Jace v Ita[p]

Jace had made his impressive stand against all those kunai and exploding tags, leaving a bitter taste in his friend's mouth. They were basically at a standstill now, neither Jace nor Ita having any ranged offensive attacks that he knew of. In the spirit of trying to make things a bit more lively, Jace decided it couldn't hurt to get in close to his opponent. It was especially fine for him to do this considering he still had Molecular Shift active so it wasn't like anything the dark haired boy did could hurt him anyway. 

"Shiora take me closer. I want to see what he does when I'm more within his range. Don't worry, I still have us protected with my jutsu." he said just loud enough for his partner to hear him.

"Of course. I trust you." responded the crow as she folded her wings close to her body and dived toward Ita, opening them again to level out when she was just 10 meters above the boy and once more began circling him counterclockwise. She banked so hard as she turned that her wings became perpendicular with the ground below, causing Jace to infuse chakra into his feet in order to stand in place on her back. 

"Come on, Ita. That can't be all you've got. I thought you were strong?" the blond boy taunted. Periodic arcs of lightning streaked across Jace and Shiora's bodies, signifying the continued effect of his technique.

Ita had to admit, he was a bit impressed by Jace’s technique. Ita made sure that he remembered the excact hand seals that the boy had used before he ignited the fireworks display. Ita was beginning to lose interest in the fight because of the stand still the two had found themselves in. Jace’s technique was indeed impressive, but how did he plan on continuing the fight if neither of them were able to actually harm each other.

 

Thanks to Ita’s dojutsu, the boy was able to see the basic flow of Jace’s chakra along with periodic arcs of lightning which streaked across Jace’s and his summoning, Shiora’s bodies. Ita figured that the arcs signified that the technique was still active meaning any attempts to attack his opponent currently wouldn’t be fruitful in the least bit.

 

Ita then watched carefully as the boy and his bird made their decent towards him. The large crow’s wings folding close to her body allowing her to dive towards Ita, finally leveling out once the pair got within a 10 meter range of the boy. The crow then banked hard causing the boy and her to become perpendicular to the ground bellow them which was pretty cool to see Ita guessed.

 

Now that his opponent had returned to the battle, well almost, Ita just needed to wait for the right opportunity to present itself. Ita was waiting for the tides of the battle to turn in his favor so that Ita could introduce some new techniques of his own to his friend Jace who had just put on a brilliant display of new techniques. Without them, Ita was sure he would have been a goner.

 

Now that Jace was close enough to be heard he had decided to mock Ita. Although annoying, Ita decided not to play into his games. Once Jace allowed for that technique of his to be dissolved Ita would go on the offensive. 

 

Ita let out a snicker as he replied to Jace’s obserd comment. “Since when did you become so cocky?” Ita said as he continued to observe the pair flying above. “How about you stop playing games and come down here and I’ll show you who is truly strong.”

 

Without any further conversation, Ita continued to carefully study his opponent making note of the periodic arcs of lightning that creased over Jace’s and his companion’s bodies. Once the moment presented itself, Ita would act accordingly.

To Jace's discontent, it seemed Ita didn't fall for the small taunt. When asked when Jace had become so cocky, the blonde simply smiled. He thought about it for a moment, remembering how shy and socially awkward he had been back when he was fresh out of the academy. It was true he had come extremely far since then. Now the young Uchiha was very confident in his abilities; to point that he had actually entered himself into the Jounin Exams and wasn't afraid to take on anyone that challenged him. He had gained a student and a lover, as well as becoming much more knowledgeable about battle strategy and mission tactics. 

Shiora and Jace continued to circle the dark haired boy from above; he had all the patience in the world to deal with this minor stalemate. It had only been about one minute since Ita's flashy attack had phased right through the pair due to Jace's technique. Still, he knew that he couldn't keep it up for much longer. He needed to come up with a good strategy to end this. 'I guess I can do that. He doesn't know the extent of my abilities yet so I should be able to catch him off guard. Ok.'

"Get me a little higher, just outside of his range, and continue circling. I have a plan.' he said just loud enough for Shiora to hear him. The giant crow began ascending again as she continued to circle. When she reached 20 meters directly above Ita she leveled off, continuing to circle but no longer gaining altitude. 

"Is this high enough?'

"Yes, it's perfect. Thank you Lady Shiora.' he said as the arcs of lightning around himself and Shiora faded. Quickly he performed three hand seals in succession: Rat-Boar-Tiger. Immediately after the Tiger seal was finished, there was a cloud of smoke below Shiora and a flock of twenty five crows appeared and descended upon Ita. They weren't actual summons from a contract, not like Ro or Lady Shiora. But they were certainly real crows that listened to Jace's commands. 

The crows would be of use in multiple ways to Jace. The first of which would be to obscure Ita's vision. Jace knew all too well that the boy could use the teleportation technique, switch, just like himself. After all, Jace learned it from Ita. He didn't know what other kinds of visual jutsu the boy might have learned, but it was better to play it safe, especially since Ita also possessed the sharingan. The second use for the crows would be creating a conduit for Jace to land his genjutsu. He had specialized in the art of using Genjutsu for as long as he could remember. There were multiple ways he could use to cast them now, each being extremely subtle which was the key to being good at it. The best genjutsu is the one your opponent doesn't realize is a genjutsu.

