Strolling with a baby (Open)

Senshi blinked boredly as he stated at the two new parents before him. He hadn't really expected them to take him up on his offer with their new born, but as they were actively involved in the set up of the celebration it appeared that they needed someone to baby sit. That they thought he the savage looking giant was the best for that was a little odd. With a shrug he had accepted, and now he found himself walking in his relaxed training clothes. The red wraps and dark brown haori making him appear at least slightly less threatening than he did with all the armor. His weapons were in their usual Place the only new thing was the baby carrier back pack thing strapped to him. The young baby girl strapped in it as he walked calming a bottle in one hand as he fed her while they walked. He figured he himself
Should find food before he decided to conduct some training. T was important that even here he maintain his skills. Especially here.

As he strolled through the village he was slightly weirded out by the looks of scorn and disgust the common people were giving him. He didn't notice that it was the head band, tied sideways to his head, that was drawing the actual looks. Shrugging it off he finally stopped at a sushi cart ordering several rolls before taking t and heading off to what appeared to be a small park in the area. He found a clear area with not many around, sitting down he smiled down at the baby before performing some hand seals. His chakra spiked and a moment later one of his trusty Flamingo summons appeared next to him. Hijoshikina squeaked happily and Senshi felt the small bird alight on his shoulder talking nonsense down to the baby girl that he carried. Quickly polishing off his sushi, he decided to entertain the baby as she seemed to respond positively to his chakra.

In Kumo it was generally accepted that people would flare their chakra within the village. So it didn't occur to him that it might be a bad idea to do it here. He released the strangle hold he normally held on his chakra and the baby giggled up at him. With a small smile on his face he used the display of power ability the form a flamingo enshrouding him as his dark grayish chakra flared it around him engulfing him and the baby in a moments notice. The peals of giggling baby laughter echoed out as the people around him froze in abject horror at the shinobi releasing the massive amount of chakra around them. Senshi didn't even notice their frozen horror as he cheerfully wiggled his fingers in front of the babies face before lifting her out of the carrier and holding him in front of himself. 

He made an odd face at her causing more gurgling laughter and that was when the first scream echoed out and several of the civilians took off running. Senshi failed to notice this as he bounced the baby he held in his arms and his flamingo summon did odd dances on his shoulder to assist in entertaining the baby.

Senshi grinned shyly at the baby using his chakra to stick her to his left hand while his right came around wiggling in front of her face. Manipulating his chakra it suddenly jumped out causing small bolts of lightning to jump around his hand. As the little girl reached for it Senshi drew back his hand quickly continuing to wiggle his fingers and cause a small crackling sound and smell of ozone to come off his hand. The baby gurgled again reaching for his hand as she released one of her little new born laughs. He switched his chakra around as out of the corner of his eye he noticed one of the people who had been glaring at him or throwing disdainful looks lift a rock.

His chakra spiked dangerously as Hijoshikina jumped suddenly from his shoulder to the top of his head squaking as he perked himself up. The flamingo was standing with one wing lifted up along with one of his legs. Senshi's wind chakra reached out ready to destroy the rock if it was thrown, but it was to Senshi's surprise that some overly muscled behemoth of a man stepped up next to his would be attacked. Seeing that the man was handling whatever that guys problem was Senshi went back to ignoring them instead changing the cutting nature of his wind chakra to a small breeze that he blew on the baby's face. Earning another gurgling giggle for his efforts he gave a smile before stopping what he was doing and releasing the chakra he was using to stick the baby to his hand.

The baby immediately affected by gravity began to fall but after a short few inches Senshi caught he, balancing her on his hand he grinned again as he moved his hand slowly around causing the baby to wobble and gurgle in delight as she reached out to touch the chakra that had formed a flamingo around him. It was at this point that Senshi looked up again surprised to have the man who interrupted the grumpy civilian standing over him. Feeling vaguely threatened the Jounin directed the full force of his display of power at the man, the flamingo solidifying over him as Senshi rose to his feet his gaze narrowing as he brought the baby closer to his body, a clearly protective and defensive action on his part.

It didn't occur to Senshi how ridiculous he must have looked. A six foot seven, heavily muscled, severely burned, scar across the face, digger beard, and roughy hair cut of a man standing with several openly displayed swords, including the incredibly large and heavy Gureto on his back, sealing scrolls around his waist, with a Babi carrier backpack, bright pink strapped to his chest and a baby in his arms. Oh and let's not forget Hijoshikina with his bright neon blue and green feathers nestled in his hair suddenly squeaking angirly at the man that had approached them. Senshi spoke lowly to Hijoshikina, before kyosuke could say anything. "Shush for now." The bird grumbled on his head reaching out his wings and fluffing Senshi's hair but clearly being careful not to disturb the headband he wore sideways across his head.

At the words that were uttered Senshi felt his back straight and every muscle in his body tighten. The wraps that were tightly bound around his body moved showing off the fact that he was prepared to
Move in a moments notice. His already suspicious gaze increased before he locked down his emotions and was suddenly staring passively at the man in front of him. Several Moments later his aura receded into his body his chakra signature quickly disappearing until he was a black hole to any chakra sensory abilities. As this was happening he quickly strapped the baby back into the carrier his hand twisting awkwardly so that a small pacifier fell into his hand from the confines of his single sleev.

