The Wolf and his boy (Sal) (P)
Sun May 14, 2017 4:34 pm
Ryou was in love with the bed he was given to sleep in while he stayed in the leaf. He was just laying on the bed, on the covers because it was still day outside but it was about to end in about an hour. He was thinking about home, Suna. Ryou, sadly, didn't know what was going on with Suna becoming a part of Kumo's empire. He had left his aunt behind, so he hoped she was doing well. Then he remember training with big sister Ayame, and the Valley she had him see with her genjutsu. Ryou sat up in Sal's bed and got out of the bed. Sal was asleep in the living room, so he treaded lightly to the doorway and slipped on his sandals. He was about to leave but then he saw Sal, Maybe he could meet me there when he wakes up? Ryou thought. Quickly, he grabbed paper and a pen and wrote on the paper, "I'm going down to Death Valley, meet me there if I'm not at the house." He placed the paper with the message on Sal's forehead lightly so he would wake. Then Ryou would quietly open the door and close it after himself.
Finding the Valley wasn't hard, all he had to do was ask and the citizens would tell him and point him to the right direction. After thanking them, he went on his way. He found the valley, it was beautiful. The smell, the look, hell, every of the five senses were loving the waterfall. He same to the river bellow the waterfall and felt the water in his fingers. The stone statues were huge compared to the eleven year old. After exploring the majestic valley, he walked up the wall and onto the 1st hokages statue, of course he didn't know them or know the history to it.
Ryou then pulled out a single kunai, he figured that it would be nice to start training on one of his clans jutsu while he was alone at the water fall with it only being him and the statues there at that moment. This one was called Bone Armor jutsu, which was suppose to be a jutsu making a bone armor under the skin, making him stronger without the opponent knowledge. He focused on his bloodline chakra going around and under the skin. he most focused on his hand getting the armor because that's were he will stab himself to see if it worked. Once he felt he had it down, he took the kunai and stabbed opposite hand. It hurt and it bleed. "Shit!" He examined before he weaved the hand sign to use medical ninjutsu to heal himself. The wound went away. He sighed and laid back onto the statue. He hoped Sal would come soon.

Salzem was having one of those days... One of those days when it was really hard to get any real sleep, that whatever good sleep you do get is interrupted by the littlest thing in the middle of the night. The hoot of an owl, the screech of the floor-boards, the sound of the door closing... In Salzem's case, he was awakened by the small note Ryou had placed on his forehead as it slipped off his face, tickling his skin. The Lycan's eyes fluttered open and his breath seized as he sat up, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Ugh... Another day... another night I can't sleep..." He mumbled, pulling his blanket back over himself, throwing his head back down into his pillow. It was as he was closing his eyes did he notice the small piece of paper on the floor, one that hadn't been there before... Were he the kind of guy that lived in an overly-messy home, he might've just let it lie there until morning... He was not that kind of person however, at least not with his own home SO he scooped it up, nearly crumpling it in his hands before he saw familiar handwriting on it's face Ryou's... It read:
I'm going down to Death Valley, meet me there if I'm not at the house.
"Damn it Ryou...." Salzem sighed, closing his eyes and contemplating whether or not he should accept his request. It would be so easy to just close his eyes and try to nab some more sleep... so easy to just be lazy tonight but... he just couldn't bring himself to be a disappointment to the little guy... not after what he did. SO, instead, he threw off the blanket and drowsily made it back up to his room and started pulling on his normal outfit, muttering all the while.
Salzem would make is way over to "Death Valley", finding it ironic, as he always does, how such a beautiful place could be labeled something so sinister. It was like calling an oasis an ocean or the sky the ground... it made no sense... Despite the lack of logic its name, the lycan wandered about until he heard Ryou's voice spout a certain obsinity, forcing the werewolf to suppress a grin. Poor kid... he's been living with Salzem too long and was now starting to pick up his habits. As he made his way in the direction of the noise, Salzem spotted Ryou healing himself from a particularly nasty wound on his shoulder, the green light burning away the damaged flesh.
"Watch your language...." Salzem yawned as he approached before pulling the little guy into a hug. "So... What're we doing here...?"

