Sparring, Kari Vs Love [NK, P, ask for invite]

The training grounds, a place were young ninja could hone their basic skills and further advance their ninja arts. Today, that ninja would be none other than Kari. Packing a simple white cloak with a silver zipper and a star headband plate locking the zipper in place, bandages around her chest, a comfortable plum color t-shirt with a winking face, and a pair of shorts which come to her thighs underneath. Her hair was tide up into a bun in order to minimize it getting in her way. Today was going to be more physical so she even packed a white headband with the words "Kitty Rawr" and a paw at the end. She hoped it would give her more personality if someone saw her despite nobody being around.

She was ready. Her pockets were armed with the most deadly of rocks she found on the ground. The dummies were staring mendaciously at her with the paper faces Kari attached to their face. She stared at the cartoonist simple design. She mimicked it furring brow and puffing her cheeks while trying to growl. 
"The dummy seems more angry than me." 

She took a deep breath and let her face reset and walked away. Then she emptied her pockets and watched as all the rocks scattered on the ground. The rocks were more like pebbles but the idea would be simple. one chakra string fell from her index finger and linked to a pebble. She then twitched her finger and the rock flew at the dummy, skimming its head and landing on the ground behind it. Then she shifted her hand and the rock jump to the left, curving her thread around the dummies neck. 
"Final Act: Tragedy ... Ka CHINNN"

However she did not activate her jutsu. Her goal was setting up for her jutsu. Without a puppet she knew she would have to some how set up her final act. She pulled back her string and the rock flew back into her hand. She dropped it and then twitched her fingers. The rock darted to the dummy on the other side of the field. She twitched her finger but she reacted too early. The rock flew pass the dummies face onto the ground. Another series of finger twitches pulled the rock back to her hand. Then she dropped it on the ground. The cycled continued.

After a dozen more attempts, Kari had a obtain an acceptable amount of precision. At worst she would clip the dummy in the back of the head area but that did not matter. The Final Act was complete. She stated the name and added the sound effect. The dummy was dead, had they been alive and Kari actually use her jutsu. Now that she had the timing down, she needed to work on controlling multiple rocks. She had 20 rocks on the ground and 5 dummies.  The show had began.

Since she had been given permission to wander, not that she wouldn't have had the ability not been offered, Love found her way to the training ground of Hoshigakure. It was placed inside of a lovely water garden, it would be perfect for those with the affinity as they wouldn't have to put in extra work to create their own water source. The place was rather peaceful and quiet however the round off rocks rumbling around attracted Love's attention. In the middle of an open space surrounded by training dummies was a tiny little red haired girl. The scene made Love reminiscent of her childhood although this child was using a technique she wasn't familiar with. Of course, she'd learned about it in the academy but there weren't many people in Konoha that utilized it. For now, the older red haired kunoichi would simply watch the younger one train. If the girl spoke first or even looked at Love she would wave and introduce herself is she wasn't blown off. However, if the latter did happen she would simply train herself and let the girl be.

Kari raised her hands into fist, lifting the rocks into the air. Her hands shifted into complex positions commanding each rock to dart towards one of the five dummies. Judging the time it took the rocks to travel, she each finger one at a time signaling the rocks to dart behind the dummies head and wrap her string around the dummies necks. Four fingers in however, she lost track of which rock was controlled by which string. Rocks now were flying in random directions pelting against walls, dummies, and one even came back to peg Kari in the head. However, her ninja reflexes allowed her to dodge by bending backwards. Little did she know that her performance had an audience.
 
As her head jerked back, Kari noticed a red hair girl with white eyes. With no time to think, she clenched her fist pulling back all the rocks including the one heading for the girl. That particular rock found its way upside Kari forehead as she spun around to obtain better control of her balance. Shortly after, the other stones pummeled Kari, forcing her to fall to the ground. 
 
"Ouch," she muttered weakly.
She lied on the ground for a few seconds before sitting up. Blood rain down her cheek from under her headband. Finally, the danger was over. She had time to plan her next move, but what could that be. Her scenario involved nearly hurting a complete stranger, who was probably from another village given the weird trait of white eyes, by showing off her jutsu. Maybe this would be one of the time were staying quiet was the best form of action. Maybe the girl would just laugh and move on. At worst, she would ridicule the girl but that was nothing new.

