Ryou saw that Zak was struggling with getting the jutsu down. He went back when Love and him learned it together, they were sitting, so maybe that will help. "Sit down and take deep breaths, maybe that will help." Ryou would do as he said, sitting down in the grass taking deep breath of the relaxing air. Wind, all around him, filled his lungs and made him feel more alive. "Once you have it down like this, it should come to you when your in battle." Ryou added

Zakari was frustrated, but sat down like Ryou told him to. He sat down into the grass cross legged. Ryou was asking him to mediate, basically. Something that his dad had made him do more than a few times. He had never been to loving of the act, but he definitely knew how to do it. His dad had always stressed calming his mind, and this technique sounded exactly like that. He wrested his hands in his lap, placed lightly together. Like all the times before he closed his eyes, and slowed his breathing, while focusing on deepening them. He had to admit, that after getting so excited from the other jutsu. This calmness felt pretty nice. The more his mind seemed to slow the more Zak was aware of everything around him. He could feel the wind that brushed over his skin, and rustled the leaves in the trees. He could hear birds and other animals making noises in the trees. It was more aware than Zak had ever been.
He seized on this opportunity and envisioned the river in his head, once more. Instead of imagining a wall of chakra that slowed the river. Instead, he pictured his chakra mixed in with the river and it flowed with the river. Except this chakra was slow, heavy, and calming. The more chakra he mixed with the river the slower the river seemed to get. He was so focused on this image that he did not even notice that his hands had risen up from resting on his lap and he had formed the tiger seal. He took one more deep breath, and when he opened his eyes, everything seemed to be moving in slow motion. Zak noticed small details that he had never noticed. Their was a small bird that was flying through the air, but Zak could almost count the feathers on the bird's wing. This feeling was amazing. Suddenly, everything was back to moving normally. He opened his eyes and looked to Ryou with a grin. It all felt like this had only taken a few minutes, but when he looked to the sun. At least, an hour had passed.

Judging from Zak's smile, Ryou guess he had did it. "Great job!, now we can keep going or we can end for the day." Ryou also looked at the sky, training has taken a long time but he could keep going.
If the fellow genin chose to train some more, then Ryou would pull out his jutsu book and flip through it. Soon he would stop at a page and show him the page with temporary paralysis technique. "I don't know this jutsu but we could learn it together." Ryou would tell Zak with a friendly smile.

Zakari had accomplished so much in this training with guidance from Ryou. Their was no way he was going to stop training. Not yet, not until until their was no light left in the sky. He readily agreed, "Yeah, let's keep going." Ryou produced a book filled with jutsu. He reminded himself to get something like that. He read over the jutsu that Ryou was pointing at "Yeah, we could definitely learn it. With both of us together. This should be no problem."

"Sweet ,alright lets see." Ryou starts to read from the book. "After forming the handseal, the user captures any one living being nearby with their chakra, debilitating them as if the target had been bound by steel ropes." Then he added from the text, "If the user has mastered this jutsu, they may cast it by having the target look into their eyes, without the need for a handseal." Ryou smiled, "This is a cool jutsu." He gets up from meditation. He looked around to see what he could use for his jutsu practice. Then a idea ran across the field, it was a squirrel. "I know! We could use the squirrels as our subjects in this." Ryou quickly preformed the hand sign for tiger. Then he flowed his chakra, keeping a eye on the squirrel. Ryou would imagine steel chain around the woodland creature with his chakra. Though he had this thought process, it did not slow or even stop the little bugger. The same animal escaped. "Dang, I guess we'll have to wait for another one to show up."

Zak listened to him read the description, and waited to see how he would go about training. Just like the other jutsu that he had learned today, the hand seal was the tiger seal, so he already knew that part. He followed along with Ryou and looked for a squirrel. It took a few more minutes, but eventually another one came in range. It was Zak's turn, so he formed the hand seal and imagined his chakra blanketing the squirrel like some sort of chakra hug. Just like Ryou's attempt, the squirrel barely batted and eye and continued on with what ever squirrels do. He had been hoping for quicker results, but this fail was what he had been expecting. This was the first time he had tried a jutsu in which he was attempting to do something physical to another living thing from a distance. He did not know how it was suppose to work. It would just take a trial and error type of feel. "If we just wait for squirrels it will take to long. Let's just try to catch whatever comes in range."