Ryou looked over at Sal once he spoke. Ryou blushed as he was embarrassed that he heard him swear. "S-sorry Big brother Sal." He sat up when Sal hugged him. Then the Lycan asked a reasonable question, "So... What're we doing here...?" Ryou looked into the chuunin's eyes, having him look into his hazel eyes, "Well...Ayame showed me this place in a genjutsu back in Suna and I wanted to see the valley myself and who better to see it with than you." He giggled at that last comment. Then he added, "Also, I heard from some villagers that there was suppose to be a full moon tonight." Ryou then guessed that Sal saw him stab himself so he felt he owed an explanation, "Oh, and the kunai thing was to try out a new jutsu called Bone Armor jutsu but it didn't work." He gave a nervous laugh.

Salzem merely rolled his eyes as Ryou apologized to him in a way a big brother would. More or less, he was annoyed that his friend was picking up his habits more than he would be angry. Poor kid wasn't old enough at all to be- This train of thought halted as what the kid said finally worked it's way through the wolf's brain. What...? Did he just call him Big-Brother Sal...? This was a first... Never once had anyone ever referred to him as a "Big brother" nor was he even aspiring for the roll! His first reaction was one of intense confusion, like one he might feel if Kira were to suddenly appear before him, slap him sideways, then disappear just as quickly. His second reaction was one of flattery... that someone would actually slap that title on him and not do so ironically was something that touched his heart... deeply. Ryou looked into his eyes and explained that the reason that they were here was that he had seen this place once in a genjutsu and ever since, he wanted to check it out... with Salzem. The lycan couldn't help but smile at that. It was so adorable the way Ryou was acting... They might as well have been biological siblings with the way they acted around each other. Ryou calling him big bro... Salzem telling him not to swear... the two hugging each other so comfortably... It was very touching indeed.
However, Salzem's eyes flickered down to the kid's wound and, before he could even ask, Ryou stated that he was just practicing a technique, something called "bone armor" that didn't work apparently. Salzem smirked somewhat at that, gently ruffling the younger boy's hair.
"You'll get it! I'm certain of it." The lycan said confidently, grinning down at the young boy with a sort of mild pride. The lycan looked up into the sky as the full moon rose up to it's place, it's silver light beaming down upon the two ninja in this beautiful garden of named death. Standing beside Ryou, watching the moon-rise... Salzem was happy...

Ryou loved getting praise from Sal. When he said that he could do the jutsu, his confidence went up ten fold, not like he didn't believe in himself. "Thanks big brother, the jutsu might be the thing to finally beat you." He giggled again because he could tell that he liked it. Ryou remembered the curry shop with Sal, it was pretty embarrassing thinking about it now. Back then, he didn't really think of the Lycan as a brother but more of a best friend. Then it evolved into brotherly relationship, which he liked much more than the best friend. As for the sexual attraction, I guess Ryou gave up on that because he knew he had no chance. That wasn't a bad thing because like i said before, he liked having a bigger brother.
Ryou stared at the beauty of the full moon. It's light shined on both their faces. The water fall and river were now shining and glimmering in the light as well. Everything would be prefect if Ryou wouldn't of just then felt sick. He felt sick in his stomach and he seem to get some feverish symptoms. His face would turn a bit pale while his cheeks stayed rosy. Ryou didn't know what could of cause this so suddenly. He wasn't around anyone sick nor has he seen anything go around. He didn't think it was any weird allergy because he wasn't allergic to anything. He did find out that looking at the beauty of the full moon was not helping so he changed his gaze to the darkened forest. He didn't want to tell Sal because he didn't want to make it a big fuse and ruin the moment he had with Sal. He needed to stop worrying about what it could be, so he told Sal, "So, you need to tell me about you and your family and maybe about a crush." he giggled again about the crush thing.

