Time To Train... Alliterations are amazing
Thu Feb 23, 2017 3:43 am
Nano had been wondering over the years why so many people avoided him. Back when he was living in the orphanage people aways ignored him or even bullied him. Was it the fact that he was striving to become a ninja? No, he had been bullied before that. It had to be something else. The only other logical option that came to Nano’s head was that there was a chance that he could be a part of some long lost clan. While it was a long shot, Nano really wanted that to be the case. How cool would it be to be part of some epic clan. Most clans have their own special abilities called bloodlines or advanced elements.
If he was a part of a clan, he needed to find out what came with it as soon as possible. Thus, he decided to head to the village library. On the way, Nano spotted a small green leaf billowing in the wind and decided to show off a bit even if it was only to himself. He had recently become a user of the fire element and he was still excited to test it out constantly. Channeling his Chakra into the leaf, he couldn't help but accidentally channel some of his wind Chakra as well seeing as he was only recently introduced to the fire element.
To his surprise, instead of some disaster occurring when he used the two elements, something strange happened. It looked as if the two elements had combined to create a stronger force. The only evidence that there had ever been a leaf there was a small pile of ash which was blow away by the wind. Curious as to what had just happened, Nano repeated what he had just done, this time making the amount of fire and wind element even and the outcome was practically the same. The only difference this time was that instead of leaving ash, the leaf was completely erased from existence.
Realising he was getting sidetracked, Nano continued on his way to the library. This discovery would have to wait until he had researched his background some more. When he arrived at the library he began to pull out every book from left to right in the clan history section. After a few minutes of searching, he walked over to the librarian and asked for assistance. Reluctantly the librarian pointed out the section for clans starting with G. Nano had expected the person working here to dislike shinobi but that didn't mean he didn't hate it with every fibre in his body. Why couldn't civilians just see that ninja were just trying to help? They spend their lives protecting people who do not appreciate it. While it was getting better, Nano still felt as if he would never get along with a single villager.
Nano eventually found a book on the Gōka clan which was pretty lucky considering he wasn't even sure if he was in a clan. He then read through the book. “The Gōka clan is a long established clan, aging back to before the great eruption. While it may be old, there are few recorded members. The most famous of the members is known as Pakura of the Sand. She is the oldest recorded member of the clan ever and showed great proficiency in the clan’s advanced element known as the Shakuton or Scorch Release. The element is a mixture of the wind and fire element and creates heat which is hot enough to evaporate all of the moisture of a human’s body, leaving it in a black, ash-like state, barely recognisable”
After reading this, Nano realised what had happened recently outside of the library. Hopping up, he sprinted out the door, eager to practice his newfound ability. Nano headed to the nearest training field and sat down. He grabbed a leaf like he head done before and channeled his Chakra, making sure to focus both of his Chakra elements into one and moved the wind Chakra in a way that it would compliment the fire. The result was the same as before. A small pile of ash. Deciding that he needed to kick it up a notch, Nano grabbed one of the ever present logs and continued to push his elements in the same way as before
Once he had attacked the log with his new advanced element he heard a satisfying sizzle. The log had turned entirely black and when Nano blew on it, about an inch of ash flew off the husk of what was once a piece of a tree. With the knowledge that he could use this Scorch release to such a degree in such little time made Nano feel a sense of pride well up in his chest. While he was not going to go off and show off his new ability to the whole world, that didn't mean he wouldn't use it whenever he got the chance in battle. This was an amazing thing to be able to use and he knew it.
Without thinking, he channeled this new energy into his palm and something new happened. A large ball about the size of two of his palms appeared on top of his hands. Nano could feel that the sphere was producing a massive amount of heat but somehow it wasn't hurting him. He shrugged and started playing around with the ball. It wasn't that much of a surprise that he wasn't affected by his own technique.
After quite a long time of testing the 'Scorch sphere' as he was now calling it, Nano finally grew tired and sat under the shade of a conveniently placed tree to recuperate from the learning and training of his amazing new advanced element that he had discovered. The sun was directly overhead and Nano knew that he had much more learn. He would stay here until he collapses from exhaustion. He needed to grow stronger to achieve his dream and training and practice was the only way to go about doing it.

