Re: Chuunin Exam Trial Part 3

Reizo saw the Raikage go for his wrist, but there wasn't much he could do to react in time. He was far too slow to properly protect himself from such a counter attack. Reizo hoped that Senshi would have some success with his attack, but that hope was fading fast as Senshi just seemed to be outclassed in Taijutsu despite their otherwise fairly even speed. Reizo fast realized he was becoming just a sideshow for the Raikage while he entertained Senshi in a one on one, despite Reizo's attack to try and dispel that type of fight. It angered Reizo that he wasn't really being taken as a serious threat, and he wanted to take his Taijutsu to the next level to prove he was worth acknowledging. Unfortunately, the grab would be incredibly hard for Reizo to deal with since it restricted his movement and attacking options severely. The one thing Reizo didn't want to happen, happened. The only action the Raikage could take that would've been troublesome to him would be to grab him. Reizo had to hand it to the Raikage; he shouldn't be surprised that somebody with his strong Taijutsu and all of his experience would see through his attack so easily. The Raikage gripped Reizo's left arm tightly and yanked him forward. It looked like he was set to collide with Senshi, but the Genin wouldn't let that happen so easily.
The Raikage had underestimated him, thinking he could just become a ragdoll. He should've taken me more seriously, Reizo thought, I'm not going to let him just abuse me like this. I won't let this opportunity to be so close go to waste. As he was pulled forward, Reizo would grab the Raikage's right and thus nearest shoulder with his free, right hand. The boniness of the Raikage's skeletal frame alarmed the Genin, but he didn't think about it too much. Reizo would then apply a ton of pressure downward on the Raikage's collarbone, specifically targeting the pressure point in the area to force him to release his grip on him (194/234 AP; 110 Strength, 110 Speed, Early Sacrifice). As all this happened, Reizo would use his strength to propel himself over the Raikage, effectively using his body to block the Raikage's line of sight to Senshi while simultaneously wrenching free from the Raikage's grip around his left wrist. "Don't underestimate me!" Reizo would say, with a tinge of anger in his voice. He really did feel like he was being toyed with at this point, and didn't want to stand for it.
"Early Sacrifice" was one of those jutsu he had been practicing in private. A powerful A-ranked jutsu that gave Reizo the much needed strength to suppress the Raikage's movements. No human was naturally strong enough to escape from the immense pressure applied once the user was on top of the target. The immense strength Reizo applied to the Raikage's pressure point would force the Raikage to remain stationary, unable to move from his spot or change direction, or else he would collapse. This would mean the Raikage was locked in his current stance as well- he wouldn't be able to block with his legs the incoming attack from Senshi at his manhood. Once Senshi had performed his hand signs, Reizo would go completely vertical to apply as much strength as possible. Once Senshi's attack connected (or if it didn't), Reizo would then attempt to use his full weight to throw the Raikage across the room; he would flip over and plant himself on the ground to bring the Raikage into the air, and then throw him with all his strength. Specifically, Reizo would aim so that the Raikage would hit the ground only a couple feet from the wall. He didn't want to give Youka the means to kick off the wall and retaliate, but he also didn't want the Raikage to immediately balance himself on the ground, to leave him vulnerable to another follow up attack.
The instant the Raikage would make contact with the ground, Reizo was looking to make his move. He had to put forth his strongest effort, whatever that was. Reizo would compliment his comrade, for his cheap attack. Reizo had to admit he wouldn't have thought to go for such an underhanded tactic, but it was smart to use any and all means necessary. They ordinarily wouldn't stand any chance against a shinobi as strong as the Raikage. "Nice, Senshi. It's my turn now. Stand back," he would say. Immediately flaring up his chakra and facing the direction of the Raikage for his final attack, before the Raikage would even be able to stabilize himself or get on his hands and feet. Reizo would hit the back of his open left palm with his right fist, and an immense vacuum of wind consumed the room in front of the Genin. In such tight quarters, the attack would be essentially unavoidable. The most notable aspect of the jutsu was the sound. The wind ripped around the two Genin, and nearly blew out the wall where the Raikage was. Reizo made his unique hand sign for the Daytime Tiger, and the image of a white tiger exploded out from the Genin's hands (154/234 AP; 50 Power, 50 Speed, Daytime Tiger). The tiger roared as it attacked the Raikage, now completely blowing away the back wall and any of the building caught behind it. Wood and debris would fly outward. Finally, Reizo would call the name of the jutsu, "Daytime Tiger," he would say, in an almost matter-of-fact way. No yelling, just a calm statement of fact of the jutsu's name. It would barely be audible over the sound of the flying debris and wind.