With the small flock of 25 crows now just 10 meters above Ita, and Jace being exactly 10 meters above that, Jace would cast his genjutsu. It was one that the sharingan would not be able to see nor dispel, since it only had those abilities against genjutsu that affected the eyes. If Ita looked at any of the crows he would find that his body could no longer move. It would feel as if it was being held in place by exceedingly strong bindings. Ita had used a similar technique to bind Jace in place once, though that one was not a genjutsu. If Jace was right, Ita should think that that very same technique was being used to bind him instead of being bound by genjutsu, which would give Jace enough time to do what he needed to.

As soon as Jace knew that his genjutsu had landed, he would perform two more seals in quick succession: Horse-Tiger. The flock of crows would expand to leave a circle in the middle of them just 3 meters in diameter. After the two seals were made Jace would launch a large 2 meter diameter fireball through the opening made by his crows to descend the 20 meters down to an immobilized Ita at 40 speed. Surely there was no way he would be able to dodge this one.

Chidori SenbonIta watched carefully as the boy began to make his ascent into the sky once more. ‘It’s time. If he’s going to make his move it is going to happen here or not at all.’ Ita thought to himself understanding how crucial every following moment was going to be from here on out if he was going to land this correctly. Assuming that the battle was going to continue, Ita took his first precaution, releasing a rather large amount of chakra expanding outwards from his body at the speed of 85. Only due to Jace’s dojutsu would he be able to make out any difference. It would appear to be rather blurry, but because Ita had never showed this technique to his friend, Jace would be most likely unsure of what was going on and have a hard time deciphering what type of technique it actually was.

Ita’s keen eyes watched as Jace’s actions would begin to unfold before him. Ita watched as the boy quickly performed three hand seals and caused 25 crows to appear in a cloud of smoke just overhead. Just as the crows would appear 10 meters above Ita, Ita’s space time technique (power 85) would cause the crows to fall just as soon as they spawned. Helplessly, the birds fell from the sky due to the fact that their speed was reduced to 0 by Ita’s speed debuffing technique, restricting their movements completely. Ita would bring his right hand across his body in a flicking motion at the speed of 195, releasing 50 chidori senbon towards the flock, the senbon moving at a speed of 85. With the help of his sharingan, Ita was able to make slight work of the flock. Ita paid no attention to the morality of his action. Ita was no stranger to the feeling of death. 20 of the 50 senbon were now moving past what was left of the dead birds and towards Jace and his bird. The senbon weren’t powerful enough to seriously harm either of them, but if struck would cause their speed to be decreased by a further 10. Jace’s summon would remain unaffected due to how strong it was, but Jace’s movements would be decreased by 85 speed as long as he was in range of Ita’s technique.

 

Ita now performed a hand seal and a single shadow clone appeared next to him. The clone would perform 2 hand  seals and produce a fireball 2 meters in diameter which would now be heading towards Jace at the speed of 40. Ita would do this regardless if Jace decided to evade the 20 senbon heading his way or still produced the fireball, it was just another thing for him to deal with. Just after producing the fireball, Ita’s clone would use the transformation jutsu and transform into a shuriken, landing conveniently in Ita’s right hand. At the speed of 160 Ita would release the shuriken towards Jace and his bird. The shuriken would travel at the speed of 130. Once the shuriken came within 5 meters of Jace, it would transform back into its original version, bringing his right hand up to the right of him, while doing so a beam of lightning chakra would extend from Ita’s clone’s hand at the speed of 90 in an attempt to strike the bird, not to harm it, but with enough power to let the lightning chakra immobilize it long enough to bring it out of the sky and Jace back to the ground. Ita would wait on solid ground carefully observing his opponent wondering how he would react and preparing to make his next move.

Jace's eyes picked up Ita gathering a massive amount of chakra before some sort of sphere expanded from the boy at a frighteningly fast pace. Still, from what Jace could tell, it wasn't causing him any harm so he continued on with his previous plans. As soon as the crows had been summoned they immediately began to drop from the sky, seemingly frozen in time. 'So that's what this sphere is for. My movements do feel a little sluggish. It's too bad I'm quick on the draw.'  he thought to himself. Since Ita had made no other movements as the crows dropped like flies from the 18 meter height they had been summoned at, when they reached the 10 meter mark on their descent the blonde's genjutsu was still triggered. 