Nano then stood from his position of rest under the shade of the tree and thought back to things he had seen and wanted to try. He was already at a training field so he may as well continue training. He had read over many books about elemental jutsu and he had realised that he had completely skipped all of the simple jutsu. This was not what Nano wanted, he needed to know the basics before he could understand the advanced ones like building blocks. You can't build it up high without a good base.
The lower level jutsu techniques that stood out to Nano when he was looking were the Wind Arrow and the Fire Stream. These were both overly simple and he was absolutely sure he would be able to get them down in a heartbeat but they were necessary to learn. If he could do that he would then learn a slightly more advanced one called the Wind Recurve Bow which works extremely well with the wind arrow.
With his plan for the next bit of training sorted, Nano began to go through what he had learned about them already in his head. He would learn the wind arrow first so he filtered through his memories until he eventually remembered what had been written in a book he had read at the library. From what he had read, the main points he made sure to keep stored in his brain were to visualise your Chakra as a long shaft and mould the Chakra to make it smooth and to channel the wind element against itself to create a sharp point.
Knowing what he had to do, Nano then went ahead and began to slowly bring his wind element out into the air and then managed to condense the air into a long white stick. With this part completed he then continued to move the Wind against itself until it began to slowly chip off the sides to sharpen the stick to a point capable of piercing skin. Nano then attempted to grab the arrow but the result was not what he had intended. His hand slipped right through! Skimming past several possibilities, Nano decided that the problem was that he had not condensed enough wind Chakra into the area.
The more wind he added to it, the harder and more difficult it would be to snap. With a new idea on how to complete the arrow, Nano went at learning the simple thing with renewed vigour. He coaxed out his energy and slowly positioned it in the correct shape before squeezing his fist into a ball to pressurise the air and make the arrow solid. The resulting jutsu ended up just as Nano had imagined it so as some sort of celebration, Nano grabbed the condensed wind arrow and threw it with all of his might as if it were a javelin. He then turned around and walked off, barely registering the satisfying thud of the jutsu hitting the ground.

With a boost of confidence due to him learning another jutsu at a pace much faster than usual, Nano set off to learn another low ranking jutsu. The fire stream jutsu. He read in a book he found in the library that it was one of the techniques a famous clan called the Uchiha used as a stepping stone to learn a more difficult technique called the Great Fireball. The great fireball sounded like an essential thing to know for any Fire user and that was what urged Nano to attempt to learn this E rank jutsu. That and he was really lacking in the fire department and needed to learn a fire jutsu quick smart.
From what he could remember, the book had said something about how you were to knead Chakra in the chest before using a half tiger hand seal to focus the Chakra. The flames would then burst forward from the mouth in a small cone shape. This was an easy to use jutsu which despite being not very combat ready was perfect for creating small fires for survival purposes. With that thought, Nano began to knead the fiery Chakra in his chest.
He could feel it building up and before long he was just about at breaking point. Just as he was about to open his mouth to release the burning fire which was hurting his mouth, the pain subsided and he could only feel a slight tingling sensation in his mouth. From what he could understand, Nano guessed that this meant that his mouth was immune to the fire. Although, he wouldn't bet on anywhere else on his body being fireproof. Eventually, Nano performed the half tiger seal and opened his mouth up, watching as orange flames burst from within his lips.
Not being used to the sensation, the use of the jutsu caused Nano to start a coughing fit before finally he stopped and looked at the destruction the fire had caused. Luckily, it was only minimal. The only notable damage was a small patch of shrubbery which was now reduced to a black bundle of sticks. The technique had worked, but Nano was not satisfied with the level of control he had over the fire. He wanted to be able to direct it in whichever direction he wants and not just burst out when he isn't ready.
