Re: Heart Raging Tea [P] [NK]

“I’ll try to put some modest trust in your credibility then, Kenshin” Shou would say in response to Kenshin introducing himself, his words causing Kenshin’s smirk to grow a little further. He was honestly starting to like this kid, not only was he proving to be amusing but it seemed that he also possessed a good head on his shoulders, something that seemed to be quite a rare thing in the village that he found himself serving. As Kenshin’s offer for the waitress to surprise him with a drink was given he would see an amused smirk appear on the face of the ginger haired young man that sat opposite him. He wasn't too sure exactly why that amused the young man, seeing as he had never been to this town before and thus did not know what beverages they did bes. But then again that shouldn't really be a surprise to anyone, he had never exactly understood regular people and their emotions, he was just a good enough actor, or as Shou put it, ‘chamelion impersonator’, to make it seem that he did.
“Oh yeah” Shou would say suddenly, raising his menu up to the waitress and gesturing to something in the drinks portion, an action that resulted in one of Kenshin’s silver brows raising in an unasked question. “Don’t worry, I am good at surprises.” Shou would then say, answering the unasked question. It seemed that Shou had misunderstood, he had actually been asking the waitress to surprise him with the drink, but then again, it didn't really matter to Kenshin who chose his drink, either way he was going to be surprised by the drink that was going to arrive. Shortly after his sushi and tea arrived Kenshin began to exchange small pieces of information about himself with Shou, nothing too important mind you, and nothing at all from his time before Hoshi, but the information that he gave would make it easy for Shou to find him should he ever wish to take a mission with him, or even train together in the future.
Shou’s search for an old heirloom interested him somewhat, but what truly fascinated the stitched and scarred young man was the research that the younger shinobi was doing on the land of Haven. From what he had been told the freckled teen was trying to restore some life into the arid and dry lands of Haven Country, but that was all that he had mentioned about the project, something that actually irked Kenshin quite a bit, if only because he found the subject interesting and wished to know some of Shou’s findings. The irritation that he felt was soon forgotten though, because he could understand why the young man was hesitant to give out any information on his little project, especially to someone that he had met only minutes prior.
By the time their conversation was done so too was their food, Shou signalling the waitress from earlier over to pay what he owed. “See you another time; perhaps in Hoshi, Kenshin?” he would ask as he walked away. “I look forward to our next meeting” the albino would call out just before Shou got out of hearing range, a small smirk of amusement splitting his pale lips. Kenshin would then turn to the waitress, who was still standing next to the table with a polite smile on her face, no doubt waiting to see if he was ordering something else or leaving as well.