This was Reizo's final attack- hopefully it would do the damage he hoped it would. It was his only jutsu that could potentially cause any damage to someone of the Raikage's caliber, so Reizo thought. Even if the Raikage had somehow managed to get out of Reizo's initial grapple and throw, he would've still committed to using the Daytime Tiger. He really wanted to force the Raikage's hand, no matter what this time. He didn't want to be seen as just a sideshow for a 1 on 1 fight between the Raikage and Senshi, especially when he was supposed to be the Taijutsu specialist of the two.

Te fledgling ninja were becoming more and more in tune with each other it seemed. The more they fought and blocked the other off the more it showed how they gradually were becoming able to read each others body motions and move accordingly. They spoke less and provided little to no eye contact with each other which made it harder to read their movements and would help them greatly in the long run. He smiled to himself enjoying how fast they were growing.
Sadly he couldn't spend his whole day sparring with the two and he was sure they would enjoy the luxury of moving on from this trial to the next step. Fighting was always where he felt the most at home, and having time to do just that with fellow ninja made his hearts flutter with joy. His mind had grown absent from the happenings around him as he felt being tuned to the arena fully wasn't needed. He was in the process of bringing Reizo into him with a harsh pull of the boys arm and when there was little to no resistance the kage came back to the task at hand.
Reizo had come up with something very clever it would seem.
"Tch, time to take this seriously I guess."
He mumbled the words to himself as is naturally red eyes swirled into a patterned state. As the mangekyo formed a light glow covered his body as the pressure from the boys grapple put the weight of the grasp on his right shoulder. The sharingan captured the boys movements and speed while is body memorized the appropriate speeds and strength used with what he could only assume was a technique as it far outweighed what the male was capable of normally.
The shielding buckled under the force of the grapple effectively dispersing the force and weight of the technique as Reizo remained airborne. His grip of the boys arm never left it only awkwardly placed his arm across his body. Using the last of his continued enhanced strength he'd wretch his hand back down towards the earth bringing Reizo with it. The boy would more than likely crash into the hard earth at a force rendering him either unconscious or severely rattled.
During that maneuver once he had flung the boy down his arm would let go of Reizo as he continued on to Kobayashi.
"Is this how it's done?"
He whispered his words in a dark sinister tone as he moved forward into the boy. With a quick movement his right arm was atop the boys shoulder which was surprisingly easy due to where the boys body was now positioned aiming for an area that would have been problematic. His body re imagined the technique and replicated it just as it had been seen. His entire weight was added to the boys shoulder pushing downwards as the kage was now airborne clutching the muscle and rotating over the body. During the course of his momentum gain and position switch once he landed the strength and torque carried through on his grip as he'd fling the boys body as well violently towards the corner, separating both of the combatants and more than likely rendering them incapable of continuing. A violent cough erupted from his mouth this time followed with blood as well, he'd over worked his body without the proper warming up it needed. His legs buckled slightly as he almost lost his footing and collapsed to the floor.
If everything went as planned the exercise would be over and there would be little left for him to do here. Straightening back up the plague lord would exit the room without looking back at the two entrants other than himself.

As Reizo moved to do whatever grappling technique he was doing Senshi was surprised by the Lord Raikage’s next move. He had quickly and efficiently subdued the other Genin and got him off his back. Far too fast for Senshi to be able to even come near completing his strike. The Genin soon found himself being grabbed and though he could see what was happening he didn’t have the reaction time to more then bring his arm above his head to at least prevent some damage to himself. A sickening crack echoed through the room as he forearm and wrist made contact with the ground at what was apparently bone break speed. The sound was immediately followed with an explosive grunt as the Genin flipped himself around rolling over his shoulder and coming back to his feet.