"Pffft. Don't get cocky, kid." Salzem snorted with a slight grin as Ryou stated that his little armor technique would be able to beat him. Heh... Yeah right... The lycan could get a form that could make him heal from almost anything AND have a really durable exterior to boot! Ah... he was already comparing himself to his younger brother... And so, sibling rivalry began...
The lycan had noticed that Ryou was somewhat uncomfortable, his expression certainly matching that description. It didn't look like he was in pain, more-so that something seemed to be bothering him but what wasn't so obvious. It could be anything from the pollen, to the wetness of the air, to the sharpness of the grass! Salzem knew how annoying grass-cuts could be... or at least, he remembered how bad they could be... back before he had his healing factor.
When Ryou asked him about his family or crushes, the lycan immediately opted out of telling the story of his family. He hated telling people that story... His dad was dead, his mother had a sister that he never was told about... most of his friends and other people he considered family were also dead... He couldn't even go to the graveyard to count them all anymore because it was so painful. Instead, he focused on Ryou's other suggestion: a "crush" of his.
"Oh... well... um... I have a girlfriend, not a crush." Salzem explained, blushing the tiniest bit. "She's got this silky red hair.... one blue eye and one green eye... She's so confident and beautiful...." His gaze seemed to fade off into the distance as he pictured Kira Uzumaki. I.... I love her..."

Sal seemed to get all lovey dovey when he told about his girlfriend. "Ooooo." He would childishly taunt. He was about to ask, "Why wasn't I told about her?" but all of that was interrupted by throbbing in his head and his ears ringing. Ryou would slip from Sal's hug hold, not like he didn't want it, it was more of he needed to lay down at the Lycan's home. "C-can we go home...I'm feeling ill." He then started stumbling around and soon enough he was at the side of one of the statues. He was feeling so sick, and loopy. First he thought it was an enemy that was using some kind of jutsu. He soon brushed it off but thought of something even more crazy, that Salzem poisoned him. Ryou shook his head to get the thought out, he wondered if the craziness was effecting his thoughts. Soon all thoughts stopped as he collapsed unconscious. His body laid sleep like in the grass of the valley of death. Ryou's breaths were heavy still.

Salzem blushed lightly as Ryou responded with the typical immature way. He didn't know what he expected really. Perhaps he wanted him to say "How'd you meet?" or "How long have you been dating" like someone his age but the kid was only little and cared not about such things... Just the fact Salzem HAD a girl of his own... well... rather she had him... in a headlock.... He loved it.
"Sh-shut up." He muttered, glaring down at the child, though he suddenly noticed something odd about him. That same uncomfortableness that Salzem had spotted earlier had grown into something much more obvious and pronounced... Ryou's eyes seemed unfocused, his posture unsteady at best and his strength seeming to wane by the second. The scent of his sweat was something Salzem couldn't miss if he tried, that sickeningly salty smell mixed with exposed water, but also that vomit-like hint of sick that seemed to waft around the poor kid... What was going on with him? Ryou slipped out of the little hug they shared and asked if they could go home, seeming to disillusionally wander towards one of the statues while the lycan only stared in shock and concern, all embarrassment and outrage completely gone.
"Uh... sure, bud- RYOU!" Salzem exclaimed as the boy's legs fell out from under him, causing Ryou to fall forward towards the ground. Springing into action, Salzem used his speed to sweep the kid out of the air before he struck the ground, cradling him in his arms as if he were some kind of fragile object.
"Ryou...?" He murmured quietlu, staring into his still face with wide eyes. "K...Kid...?" He could hear his breathing even if it was slight, feel his heart pumping if faintly... He could sense the blood pumping through this kid... sense his life... He was alive... but he needed a doctor and fast! Holding the kid in his arms, Salzem made his way back towards the village, his eyes locked on Ryou for any changes.
"Hold on, Ryou...." He muttered. "Hold on..."

