fingers over the seal and it will inform all with the seal that there is a problem by shifting the center of the symbol to create a kanji of your name. I do believe however that was in fact all. Let Kiru know I will return to our meeting spot before nightfall. You have very important things to tend to before your departure, I'd expect two days taking care of the affairs of the clan, for which I am always thankful. I'll speak to the hokage in your stead if you'll take care of the affairs I'd asked previous, I'll send for you if needed." With her words finished she would release him from the shadow imitation, turning to give the anbu girl a look that said volumes.

"The young. What can you do yanno? I will personally ensure both his safety and that the lord hokage sama is aware of his travel. I'm afraid I've been a bit deceptive of course. " She would ensure he was gone by this point.... Which I can only assume he would be considering the situation. "There are a few very important Nara clan matters that require our attention. Unfortunately I'm tied here dealing with paperwork and aftermath of the death of the late clan head. " Would it work? she thought to herself. All it would take is for the girl to put the boys responsibilty on her for the last of the tension to be eased.... at least up to the point when she had her nice little talk with the hokage.

Tatsuya nods in agreeance with Kira which of course was possibly a lie but nonetheless Tatsuya is submissive. 

“What ever you wish oh grateful one”   He says sarcastically. 


Having agreed with Kira’s orders Tatsuya leaves.

Ungrateful wretch

Watching as the Nara slipped into the forest, Wolf made no moves to stop him. The matter was settled, on Kira's head be it. Chai, on the other hand, sauntered off into the woods at a brisk pace. The old mutt was probably making a beeline for the barracks. The poor guy had spent much of the day running around and stalking the woods. Such work would make anyone tired as Wolf was finding out. A warm wave of fatigue washed over her as she turned her attention back to the one remaining soul in the clearing, Kira.

"The Pups of Konohagakure seem to get more and more defiant with age," Wolf observed morosely. "Very well, meet with the Hokage and watch over your clansman. It is for the best."

A short pause.

"What shall I call you Nomi Hyuuga? Or Kira?"

A simple question at first glance, but upon closer inspection became much deeper. Was she to believe the first name or the second? The first lie or the second? Wolf still did not trust the woman standing across from her, but that did not matter at the moment. For at this moment, Ashi could respect her and that was enough. For now.

And what of those other names? Youka? Hmm....

"I would prefer Nomi when handling clan business. My name has been slandered within the village hidden in the Leaf unfortunately. It is something I wish to correct, and the reason why I offered to speak to lord Hokage Sama in Tatsuya's stead. " Would she regret this, she thought to herself. She prayed she wouldn't be forced to combat the girl. It was quite against her purpose, but she felt with the trust she'd been given it was only right to respond in kind.

"Nomi is truely my name, just as Kira. Of that I can assure you i did not like. My full name is Kiranomo hyuuga. I suppose my classification would be missing ninja, though I don't follow the ideals of the tactless brutes who've caused the title to be feared. I've been within the village for nearly a year protecting it with my team. Selene actually mentioned noticing an anbu with a wolf mask maybe a week or so ago, otherwise I suppose your existence here would have been a bit more..... Worrysome. If you've any questions for me I will gladly answer them as thanks for the kindness and trust you've shown me today. "

Within the village for a year?

Interesting. Shrugging mostly for the sake of it, Wolf meandered over to what was left of Kasai. In truth there was not much, ash, a sliver of that brightly colored mask and nothing else. Insensitively kicking the pile about so as to disperse the charred remains a bit, the anbu pondered what exactly there was to ask. As she rooted through the ashes themselves she found them rather hot, go figure. In an attempt to alienate the burn the anbu allowed medicinal chakra to flow through her right leg and into the respective foot.

"Kiranomo Hyuuga," Wolf said as if trying out the sound of the name. "You and the Nara pup talked of one by the name of Youka. Care to elaborate? And perhaps why you bear the name Hyuuga yet, claim to be the head of the Nara clan?"

Information was king in the job of an anbu and it was time to gather some more. Sending a low cloud of ashes into the air with a lazy kick, Wolf turned back Kira for an answer. Everyone deserved their day of judgment, but today Wolf would not be judging Kira. That was for a later date and a more opportune time. Better to speak of something else.

"Youka.... Is a very bad man. He was called the demon priest and well.... He was sort of my teacher. He picked me up in Ame half dead and protected me up to the point when he had no more use for me. Then he picked up several ninja from this very village. Five if I recall. Three are dead, one just left and I have to presume the fifth is currently being kicked around by an Anbu. His teaching methods were cruel and corrupting. To date I'm aware of three villages that have fallen at his hand. He destoryed my students home Yuki, My old home Iwa, and from what I've gathered from a boy at the gates Kumo has fallen to his strength also. It's my goal to eliminate him before he can corrupt any as he has myself and Tatsuya. " Her tone would be surprisingly close to that of the Anbu as she psoke, her eyes turning cold as she explained what her old teacher had done. She allowed the words to sink in for a few minutes, though more for her own good then for Ashi's.