His leg buckled under the sudden weight and he found himself resting on one knee as the Raikage stared at them. With the broken arm Senshi knew he was now effectively useless in this fight since forming hand seals would be much harder and his already severely bruised leg would prevent him from moving as fast. He grit his teeth as determination flared in his eyes, he wouldn’t give up yet. Even if he just aced as a distraction for Reizo he could still do something. As he was preparing to hobble his way towards the Raikage to continue the fight the man suddenly spoke, and then simply turned and left without so much as a glance in their direction. Senshi felt his good leg also buckle in relief and found himself sitting down staring in abject surprise at the now open door.
They had passed, even if Senshi thought it was just barely. They had still done it. He didn’t have long until his proctor walked into the room giving both him and Reizo an odd look before walking over to Senshi. The man gave an odd shake of his head as he spoke, “Well looks like Raikage-sama did a number on you two. Here medical is my second specialty I’ll save you a trip to the hospital.” The man’s hands lit with green chakra as he first focused on Senshi’s broken forearm, another loud snap and crack echoing through the room as he fixed it. Senshi’s breaths came faster from the pain and his eyes seemed to fade for a second before he managed to regain control of himself. By the time he had managed that his leg was also being healed.
It was several minutes later that the Chuunin finally wiped the sweat off his forehead and stood up grabbing Senshi under the shoulder and pulling him up as well. “Well lets head to another room we need to debrief your fight before I can let you go.” Senshi gave a nod as he started to follow the Chuunin only a slight limp on his walk as he did so. He paused at the door looking back at Reizo and giving a firm nod to the other boy. He deeply appreciated the other Genin’s efforts in their spar and knew that if he’d been alone he possibly would not have passed. As he walked out the door he spoke, softly and completely unsure if Reizo even heard him. “Thank you Reizo-sempai.” He then hurried with his awkward, new, limping gait after the Chuunin hoping the man hadn’t noticed his pausing.

Re: Chuunin Exam Trial Part 3

As the boy had tried to grapple with fate, fate struck back. Reizo, who had put all his strength into keeping the Raikage down, certain that no human could escape his jutsu, soon found that the Raikage was no ordinary human. The man glowed with an intense aura, and Reizo had fear struck into him instantly. He couldn't move- he was paralyzed by the venom that was the Raikage's chakra, and his glowing red eye. Strange, Reizo hadn't noticed it before, and he was usually pretty astute about fine details. The Raikage's glowing red eye with its strange black pattern petrified the Genin, and he realized his grip had already started to slip. It wouldn't even matter, however, as the Raikage managed to overpower his jutsu with his chakra enhanced strength. Had Reizo been capable of thinking clearly, he would've been astounded at the man's verility. Unfortunately, in the state of shock he was in, Reizo couldn't even comprehend what was happening.
The man's grip had, in fact, tightened around his wrist the more pressure Reizo had applied to his shoulder. The world came crashing down suddenly around Reizo. In a sudden jerk, Reizo felt like his arm had been torn off- a hot and searing pain rushed through his upper arm and shoulder. He tried to pull his other arm in front to shield his face from the impact, but he could barely focus his chakra effectively to maximize the damage reduction. The ground cracked and even splintered underneath him a little despite being firmly grounded, and the floors and walls being designed to be damage resistant. The fiery pain still shot through Reizo's arm as he crashed into the ground. He wanted to scream or yelp, but no sound would come out. He laid on the ground, writhing in agony, but completely silent, while Senshi got hit by a move of Youka's own. Reizo was able to catch a few glimpses of it, and he recognized it to be his jutsu. Just what kind of power was the Raikage hiding from us this whole time? What's with his eyes? Reizo couldn't make sense of any of it. It wasn't too surprising that the Raikage had known Reizo's jutsu, but it was strange that he seemed to choose to use it shortly after Reizo had attempted to.
