When Lightning Strikes A Tree

Since Alice decided to tap into the speed force she was about to stab the red haired male when Ryal was prepairing his attack. This also meant the red head didn't have time to cast his jutsu however in the event that Alice's actions were void the slow pillar (20 speed) would not save the daimyo and his sister from the 76 speed kunai. The two would also suffer concussions as they would be sloshed around while suddenly being dashed away without warning, not that it mattered since they had knives sticking out of their skulls. Following that 50 of the 100 insects surrounding the litter were attempting to attack Ryal, as Cho never stated how many bugs she kept around herself prior to her false alarm, therefore, it was not any of the 400/500 that were supposed to be congesting the area. Since they can't take blood and chakra at the same time and it also wasn't stated how many would be doing what all 50 would be trying to steal his chakra. Unfortunately for them he not only saw them coming but was on good terms with Yuumei, not to mention they're extremely frail. Also, he never got closer than 20 meters so the bugs weren't surrounding him and his dark pulse (20 power) was able to take them all out at once because they weren't attacking a blind spot. While the jutsu only moved at 25 speed it was able to travel 3 meters away from the male, therefore, the little pests were dead before they even got close to his skin.

Yet an annoying sticky jutsu had been released, it was set to consume all friend or foe. So should her attack fail Alice would be of more use using that speed to get Ryal out of range. It would also be a good idea to tell the others to stay back but since they didn't know the inner workings of this jutsu it was probably a better idea to leave rather than try to wait it out. Bummer but it didn't matter, their team forced the "protectors" to use their chakra and anyone else in the area, village associated or not, could come and have their sloppy seconds.

So many events all seeming to happen simultaneously, the chaos and confusion of battle clearly showing itself here today. It was a pity, to be honest, as such a thing was almost to be expected. An attack of this scale is bound to sow confusion in the ranks of both friend and foe, and in an instant everything seemed to change. Taishi was under where the grouping was, as he never moved to the carriage (since things didn’t go as explained in prior post). So he was resting 30 meters below the surface where “first contact” seemed to be made.
 
A massive chakra forces its way to the surface through the earth, Taishi can feel this and shifts his own position towards the tunneling dwarf who was moving a great deal faster than he had been. So while Yen moved up to where the pillar would be rising, Taishi would also be moving just a bit to a position to attack as he forms several hand seals (all proper for the next jutsu he would be using) whilst moving. Yen would make his way to the surface much too quickly for Taishi to catch him, but the Earth Shinobi would find himself a hair over 25 (25.2 meters to be exact) meters away from Yen diagonally, and 20 meters under the surface of the ground.
 
Taishi would then use the final seal right after Yen was spitting out the blob, causing a large swamp to begin forming less than a meter away from Yen’s position (roughly 0.33 meters) and form at a speed of 60 and spreading out to a range of 15 meters in diameter and 2 meters deep. Considering that Yen was looking at the distance his jutsu was covering and looking to the positions of where his allies were in regards to their own safety from his jutsu, Taishi would find it hard to believe the man would instantly notice the silent death of the swamp spreading at his feet. As soon as it made contact with him it would immediately start pulling him in with the full force of the jutsu, dragging him under as quickly as it could. Considering that the webs cannot effect their master, they likely won’t provide much support to help either, as they don’t impede the user in any way (“Excluding the user. as the user is immune to their own jutsu” – from Yens Web Jutsu) so one can’t imagine that that only applies some of the time and not others.
 
If all went according to plan, Yensung would find himself being sucked into the swamp and would soon find himself in a very bad predicament. Of course, when do things ever seem to go as planned?


Taishi would make his way away from where the swamp was forming, trying to regroup with the others. He would shift himself as fast as he could towards the surface, stopping a mere 6 meters from it once he reached where Ryal was, lurking under the ground to help his comrade should the need arise.

After her shadow clone had dispelled, the one that rushed the caravan, several things happened at once. The barrier seal placed on Alice’s body activated, her right hand moved to form a series of seals, and the remaining three shadow clones dispelled. Thanks to the information she gained from the first dispelled shadow clone and that immense boost to the Uchiha’s chakra, she had no intention of taking the enemy head on. It was just teeming with too many risks that the Nara couldn’t afford to take. By the time her seals were finished forming, however, Alice had already started closing the distance between herself and the target by moving parallel to the road through the dense forest a mere ten meters from it. Her movements drastically increased in speed before she had even made it more than two meters from her initial position.

By the time she had moved twenty-five meters closer through the forest, her right hand formed another single seal. With little effort, an immense mist began to spread out over the area covering fifty meters. The mist was so thick that no one could see more than half a meter in front of them! Unfortunately that also included Alice and her teammates, but the girl hoped it wouldn’t cause too much harm to their side.

She kept track of how far she traveled in relation to the caravan and it’s guards(leaf nin included), thanks to the information she had gleamed from the clone that she had charge the enemy. Thanks to this, the girl stopped safely once she was directly in line with the carriage which put her roughly fifteen meters away from it on her right. She quickly turned to face the carriage and waited silently as she strained the rest of her senses and focused her chakra sensory to determine all of the combatants locations. She wouldn’t want to be surprised.

Of course, all of this had occurred in a span of a few seconds, allowing her to be in place before Taishi’s swamp to take hold. Thanks to the mist she had created, it would be exceedingly hard for any of the enemies to react in time to save themselves from the earth user’s jutsu. Of course, alice wasn’t actually aware that it had been cast. She had just caught a lucky break in using her own water style to compliment the earth style of her subordinate.