Determined to refine his skill at using the e-ranked fire jutsu, Nano began to once again knead his Chakra with his will and felt the now familiar sensation from before. This time however, he made sure to face a medium sized log before releasing the flames to create a small camp fire. He wasn't really going to use the campfire but he needed to know exactly how to do it for when he decided to utilise the ability at his own campsite. Seeing as he was now finished learning the fire jutsu, Nano sat back down under the same tree as before and thought about the next thing he would learn. The Wind Recurve Bow

After savouring the feeling of the cool shade underneath the tree for a couple of moments, Nano decided it was about time to continue training. He couldn't stop now, not when he was on such a roll of success. He had learnt a brand new advanced element and two new jutsu already and he wasn't nearly done. He was one of the weakest shinobi in the village at the moment and he was deadset on fixing that step by step and the only way he could do that is by training his butt off day in and day out.
Seeing as one of the techniques he had already gotten down today was the wind arrow, Nano figured it was a good idea to also learn the Wind Recurve Bow. While the arrow worked as an effective javelin, it was created to be used in a bow and the Wind Recurve bow was the perfect thing to compliment it. Similar to all the other techniques he had learned today, Nano had read through a book which spoke of the jutsu. Also similar to the other techniques he had learned today, Nano had forgotten to bring the book about them with him to the training grounds.
Racking through his brain for what he had read, he suddenly felt the thoughts appear in front of him, looking obvious now. It was the same as making the shaft of the arrow. Mould the Chakra slowly to create a smooth surface and for the string, just do the same but make it looser and thinner. Then all he had to do was perform the two hand seals. Boar, ram.
Just as he was about to complete the jutsu, Nano heard a loud rustle coming from a bush to his left so he slowly crouched down and grabbed a kunai which he held in a reverse grip. Stalking what he believed to be somebody watching him, Nano got as close as he could without jeopardising the chance for him to trap the onlooker without too much of a struggle, all the while making sure to act as ignorant as possible. Once he was about two metres away from the bushes, he was satisfied that he would be able to easily ambush his prey. He counted to five in his head before leaping into action.
He dived into the bush before doing an army roll and looking around through the bush. Luckily it was a fairly thin-branched bush and he could easily roll through without getting caught by any stray bit of wood. When he stood back up, leaves up to his waist, he realised something. He was standing on a large man with a long beard. He had no idea how he had rolled on top of him and not noticed but he put that thought aside for the time being. This was serious business. If this was some sort of ninja then they could have been searching for his weaknesses or something of the sort.
With a bit of relief Nano noticed that the mean he was standing on was slightly overweight and from what he knew, that meant they were either a low level shinobi or a civilian. Nano hurriedly hopped off of the person before firing off a set of questions. "What were you doing watching me? I could have killed you had I not checked first! Do you know how bad an idea it is to watch a ninja when they train? Even if I hadn't spotted you I potentially could have failed at a jutsu and blew this whole place to smithereens!" Not bothering to wait for the man to answer, Nano quickly escorted him for about two minutes away from the training grounds.
With that settled, Nano went back to learning the new jutsu. He focused his Chakra and released it through his pours and slowly brought his Wind Chakra together before doing the boar and ram handseals. While doing the handseals Nano pressurised the air into a solid shape and made sure to make the bowstring thinner than the rest of the bow. While being slightly more advanced than the other two techniques he had learnt today, this was still a fairly easy jutsu so hopefully he would be able to get it first try.
When he felt the Chakra condense, a weight landed in his hands. He looked at what it could be and found it to be a perfectly constructed white bow. While it had some weight to it, the bow was actually much more light than one would expect for an item of it's size. It was balanced exactly to his liking and Nano couldn't wait to test it out. To test it, Nano quickly made a makeshift target out of some leaves and a small log and then conjured a wind arrow.
He placed the arrow on the drawstring easily as there was a simple notch on the end of the arrow which was made exactly for the bow. It was obvious in Nano's mind that whoever first created these jutsu had using these together in mind. The bow and arrow had matching colours, matching design and matching just about everything else you could think of. Nano then pulled back the string to his ear and twisted the bow slightly to keep the arrow in place.
