It was unusual that Kyousuke was to proctor a genin exam, he had done a few. Not nearly as many as others. It was time to get in gear and do his duties, sloth was a sin after all. One that the jounin would not like to fall prey to. So, grabbing a score card from the academy desk the ninja looked over the task the students had to complete before being awarded the rank of genin and receiving a headband.

There were two jutsu that the student was required to know before they were allowed to advance. The clone technique and the transformation technique. Thinking back Kyousuke had known zero jutsu before he became a jounin. It seemed strange that kids were learning these things before he was. But, it didn’t matter he knew how to do them now and was ready for the student that was taking the exam. Looking down at the paper the jounin recognized the first name Miyamoto Terumi.


“Well, that was fast.” The Jugo said thinking that either Shiro or Lucien had to have trained him. Opening the door, he hoped to see the boy waiting outside if he did, the man would welcome him into the room. Before motioning for the boy to sit, while taking his own seat.

“Okay, to pass the genin exam you must demonstrate the clone and transformation techniques and explain how each technique can be used.” He handed Miyamoto a pen and paper. “Just write your name and birth date on there, I will fill out the rest.”

The jounin would take the paper back once the boy was ready. He had one last thing to say to the boy before he started. “Extra credit if you can tell me one use of the rock section cane.”

“If you are ready, begin and good luck.”

The waiting room of the academy was decorated with a very unprecidented amount of art and history plaques of shinobi past as well as history of the queensguard.  It was not long before the door to the academy demonstration room opened as he saw that it was none other than Snow-Senpai that seemed to be the proctor today.  Miyamoto bowed after entering the room, and then was promptly greeted with a clipboard and pen as he filled in his name and birth date.  After turning the clipboard in Miyamoto smiled as he was given the instructions on the exam, and bonus points for explaining the use for the Rock Section Cane.

Upon hearing the words that he can begin Miyamoto's demeanor suddenly changed from that of a happy-go-lucky child, to a serious aura of discipline.  Miyamoto focused the chakra into his base chakra point as he made the hand signs at a speed of 8; Ram, Snake, Tiger as *POOF* a cloud of smoke seemingly exploded outward from Miyamoto as an exact copy of Miyamoto, no mistakes in posture or looks as Miyamoto stepped toward the desk that Snow was sitting at and gestured back at his clone.

"The Clone Technique is a basic Jutsu that almost every academy can learn.  I say almost, becausse not every student is able to perform jutsu...some are only inclined to taijutsu, but back to the point.  The Clone Technique can be used in a variety of different ways.  It's practical applications include; shadowing or escorting a V.I.P. if by chance you believe that you might be able to take out any targets quickly and with stealth as to not spook your V.I.P., You can use your clone to shadow you during training so that you can perfect your movements in any form of the shinobi, finally you can use the clone to set up a trap so that you can draw your enemy in close so that you may be able to set up a finishing move to incapacitate your foe."

All the while the clone would interact with Miyamoto mirroring his movements, as he used his clothing to mimic a V.I.P., to shadow him while training till he finds a finishing move to dissipate the clone.  Miyamoto then stepped back to his original spot before the desk as he brought up the image of Lucien in his head.  He studied for nights on end since learning the Transformation technique so that he can expand his control and use of chakra.  He kept focusing on the image as he made the hand signs; Dog, Boar, Ram at a speed of 8.  His form changed as another explosion of smoke appeared around him, and by the time it dissipated he had taken the form of Lucien.  He made careful not that his voice match Lucien's as he walked around the room, forehead beading with a bit of sweat now as he maintained control over his new form.


"The Transformation Technique as we learned and from what I took away from Lucien teaching me...is that this technique is a very difficult one to not only obtain as an academy student...but that it is truly difficult to maintain.  You can tell that by the ammount of sweat that I currently excrete, and I know that this is not a good way to promote that I have the ability to use the jutsu...but I can only get better.  Now onto the practical uses of this amazing technique.  This technique can easily be used to set up a trap for a desired target so that you can get close enough to capture or incapacitate your target.  You can use it to gather information in a mission as long as you can maintain your desired transformation and the information that he/she may know.  Finally you can use it of course to play pranks on your family and friends..."

