Re: Betrayal (Hikari)

The girl agreed quickly, which was one less thing for the princess to worry about. However a genuine spark of gratitude flashed in the royal heir's green eyes when Hikari offered to do even more. Making the decision to take the kunoichi up on her offer, the princess spoke.
"If you are agreeable to it, I would like you to remain here for the night in case Lady Tsuji needs further medical attention. Our own medical ninja will be here in a few hours to relieve you but until then, the hand maidens will make you a comfortable bed in this room and the maester will stay here should you need anything."
Though the princess had full faith in shinobi healing, she had taken enough chances to last her an entire lifetime. "There will be guards outside the doors to keep you three safe." And to make sure nothing unpleasant happens, the silent undertone was clear.
"If you need to send word to anyone, one of our guards can carry a scroll denoting you were busy on Hoshi mission," the blonde offered in compensation.

Hikari would nod, once again, she felt like her own medical ninjutsu was being woefully over estimated, but at the same time, Hikari felt like if whoever the attacker was was still nearby, or tried to come back, she would be close enough that she could do something about it. Namikaze would nod and say, "Agreed, it would be my honor to help the royal family, and fear not, tonight was my night off and I have no where to be and no one to alert of me spending the night here, so you can keep the guard on watch." Hikari would go over the the princess in order to keep an eye on her. She didn't know what she could do, but Hikari was going to do everything she could in order to keep Lady Tsuji alive until the medics could come.

"Very well then," Tehniyat concluded the meeting, the slight twist of her frame indicating that their conversation was over. As if on queue, three maids discreetly walked into the room and started laying down sheets and pillows for a makeshift bed. Hikari would be well guarded and well taken care of.
"I shall look in on the morrow along with Her Grace Kanzaki," the blonde nodded before turning to her heels, Atem following behind as silent and close as a shadow. Tehniyat had a long night ahead of her to contemplate what had transpired and little enough chose on how to fix it. Lord Denkiteki would need to be told. The village ninja would need to be informed.
But first, Prince Arata's rooms and belongings would need to be searched to understand why he had done what he had done. She hoped Prince Arashi and Ser Kyousuke were at least close to locating Akihana. She was now needed back home more than ever before.
(Exit Tehniyat)

Hikari would say "Very well, I will keep her healthy until the morning." Hikari would then let Tehniyat leave.
She would look down at the injured Lady Tsuji. She wondered who had done this to her? Hikari was half tempted to try to enter the woman's mind with her mind reading jutsu, and find out who had done this. What stoped her was the fact that she wasn't asked to find out who was doing this, so either the nobles knew and weren't telling Hikari, or they knew someone was going to find out soon. Also if it was found out that Hikari read the mind of a noble, it would probably mean her own execution. So, instead, Hikari would continue to look after the woman, as long as was needed, until medic's arrived in the morning.
[Exit Hikari]