He then released the arrow and he heard a resounding thud coming from where he had placed the target. Looking over at the target he saw that he had hit the second middle ring. Deciding he needed to practice that a bit more, Nano picked up the arrow from the target before stepping back and firing it again. This time he had hit the bullseye which was quite the accomplishment considering it was his second time ever firing a bow. Maybe it was because of his skills at kunai throwing or something. Whatever it was that made him so good at it, he was most definitely not arguing.

Re: Time To Train... Alliterations are amazing
Tue Feb 28, 2017 5:10 am
After taking a couple more shots of his brand-new bow, Nano decided that it was finally time to move on. He wasn't sure what to do next but he was sure he would find something. He was an overly creative person most of the time but right now he was coming up blank. He had learned everything he could remember from the amazing book of majesticalness and he knew at his level there was no way he could make up his own personal jutsu without any inspiration from others. It was simply way too advanced for him for the time being.
After a couple more minutes of not coming up with anything, Nano gave up and decided to do something simple. Meditate. He had heard many things about meditation and reaching inner piece but had never really attempted it seriously. If he wanted to be a proper ninja, he would need to be able to keep calm in dangerous situations and be able to guide others to do the same. Apparently, meditation was one of the ways to achieve a completely calm mind.
Finally having an idea on what to do, Nano sat down in what he believed to be called the lotus position and closed his eyes. He had seen others sit down in a similar position and had overheard them call it that. Once he was in a perfectly comfortable position, Nano began to sift through his mind and try to whisk away his train of thought. However, he was having great trouble in doing so. Whenever he felt he was without thought, the thought of being without thought created a thought to be thought about. It was an extremely difficult thing for such a hyperactive person like Nano but he had nothing better to do so he kept still and continued to attempt to become one with his mind.
After five minutes, Nano had finally had enough and opened his eyes and stood back up. Seeing as meditation was a bust for him, Nano decided to just practice one of his new abilities. Seeing as he didn't really need to practice the three low ranked jutsu he had learned, he was going to practice his new advanced element. He then clapped his hands, not because he had to but for dramatics, and created one of his 'Scorch spheres' (Yes, I know these have recently been removed but I have already mentioned them in a previous post).
The sphere appeared in his hand, as hot as before, and Nano could feel the power radiating from it. He could feel the ball just itching to be released. After a couple of seconds of holding it, Nano pulled back his arm and threw the Scorch sphere. The ball flew far into the distance before a loud 'Boom!' resounded throughout the training grounds. It was an extremely powerful technique which he couldn’t believe was possible for him to do with such little training. To be completely honest, he wouldn’t be surprised if he forgot how to perform the Scorch Balls after this training session.
If that was the case, then he’d better start using it as much as possible if he wanted to savour the feeling of holding such a powerful thing. It refreshed his mind and caused him to feel more powerful, almost as if his chakra had been unlocked and he suddenly became more powerful just by unlocking and practicing his new element. It was difficult to wrap his head around so Nano decided to just stop thinking about it and to move on to something slightly more interesting. Even though he did enjoy the feeling of the Scorch Sphere, he still got bored of it due to the repetitiveness of it.
The next thing Nano decided to move on to was to rid a leaf of its moisture and turn it into ash. He had done it earlier without even trying but now he was going to do it slightly differently. He would try to channel his newfound chakra into the leaf from a far distance of ten meters. It would most likely be difficult at first but he wouldn’t stop until he had finished it.
The first ten minutes of attempting to flow his chakra out into the air came with no results at all. After thirty minutes of trying, he still hadn’t gotten any closer until eventually he made a great breakthrough (not the jutsu). If he released the chakra in his body from all of his tenketsu, the scorch chakra would not be strong enough to travel much distance, watered down if you will. However, if he sent out a compressed load of this chakra from a single tenketsu, the chakra would be able to easily travel in the air to his target.
Once he had made this breakthrough, life became a whole lot easier for Nano. His first try at this new method he was able to make the leaf wilt and when he touched it, he could feel that it was almost completely devoid of moisture. On the second time, the leaf turned completely grey but till retained its original form. Finally, on his third try, he channelled out as much scorch chakra as he could from within his body and released it out in one invisible ball. The ball remained invisible like any other chakra until it reached the leaf where it turned the leaf entirely into ash.