Ryou nodded at Zak's idea of just using it on things that are in range. Ryou looked around with his hands still in the tiger sign. A small little robin flew over head, so Ryou watched the bird until landed. It soon landed on a branch on a tree not to far and still and in range. He tried the same that he used on the squirrel, with the steel chains of chakra. Ryou did see a change from the last attempt. This time, the bird was about to take off into the sky but got slowed down a bit, which was a good sign. Though the jutsu didn't work he kept at the jutsu to get it to the point where he stopped the birds in their tracks. He was close once, he used the jutsu on another animal, a cat. It was about to pounce on a bird that was grounded. Once Ryou used the jutsu, the cat looked confused and didn't move for a brief moment but in that moment the bird flew away, so the cat just walked away. "Yes," he proclaimed in his victory. All of this took about 30 mins of him holding the tiger hand sign while staring at animals, it was a very strange sight for onlookers.

Zak watched Ryou go back to training for a few seconds, before he returned to his own focus. He had to wait a few minutes for something to come in range, but once again, a squirrel walked into his range. He spread his chakra out towards the small creature, but it did nothing. He grimaced in frustration from his failure. Maybe, if he was thinking about it wrong. He imagined his chakra like a blanket covering the squirrel, but it was to light. It was not slowing down the squirrel at all. He thought about it for a few minutes. His chakra was to light, so he just needed to condense it, but then it would not cover the whole object.
He thought back to the book that he and Ryou had read it from. He had only scanned over it, but then he remembered that while Ryou was reading it out loud. The description described it as steel ropes. If that is how it was described, then that was how Zak needed to imagine it. Once he was done with this thinking, he heard Ryou let out a small cheer. He was already behind, so he needed to focus. This time, he did not have to wait long for another chance, when he spotted a bird sitting in a tree, nearby. This time he channeled his chakra and pictured it in the form of steel rope. The rope circled around the bird, and it was obvious that the bird felt something. It went to fly away, but seemed to be weighed down for a second, like it struggled to open up its wing. On the second try, the bird managed to get his wings open and then flew out of Zak's range. It was not perfect, but it was a beginning.

Ryou saw Zak get the bird to not open it's wing for a second before it broke free and flew away and out of range. This was good because that meant they were learning about the same pace. Ryou looked around for some more animals to preform the jutsu on. For the next 20 minutes, Ryou seemed to only get the animals that he targeted for a brief moment then they break free and escape. Then he was about to hold the jutsu longer on a squirrel he targeted. It was there, frozen, for about 30 second. Ryou thought this was great improvement, but that was only a small animal, putting the small woodland creature into the jutsu was much easier than putting a shinobi or any other person into the jutsu. So Ryou thought it was time to change to a person. Find a person wasn't to hard at the moment but it might later as it gets darker and colder. The first person he targets was a women, alone, and just walking by the training grounds. He preformed the tiger sign like he had so many times and flowed his chakra. He imagined the steel chains around the female. Sadly, nothing happened, she just kept walking normally.

Zak continued his own training repeating the process of trying to restrain any animal that wandered into his range. He decided to take a methodical approach, so he practiced until he could hold down a squirrel. Once he could do that he moved onto to try the hold down the birds. They proved the be more difficult, not because they were bigger than the squirrel, but their quick movements. He took one last deep breath, and reached out with his chakra to grab a bird in mid flight. From the earlier attempts, he knew that he had to adjust for the bird being in flight. He also knew that he would have to firmly condense his chakra around the bird, or it would sleep through. Zak watched in satisfaction as the bird seemed to freeze, and then crash into the ground. He smiled happily, and turned to see how Ryou was doing. He saw that Ryou had moved on to new prey. He quietly made his way to Ryou's side. He saw that he was attempting to use the technique on a woman. It was not to surprising to see the woman not even notice. Zak would have been lying if he said that he was not a little relieved. If Ryou succeeded that would have meant Zak was lagging behind.