As she monitored the child it appeared that she was in good control of her chakra threads that is until she wasn't. After making good progress in being able to control three threads simultaneously the girl lost control when she tried to move a fourth. When the rocks went flying Love already planned to move at the last second to avoid being hit but the girl had begun to retract all of them. In doing so she ended up smacking herself in the face with one and that caused her to further lose control and have the remaining three pelt her. Love made an "O" shape with her mouth, though no sound came out, before making her way over to the girl, she did so faster than the girl could see but not at full speed. It would appear as though she'd teleported and was now kneeling in front of the girl with her right hand on the girl's forehead where the blood was dripping from. The Hyuuga glowing hand would stop the bleed. "You okay?" She asked a few seconds later while removing her hand. "Sorry I didn't get here faster." She would add mentioning that she was fast enough to have gapped the distance and move the girl before she got hit. Hopefully, her pupilless white eyes didn't scare the girl, her own were red so the unusual color shouldn't be a problem although not knowing exactly where Love was looking probably was off-putting.

Love wasn't aware if there were any Hyuuga living in Hoshi but she did know that there was a man in possession of one who claimed to be from the village. Though it wouldn't be impossible especially since the previous clan leader Haru had moved to Kiri with his family. Love would wait for the girl's response to her question before helping her up in case she'd any other injuries. Once the two were standing again she'd introduce herself to the girl with her routine way of doing so. "I'm Love Sakumo but you can call me Ai-sama." That didn't matter to Love though she'd introduce herself that way until she became the clan head it was also fun to see how people react.

The girl did not go away. In fact, there was a similar looking girl right in front of Kari. It was as if she appeared out of thin air. Did the rock hit her so hard that she was hallucinating things? Then the illusion spoke, solidifying its presences in the physical world. It was a good sign, unless the person did not exist. It was probably safe to bank on prior. The girl placed her hand over her headband and the stinging feeling went away. 


Kari nodded in response to the girl's question, not wanting to speak yet. There was so little she knew about the stranger. The girl claimed she could have saved her but why would she. Had Kari better managed her threads, this would have never happened. Kari cancelled her threads and moved them to her forehead, removing the headband. It had bloodstains. Her mom would be upset if she found out. Kari took a deep breath only for the girl to offer a hand to help pick Kari up. Kari slowly raised her hand, allowing the girl to pull Kari off the ground.
 
Kari now had a better view of the girl's eyes. It appeared as if she had no pupils but if you focused closely, you could see the slight tint, which should be the iris. This was a special trait belonging to a certain clan. However, Kari just could not remember the name of them. Before she could think any longer, the girl introduced herself. This worried Kari. Who introduced themselves with the Sama suffix? It was a term used for Gods and Kings. This girl was neither, at least to Kari. 
"Kari Tsukami..." She responded slowly before giving a respectable bow, "Sorry, for the honor of my family. I cannot address you as Sama. Would Sempai be okay?"

Kari kept her head down. This girl truly was a mystery and had the girl really been nobility, Kari did not want to add any further disrespect to her family name. Her father was never happy when people reported Kari being disrespectful. It might be the one thing that makes him take a trip to the main Village. Maybe that would not be a bad thing though.

Love watched the girl remove her bloodstained headband before accepting her offer to help her up. When Love stated her name a look of concern washed over the face of the younger girl. Love smirked slightly while the girl returned the courtesy of giving her name. Her surname didn't ring any bells so she was further confused when the girl said for the honor of her family she couldn't call Love "sama". It was possible that she too had a last name that didn't match her family name but for now, Love would give the girl a nod along with a verbal confirmation that "senpai" was acceptable since she'd remained in a bow after saying her name. "Is the Tsukami clan noble here? Or do you not carry the name of your clan?" Love would ask the girl as she should return to an upright position. If she hadn't noticed before, on the way up she should note that the symbol on the metal plate Love wore around her waist was different from the one of this village. Love would once again wait for the girl's response before asking more questions and/or possibly answering some.

Kari raised her head, now that she had a proper way to address the girl. Lucky for Kari, the girl was not offend by her refusal. Despite this, Kari's aloof expression remained on her face, with her eyes half open and a neutral almost frown on her face. This was how her face looked 90 percent of the time when she was not faking an emotion.