After doing this, he felt his tenketsu become larger and easier to use and he felt as if he could use his chakra to a further extent than before. He had no idea whatsoever as to how and why this was possible but he certainly would not argue about it. Extra chakra power was definitely always welcome and he would make sure to use it to its full extent. Noticing that he had started to break a sweat, Nano decided to sit down for a while under the same tree as every other time to rest before he continued to practice the new ability he had gained

Re: Time To Train... Alliterations are amazing

Feeling rejuvenated after about five minutes of rest under the shady tree, Nano decided to hop back up and continue what he had been doing earlier. While he was sitting, he had thought about the strange feeling he was getting from using this new element and the only possible reason he could think of was that maybe he had a sort of locked away chakra that was part of his clan or something that only unlocks when you learn how to harness the powers of the clan advanced element. While this may seem slightly far fetched to some people, Nano could not seem to find any other logical solution.
The only way to test out his solution was to continue to practice his newfound ability like he had done before. With that, Nano hopped up from his resting position and thrusted his hand into the air. He then pushed out his condensed scorch chakra as he had done before and attempted to burn something even larger. He thought about it for a short period of time before deciding to test it on a log. Logs seemed to be everywhere and the also had moisture in them which he could vaporise.
Once he had found a fairly small log, Nano channelled his chakra out of his tenketsu and felt as it floated towards the piece of wood. When the chakra came into contact with the wood it suddenly turned black and shrivelled up which Nano would have thought to be impossible. How does such a sturdy material break that easily? His clan must have been pretty powerful when there were more members. If every member of his clan felt this amazing power, there was no way any of them were weak.
However, at this point in time, Nano knew that he was probably one of the weakest shinobi in his village. He needed to change that if he wanted to be known as a protector of the weak. How could he protect the weak if he was the weak? It just doesn’t make sense. Nano slapped himself before mentally scolding himself on thinking about such pointless things. There was no use wasting his time thinking about how weak he was when he could be out training to become stronger.
Determined to grow stronger faster, Nano went back to training but this time at double the speed. He would continue to push out his chakra dozens of times, turning the leaves of a tree to ash one by one. After about thirty minutes of nonstop leaf-vaporising Nano went to grab another leaf but found that the tree was completely bare of anything green. Nano would have gone to another tree but he realised that he could barely stand due to the amount of times he had burnt the leaves.
Not wanting to go back to his regular resting place (Not a grave), Nano decided to use the remainder of his energy to walk around and observe the beauty of everything around him. He never really did appreciate the scenery having lived in the middle of it for such a long time but he planned to stop that for today. He was going to do what he would have normally found boring and stroll in the park.
He walked down a narrow cement walkway, making sure to take notice as to what was happening in the trees around him. He saw a mother bird feeding it’s baby which happened to be rather gross. He definitely didn’t want to see a bird barfing out its lunch into another bird again. Other than that little show, Nano found everything else he saw fascinating as well as amazing.
It was such a majestic sight yet he never seemed to bother looking at it. It was strange to think that every other day he walked through here he hadn’t seen the graceful birds chirping their songs or the squirrels scrambling around the trees. He had no idea how that was possible but he knew for sure that he would new allow it to happen again. There was no way he would want to miss this ever again. He would have to be insane to not want to see this.
While walking down the long path Nano crossed by a few civilians. Sadly, it was quite obvious that the people recognised him to be a ninja from his headband and made sure to steer clear of him. They were literally walking off the path just to be further away from him. While this was an unfortunate thing, Nano had gotten used to it and had learned not to bother getting angry or sad.
It was a regular thing for people like him to be hated just because of their profession. What could possibly be wrong with helping to defend this amazing village? In Nano’s opinion the people of Hoshigakure were just being ungrateful and whatever excuse they have; religion or whatever, was completely idiotic and didn’t take into account that every single human was born the same and that if they were given the same options, they would have turned out exactly the same.