Miyamoto said with a smirk as he looked at Snow.  He knew that the air in the room was a serious one, but he could not help but make a small joke during the exam.  It helped to ease the tension both in himself, and so that he could make this exam a memorable one.  He then performed the Transformation Techniques one more time, putting his all in the hand signs and Chakra of 15 as he transformed with a *poof* into the one...the only...Snow.  He then looked at Snow and in his voice he said.

"IF you feel that you still have the energy...you can run around the village...twice."

He canceled the Jutsu right after as he reached up and scratched the back of his head.

"Sorry about that proctor Snow...I could not help myself..."

He said as stood back at attention for the extra credit question he was asked before the exam started.  He pulled out a rock and focused his Chakra in his right hand for the last time as made the Tiger Seal with one hand as the rock quickly became a quarter staff.  He made sure to infuse more chakra into the staff as he snapped it in two,  holding the pieces in both of his hands he threw one of the pieces into the air at a speed and strength of 4 as he focused on it as it flew into the air.  He launched himself up and took the last piece of the staff and he smacked it with a strength of 6 and a speed of 4, causing the flung piece to embed into the floor under him as he carefully landed on the now cracked poiece of rock under him, before launching off at a speed and strength of 7, using the embeded staff as a spring board before he stuck the piece of his staff into the ceiling and he held onto it tightly as he now hung in the ceiling and he waved down at snow.

"The Rock Section Cane can be used as a launching platform to increase your height to get over walls, enemies, traps, or to set up an attack."

He smiled as he pulled the cane from the ceiling and then landed right in front of the desk before canceling the Cane Jutsu.  He then bowed before Snow and as he breathed hard he awaited the verdict.

The jounin watched as the boy performed each jutsu, writing down a perfect score as the boy made a clone. The clone was well made, looked, and stood perfectly. He gave a score of seven out of ten on the transformation. It seemed to strain Miyamoto much more, to a point that if an enemy were paying attention they could see the sweat and wonder why they were so nervous. Giving them pause to look further and assess. The jounin quickly crossed the seven out of ten out though as the boy transformed into him. The level of detail in the transformation was exceptional. Nine out of ten, it was like looking in a mirror.

The man let go of his pen as the boy told him to do laps around the village. Oh, he is going to like this. “No, no, its fine. You are just having some fun.” The jounin said pulling out a headband from the desk. “Congratulations, you are now a genin of Hoshigakure!” He handed Miyamoto the headband as he displayed the function to contact other ninja in the area. “It takes some training, but it is pretty simple. Just link your chakra to it and when you need help put some energy into it.”

“Go ahead and put it on.” Once the boy had the headband on it was time for Kyousuke to have some fun. “As a ninja it is your job to listen to higher ups. So, two laps around the village, have fun.” He would open the door with that taking the scorecard with him and letting the door close behind him.

“Just kidding, grab your stuff and lets go eat! Bring your family if you want.” He said opening the door back up.

Miyamoto was astounded as Snow seemed to like his mimic transformation.  Then as he was handed the headband, he began to tear up.  He had done it, he was now a shinobi of the village...things really were changing around him...he could make a difference.  Miyamoto came back to reality as he listened to Snow tell him how the headband worked and then as he walked back to the door to leave and lead Miyamoto out he told Miyamoto to do two laps around the village then he shut the door.

It floored Miyamoto as he was tired, but so full of energy all he could do was gawk at the door.  Then it opened as Snow was laughing then told Miyamoto to come with him it was time to eat and celebrate.  He did invite his family too.  

This was the beginning of a new day for Miyamoto...a new brighter future hopefully awaited him.
