The Consequences of His Actions (Private/Solo)
Tue Jun 14, 2016 6:52 pm
Pain. It was pain unlike anything the boy he had felt before. Physical, emotional, mental, spiritual. There was pain everywhere someone could possibly be hurt, and it didn't show any signs of stopping. He was rushed into emergency surgery minutes after being brought to the hospital, and the pain slowly intensified as the adrenaline from the fight with Kurushimi wore off. It wasn't a game anymore, the ninja life wasn't something that he was able to move through carefree. His resolve was strengthened, and all he could think about was how to become a stronger ninja. He knew that he would have to tear his mind away from Kurushimi, but it wasn't something that he could bring himself to do.
When he finally arrived for surgery, they did a quick assessment of the total amount of injuries. In the department of broken bones, four bones in his hand were fractured when his punch was grabbed, both his arms were broken during Kurushimi's counterattacks, multiple ribs were cracked and broken from a strong punch delivered by his brother, and there was a small fracture in his shoulder when he was caught during his fall in the valley. The other injuries were several large bruises, minor internal bleeding, burns across his chest and sections of the bottom right side of his face, and a large gash that extended from the bottom of his right cheek up past his eye and ending in his eyebrow. Despite the best efforts of the medical ninja, his eye likely wasn't going to be able to be saved during the surgery. He eventually would likely be able to get a replacement, but it wouldn't be until his body was physically capable of handling more surgery. It was a long night for the medical ninja of the Hidden Leaf Village, but eventually most of his bones were set and stitched together using medical ninjutsu. It'd require a great deal of physical therapy and an extended stay at the hospital, but the boy was going to be able to continue his responsibilities as a genin if he so desired.
Takamitsu's eye opened groggily, and he slowly looked around and took in his surroundings. He didn't remember being taken to the hospital, as most of that night had blended together into a mixture of pain and anger. He had been asleep for over a day, which gave the medical ninja a decent opportunity to continue operations without much objection from the boy. It was time to recover, now, and the nurses fully intended to allow him that time. When the boy looked across his body, his arms were covered in tight bandaging, and his ribs were in a similar state. He felt the soft material of the bandages extending across most of his face, and he was able to feel the burns and cuts that were left by his brother. In short, he was having a very bad time, and it all was thanks to his arrogance on that night.
His rehabilitation that followed for over two weeks was quite effective with the assistance of medical jutsu, and he was beginning to readjust to his post operation body. The boy also had to deal with the slight changes in his sight that he experienced, and he began to rely more on his other senses in order to properly perform at the capacity that he used to. When and if he eventually did get a new eye, he'd likely perform at a higher caliber than he did before thanks to the extra training he had put towards his senses. That all didn't matter in the present, though, all that mattered is that the boy was close to discharge and he could soon resume his training.
