Grow with your tasks (p, Xuba)

It was a nice and sunny day Sanae would see her father one last time. The open coffin showed the neatly arranged face of the man. He had been given his favourite Yukata to wear on this occasion. White flowers where covering the area around it and his daughter had carefully placed some snowbells into his hands. Last parting words where whispered before she sat down in line with his closest friends consisting of his teammates Harani and Takeshi, their former Sensei an old Shinobi who had already retired because of several wounds as not even able to walk on his own sitting in a wheel chair. He went by Matsuda Suo and Sanae had only seen him once, yet he seemed to know much about her as he was talking to her telling her of his condolences and what a resemblance she bore to her father's interests. She had also made a place for Xuba to be there and reserved two others, but they had stayed empty. Still he hall was full. Out of respect or maybe out of pity?
She could see Satoru and his family sitting in one of the rows more up front. In the ones further behind there was the lady she frequently helped distributing the charity gifts. Man Shibobi his age had come, because they knew him from school, because they had been on missions with him.

One especially angry man who had do be restrained by his team mates declared to be his best rival and that they had always disputed what was the better alternative. A strong offence or defence and apparently this had gone one between them since academy days. He also was one of the people who cried the most. Over the course of many years it seemed the hate they deemed to have for each other had grown in a strange friendship on which both had grown, but now one side of it was gone. Still the speech he held was full of passion and described an amazing man, strong as a wall and true to what he believed even when others doubted him. Although Sanae had not heard of most of the people in that hall that day one thing was astounding, they all had heard of her. Reassuring her today with each time they talked to her, that her father saw her as his greatest achievement. That being a father, her father had been the thing he was always the proudest of.

Slowly she watched his coffin descent down into the hole they had prepared and then the shower of flowers that where tossed in after him. Once again she looked around the two people who were missing could be nowhere to be found which was when she decided to eradicate them from here mind entirely. She stayed and waited till the hole was neatly closed and everything was set in order. Slowly she would place down a colourful bundle of flowers and a candle she would light. After that she would leave with the ones that had been waiting with her.

"If you ever need something or don't feel up to the task at hand or just a meal, step by our house anytime", she could hear Sasato say and she gave him a small smile and a nod. He was a good friend and she knew he was worried about her since he as well had just recently become a father and now saw a child in front of him without any family. Although he knew she was strong his instincts where to protect her and that was good. His wife was a wonderful cook there was no reason to not take them up on that offer. While she was thinking she could feel two arms wrap around her, one left and one right.
Her father's teammates had engulfed her cuddling her out of the blue. She was startled by this but adjusted fast. "If you ever feel lonely or depressed, or alone or just want to talk or whatever, we'll also be there since you are going to be our child's godmother soon prepare to be invited to every occasion there is", Harani said lightly joking to ease the mood and Sanae smiled at her in return. "Thank you, I'll gladly take you both up upon that offer", she would brace both with a kiss to the cheek but there was no time dwelling in those matters there because she had an appointment waiting at home so after they had taken her there they would leave her at that.

In the family's home there was someone waiting going by the name of Minamoto Asaki, the lawyer her father had entrusted his last will to and he was now there to discuss the things inside it with the young lady of the house. While they sat down in the living room with tea and the wish not to be disturbed outside two people were closing in that now where not really welcome anymore. The bell would ring outside the gate there were standing two figures one pushing a cart in front. Sanae would sigh and call out to Xuba: "Tatsuma can you get that please I am busy!"

If he would go out and answer the gate he would find two people standing there with a baby cart beside them. Kohaku the younger brother of the man who had just passed away, beside his own wife, Natsumi the woman who was indeed mother to Sanae and in the cart would be Sanaes half sister Mina, sleeping soundly as they waited to be welcomed.

xuba having quietly watched over the whole ordeal like a silent guardian and at times in the kitchen to prepare food. He had not seen to it that there was anyone one particularly at the guest list. sanae had not really brought up much to the man in question. yet he faithfully remained focused outside the door as sanae had  asked her request. xuba eyed the front door quietly as he would reply

"right away sanae"

He  nodded his head and headed out the front door to the gate. it seemed as if some people had a bad habit of timing his hair having grown out and now in a black pony tail slightly as a grey goatee also sported his face. xuba appeared to the guest sporting a stylish black suit of gold buttons and  clearly black pants as well as dress shoes. a style he would dome for the time being looking like this as he fixed his white gloves as opposed to his usual bare hands. 




xubas grey eyes gazed over the newcomers quietly as he noted them. in a solemn voice xuba would address the male and woman. 

