The mind of Yazu was not a simple functioning organ, that simply maintained life by instructing it to breathe and that would occasionally have a thought. It was a complex machine, the gears in which churned like clockwork as he planned and plotted schemes in an attempt to achieve the maximum outcome. So for Yazu hearing the words of his leader as he consoled him and told him of his own troubled path, would mean a great deal, In both information and exposition to be held onto for later use, and in the kinship that would naturally be felt by the boy. He had always felt outcast and alone, and this isolation only introverted him further and amplified his own paranoia. He was alone as a murderer among shinobi who constantly struggled emotionally with the bloody tasks placed before them. so he listened very carefully to the details surrounding Xyxer's past and his explanation of how he rose to power, committing them to memory.
So the Lord Xyxer had always dreamed of greatness, and while he strove for that goal his whole life, the man before Yazu was one who had achieved what he searched for and was left unsatisfied. An interesting puzzle for Yazu to decipher. However what Yazu longed for was not to become a legend, instead preferring to remain off the radar. He longed for Eternal Life, to become unkillable by external means. As long as he retained a steady supply of hearts he had infinite longevity, so all he needed was to keep those hearts from being destroyed. In that one aspect, Yazu knew exactly what he was and what he longed for. However, the more complicated matter was how to survive in a world where those around him found the boy an abomination.
"An interesting question you pose m'lord. And the answer is simple. We have not begun our journey across the water." Yazu's innocent smile would fade slightly as the corners of his lips began to curl appearing relatively more sinister. This was his inner smile, one that could only be seen when he was intrigued. This was the smile that Chinou saw on the battlefield that day, the last smile that Keito experienced, and a smile that Kozata knew well. Yazu could physically feel all of the fear and dread he felt for the man before him leave him as it was replaced by a deep respect. He always felt Xyxer killed on a whim to ensure his people felt an adequate amount of fear, like a typical tyrant, but instead he killed out of boredom which caused him to regress into old habits.
"In truth Lord Xyxer, it is because I feel I have more to gain by sheathing my stinger than I would by unleashing it. Why would a smaller young scorpion attack a giant one when there was nothing the larger one had that he wanted?" the white haired boy would state plainly ending the question with a high inflection, moving his hands while he talked slightly for the first time at ease in present company.
"Also i must apologize for what i did to your secretary. Haru's beliefs infuriated me and I needed to send that man a lesson, she was an unfortunate casualty in my war against him and his rule." Yazu didn't truly know whether he had killed the woman, but as he had left that office with such great bloodlust he could not tell whether it was a realistic dream, or a violent massacre that had truly happened, but the honesty he was shown this day inspired within him a unnatural sense of guilt which he felt he must tell the Lord, because we all must pay the penance in the end.

Remaining on the balls of his feet, Xyxer watched Yazu's features in anticipation of his response to his question. It was intriguing him none the less, the fact that this boy in all reality should be lashing out at him and attempting to kill the male for his power, and his weaponry, if he truly was a scorpion. After all, that was their nature, and they could not change that aspect of themselves no more than a ginger could soothe the absence of their soul. For Xyxer, he knew the reason he didn't sting the male opposite him was because it would not be a challenge. It was not in Xyxer's nature to personally kill people who posed no threat to him, because there was no game in it, no glory. He was a predator by nature, but he did not enjoy troubling himself with prey that wasn't worth his scope. The boy was only a Chuunin currently, and rank dictated he was nowhere near his calibre, not yet at least.. Like a fine wine, he would allow this boy to mature, and once his power had started to flourish and emerge in all it's splendor and he could provide an adequate challenge to the Mizukage.. then.. perhaps the leader would allow him to engage in combat with him, for the scorpions to circle one another before the fateful clashing of their stingers. It was quite likely one of them would not leave the encounter if it was to occur, which made the thought even more appealing.
However, Yazu's response to the questioning impressed Xyxer, even throwing him off of his guard a little bit with how he had managed to provide an adequate reason for him not truly being a pussy. Yazu was merely waiting for the frog to carry him across the lake, but did he truly see the man that was labelled as a monster by one and all as a gentle, escorting creature? The mentality of Yazu continued to amuse Xyxer, causing him to want to learn more about the way he ticked, the way he operated when performing questionable actions. There was of course, a certain degree of respect radiating from the boy since he was telling the leader almost straight up that he was willing to sting if he was provoked, and that sort of boldness was warming. A shinobi who did not hide behind lies, but clearly presented his stance in the situation and he was filled with enough courage to stand by that decision.
