It's All In The Breathing
Fri Oct 07, 2016 6:02 pm
Another day passed and it would be spent with Enyo training, he was feeling as though he was becoming an exceptional ninja even if he was still weaker than most. That was nothing a little training and hard work couldn’t solve which is why he was out in the forest in the middle of the night. His body feeling a bit fatigued but him paying it no mind would show his determination. To whom he was showing this determination to? Why himself of course! Who else would this hard work be for other than him and his brother. A day never passed that he didn’t think about his brother, he never had to mention him but he was a constant reminder of why he wanted to become a strong man.
His brother wished that he could become a ninja incredibly bad which made Enyo feel bad for not trying during his father’s training course but after realizing this depressing fact of ambitious hope that would never be attained Enyo grew a gleam in his eye. It was as if he were a tiger fixated on his prey. With this being said he figured it would be best to train his body and taijutsu since his train of thought was focused on physical aspects and all. To start the next round of training Enyo would stretch his body starting with his right arm which he would pull across his chest to stretch his back triceps and other various muscles of his body.
Next was the left and and then the legs would fall after this, the flexibility of his body was fairly important as the techniques of the Hiyu were based on the physical condition of the member itself. If the Hiyu member didn’t have any flexibility than how would the toy soldier jutsu alter his body to be any better than a normal human beings? Of course it was better than what he had already but not good enough, this seemed to be a reoccurring theme in life. Things not being good enough, it was as if the world was trying to tell you to give up but it’s quite the opposite. The world is telling you to try harder, you can’t become a ninja with half-assed techniques and training regimens.
All of these thoughts ran through Enyo’s mind as he finished stretching. “Taking into account my body being as fatigued as it is I think I should go all out on my legs, this will ensure they don’t shut down on me during an over encumbering battle.” Enyo thought to himself as he began to practice his kicks making sure his foot stuck straight up as he held it in the air. During this he realized something that would also vastly improve his ability to gain stamina and stay in the battle. It was the Seven Heavens Breathing Method, this jutsu increases the lung capacity of the user while giving them a strength boost at the same time. His father used it once against him in a spar where he was sure to win. Or at least that is what Enyo thought. His father truly had unimaginable strength but he toned it down as he didn’t want to crush his son.
Anyhow, he figured it was worth it to train this jutsu but what did he need to do in order to activate this specific breathing. When he thought back on his father using the technique he remembered that he was using a specific hand seal through each breath and that must have been the cause of the jutsu’s activation. “What was it thought?” Enyo thought to himself as he racked his brain to remember. That is when he remembered his father didn’t use one of the specific hand seals since this isn’t ninjutsu it didn’t require one, just one unique to the user. That is when Enyo thought about the hand sign him and his brother used to do when they both had aspirations of becoming a ninja.
Enyo stood in his stance holding out the hand seal which consisted of him putting both of his index fingers and his thumbs together in order to form a circle after which his remaining fingers would be held straight, it was an odd formation indeed but it was unique to only him and his brother thus he would use it. With the hand seal now formed Enyo took in deep breaths, he felt his lungs expanding. In, out, in, out they went as he took each breath individually until he finally got to seven. A feeling overcame his body and what an wonderful feeling it was, it was euphoric if he were to come up with a better word for it. A state of nirvana, he noticed he could not use his chakra and when he began to kick it seemed to be more taxing on his muscles yet he executed them faster than he could interpret.
Truly this jutsu was a contradiction within itself, but it worked nonetheless, whoever created this was a madman Enyo thought to himself as he began to go through his taijutsu training regimen as if it were nothing. Although it was something, his muscles were essentially ripping themselves apart due to his body being pushed way past his original extent. “What a feeling this is, it’s as if I am floating on a cloud that continuously burns me. This is a feeling every martial artist should feel before they die.” Enyo exclaimed as he raced through the forest at top speed. He wished his brother could see him now, it was as if he were a new person. Enyo soon stopped himself from goofing off and began to train in that state, it was a hell of a lot harder and he constant thought about quitting but he continued to push through it. He knew that once he came out the other side he would be a lot stronger than he was before.
It was like a hyperbolic time chamber to his training. As his body began to break down he figured it would be better to stop now before he permanently disabled his body, it was an amazing technique but a dangerous one as well. How could and sane ninja stay in that state for more than a few hours? Enyo thought as he released the jutsu using the same hand seal he used to activate the jutsu. “That was truly an experience that I will never forget but when I use it next time I will use Hiyu techniques to see how the combos work. Now it’s time to head home before I pass out in the middle of the forest which wouldn’t be very good for me, but it might for the creatures of the forest.” Enyo chuckled as he began to walk home in the moonlit light. While doing so he seen a couple of ninja traversing the forest by tree, he wondered what they were up to and wanted to tail them but he figured it was a waste of time since he had next to no energy to run.
His eyes met with one of the ninja for a brief, but he really didn’t pay it no mind he just figured that it was coincidental so he continued to head home.