With Ita's new found speed he would have gotten halfway through the flicking motion, unable to continue and actually release the chidori senbon, before his body became immobilized. That was good for Jace. His movements may have been slowed dramatically, but Ita could no longer move at all anymore. Jace quickly allowed the thousand crows technique to end, effectively desummoning the crows before he continued on with his previous actions of shooting that fireball directly down on top of Ita. The kid was good, but apparently not as good as Jace

Just as Ita had made his attempt to expose of the crows that Jace had summoned, Ita would be caught in a genjutsu. “What’s this?” Ita thought to himself, as he struggled to move his body. With the motionless crows still falling around him, they would be dispelled and Ita would be stuck standing motionless. Whatever technique that Jace was using reminded him of the technique that Ita had once used of him. Clearly someone was holding a grudge and wanted payback, however Ita knew that this was not the same technique because both the crows and Jace and his summon were outside of the 5 meter range of that technique.

 

Ita then began exploring his other options before easily coming to his conclusion. Jace was using a genjutsu which he had probably triggered while Ita was too busy worrying about the crows that he had summoned, why else would he have summoned them? Luckily for Ita, he was of the Uchiha clan and his clan’s famous dojutsu would make light work of Jace’s genjutsu. Because the genjutsu Jace was using on Ita was ocular based, Ita would be able to dispel the genjutsu now that he was aware he was indeed in a genjutsu. Ita would flow chakra to his eyes and immediately the genjutsu would be dispelled.

 

Just as Ita regained his movement, he would see in plan sight a 2-meter-wide ball of fire heading in his direction. Jace’s jutsu would be directly affected by Ita’s speed control technique. Ita would allow the technique to travel at only 10 speed as Ita reciprocated Jace’s actions and produced a 2 meter wide fireball as well. Just as Ita had finished the two hand seals he produced a fire ball at 40 speed which was on a direct path towards the one that Jace had produced. Just after launching his own fireball, Ita would reach into his back ninja pouch and retrieve a kunai with an explosion tag attached to it. Ita would release the kunai in one swift and fluent motion on a direct path towards Jace. It would be hard for Jace to see Ita releasing the kunai because of the fireballs in the way. Because Jace’s technique was being affected by ITa’s speed control technique, Ita’s fireball would collide with Jace’s while only 5 Meters from Jace and 10 meters from Ita, causing a large explosion of fire which would temporarily mask Ita’s movements. Just as the large explosion would occur, the kunai that Ita had slyly hid behind the fireballs and the explosion would wiz past the outer edge of the flames at the speed of 110 and explode once coming into 1 meter of Jace in a final attempt.

 

Ita sighed as he straightened his back feeling tired from all of the chakra that he had used up. If Jace had found away Ita’s attack, Ita would call it a day unless Jace continued to pursue him. Once catching clear glimpse of Jace afterwards, assuming he made it past the fire and explosion tag, Ita would wave to the boy signaling that he was done fighting for today and was hoping that he was too.

 

Ita would wait patiently for the boy on the arid Suna landscape for his friend to come out of the sky so they could converse. If Jace landed, Ita would speak to him in a seemingly upbeat tone making note of Jace’s summon who would most likely let the boy land before being sent back to their land.

 

“What a large crow, what’s their name?” Ita would ask Jace in reference to his summon. If the summon was present when Ita asked, he would simply direct the question towards the crow in a politer manner so that he wouldn’t offend them. If the bird told Ita their name Ita would respond “It’s nice to meet you. You’re very strong I wasn’t able to slow you down with my technique.” If the bird responded differently, well then Ita would respond accordingly in a later post. Ita would then shift his attention to Jace. “You’ve gotten a lot stronger since the last time we exchanged fists. Also, a lot more outgoing.” Ita said, his attempt at being somewhat upbeat losing momentum quickly. Ita had felt that he had lost this one and it was beginning to resonate poorly with him, however he didn’t want Jace to perceive that in anyway. “Looks like I have a lot of training to do if I want to catch up to you.” Ita said, as he pushed his pride to the side even though it killed him to say it.

Jace's fireball was met head on by the same technique used by Ita. Because of the jutsu that Ita had used, the fireballs were only 5 meters away from jace when they erupted into an overly large burst of fire. It masked Ita's movements, making Jace unable to see the boy launch the kunai. When it did finally come into view, Jace had just enough time to glance down at the shuriken that had been knocked into the sand earlier when they clashed. Releasing the summoning so that Shiora wouldn't get harmed either, Jace was suddenly standing on the ground a few feet away from Ita, completely out of harms way of the explosion above. 

Seeing that Jace was now on the ground and unharmed, Ita told the blonde that he had had enough for the day and Jace agreed. "Yea, I think I overdid it a bit and used too much chakra." he answered, smiling; the boy's crimson eyes faded back to their normal hazel-green color. "Well, I've had a lot of opportunity to practice since the last time we fought. I've also become more confident in myself because of all the interactions I've had with the other village ninja since then." It was true. He remembered back when he had first met Ita, how shy he was all the time. He hadn't realized just how much he had grown since then. 

Ita's next words caught Jace by surprise. 'Did he just admit that I was better than him?' the blonde mused to himself. "Thank you. Don't worry, just keep up with your training and I'm sure you can surpass me again. I'd say we were fairly evenly matched during that little fight. Anyway I think I'm going to head back. I want to get some rest before I have to fight. See ya later!" he answered, waving his hand at his friend before turning and walking back towards the hotel he was staying at.