He next stated that he had little to gain from an attempt on Xyxer's life, which was even more curious as it insinuated he did not care for the power that a rank bestowed upon him. It was well documented that to become the Mizukage you had to kill the prior Mizukage due to the brutality of the villase, and yet he did not care enough for the power of that rank in order to try and take it from him. Perhaps he was solely in this life to sting people, and to take what he wanted from others. In doing so, how much of a threat was he to his own people if he could not adequately use him as a weapon against others due to this volatile nature he was exhibiting? He'd respond to the second line at this point, "You do not care for the glory you would attain from slaying the feared Abysswalker? Many would pay to see my head on a spike, Yazu, I'm sure you are aware that I have enemies in most villages that exist within this small world. Do you not care for the shinobi you could control if you were to take my position from me?" Xyxer prodded at the male, attempting to learn more about his psyche than he was fully letting on.
Then there was a curious thing said by the male before him that blew away almost everything else that had been said prior.. He was apologising for the murder of his secretary, despite her being in fighting condition back at the Mizukage building when he had left this morning. At this point, Xyxer started to wonder whether he was talking to a very delusional male, which wouldn't be a surprise given his physical appearance that he could have gone insane from loneliness, in fact there was little doubt in the leader's mind that he was one of the few people that didn't see anyone outwardly horrendous about his aesthetic, and it was merely an unfortunate defect for him. Was he truly born a monster as he seeks comfort in saying, or was he made this way from how often other children and adults would snub him when he was a child? It was a curious thought, one that he would surely think about later on, but for now, he would intercept his thought path to talk about what he had just said, "You believe you've harmed my secretary, Yazu? That's.. funny, as my old secretary remains alive and well, and she hasn't been sporting any injuries ever since I retained my position.. Am I talking to a male who is insane?" Xyxer remained in the same position as he had been before, yet the threat of violence would now more than ever seem apparent.
For some reason, it was around this time that Xyxer felt a divine being tell him 'You best start implementing that new technique, Xyxer, or the higher ups will deny you it for aeons to come, go now my child', and it was then that Xyxer knew what he must do. He stood back from Yazu, pulled out his meaty sword, and started swinging Samehada for the fences. He would learn the sacred technique, even if he had to look like a retard in every topic to attain it.

Yazu was still seated upon his knees, the cold ground he was upon had become warm in the amount of time he was forced to be there, but he was not uncomfortable from sitting on his knees for as long as he had. Xyxer's face remained extremely close to his but this did little to bother him, as he knew his own stench far surpassed the smell of Xyxer's breath which smelled of a man whose diet primarily consisted of proteins and fermented starches, like that of a drunk. That would not phase Yazu at all, as he had jars of human organs in jars of formaldehyde scattered about his basement, and that smell had numbed his gag reflex, though surely if he did have one it would be reacting at this point.
Yazu thought about that smell, forcing his mind to come to terms with something he had known for a while. He did want to be feared and respected, but he did not want to be known. The less that others knew of him the better. He wanted to be a ghost, a name whispered on the wind that brought fear into those who heard it. The title of Mizukage was one he did not crave. He did not want that level of responsibility, and moreover he did not want the upstarts and glory seekers to search out "the man who killed the Abysswalker." So for the boy this meant that risking death by attacking him now or ever in the future, would never perceptibly be a worthwhile trade. For Yazu being the Most feared Hunter to walk the village, who has slain Kage from other villages and is seated at the left hand of the king would be his truest intent and goal. The man whose name enemies and villagers alike most feared The Lord calling on. Stealth and discretion, an invisible ghost whose tendrils frightened those who knew of him.