Ridding his mind of such angering thoughts, Nano continued his stroll before heading back the way he came. The calming walk had given Nano plenty of time to regain his strength and he was now ready for another session of nonstop training. While he was ready to get back to training, Nano still made sure to make his way back to his area as slowly as possible to appreciate the nature of the park.
When he arrived back in the field, Nano set off to train once again. However, this time he would make sure to not overtire himself as he wanted to keep going at it for as long as he possibly could. He had figured that he had done enough training of his new element so he was now going to search for another wind jutsu for him to learn, hopefully a high-ranking one.

Re: Time To Train... Alliterations are amazing

Arriving in his training zone after his peaceful stroll through the park, Nano decided to learn a new wind jutsu. He had been focusing on his new element for too long for his liking and he wanted to try something new. Seeing as he had nothing else memorised, Nano found that the only way to continue was to go back to the library. He would search for a similar book to the one which he had read prior to today. There should most definitely be another helpful book somewhere in the shinobi section of the library, there always was.
Walking along the busy streets of Hoshigakure, Nano melted into the crowd until he eventually arrived at the familiar building that was the library. He had been here many times when he was young seeing as he had never been accepted in any kind of schooling so he was forced to do so himself. Moving away from that depressing thought, Nano pushed the large doors open and silently stepped through the halls. Nodding to the librarian as he passed him, he stepped up to what he believed to be the Ninjutsu aisle.
When he walked through the aisle, he saw many heads turn towards him and he became confused. Every other time he had come to the ninjutsu section nobody had noticed and had let him be. Picking up a book from one of the shelves, Nano read the title aloud to himself. 'Sex Positions: Pros & Cons'. His face turned a bright shade of red resembling a tomato and he quickly put the book back and dashed out of the area. Now he understood why people were looking at him funny. A twelve year old browsing the sex aisle. Then again, a ninja is regarded as an adult as soon as they make genin.
This time walking into what he was sure was the Ninjutsu aisle, Nano picked out a green-covered, jutsu directory from the shelf. This time, it had an appropriate name of 'Fantastic jutsu and how to learn them.' Opening the first page he saw a photo of a man slashing through the air with his hand and creating cuts of wind Chakra where he had waved his arm. The name of the jutsu was Beast Tearing Palm. It sounded and looked like an interesting thing to learn so Nano read through the rest of the page.
It spoke about how the technique was used to send out powerful swipes of air in rapid succession to cut down your foe. This was really starting to look good for Nano. It appeared to be an A ranked jutsu so there was no doubt that it would be tough to learn but he was willing to spend time working on it. If he could learn such a cool manoeuvre he wouldn't hesitate to show it off to all of his friends. Not that they would really care considering most of his friends were much more powerful than him.
Either way, this would be his very first A ranked jutsu and he wouldn't stop until he learnt it. He had never truly seen a high ranking jutsu be performed. Whenever he had been taught by somebody, Ayato-Senpai for instance, he hadn't been ready to learn such difficult techniques, only E ranks and D ranks. Hopefully sometime in the future he would be given the opportunity to learn from someone again seeing as he was now capable of learning the types of techniques he had always wanted. In his eyes, having such a powerful thing up his sleeve gave him a better chance at winning if he-no when he needed to protect someone.
The book didn't mention anything to do with handseals so Nano presumed it was one of the rare cases where it wasn't necessary. However, it did mention that there was a certain way to channel the wind Chakra. It said that the user would have to push a huge amount of Chakra to the palm of their hand and then let it slowly be released whilst swiping their arm horizontally, leaving a silver trail which bursts out, damaging anybody in a 180° radius of the user for a maximum of 40 meters. Nano was reeaalllyy looking forward to this now.
Deciding he had read the pages of the chapter to a satisfactory level, Nano put the book back to where it was when he found it with the green binder pointing towards the hall as it was meant to be. Exiting the building without a sound, nodding to the librarian once again as he left. He would now head towards the training grounds again to learn the new A ranked jutsu. Hopefully he would be able to get this down swiftly.
