Mission specs:

The day had finally arrived. Today was the day that Renji would set out on his long path towards becoming a Chunin. Having only recently just graduated the Academy, Renji was still considered a newbie to the shinobi world, but has thus far shown enough promise to make it this far and earn the right to take his first trial.

Renji would wake up extra early today, wanting to make sure that he was the first person in line to take the exam. He did not know what to expect, but had been training extra hard since recently hearing that he would be taking the first trial towards becoming a Chunin . Renji has Even learned a few new jutsu along the way.

Jumping out of his bed Renji would quickly get changed; tying his Kumo headband extra tight this morning, and heads for the door, choosing to skip breakfast entirely.

Once outside, Renji would begin to make his walk to the academy. In Kumogakure, they did not have a big lavish training center where ninja go to take their exams in order to rank up. And based off the letter that he had received in the mail, Renji assumed that he would be taking this trial at the Academy. As that was where the letter told the young shinobi to meet, no further instructions being printed on the letter.

A bit nervous, Renji would start to slow down a little as the academy would begin to come into view. His head would beginning to get filled with thoughts of what ifs. What if I’m not ready, what if I get killed? What if im late? Are just some of the questions that would swirl through Renji’s head as he is almost at the Academy.

As he is a few feet away from the door, Renji would take a Deep breath pushing aside all his questions/doubts and turns the handle, walking into the building.

It was around 5:30am, the sun had not even risen yet over the mountains. The academy lights are still off as the building had not yet officially opened for the day. Having never been inside of the academy at such an early hour, Renji would scan the  reception area, noting how different it looked with out the sun beaming in through the windows. As he is scanning the room, renji would not notice as a mysterious stranger walks up behind him and places his hand on Renji’s shoulder.

Not expecting the man to be there, Renji would nearly jump out of his skin. Quickly he would jump away from the man’s grasp and turns to face him; Renji’s hands up ready to defend himself.

Upon turning to face the man, Renji would notice the Kumo headband the man was wearing. Seeing this Renji would relax his stance a bit, assuming that this was the proctor for his exam.

“haha gets em every time.” The man would say as he is laughing at the startled Renji. The man would clap his hands together, and the lights in the reception area would come on.
With the better lighting, Renji would be able to see that the man was as older man that he had never seen around the village before. Renji would stand there and waits for the old man to speak.

“so your Renji Hyuga, the Genin that is taking the trials right.” The old man would ask Renji before continuing on, now in a more serious manner “in training ground 99 we have set up make shift three story building. On the top floor of this building there is a scroll. You have 24 hours to bring me that scroll. If you do you pass. Note though that the building will be well guarded so do not take this lightly” the man’s warning burning into Renji’s mind.

Once he was done speaking, the man would hand Renji a small slip of paper and clapping his hands he would turn back off the lights in the reception area. The room would instantly turn back dark and the man would disappear into the darkness.

Now Alone in the dark academy reception area, Renji quickly leaves the building and runs over to a nearby light post in order to read the slip of paper.  The paper would be a drawing of a map. The map showed the training grounds. In the top corner of the map would be a small clearing with a ‘X’ marked on it. Renji would assume that the X is the location of the building holding the scroll.

Renji would then rush back home in order to prepare for this mission. Once home he would grab something to eat and packs a small meal as he was expecting a long night ahead of him.   He would also grab a few jutsu scrolls off the table and a book so that he had something to read if he had any down time. Once he was done packing, Renji would throw his small bag over his shoulder and leaves his house sprinting for the training grounds. The time now being 7:30am he only had 22 and a half hours left.

As Renji is now walking into the training grounds, he would pull from his pocket the map that the old man had given him. Renji had never heard of this training grounds 99 that the man had mentioned. After quickly looking over the map. Renji would notice that he had to pass through a fairly dense forest before he would come up on training grounds 99. Renji would look down at his map and then up at his surroundings several times in an attempt to gather his baring.

Once he had surmised his position on the Map, Renji would begin to walk towards the tree line about 100 meters away from the entrance to the training grounds.

As Renji is navigating the dense forest around him he would begin to think to himself about different ways to attack this mission. All of his ideas would be terrible. First he thought of just running in and kicking down the door and going in guns blazing so to speak. Once he realized that would never work, he contemplated climbing the buildings outside wall. After yet another bad idea, Renji decides to wait till he gets to the training ground before coming up with anymore ideas. It is at this point when Renji would see what looks to be an opening up ahead “finally an end to all this forest” Renji would think to himself as he moves a bush out of his way.