Ryou woke up breifly to feel Sal holding him, but he couldn't say anything as still had a terrible headache. "S-s..," that was all he could get out of his weak mouth. Ryou groaned once Sal picked him up, but he didn't know what was going. His eyes were hazy when Sal looked into them. Soon that all changed, his eyes were turning red, first in the iris then the whole eye, it was a clean blood red. Ryou pushed himself away from the fellow lycan. Now on the ground he was on all fours. His heavy breathing turned to whine and growls, his body was shaking form traumatic transformations. The transformation couldn't be anymore painful and slow. The next thing to change was his skin. It became hairy, brown and gray, it looked wild, . It wasn't like a full coat yet. Next was he size of his arms, he lengthed by a lot, almost twice the original size, ripping the sleeves of the sweatshirt he was wearing. Soon his legs followed and started to extend, also ripping the black shorts he wore. His face, full of hair, was now also altering, his mouth grew to a maw, on of a wolf's. His hand shook as they thicken and his nails grew into 2 inched nails. His feet shook and turned into hide leg paws, the sandals he was wearing where ruined . Ryou quickly rose of the ground and started squeezing his head as his leg bend in uncomfortable looking positions, He was yelling in pain wanting it to stop."AGH!!!!," Ryou cried, it sounded awful. Now that he was standing his body started to grow more. Now the transformation was done, he looked nothing like his formal sweetfaced, hazel eyed, mid blonde haired self, and Ryou's yelling was no more, it was replaced his snarling and growling at Sal, drool ran down his mouth. He roared in the Lycan's face to get a bit intimidating, his former clothes were in pieces by his feet. The roar didn't come from Ryou anymore, but a unknown rage, it was savage and wild, full of potential murder The roar was soon followed with a punch with a power of 30 and speed of 50.
If it were to get dodged, which I wouldn't be surprised, the newly formed lycan would charge to the fellow lycan's position with claws slashing (speed of 50, sharpness of 60). Ryou didn't know what he was doing, all he knew now was to kill and destroy. The scent of humans were not that far off and the lycan wanted it, he wanted to feast on the villagers of the leaf. Of course Ryou wouldn't want any of that, but he was in no way in control over his body, or more so the lycan's body.

"R-Ryou...?" Salzem asked as the kid seemed to try to mutter his name. The lycan looked down at him, hoping to see his eyes... only to see insidious sanguine orbs glaring wide-eyed at him from below. The ninja yelped in surprise as the younger kid shoved him away, forcing Salzem to drop him, his heart beating several times faster than normal as he watched Ryou fall on all fours... convulsing... He watched in horror as the kid he knew and loved began a transformation eerily familiar to the pack-leader... When he became a werewolf...
The ninja didn't, or rather couldn't, as how or why, his mind frosted over with fear and confusion. He'd felt how painful it was to transform... how ugly... but to see it in the third person, to watch someone's body mutate and contort into something like that... and the sounds.... the SOUNDS.... of flesh stretching, bones snapping and reforming, muscles tearing and knitting back together... It was all so different... Haunting...
Before he knew it... All that stood before Salzem now was a ravenous beast, a monster with the mindless desire to consume and kill, drool running from the mouth of a figure that had Ryou's face. Speech would never get through to something like this... No... Salzem remembered how he first transformed... He had to wear himself out under the moon until exhaustion drove his mind from it's hole... He'd have to beat down this creature until it could no longer stand...
As the beast rushed forward, throwing a gnarled fist at Salzem's face, the lycan's body would begin to shift as well, growing larger, mutated, fur sprouting from his back and arms... white, softer fur. Salzem took on his pack-leader form to fight this werewolf, hoping that somehow, this would help to contain the madness that'd consumed Ryou (speed 125). With little effort, he caught the kid's twisted fist him an open calm, closing his fingers around his knuckles, holding it tight (speed 50, strength 50) and the opposing lycan in place. If the monster continued to slash at him with his claws, Salzem would reach out with his other hand, grabbing his wrist as his claws came around, holding them tight too to the point of nearly crushing the monster's bones (speed 80, strength 60).
With both the monster's limbs restrained, Salzem would slam his forehead into his opponent's, causing both their ears to ring and stunning them both somewhat, but far less so the packleader (speed 100, strength 60). He'd follow up with a quick knee to the lycan's stomach as well, intended for his strike to knock out every last bit of air from Ryou's system, leaving him helpless... hopefully enough so that the kid could regain his mind.