The boy would respond to the first question posed to him. " I do not seek glory for glory's sake, like you m'lord. My tastes are somewhat less refined. I do not lust for the gazes of your enemies, who would be denied their glory, only to have them turn to me, and seek me out. I wish to remain a ghost, for my name to feared but not displayed. Leadership is not a role I believe I could fulfill at this time, nor one that I even want, with that being said Lord Xyxer, I must pay homage to you. As to sting you right now would most certainly not be in my best interest, so for the sake of self preservation, my stinger remains sheathed. Though I would be more than elated to unleash it on anyone you would ask." He had a suspicion that this answer would not directly please the Mizukage, but Yazu needed to explain himself, and allow Xyxer the insight into how his subordinate operated. Though the two may be cut from similar cloth, they were not cut to be the same shape.
When asked the second question, Yazu's grin would shrink slightly hiding his teeth some. "Insanity is an unfortunate side effect to my condition. In that time period, I was not in a good place, with Kozata's death weighing on my hearts, and the loss of a competent leader. However, I have embraced that aspect of me. To be great is to be misunderstood." Yazu would answer his grim having shrunk to a thin line splitting his face. His hearts pounded in unison, rapidly increasing. He tried his hardest to bury the voice inside. Dio's cackle would rise in his mind, and would shrink away. Yazu would lean back and shift up onto his feet so that he was similarly crouched on the balls of his feet directly across from him. Starting to dust the dirt off of his knees. Yazu would not stand until he saw Xyxer do so but had hoped the movement would inspire him to move into a standing position. Xyxer would then begin swinging the monstrous sword wildly as if a man possessed. Yazu worried that the man would catch him in the great arcs created by the sword so he would nimbly take two steps back out of range. Beneath his long kimono sleeves his hands clasped each other preparing to form hand seals, the masks shifted within his back. The suiton technique he had been practicing was waiting to be unleashed if need be. Though the attack was mildly ridiculous, Yazu chose not to underestimate Xyxer regardless of what he was doing.

With the clothed scales of Xyxer's monstrous blade crashing through the sky, Xyxer noticed a flicker of movement from his peripheral vision, and the sight of a flowing kimono flowing away from him. Stopping his swinging momentarily, he brought the top of the blade, which of course, was the at the opposite end than the hilt, and pressed it down into the sullen ground, turning to look towards the boy who had retreated from the Mizukage. The cold, constantly appraising eyes of the Mizukage scanned over the boy who had departed from his kneeling position so that he should be safe from the man and his antics, and that of course, not only was a sign of fear and a complete absence of trust.. but the breaking of a rule. Disobeying the Mizukage's orders was a punishable offense, and most punishments within this village were treated with death. Yet, it could not be said that Xyxer did not enjoy toying with his food, even his own villagers. Watching the anaemiac for a few seconds, Xyxer's tongue pressed against the soft flesh that made up the inside of his cheek, prodding at it momentarily so that only a faint patter of rain, combined with the forever howling wind of Kirigakure was heard. This was time for both of them to consider what could happen, what may happen, and what very well is going to happen as a direct result of this situation, even if it was not of immediate importance.
Fluctuating the chakra within his body momentarily, he'd allow a rise and fall to shift through himself, igniting his limbs with a fiery warmth while they stood opposite one another. It was much akin to someone putting on a freshly ironed shirt and pants, with the chakra sonsistently warming him up before dropping back down, ensuring he would not sprain any of his limbs should a fight truly occur from the precarious situation they had found themselves in. Breaking the silence finally, Xyxer's eyebrows lifted up to accentuate the absence of emotion really in his eyes, something he assumed a fellow psychopath would be able to understand, yet the mask would remain on for both of them. His head recoiled backwards an inch or two as if he was shocked, his mouth slightly agape in a feign of surprise before he spoke out condescendingly, "Shit, kid. Did I scare you?" The male jabbed towards him verbally, tilting his head as if he was expecting a response from the boy who consisted of threading under his human skin.
Regardless of whether his response was silence, or whether he decided to form some kind of rebuttal towards him that wouldn't inspire a more aggressive action from the scorpion, he started walking towards Yazu tentatively. His sandals lifted from the moist earth, moving forward in casual steps as if Xyxer was merely making his way to the front of a queue to check out a cool DVD regarding musicals and high school. Just a little less flamboyant, and sing songy. Lifting Samehada up as he started to walk from the position to cover the few steps Yazu had taken back, he rest the clothed blade on his shoulder, propping it up while the two were barely two steps apart. "Pardon me for scaring you, Yazu. My sincerest apologies for making you think you'd be getting hurt today. I understand that's a scary prospect." At this point, granted Yazu had not tried to murk the Mizukage, his free hand that was not holding onto the hilt of his weapon lifted up from his side and planted itself firmly on the shoulder of Yazu that coincided with that hand, acting as if he was patting him on the shoulder to try comfort him.