As renji is starting to come up on the edge of the forest line, the bushes and trees around him would start to give way a bit, allowing him to pick up his pace. Renji would run all the way to the edge of the forest line, only stopping because of what he sees in front of him. Renji would quickly duck behind a tree before peering back out to take a second look to confirm what he had just seen.

Peering out from behind his concealed position, Renji would see what looked like a man relieving himself in the bushes not to far from where Renji was just about to exit the forest from. Across the man’s shirt would be written the words sentry. Seeing this, would cause Renji to scan the rest of the area that he could see in front of him. He would see a few more sentries scattered about. “well I should have guess that they would not make this easy, the old timer did say it would be guarded.” Renji would think to himself. Looking around, he would find a rather sturdy tall tree not to far from where he was currently standing. Renji would check to make sure that no one was looking in his direction before sprinting over to the tree and using his surface walk tree climbing jutsu, Renji would climb up about 20 meters into the tree, just high enough that unless someone was looking up, they would not notice that someone was up there. Standing on a thick branch and holding onto the tree for support, Renji would be able to see the entire clearing that was training ground 99 from up here. Having such a great view of the training grounds, Renji decides to use this tree as his base of operation from which he will launch his plan.  Renji would then hang his bag from a tree branch a few feet up from where he was standing. Afterwards he would walk out towards the edge of the 8 foot long tree branch and activates his byakugan; using it to get a better lay of the land around him. Through his byakugan, the first thing that Renji would try to confirm is the dimensions of the training grounds. The training grounds was completely surrounded by forest before giving way to a circular clearing that appeared to have about a 150 meter diameter. In the center of the clearing was a 3 story building; the building being in the shape of a square each side being about 50 meters. Scattered about the field were a bunch (about 30 or so) sentries,  more then half of which were probably still academy students as they looked to not know the first things of patrolling a sector. Renji would assume that they were tasked with stopping him from obtaining the scroll. “ok so first step is getting to the building” Renji would note aloud to himself before going back to scanning the area.

Once he was done scanning the area surrounding the building,  he would move on to scanning the actual building itself. Squinting harder and the veins around his eyes bulging a bit more, Renji would peer inside of the building walls and begins to examine the buildings three floors.  Upon looking through the wall, the first thing that Renji notices is the huge maze like structure that was the first floor. Surprised to see the maze, Renji would look to the second floor to see if that to was a maze, which of course it would be, and so would the third floor. On the third floor Renji would see what he is looking for. Or at least what he thinks he is looking for. In the middle of the third floor maze would be a room that Renji’s byakugan could not penetrate due to some type of  barrier in place on the door. “that must be it” Renji  would say aloud to himself as he comes across the barrier room during his scan. Now certain of the location of the scroll, Renji would move on to scanning the maze labyrinth of halls corridors and rooms in an attempt to find the best route to get to the third floor room that contained the scroll.

Just as Renji had finished mapping a route past the first floor maze, the whole building would begin to give off a loud creaking sound. And a second later, the maze on every floor would shift it’s pattern around, closing off some hallways here while opening others there. Even some rooms that were accessible a moment ago were no longer an option for the young shinobi.

A little discouraged, but not beat down, Renji would start all over mapping out the floors, this time trying to be a bit faster as he did so. However, this time, as he is just starting to map out the second floor the lay out of the maze would again shift and change on the young man. It would not be until Renji had tried and failed at mapping out the maze four times , that he would finally have a light bulb moment during his fifth attempt.

Having been at it and failing for an hour now, Renji would notice that the maze was shifting at a set interval of fifteen minutes. Seeing that he would not be able to map out or traverse the entire maze in just 15 minutes, Renji decides to map the maze out in sections. So he would map the first floor in the first fifteen minutes, then the second floor in the next 15 minutes after the first shift, and lastly he would map out the third floor after the second maze shift. Renji would also attempt to map out the travel path of the 3 Sentries that where patrolling the building; one per floor.

Renji would spend the next two hours carefully studying and examining the labyrinth in front on him, trying to ensure that he knew exactly what hallways the sentries took, and even how long they took to walk down a hallway.

It is around 4pm at this point. Seeing that it would be getting dark soon, Renji decides to take a break from his scanning of the house, tired from having used his byakugan for such a long period of time. He would take a seat on the branch, and resting his head against the branch, Renji would begin to think aloud to himself. “I should cut the lights to the building. It did not look like any members of the clan were in there, so I would have the added advantage of my byakugan while the lights are out. If I’m going to do that tho I have to do it now.” Renji would take a Deep breath and stands back up, this time looking at all of the students and genin that were in the training grounds guarding the building.