A gross snap and crack rang out as Senshi got thrown across the room, and Reizo came to his senses. He didn't think his arm was broken, but something had definitely given way. From his previous readings of the human body, Reizo surmised that his pain was either from a torn rotator cuff or at the very least a dislocated shoulder. Although he really didn't want to, he knew the best way to go about this was resetting his shoulder into its socket. Reizo pushed his weight onto his right arm to sit up straight. He had tears in his eyes before from the initial injury, but now it was just a persistent acute pain, so he had regained his composure. Reizo rolled up the front neck of his shirt and bit down on it to help tolerate the pain of resetting the joint. Now sitting up fully, he would let his left arm hang down by his side. He would flex his chest outward and then roll his left shoulder into place. There was a sharp pain and a popping sound as it snapped back into its socket. It hurt more than any other physical pain Reizo had ever experienced, but soon relief washed over him and it was done. He would have to let it heal for the time being, but at least it wasn't a hindrance any longer. His face would probably be bruised a bit in the morning as well, but there wasn't anything he could do about that.
Reizo would stand up once more, easing his left arm into a battle ready position, although it was still throbbing in pain, and admittedly any further damage to the area could seriously incapacitate him. His face hurt too, but aside from a tiny cut, there wasn't any visible damage yet. It would certainly swell in the days to come, however. Now that he thought about fighting again, Reizo realized he couldn't even see straight. Perhaps his bell had been rung too? He was seeing double images of the Raikage, and was wobbling in his stance a little bit. His ears were deaf from all the ringing, but he couldn't locate the source of the sound. Was it just in his head? Reizo winced and closed one eye in pain. He clutched his head, and stumbled back to the ground, collapsing to his knees. Nothing was making sense- his mind couldn't process any of the information he was being fed. It was just a blur of colors- the whole rainbow dazzled him in a spectacle of stars. Reizo could barely make out the Raikage struggling with some problems of his own- whether this was the result of Senshi's attack or an illness, Reizo couldn't tell. When he saw the Raikage nearly collapse, Reizo wanted to jump at the opportunity, but his body wouldn't move. Instead he would just lurch forward, and fall flat on his stomach. He could barely keep his eyes open and was on the verge of blacking out, but he had to keep fighting. He needed to make chuunin, and he was determined that nothing would stop him at this point.
Then, the Raikage would straighten himself out, and despite the ringing in his ears, Reizo could make out his final words before leaving. This was passing? Reizo was shocked that the two Genin had passed. They hadn't even hit him, unless that coughing fit was the result of an attack, which Reizo doubted it was. Reizo was ashamed of his own standards. Something so unacceptable shouldn't possibly count as passing, but he didn't dare question the judgement of the Raikage. As badly as Reizo contested the result in his head, he couldn't help but grin ear to ear at the words. His senses were finally starting to return, as a proctor walked in to assist Senshi. Senshi exited, and Reizo could just barely make out the thanks, and Reizo smiled and nodded in return.
Reizo's proctor followed in shortly thereafter, but unlike Senshi's proctor, she did not possess any medical ninjutsu capabilities. Instead, she silently lifted Reizo up around her shoulder, using his right arm to support him, and helped carry him out of the room into the adjacent room where he had originally started. She laid him out on the ground, the scroll with his equipment rolled up tightly against the wall, and two medical shinobi walked in to help heal the Genin. They used an unfamiliar jutsu, which Reizo inferred to be the Mystical Palm Technique, and after a few minutes and some basic cognitive tests that they performed, Reizo was deemed healthy enough to be released. The medical ninja took their leave and Reizo's proctor congratulated him on his success. As she debriefed him on the events that would transpire next, Reizo had almost wholly ignored her. He was too busy reconciling his thoughts and emotions from the fight. Just what was that eye? I've never seen anything like it in Kumogakure before. Maybe Itami-sensei would know. And that immense chakra... it felt so unnatural. Something about the Raikage just didn't feel human at all. Like there was another being to him. Even though I can't normally sense another's chakra, even I could feel that. Maybe I'll discuss it with Senshi the next time we meet up for a mission or training, the boy thought to himself. He trusted his hunches and intuition more than most ninja. He was usually right when it came to things like this, but he wasn't at a level where he could comprehend it all.