Keeping his hand there with a faint, sardonic smile as was courtesy of Xyxer, he cracked up after a second and spoke once more, laughing somewhat during the middle of his words, "I'm just fucking with you, Yazu. It was interesting to talk to you today, it seems we've learned a lot about one another." Xyxer stated, removing his hand from the shoulder of the boy granted he had not killed him at this point, taking a step or two back before he'd turn around and start walking off while talking, "I do have to depart however, my schedule's hazy and I'm expected to carry out some punishments. I hope to see you again soon, Yazu, take care." Xyxer spoke as he walked off from the area after his slight game, a smile on his face for the entirety of the walk.
However, upon reaching this stage, Xyxer noted that he was around two hundred words off from hitting four thousand words, not that he would know that in character, but he needed some form of compensation to make up for this wordly absence he was suffering from. Patting the clothed blade of Samehada while it rest on his shoulder, he'd stroke the ribbons for a few seconds while speaking to his pet, cooing the wonderful blade, "Who's a hungry boy? You are! Who's gonna' eat some low lives and grow up big and strong? Fuck yeah, it's you!" and while his words comforted the creature, he could not help but pat it some more. Samehada was not a doggo, nor was it a pupper, but it was a good boy none the less, for it was a sharkko, a.. sworddo? I'm not entirely sure on what it would be classified as, but the only thing for sure, was that it was most certainly a very good boy. Chuckling once more as he walked off into the distance, even further, probably to his Mizukage building, he hoped he had finally reached his wordcount.

Yazu's hands would move instantly and precisely, from where they were hidden beneath the log sleeves of his Kimono. Horse first into dog, bird, ox.... The technique was nearing its final moments of completion the chakra would slowly surge, though not a vast amount, that was not until the final symbol would be formed and the technique was enacted. Didd Yazu really want to engage this man? The warrior who stood before him with his perfect physique and the keen eyes and mind of a killer. The scorpion who killed simply because he was a scorpion, not considering the ride across the pond. The moment he finished the rapid hand movements that were discretely hidden, Xyxer would stop his wild swinging. That would be all it took to make Yazu force a pause and stop at the end of the technique. It was well prepared and would initiate flawlessly, should he need it, but it seemed Xyxer had no intention of harming the boy to begin with, and that his reaction was in fact the wrong move. The blade would cease its swinging and would find itself tip first in the ground by Xyxers feet. That would be when Xyxer would tread forward toward Yazu, who in response would relax his shoulders and once again take a calm approach, falling to his knees once again with his fingers preparing to snap into the final hand sign for the tech.
Yazu was in no way frightened, fear was not an emotion that he felt around the Lord anymore. Xyxer had become predictable, even for all of his unpredictability. Yazu hade simply decided it may be wise to back off, as the man still illicited a large degree of respect from the white haired boy. Why would he kill his own leader and why on this day?
The Mizukage would place his hand upon Yazu's shoulder, and the boy would try his hardest not to flinch or show any sign of weakness, for he knew this man could smell it like blood in the water. Xyxer continued to speak but gave no real opportunity for a rebuttal, instead announcing his departure and beginning to baby talk his sword. However, it mattered not because even if he had Yazu would've remained silent preferring not to tempt fate.
Yazu remained on the ground and contemplated the technique, one he had practiced with some success on other occasions. However Yazu was an expert at Ninjutsu, a prodigy in it truly. There was no technique too difficult or too powerful for him. So had he needed to use the Earth Dragon in this moment it would not have proven difficult. After Xyxer had left and gone out of sight, Yazu would wait another several minutes ensuring the man was indeed gone, as he would finish the technique: forming the snake sign. As the massive dragon would rise from the ground and encompass everything in its path, Opening its mouth and destroying the trees in its path. A beautiful technique the boy had thought to himself, quite worthy of being used by him.
Today would be a huge success and mark an important milestone in the boy's life. The day he had met the Mizukage. The boy would stand leaving the crumpled earth surrounding him and head off back to his shack.