Renji would examine there movement for about ten minutes. Renji would easily be able to tell which are genin and which are the students, even despite the fact that No one was wearing a headband (they did this so to not give away who were the students and who were not.) As the students did not have much discipline in their patrolling methods. Many of them crossing sectors, leaving there sectors unguarded to use the bathroom, or not even guarding their sectors at all, instead choosing to hold conversations with their friends. Their where a few of the sentries that looked as if they had been patrolling their whole lives, Renji would make a mental note to stay away from their  sectors.

Once he was done, Renji would reactivate his byakugan and begins to scan the area around the outside of the building in search of the power generator. It would not take to long for Renji to find the power generator as it was the only thing connected to the house by a bunch of cables and power line.

Now that he knew where the generator was located, Renji would once again take a quick scan of the sentries in the field and then he would jump down from his perch. Landing softly on the ground below, he would instantly jump to his feet and precedes to sprint for the building, seeing through his byakugan that the path was clear right now.

Renji would easily make it to the generator as the sentries assigned to the path that he had took were off in a different sector picking flowers.

Now at the generator, Renji would see that there where a bunch of cords connecting the circuits together. Not to keen of an electrician Renji would first flip the giant switch to off (ensuring thst their was no power runing through the cords) he would then grab a handful of wires and reaching into his pocket he would pull from it a kunai and cuts the wires; effectively cutting the power to the house. Renji’s reasoning behind cutting the wires before the sun went down was to give the ninja inside the impression that the lights had not been working all day. And also so that they would not know when he was making hid move later as there would be a considerable amount of time between him cutting the wires and enacting his plan.

Once he was done at the generator Renji would look over towards the house and contemplates continuing on with the mission for a second as it was so close he could practically reach out and touch the building. But staying true to his plan renji quickly decides it better to wait, and would return back to his tree top hiding spot.

It was about 5pm at this point, the sun was getting ready to set, and Renji knew that he would soon be time to put his full plan into motion, as he wanted to strike around 1am, just late enough that most of the academy students in the yard should be bored and asleep, and the three chunnin(assuming) inside would be tired from patrolling all day and night. With some time to kill until go time, Renji would pull his bag from the tree branch that he had hung it from earlier. From his bag he would pull out the sandwich he had packed this morning before setting out, and also a book that he had been wanting to read. He would also pull from his pocket one of his kunai and begins to play with it while he eats and reads, trying to improve his effectiveness at drawing his weapon.

In his perch high off of the  ground Renji would not have to worry about any of the patrolling genin that where in the field in. In fact most of them are barely even patrolling at this point. A few of them have even fallen asleep where they stood, not caring if they got caught by instructors or not. Renji would spend the rest of the afternoon into the evening up there reading and playing with his kunai; his skills at drawing the weapon becoming better with each attempt, almost second nature. Every fifteen minutes or so Renji would check the building to watch as it shifts and changes, ensuring that the mazes pattern remained unchanged.

Around 9pm Renji would put his book away and pulls from his bag a jutsu scroll, deciding to use the rest of this time to work on a new jutsu. Renji would read the instructions for the b rank taijutsu sucker punch technique. Renji figured that  if caught he could possibly use this skills jutsu to knock the wind out of one of the sentries.

It would finally be around 1230pm when Renji finally puts his sucker punch jutsu scroll and Kunai away.

Taking a deep stretch he would walk back out towards the edge of the tree branch and activates his byakugan to assess the situation as he was about to set his plan into motion.

Looking first at the field, would see that at this point all of the academy students were asleep or doing a poor enough job patrolling their sectors that Renji would not have any problems with them once he does jump act. Seeing that he did not have to worry to much about his approach to the building, Renji would now shift his byakugan’s attention towards the building that he was about to assault.

Looking over the building, Renji would start at the first floor scanning the sentry, he appeared to be perhaps a year older than renji. This sentry did not look like he would be much trouble, he always followed the same path through the maze; always making a right when entering a room that presented him with the option. He appeared to be a little on edge as well walking slow and cautiously thru the maze, but that was to be expected with the complete darkness that the house maze was now in from Renji cutting the generators power earlier in the day.

Moving on to the second floor, Renji would see that this sentry was definitely older than him judging by all the facial hair the man had. He was kind of on the chubby side and appeared to not be affected by the lights out situation as he was happily stuffing his face with a bag of chips, Renji’s stomach would grumble a bit at the site of the chips as he had not eaten since the sandwich earlier.