"welcome how can i help you? the funeral is over, and may suichiro rest in peace"

"Thank you!", she called out turning to the layer once more. "So, your father made sure that the house he had inherited from his father now belongs to you his only child. Along with his life savings which is a significant amount of ryo that should quite alright enable you to live off if you wanted but you would need to have a grown up preside over it until you are eighteen of age. You are a Shinobi this is why your judgement is good enough to let you either name a person of trust to have me exam about it or choose one of the list your father provided", he would put down a piece of paper for her to read. While she would skim it he would then present her with another option: "Or you would take these", he would hand her a box with five pills inside. "Your body would age one year for one pill you take, making you at least old enough to stand on your own without a care taker which I would agree you could do."[/b][/color] She would look at the box in front of her and nod shortly: "I will think of it for a moment", she would slowly say, but he would assure her, that she had every time she wanted.

In front of the door Xuba was received with the two of them looking a little irritated: "Who are you?", the man would look at him up and down. "What are you doing in my family home?" The woman raised her eyebrows: "Would sound like Suichrio to seek out a butler or something to pick up behind him", she would roll her eyes and demand to be let through.

xuba as the man eyed him up and down  simply eyed the man having done his size up as well. the grey eyes were loke search lights on the male and female as they demanded his identification. Hence he with  ease lifted a hand as the lady addressed. It was sort of correct yet with a clear voice yet low to not disturb the meeting his voice simply resonated both grief and duty he had resounded this throughout the whole thing quietly to prevent the explosion from greif and rage. sorrow..

" I was assisting suichiro and sanae. i still am assisting them. they helped me and now... ill help them. At the moment sanae is busy with a few things and she will not be disturbed. for the young one and yourselves  there will not be anything to interrupt her. She lost her father, you sir lost a brother, this will hurt, and business os quick. but i will not tolerate the drama that may otherwise break apart the shaky foundations that may occur. please understand this."

xuba stated as he held his hand up with the lady's demands. his note of this and the urgency with the lady trying to order him aside. yet xuba did not stand for it. taking an relaxed  stance as he  casually now stood between the two and the door. several feet between the pair as he then took an asertive stance and looked both in the eye.

"please respect this. i must have your word that neither of you will cause any disruptions in this time and pacteintly wait till sanae is ready to see you."

xuba reasoned as it was necessary, the two cared he knew. but if he had to he would throw them out should they cause a uproar amid the day of mourning.

the death of others should be a day to recall the deeds of the lost. Not bring in trivial matters to light and cause fighting among ourselves. so please i am hoping at least they can let this day be at least.




xuba thought as he awaited the two to take his words into consideration.

She would open the box and look at the pills inside hit and then look at the lawyer for a moment. "I will go upstairs for a brief moment, don't worry, I will be back shortly", she said and stood up from the table. He would nod at her: "Take your time Sanae, I'll be waiting down here." With an approving nod she would rise from her seat to then leave the living room walking upstairs in her father's room where she took out one of his Kimonos and looked at it. It was plain but beautifully forged with tight stitching and lively colours. She remembered him wearing it on several occasions. Slowly she would open the box and start taking the pills. She was not sure if it was wise to take them all at once so suddenly, maybe she should have read the instructions inside the box to take them in for all she knew but no she did not feel like that at all. Soon her body would feel a certain rush to it, her bones aching as they began to grow her body twisting as it tried to adjust to the changes she was to undergo. With a faint sound she would drop onto the mats of his room and twitch in pain as the pills took their action.

While this happened out in front of the gate her uncle would nod to Xuba: "Sure sir we will not disrupt whatever meeting is held." He would assure him as the both of them looked into the garden behind Xuba. "See my vegetables are still there and there is so much space left, maybe a swing here and a sand box there it will be great", the woman said pointing to a free edge of green. "This house will once again be filled with laughter." She seemed certain of it.

As the lady spoke up xuba opend the gate yet only allowed them to not rush past him  but walked an even pace. His defensive demeanor relaxed but he was certain it was not to be taken advantage of.