"I am the head of the nara clan, raised in the hyuuga ways. I was an orphan from Amekagure. My addopted mother took me in when my mother left me on her doorstep, her life drifting quickly away. It wasn't until after I'd finished my time at the academy that I'd even learned of my heritage. As such I suppose i sit in both houses, all the while bearing these cursed eyes." As she spoke she'd allow the girl to see the sharingan that.... I think I said earlier i activated? If i didnt then like... I do now. Yep. good plan.

"I was raised to head of nara when the late head passed... I'm one of only a handful left training in the arts of my clan. "

The flow of chakra ceased as Ashi withdrew her foot from the cloud of ash. If she could spit on the boy's ashes she would, but alas her mask precluded such actions. Plus something else had entered Wolf's mind, thoughts of this Youka. A man who had abducted children from Konoha? The evidence that the village lacked any real protocol to prevent such intrusions was becoming more and more clear. Perhaps the fourth Hokage had been right? To control the world outside of Konoha one needed a boot on the throat of that world. Such musings were ones that now drifted lazily through the anbu's mind.

At least this Youka fellow brought Kumogakure to it's knees, maybe he not all bad?

Demon eyes? Ah, yes, now she saw them. The exact details of the Nara were unimportant before, but now she began to realize the malevolent glow from what could only be the infamous sharingan. This revelation, of course, would not help Kira's case in the long run. A member of another clan does not simply attain the sharingan by chance. More than likely there was an eyeless corpse lying somewhere. However, once again, the Uchiha clan was not Wolf's to shepherd. Kira would have to square with that clan on her own; it was not Wolf's place to dole out punishment for another clan especially the prideful Uchiha.

"If they are so cursed then rid yourself of them," Wolf replied matter of factly-she was never one to mince words. "To bloody one's lineage is, well..."

Ashi recalled what her parents once told her about the people who augmented themsleves with bloodlines for power alone.

"...It does your family a disservice and, more often than not, lands you in trouble around here." Wolf shrugged in an attempt to soften her veiled warning. Kira, proclaimed Nara leader, would do well to not flaunt her impure blood. "That aside I will have to look into this Youka character. He sounds like a threat at the very least....By any chance would you happen to know the names of those abducted by him and when, roughly, it took place?"

Information, she needed more information, more of it. She could check the records for Kira, but she could not easily figure out who was taken. Thus, for now, she still needed the woman across from her. While waiting, by force of habit alone, Wolf reached out with her well honed chakra senses and evaluated Kira beyond the physical realm. Certainly she had a mastery of the Nara clan's shadows as she demonstrated and some basic summoning skills. Then there was that scythe.

Let's go deeper shall we?

"It is a curse that is mine to bear. Since I was young the Uchiha have been a plague to me. Daily i'd find myself beaten to blood and left crying, a ring of children laughing at the girl who couldn't perform ninjutsu.... That bully was only my first. Within Amekagure A man bearing the cursed eyes took me, threatening to torture and experiment on my lifeless corpse. Within Yuki... My own student put a kunai to my throat with hopes of ending my life for no reason other then to prove his strength, most likely a product of a mission given by the demon priest. It was these eyes that ripped out my heart in the borders, solemnly accepting the death of their student... Their child. It was through these eyes that at least three villages were burned to the ground by your own rogue ninja.

My teachers, Maku and Youka have reformed the Akatsuki. Proof of this lays frozen at the entrance to the once great village hidden in the snow. They took the bodies. Spelled out the name." She paused for a moment, emotion overtaking her as tears formed behind her eyes. it wasn't like her to be emotional but these scars cut deep. "I took these eyes as punishment. Three children bearing crossed Konoha headbands helped end the existence of the village hidden in the snow. For their crimes I took their lives with a single jutsu, but... I am not one to hate without reasoning. Every man I've met who bears the red eyes has been evil, and as one with the capacity to understand all things I wanted to know why, so I took the eyes from the boys head and implanted them to learn what about this cursed strength caused them to go so cold.... And test if I had the resolve to take a different path. "

Her answer would be quite long of course, her history with the uchiha a tale of horror she wasn't actually sure why she'd shared. "I understand the disservice it holds naturally, however I do not gain power simply to flaunt it. I Seek out the strength I can gain from those who cause harm in order to combat a great enemy. Youka tau will fall to my blade when next we meet and I'll personally rid the world of the Akatsuki. that's actually why I'm here." She'd regained her resolve, though she knew too well what he'd suggested. She was careful in the Hyuuga district never to show off the three tomoe for fear of them removing her from the clan... or worse. "I dont know their names. I can tell you what power their blood has however. One was Uchiha, another Akimichi. Two old clans of Konohakagure I was glad to avenge the honor of. The third.... he had a strange ability. "