Now moving on to the third floor, the prize of his mission would be right there for him behind the barrier covered room, Renji could just tell. Moving on he would quickly locates the sentry on this floor. She a woman in her teens. She looked like she did not play any games. She is walking through her floor of the maze not afraid but more like she’s in anticipation of Renji’s arrival. Ever ready, her head constantly on a swivel checking the corners and windows of every room before she moves on to the next room.

Now back up high on his perch, Renji would shift his field of vision away from the building for now, instead shifting to his 360 degree field vision. The time had Finally come. Renji would chuckle a bit at the nervous feeling that was now starting to come over his body,  almost like he had to throw up and had butterflies in his stomach at the same time. Taking a few deep breaths Renji would wait the final few minutes until it was almost a few moments until the next maze shift.

Walking out to the edge of the branch one last time, Renji would jump into the air and does a front flip while falling through the sky, he would land ever so gracefully in a one kneed position. He would quickly look to his right then left before getting up and making a break for the tree line, bursting out into the open field. Once he was in the field, Renji would not slow down a bit. Looking though his 360 vision, he would see that all the sentries around him where sleeping. Seeing this would cause Renji to slow down a bit in an attempt to conserve energy for the true trial ahead of him. When Renji finally makes it to the front door he would see that it was wide open , almost as if it were waiting to welcome him. Not wanting to delay any long Renji takes a step into the dark and creepy building now for the first time. While he had been scanning the building with his byakugan from a far all day, it would do nothing to prepare Renji for the scene he had just stepped into. With out any power, the building was pitch black, except for the little bit of light that came in thru the windows. The air was cold and had a eerie presence to it. Walking in just as 1am hit, Renji would hear the creaking and cracking that the building was making after having just shifted and now settling in for its next 15 minutes rest before it comes back to life and shifts again. Knowing that he is on the clock, Renji would take a step forward, and he would feel as the wooden floor beneath his feet crack as he applies pressure to it. The sound it makes would Echo throughout the rather large hallway that Renji was now standing in. “I really hope nobody heard that” Renji would think to himself as he checks in on the status of the sentry on this floor with his byakugan. Good, no change in the kids movement, Renji would assume that the sentry had not heard the creek. Renji would put his foot out to take another step, this time being especially aware of his surrounding now. He would use his byakugan to scan and check the floor for lose or cracked board, making sure to avoid them for the remainder of his stay.

Finally out of the main hallway, Renji would think back to all of the studying that he had done of this floor while he was sitting up on his tree. At this point it was almost second nature to Renji and he would have no problems at all traversing the first floor of the maze, getting to the final room of this floor just as the sentry was walking out of the other entrance to the room. Renji would wait a few moments by the door until the sentry was far enough away, doing this would only give Renji a few seconds to make it upstairs to the second floor before the maze would shift on him.

Realizing that the first 15 minutes was nearly up, Renji would make a break for the stairs. Speeding up them just as the building begins to give off this very loud audible creek that sounded like nails scratching across a chalkboard. The sound would be so loud and intense that it causes Renji to raise his hands up to his ears to keep them from bursting, or at least that’s what it felt like.

Finally the creaking would be over with and Renji would give off a sign of relief as he tries to gather himself and recall the lay out of the second floor.  “ok I believe I go….this way” Renji would think to himself as he begins walking towards the door on the left hand side of the room he was in. Still looking thru his byakugan 360 vision Renji would be sure to keep an eye on the chip eating sentry. Currently the sentry was a few hallways over from Renji. So to avoid getting caught Renji would slow down a bit. But unfortunately for Renji the sentry was really enjoying his snack, and slows down almost to a complete stop so that he could finish his bag of chips while he enjoyed the scenery outside of the window.

Having not planned for this small hiccups,  Renji would begin to panic a bit as this was the first time he was facing adversity all day. Nervous, Renji would decide to press on, and to just try to be quick and silent about it. The sentry was not in the hallway but in a room off from the hallway. So long as renji timed it, he should be able to speed by this guy and continue on his mission. Having already spent to much time as it is trying to figure out how best to handle his situation, Renji would get up and starts to walk down the hallway in a fast hurry.

Just as Renji is just about to walk past the room that the sentry was in eating his chips, Renji would nervously and over cautiously bump into a bookshelf, sending a small glass bookend crashing to the ground. Renji would try to make several unsuccessful attempts to grab the glass bookend, but to no avail. When the bookend hits the ground it would crash into a million pieces giving off aloud enough sound that it probably could be heard outside, and definitely be heard by the sentry in the room next door.

