Prisoner Guinea Pig!

Fun with Grima.
Kohei found that his training was a lot easier to undertake, both in terms of time and avoiding boredom, when he tried to incorporate training techniques and the like into his normal or otherwise planned activities. At the moment, he was implementing exactly that kind of idea.
He had a Claws of Grima goon trapped in the basement. Every time Kohei came in to interrogate the individual about the papers that Kohei had previously stolen from the Grima hideouts, he would first bind the goon with his chakra, immobilizing the poor fool, before beginning the delicate procedures planned.
He had not always been able to do this. At first, the goon had fought back, and Kohei had let him. He needed the exercise, and being a lot faster than the prisoner, was able to easily defeat him in single combat, even unarmed as a ninjutsu user. However, it was hard to question the victim when he was knocked out, and Kohei was not skilled enough to avoid serious injuries. His solution was to practice the Temporary Paralysis technique on the target when he tried to punch Kohei. Kicks were soon added afterward. Slowly, Kohei increased the amount of control he could exert over the opponent’s body, moving from just paralyzing a single limb to two limbs, and eventually the entire body.
It was strange how the hunter had become the hunted, how the normally quiet and unassuming worker bee had started becoming an evil shade. He certainly hadn’t seen himself in this position five years ago, nor even a year ago. Strange how circumstances change, both for him and this Grima goon.
At first when he had started practicing the Temporary Paralysis technique on the target person, his chakra control had not been sufficient. The target was hale and hearty at the time, only being inconvenienced by the minor discomfort of little sleep. Kohei had not controlled his chakra very well, and the goon had broken free a number of times before Kohei was able to achieve a partial restraint. Yep, this brief interlude was not intentionally redundant. Oops.
While once he was using the technique to stop the goon from running him through with a poker, he was now using the technique to stop the target form speaking or struggling. Involuntary movements, while deliciou to watch in the throes of a sweet revenge, were not very conductive to a thorough investigation. Flailing limbs and frantic squirming made it harder to keep the target alive, especially when Kohei had never tried an interrogation technique before. Mistakes would be costly, it was not often that he found as well informed a member of Grima as this one, extending his capabilities as long as possible was quite the necessity.
As such, the Temporary Paralysis technique that he used throughout his “examinations” took on a real importance. It was also helpful for him to capture subjects and prevent them from escaping - which nearly happened a couple of times.
Now though, the victim wasn’t going anywhere, and mostly reacted to stimuli such as… pain. He had mostly broken down the will of this human. In a twisted way, Kohei was finding this to be great fun, laughing and joking with the silent prisoner who had long ago lost the ability to speak. Kohei really needed to see a shrink soon enough, before he became completely crazy, if it was not too late already.
Enough musing about the past, it was time to get to work.
Kohei preferred to use his ninja tools or summoned needles as his instruments of choice. The needles he could make were particularly useful, since they could basically dissipate, removing any evidence if he wished. Wasn’t like anyone was able to check up on the sublimed ice or water vapor for traces of his chakra, especially when he used existing materials. The blood would in time evaporate, maybe staining the floor, but not his weapons if they weren’t used. If anything, his kunai were only used when he needed to cut straight lines that would be hard to heal….
He walked down into the basement, the goon in question shrinking against the far wall. That stopped abruptly when Kohei performed the initiating hand seal, his chakra reaching out to encapsulate and prevent the goon from moving. Honestly, he didn’t know why the goon bothered, he was going to get hurt either way. Until he spilled out a name, that is.
The goon helpless, Kohei approached, taking hold of the goon’s right arm.
Unfortunately, to get the arm into a better position, he would need to release the goon from the jutsu for a brief interlude, but no matter.
The goon showed a lot of pep today, nearly landing a punch that Kohei had not been expecting. Cursing his carelessness internally, Kohei paralyzed the man’s entire body, the momentum taking the goon’s fist to within half a meter of Kohei’s face. Pretty impressive, actually. Kohei grinned at the man like he had planned this all along, he couldn’t show weakness, not now.
However, he had achieved the desired result - the man’s arm was now all by itself in a convenient position. The fellow was even standing, so Kohei didn’t have to crouch. How thoughtful. He had been toying with when to completely remove the man’s finger nails, and now seemed like the perfect time, to punish the man’s insolence.
Keeping the man frozen, Kohei carefully formed a single ice needle. He flipped it into the air for a moment, catching it with a point sticking up. He had made it thing, but the point was tapered, so that instead of flat sides of the coic points, the sides instead curved inwards. The purpose of this was demonstrated rapidly as he slowly shoved the point of the needle into the tiny gap between the man’s fingertip and the nail. The front of the nail began sliding along the edge of the needle, the curvature causing it to slowly rise up more quickly than normal, while still allowing the needle point to slide into the tiny gap.
To either the goon’s credit or Kohei, the goon didn’t flinch once. Kohei liked to think that the lack of visible reaction would be caused by his Temporary Paralysis technique, rather than just a pain tolerance.