In response to the question, despite realization that it could very well cause another veiled threat on her life she would allow the iburi blood to activate, her arm turning to smoke for barelly a moment before returning to it's full form. "I've called it.... Smoke transformation. As a child of Konohakagure... I know how bad this looks however I've only harmed one without reason. I lost strength to the eyes and took a boys life. This sin stays on my conscience forever as reason to never cause harm again. He seemed to be either missing ninja or coward, fleeing in the borders of Yuki. I rationalized it initially as mercy. he'd have died within the snows before nightfall, Though now I'd as soon take a ninja into my own home then take their life. I came to Konoha for two reasons wolf. First to inform the hokage Navi of the three Konoha who destroyed my home, second to ask for assitance in combat against the fear of Akatsuki. To... To restart the shinobi alliance."

Have you ever seen the hackles on a dog raise? Well, in much the same way Wolf's body began to tense with each word Kira spoke. Who did she think she was? In the eyes of the suspicious anbu she was looking more and more like a power hungry monster. There are very few justifications in stealing another clan's bloodline. It did not happen by accident. People did not simply swap bloodlines willy-nilly. The civilized world did not work like that. There were lines that ought not be crossed. Such lines were ones that Kira had clearly stomped all over.

You monster.

Kira finished and Wolf moved. Aided by the use of the taijutsu body flicker technique, Wolf moved to a point directly in front of Kira so that less than a foot stood between them. It was fortuitous that the two stood roughly the same height or this would have been rather awkard. However, the masked anbu would look right into the crimson eyes of Kira without flinching. She stood there for a moment, than another and then another before speaking.

"Fighting a monster does not mean becoming one," Wolf growled. "You are a disgrace to your clan. If you truly wish to combat a monster fight him as yourself and not with bits and pieces stolen from other shinobi."

A pregnant pause followed as the last of the sun left the sky cloaking the land in twilight.

"That way, when you win it does not ring hollow."

A long pause this time before Wolf's body relaxed once more and she took a step back. There was no taking back her words now, not that she would if she could. The tension had returned to the air, but Wolf spoke again in an attempt to clear the air-her emotions had gotten the better of her.

"As for your talk with Navi? It will never come. The fifth Hokage has been missing for some time now. You will be speaking to the seventh Hokage."

Kurisu, Wolf had very little interaction with the man named Hokage. All she knew of him was that he once ruled Kumogakure as Raikage. That fact alone was enough for Wolf to be uneasy about him. Kumogakure had always held a special place of hatred in her heart.

Instinct begged the weapon back, though in different form. Even with Ashi's words drown out by the cry of her weapon of lore as the shield formed at incredible speed to set at its pace on her forearm defensively she could feel the bite of cruelty within. The cloak of night would flow across her skin, blackening her form, the preliminary steps taken to combat a threat activating the moment her body would be assumed to leave her sight. This would show the strength the girl held, that she could see the terrifying pace Ashi kept even through shunshin, her eyes barelly shifting to watch her movement, studying for sign of attack to create a defence. The air would clear of hatred and sorrow as both Ashi's words and the cry of her weapon slid into infinity, followed by two words spoken at barely a whisper.

"I know."

Her eyes spoke volumes to the girl, if she'd only listen, the flicker of hopelessness clear in simple study. Ashi would be able too easily to see fear, the true fear Kira had hid for so long even from those closest to her. Around her blackened body the taste of terror filled the air, The essence of her chakra more clear then before as it spread fully across her form. It would tell the story far better then her words, though she'd try anyway.

"Wolf. Have you ever felt unwelcomed in your home. hated in your village..... Unloved. One person in this world showed me kindness based on something other then my strength. A priest clothed in silken robes. " If allowed she'd take a step back here, finding a spot at the base of a tree only a few meters and sliding down the trunk to seat herself. This girl strangely enough amidst cold hatred understood her too well.

"How he picked up the half dead girl, breath shallow, eyes drifting in and out. Clothed her, carried her to safety, and taught her to stand for once. Do you understand the cycle of abuse wolf? disbelief that he would mean it... that he would truely slit your stomach open and spill your guts across the sand. The pep talks it takes to convince yourself these were training injuries. The bruises across your back from where threads of chakra threatened to rearange your insides. Deep black marks from where He lifted you with one hand off the ground with fingers gripped across your temple. convincing yourself its because you weren't strong enough. Because you'd hoped to find a place in the world of shinobi that didn't exstinguish the beauty of life. Questioning your morals as he spattered the brains of an elderly woman across your shirt just to take a few hundred ryo. "

She'd let that hang, wondering if she was wasting her breath. could she truely make this girl understand..... Did she want to. Absentmindedly she'd spin the sharpened shield in place, weave the chain length within the holes used to grip it when it's defensive use proved inefficient. It was comforting, if only for a moment.