“awe crap..!” is all that Renji could manage to say as, through his byakugan he would see that the sentry was no longer indulging in his chips and looking out the window, but was reacting and looking around for the cause of the sound. Knowing that the sentry would soon be coming out of the room, Renji would quickly back track and runs down the hall that he had just came from(it being closer than going forward to the exit), making a left and then a right going through four doors and sliding across two table, before finally coming to a dead end hallway. The only thing in the hallway was a chair and a desk and the entrance that he had just come in from. Panicked Renji would run to the back wall and places his back against it while he watches the area near the entrance through his byakugan. A few minutes would pass and nothing would happen, Renji would just be standing there watching the entrance to his hallway and the room next to it. He would decide to give it a few more minutes before he leaves and tries to make his way to the stairs.  The maze was going to be shifting soon, and Renji knew that he had mapped it out so that he would be upstairs on the third floor by the second shift, if he did not make his timeline then he would not only be lost down here but here would also be lost upstairs.

While Renji is stressing about the shift change, he would notice through the 360 vision on his byakugan, the sentry walk through the entrance to the next room door. With only his dead end hallway connecting the two rooms, Renji knew that it was only a matter of time before the sentry had found him. As the sentry is walking towards the entrance to Renji’s room, renji would begin to think about which of his techniques to use to get him out of this situation. “I mean as long as I do not hurt him, it should be ok if I knock him out right?” Renji would think to himself as he continues to contemplate how to subdue the sentry with out hurting him.

Now 6 steps away from the entrance, every step would seems like an eternity. Renji would be torn between using his sucker punch out on this sentry or to let him catch him.

5 steps away from the entrance, Renji is now starting to sweat from his forehead as he thinks that he may have made his decision.

4 steps away from the entrance, Renji feels he’s come to far and worked to hard, he can not let this guy hold him back, Renji has to knock him out and hope he does not get disqualified.

3 steps away from the entrance, Renji begins to press back hard up against the wall behind him, to use it to gain momentum on his coming attack. Renji had been sizing him up the entire walk from the entrance to where the man was at now, and Renji believed that he could take this man if he caught him by surprise.

The man was now 2 steps away from the entrance to Renji’s room. Just as the man is about to pick back his foot to take another step, the building would give off that oh so familiar ‘creeeeeeeeeek!” as the gears start to shift and turn. Again the sound so loud that it affects not only Renji but the sentry as well, both men would Be stunned for a second maybe two. During this time the building would begin to morph and reshape itself. And before either of the two would know it or notice, the wall in front of the sentry would slam shut in his face. Almost instantaneous the wall behind Renji would fly open. The combination of Renji pressing back so hard against the wall and the speed at which the door opened, Renji would go flying backwards when the wall opens up, he would roll and tumble a few times, landing face down on the floor.

Renji would not spend much time down. He knew that he had just received a blessing and did not want to waste it. Picking himself up, he refocuses his byakugan and quickly reacquires the sentry, who was now running for the downstairs probably to alert the first floor sentry, Renji would assume. Seeing this Renji would begin to run through the maze of the second floor. Being that the maze had shifted, he did not have any pre knowledge of this lay out and would have to focus his byakugan on finding the correct path out, and hope that the sentry was not on him, as he could not pay attention to them as well.

Renji would find and make his way to the stairs in about five minutes or so, only getting lost twice,  one of which times was to check on the status of the two sentries that where now on the second floor looking for him. The cover of the darkness would help Renji out as the two sentries would have to check every corner of every room  effectively giving Renji some more time to circumvent this floor of the maze and even a bit of the next floor.

Now on the third and final floor, Renji could feel it in the air, all he had to do was get this scroll and he would be one step closer towards advancing in his ninja career. Renji was still trying his hardest to be cautious tho as he knew that there still loomed one more sentry who looked like she was way stronger than the other two,  plus Renji knew that it would not be long before the other two figured out that he had made it upstairs and was no longer on the second floor. Through his byakugan he would quickly locate the female sentry that was on this floor. He would barely find her a few rooms over sticking to the shadows. she was also trying to suppress her chakra, but she must have been still working on the skill as Renji was still able to pick up residuals of her chakra signature, though he would duly note this, and tries to do the same with his own chakra. As he begins lowering his chakra he would feel his byakugan slowly fade (?) And decides to continue using his byakugan.