 It did not take long for her blank stare to return to the girl's abnormal eyes. Upon seeing the leaf ensignia on her belt, it finally clicked. This was a Hyuuga trait. It gave them a powerful eye jutsu and taijustu. Besides those small things Kira could not recall anything else. There was one problem though. The girl's last name was not Hyuuga however. Was she an official member? That did not matter. 

Kari peeled her eyes off Love's eyes and turned to her headband. She needed to answer the girl's next question. After shaking her head, she opened her mouth behind her cloaks collar. Her voice was quiet, lacking energy or expressiveness. 
"My father owns a Inn by the same name. He believes holding honor in our name will bring more customers."

Kari wanted to change the topic, not wanting to give too much information to the forgien ninja. Instead she wanted to talk more about the possible Hyuuga. 
"You are from the Fire Country? Are you currently on vacation? What is the Fire Country like?"
Kari's turned her head back to the girl though she did not change her aloof expression.

"I see, well that is a good philosophy." She replied Love noticed that the girl was avoiding eye contact and trying to stay quiet. She was like a stray puppy that was reluctant to open up to its new owner. Although her time here would be brief Love wanted to try and help this girl. Ninja needed to be and ooze confidence especially kunoichi, however, given Hoshi's history it was possible that the girl was averse to training since it meant the people she grew up around would despise her. Love would keep that in mind, of course, when trying to help and possible training the girl. But before she attempted that there were some questions that needed answers. "Yes, I am from the Land of Fire. No, I'm not on vacation. I have official business here." She would say firmly, not in a harsh or mean way but in a "grown-up" tone.

"The Fire Country is full of forests, bright and warm weather. Within our village at the base of a mountain is a formation known as the Hokage Rock, which has the faces of all those who have taken the office of Hokage engraved on it." She would say rather brightly herself. "Maybe one day when you're older and have a high rank you can visit." She added hopefully conveying to the girl that she had no intentions of harming her or trying to steal information on Hoshi. Even if she remained reticent seeing her relax her posture would be good enough for Love.

Kari remained calm nearly motionless as the Leaf ninja dived through her questions. One after another, the answers came out like a teacher giving a lecture. She had heard stories about the mountain but to think it was true. Who would want their face on a giant piece of rock? What made it special? It was all interesting. 

Another comment was that caught Kari's attention was the one about her age and rank. The girl, despite how mature she was, was no adult. Kari doubted she was even above 18. Maybe she was just trying to act cool? She did wish to be addressed as Sama so maybe the girl had a ego? All of these thoughts swelled inside of Kari's head, preventing her from properly responding. With all the mental strength she could muster up, Kari managed to break through her verbal drought and continued the conversation.

"High...er Rank." 

It was something she thought about. It was part of the reason she trained. But at this time, it was far from within reach. She was a puppeteer without a puppet. It was alike being an archer without a bow or a blacksmith without hammers. She would be considered useless and would easily lose a fight should someone confront her. That is why she trains. 

"Sorry... I need to return to my drills." 

Kari pulled the headband over her head and started picking up her rocks. If she was going to get out into the world, she would need to be a better Kunoichi after all.

Kari remained silent and emotionless as Love answered her questions which is ok though odd. Perhaps it was just her personality? That's certainly what Love would think when the girl mumbled "higher rank" it was like a robot trying to understand something second nature to humans. Or even a bot remembering what its purpose is after getting sidetracked. When the girl said that she had to return to her training Love was disappointed, the girl didn't even sound happy about it. The Hyuuga's eyes simply watched the girl as she put her headband back on and collected the rocks. "You'll get better faster if you have someone to train with. I only know one kugujutsu, but I can help you get faster and stronger if you let me." She told the girl trying to convey that it was not an issue for Love to do so. It should also make it obvious that she didn't have anything else to do that day, though as before if the girl were to decline the offer Love would work on herself.

She did have a genjutsu she needed to put the finishing touches on and even though she was now capable of making a corporeal clone she wanted another outside opinion on the tech. There were also a few jutsu that she could improve her control over and master but she hadn't yet decided which ones those should be and deliberating could take quite some time. Maybe if this girl did decline her Love would go and find Rei so she could spar with a fellow Hyuuga.