"The garden is gorgeous. He watched sanae practice a technique, i would say even in his las hours he held her close and dear, granting her a gift not many shinobi recive. Such a gentle man despite his tough nature. Just i left to run an errand for the pair, a gift i helped forge as a thank you. Sanae saw it, but when she went to show him..."

Xuba took a breath as a teary eye kept the memory of the man.

"Yeah... who is the young one in the stroller?"

Xuba asked both the male and female offering a bow of respect after all it is the youngest of their family and hence a rising face in the world.

Slowly those two would follow Xuba through the garden as he was talking about the day when Suichiro died both not really paying attention to his words or such. Their eyes trailing over the garden and then back to the house as Kohaku would point to the roof: "See he fixed the leak, impressive and there the stone path is quite good in shape." She would nod once more and then look at Xuba: "This is Mina our daughter." She would introduce the little one currently sleeping soundly inside the cart. As they were getting to the door Kohaku would get ahead of Xuba and open the door for her to go in and as she entered she would call out: "Sanae! We're home!" Just as if they had just gone for a stroll and returned from it.

As this would go on Sanae would suffer the consequences of her rash actions as her limbs stretched and she would bite down on her clothes to not make any sound. After some moments had passed by she would get up on her now terribly skinny legs. Her body needed to adjust to growth and therefore now was skinny as if she had been submitted to hunger for quite a while. She felt mal nourished and kind of week to be honest. With shaky hands she put on the Yukata of her father. Still a little too big but fitting better than her own clothes. So after she had put that on and cut her hair to a length where she would not step on it she could hear the faint call from down stairs and slowly started to move towards downstairs.

the pair showed the least ammount of interest to his statements, which clarified their intentions as they focused more on the house then the issue at hand, yet he refrained from bringing this up. After all the funeral and a day of mourning was not a day to start on a bad note. the girl lost her father so it was not in his job to set another in his place. the door opend with the man as the two walked in and declared their arrival. xuba fixed his white gloves and folded the sleeves of his suit jacket and fixed his tie as he approached. the sound of foot steps upstairs caught his attention mid fixing the tie.

"sanae? is everything allright?"

xuba called up the stairs as he glanced at the door and held his arm out to the man and woman to stay back for a moment as hetuned his senses quietly and listens. 

she mustve needed a moment to compose herself.


"would you like me to come upstairs for a moment sanae?"

xuba offered as he stood by the stair and waited for her consent blessing to come up the stairs.

Sanae was slow as she made her way towards the stairs on her now so fragile legs that had been slimmed down by a landslide and as she hear Xuba calling she would return the call: "I'll be done in a moment! I am alright!", she would add to not concern him and then climb down the stairs carefully while Xuba was holding back her folks down stairs. They did not seem too content with that but as Sanae came into view they seemed a little shocked. Well if she did not know what her condition had been made of she would have been shocked as well, but this was only logical, wasn't it?
The now tall grown but skinny Kaguya looked at her family and the loyal friend that awaited her at the bottom of the stairs and wrapped into the Yukata of her father, the long hair flowing over her shoulders as her glare was almost icy as she would see whom she had before her and her glare would be returned with shock as if they did not have expected that from her. "What are you disloyal creeps doing here in the middle of the day?", her voice a little dry as she would slide over the floor towards them almost like a ghost floating towards them.

"We have come to get back home, we will be a family again just like we did when you were small, isn't that great honey?", her mother would say her voice shaking a little because she knew that this was not the greatest suggestion she could have made right here and right now. Sanae herself would squint her eyes a little: "The only person I would allow to stay here is that baby of yours because it did not choose the betrayal it just lives with parents who abandoned their family because it was more convenient to them. You don't get to choose when you feel like being part of this family because I will exclude you from it, I don't want you anymore." Her voice would have something bitter something angry.
"But I am your mother", she would take a step back from her and look a little bit more shocked. "You left me, because of what the people said, you wanted to go somewhere else because you were scared. You left my father because he went missing! You are foul and despicable and I would not want you around anymore ever. I have cried tears over this I have spent nights asking why. Why my mother would just out of the blue leave me because I do what I believe in! Because I do what I was born to do!"
Now Kohaku would step into the path of his roaring niece: "Calm down Sanae my brother wouldn't have wanted you to...", but she cut him off with a grunt, "Don't you dare to speak in his name! You and this fine woman calling herself my mother did not even attend his funeral! I want you gone from this house!" The Teen would not back down from her decision.