The baby had begun to make fussy noises as though she were about to cry the instant he had receded his aura and now as Senshi spoke giving a slight and shallow bow to the man he was inserting the pacifier into the babies mouth silencing her attempts to cry for the moment. Kobayashi Senshi, Jounin, Kumogakure." Senshi paused before grounding out the next words, they were allies and that meant he showed them a certain level of respect. As this was a Deputy Kage that meant that he held the same position as Maku and thus was of a lordly level in Senshi's book. Common courtesy took over and he continued speaking, "Your village is... peaceful Sir." Senshi not being one for small talk and it clearly being an awkward compliment issued a glance around clearly noting the looks of scorn from those around him and the man who'd been thrown in rubbish. 

His hand reached up stroking the babies head carefully and wiggling his fingers at her face allowing her to capture one in her small hand as he stated at the Deputy kage. His eyes and senses remained trained on the man before him, muscles tense and chakra surpressed. His hands were close together ready to form a ram seal to move away from the man in a body flicker so that he could protect the baby he held better by putting distance between them. He knew he was at a distinct disadvantage since he needed to protect the baby if this man decided to get violent. It was luck that he had summoned Hijoshikina who could get the baby to safety if need be. He had not bothered to mention to this man that he was the General that had brought the army here st Maku's request. It wasn't something he felt needed mentioning as Maku was in charge here not him.

Senshi wasn't trying to scare the man, so much as he was issuing a warning that he did not wish to be bothered. It was common practice in Kumo to use your chakra to warn others off from socializing should you not wish to deal with them. It was why Chakra sensory was so common, so that others knew not to bother them. Senshi had assumed that things would be the same everywhere he went. His general knowledge of how to act and conduct himself in a foreign land was completely nil. He had never left the Land of Lightning and thus it did not occur that laws and customs would be different. Especially something so different as what Hoshi was compared to Kumo. His natural respect for authority however won out when he released his aura. It wouldn't be right to warn off the deputy kage of the village that they were visiting. It would not only be rude, but also the literal height of disrespect since they were now supposedly allies.

When he started laughing at Senshi's attempt at a compliment a slight blush of embaressment appeared on his cheeks before he willed it down. His head cocked to the side in confusion, the baby in the carrier mimicked the action, gurgling cutely as she did so. Senshi righted his head, willing down the urge to ask what had been so funny. He was not a joking sort, and could not recall anyone ever having that reaction to something he had said before. The clear awkwardness that Senshi exhumed, made it clear that he did not understand the social interaction that had just happened. As the man mentioned the odd looks, Senshi's eyes darted around quickly, before landing back on the other giant, muscley man of doom before him. It was indeed different from the looks he would have received in Kumo, but Senshi had attributed it more to the fact that he was a foreigner and looked odd with a baby. Nothing else really occurred as to why the looks were being directed his way.

Once Kyosuke had fully explained, Senshi gave him one long slow blink of utter confusion before speaking. His tone, oddly hesitant, yet still respectful despite the clear confusion. "Devil's? I assume this is a negative term. Why would your people think Chakra is unnatural? It is the very essence of life, everything is imbibed with chakra even if not everything can externally utilize it." Senshi paused, realizing that he had not acknowledged the request, that was more of an order in his mind. Kage's did not make requests or ask their Shinobi to do something. They told them, Senshi merely assumed the man was being polite in phrasing it as a request. "We will of course comply and not harm any of your people." He paused again as it occurred to him, that if this was so different from Kumo than there was probably other laws here that were different. He wondered why Lady Akihana had not addressed this issue when they had arrived.

"I apologize, but Lady Akihana did not address any concerns as to the differences in laws between our villages. My people will not know if they are violating a custom or law. Is there any other issues that may arise that I should ensure that we follow. We are the guests of your village sir, we understand that this is your land and during our temporary stay we would not wish to cause offense." Senshi hoped that his words were worded well enough to be not only diplomatic but convey that the Kumo contingent was willing to follow the laws of the place they were visiting and not looking to cause trouble. He assumed that, this was what the Raikage and Lady Akihana would want of them.

“Well Hoshigakure as one would think is the Village hidden in the Stars, however it actually means the village hidden within Hoshi. This place was not a ninja village at one point in time. It was a lawless place where those who could manipulate chakra were killed, before a group of people sought to change this. The most influential being the royalty of this city.” Kyousuke knew that wouldn’t offer up a good explanation on devils, but he did wish to add context.
 
“A devil is a type of monster. One of the most feared and reviled. To be seen as one is not a good feeling.” The man would say looking around at the faces who clearly saw him as a devil. “I agree with you, chakra is in every being. However, it cannot be used by every being. To normal people chakra is something that cannot be understood and things that we can’t understand usually terrify us. In their fear of chakra they classify us as something out of this world to explain it better to themselves.”
 

Wow, this one is awfully polite. Kyousuke would think. “Thank you. If anyone seems to be giving you trouble, feel free to come to my office in the palace.”  Kyousuke  would then walk away more resolved than ever to return to Kumo and put an end to Youka’s tyranny.

Well thst had been interesting at least he had learned some new things. As the man started walking away Senshi activated his telepathy seal and spoke to he rest of the shinobi. "I just met the Depty Kage of Hoshi, he informed me that the civilians consider chakra users devils, and that we should refrain from using chakra in their presence." With that done Senshi turned also walking away, going back to entertaining the child strapped to his chest.