It would not take Renji very long to get a basic layout of the third and final floor, and he begins trekking through the maze. As he makes a left turn, he would notice as the sentry makes a corresponding turn a few hallways over. Making another turn, Renji notices again as the sentry again makes a similar turn that puts her on a collision course with Renji in a few more hallways if he did no do something about it. Seeing that she must have noticed also when the glass broke, Renji realizes that he is going to have to get past her some how. Through his 360 vision, he would see as the first floor sentry ( the younger more fit of the two) makes it upstairs, almost as if the three are using some type of telepathy method to keep in contact. Seeing that he would be cornered shortly, Renji ducks into a room with two entrances on either wall and a few desk and random bookshelf and furniture throughout the room.

Once in the room, renji would duck underneath the desk in hopes of hiding out from the two sentries that now occupied the third floor with Renji. While he is under the desk, Renji would become curious as to where could the other sentry possibly be. Through his byakugan renji would scan the second floor looking for the man. While Renji is doing this the other two sentries are search in the rooms near the room that Renji is hiding in.

At this point the only thing standing between renji and the room that contained the scroll was the female sentry soon to come through the door on his left hand side. The other sentry was looking through the rooms that Renji had already passed when he first got up here and through his byakugan renji would see the chubby sentry from the second floor just now making it to the bottom of the stairs dying from exhaustion, he is sweating profusely and gasping for air, he clearly looked to be In bad shape “probably ate to much to fast and ran to soon after.” Renji thinks to himself as he snickers while he is still hiding under the desk.

With only a few moments to spare before the female sentry comes in the room, renji would quickly turn back serious and preforms the hand seals for the transformation jutsu, transforming into the chubby sentry from the second floor. Next Renji would activate his mist servant jutsu, creating an illusion clone of him transformed as the chubby sentry. Renji would create the mist servant in the door way to his right hand side so that the female sentry would see it when she walks through the door on the left hand side of the room and also so that the younger sentry would see it as he was approaching the door on the right hand side of the room but coming from the direction of the stairs.

Upon seeing the mist servant walking creepy and eerie the female sentry would call to him asking if he’s ok(she would assume that being he was moving this way due to exhaustion). At the same time the younger sentry would call out to him asking if he ate to much again(the darkness helping the illusion seem more believable). The mist servant would then begin walking down the hall towards the younger sentry in an attempt to swipe at him. While the female sentry would give chase, yelling insults at the chubby mist servant as she passes by Renji’s hiding spot with out even noticing the young shinobi. While this is happening, Renji is mapping out the rest of the third floor while he lays there.

As soon as Renji sees the female sentry disappear through the door way, he would immediately jump up and runs for the door that the woman had come in through.  He knew that at this point all he had to do was make it to the scroll, it did not matter if they knew that an intruder was in the building at this point. All that mattered was getting to the scroll and it would all be over is what he would tell himself in order to muster up enough motivation to make the last push towards the light at the end of the tunnel.

Just as Renji is just getting out of the room, the mist servant would disappear because Renji was out of range. Realizing that she had been duped, the female sentry would curse aloud and begins running back towards the scroll room, she would be completely pissed off with herself and was visibly upset.

Now Renji was only one room and a long hallway away from the scroll room. As Renji turns to run down the last hallway, he would not need his byakugan to tell him that the female sentry was closing in on him. Clearly faster than Renji she would step into the room just as Renji enters the hallway missing catching the young shinobi by a few seconds. Knowing that she would spot him before he gets to the door that was about 10 to 15 meters away from him, Renji would make the Ram hand seal and activating his body flicker jutsu, Renji would in a blur of speed end up at the door holding the handle with more then enough time to open it and make it inside before the female sentry is able to enter the hallway and catch Renji.

Once Renji is inside of the barrier covered room, he would grab hold of the scroll sitting right in from of him, the only thing inside of this room. As he picks up the scroll, the door would lock behind him indicating that he had completed his first trial of his chunin exam.  The lights would come on instantly, almost as if his cutting of the wires had no affect on the building. At that exact moment the building would begin to disappear into the ground around him.

Looking on in shock and awe, Renji would not know what he had just seen. Once the building had completely disappeared, Renji would see standing in front of him the old man who had started him out on this mission , behind the old man would be the three sentries from the building. The younger sentry would have a smile on his face while the chubby one would be eating his chips and gives Renji a thumbs up, the female Sentry would turn her face up towards Renji, still clearly upset that the young genin had bested her. The old man would look to have a pleased look on his face.

Handing the scroll over towards the old man, Renji would turn to walk to his tree to gather his belongings and heads home to get a decent sleep.