Akane stood with her two kunai in hands, watching Alice closely while at the same time making certain her senses of her surroundings were not dulled, as she watched as Alice seemingly go a different direction away from Akane. She was thinking about what Alice might've been going for and whether or not she should give chase but before she could continue her thoughts on the matter she heard the warning from Yensung to "heads up." She didn't know exactly what he meant by that as she turned to look to Yen. That would be when she felt herself being lifted by multiple beetles away from the ground just as the ground got covered in a white substance that looked patterned exactly after a spider web. Her eyes tracked the webs as she could see a huge amount of chakra stemming from the webs almost like a steam... She was glad she didn't get caught in it as she looked over to her savior to see Cho looking over to another location. She had been given the ok to use the insects as she wished which kind of gave her a queasy feeling. She wasn't fond of insects and to have so many beetles crawling over her skin and making her fly made her stomach start doing backflips.

However her thoughts continued to be focused on her mission. It was her duty to make certain that the daimyo got out of this alive and she couldn't allow bugs to get in the way of her duties. Ignoring them her eyes trailed along the whole forest in order to see anything that she might want to do. Right now she knew that her focus had to remain on Alice as she was clearly the faster of the whole group and it seemed as though Akane was amongst the only ones that could keep up with her. As she floated there above the webs, taking in breaths of air to keep her Wind Rejuvenation jutsu going, she could see Alice making her way towards the position of the daimyo as Akane observed her actions with her Sharingan. It was clear by the strong and powerful looking color of chakra that Alice was surrounded in a barrier and that she was moving away from the webs. She had to make certain that the jutsu caught Alice along with taking down the barrier if she could. However there was also Roku to worry about as he was within her sights as well. So from her position she thought that it was time to make certain she put some pressure on the MN. She took her kunai just as Alice was starting to slowly be surrounded in mist as Akane took the kunai and planned a perfect trajectory with her Sharingan, making certain she would avoid trees along the way, as she threw the kunai to a certain spot until they reached 10 meters away from Alice’s position before bouncing off of each other to travel new paths. One would head straight towards Alice as the other would move straight for Roku before he was able to use his body flicker technique as both kunai were aimed and poised to hit each target directly in each ninja's head.

OOC:

Allegro would've vanished with the carriage in close to an instant avoiding the webs, just as the clang of two kunai seemed to have hit the chakra chains of his, one richoched into the carriage striking one of the carriage holders in the arm going cleanly through. But thanks to fortune, or fate  the kunai as the male and girl leaned back. The kunai would hurtle past them. The wind causing a slight cut on their foreheads as there was outrage. Only to find themselves over 100 meters from the mess. Thanks to allegro. The second kunai would've been buried deep into the carriage door making a deep split in the door.

Unfortunately for the lot of these mysterious assailants. It was a sticky situation. The lot except for the boy underground. Because he was wise to stay away. Were in for a very bad time. As yens exhuasting web hunter would still spread and move at that 150 speed, boasting a power of 175, and web hedlth being 150. As it would be done before the boy tanashi began to weave his,seal. All within the 100 meter radius sorrounding yen be it surface, of tree, rock, or shrub/bush was not safe. Save for akane, and cho whom were spared by the beetles hoisting them into the air, but barely

Those caught by exhausting web hunter would suffer 175 power blunt force crushing should it cover any part of their body. But should fortune shine on them they would only be stuck on the suface it would cover via their feet, or a limb stuck/ body part. While covered feet that may only be crushed by the webs. Just to be unable to move unless they had 175 strength. . As one shall soon find out the unfortunate truth.

The slick sneaky individual (rayal) while yes they threw a decisive throw. Lets just say that they were frozen in place before they knew it. Covered head to toe with webs unless miraculously saved. However through the instants before they wete covered. The direct pathways to reach the individual were blocked as well by a pathway of webbing. Only a fool, or yen would approach with such ease. Hence any cheeky body flicker motions by anyone but yen were for better words… unwise. This individuals fate same as any in the webs. Grim as the crushing of bones muscles and body form were not spared any quarter.  As attempting to hide behind a tree since they are all 10 meters in height would be pointless. The behinds and fronts to the sides as well as branches would be covered.

The Girl (Alice) who threw caution out the door. As she haplessly kept approaching even through the trees and using her mist. Would've found that amid her approaching the webs as they were omnidirectional in their spreading. Her approach would be foiled as the webs would close and cover her as she would be weaving the hand sign for hidden mist. Even in light of her foresight and attempting to move to save her allies would be damn near impossible. Since her line of sight would block her from a direct path to roku, or rayal. By trees and webs. While the carrige approach was all but pointless. Due to yen blocking the way via webs and the platform of earth covered.

The webs in this case would already have covered rayal by now.  Making this difficult for the girl (alice). Well with her blinding herself with the mist unless of course actions changed.  Although not aware of her nice collaboration. She would Suffer a vital fatal mistake. She never ran away. Just to approach the webbing mess. Which blocked her path to the carriage in the first place.  So her barrier would take a hit of 175 power, but she too was stuckunable to move due to the power of the web jutsu, her, weapons, arms and legs binded by the webbing. Requiring 175 strength to move even an arm making it all but impossible to weave seals. Her barrier however would spare her for  the moment as it was still holding (180-175= 5)... or would it???. Due to akane’s thrown kunai heading both towards herself and roku.

 Her options limited due to the circumstances of her allies. Truly a tight spot. As even if she had an escape. She would need a long range of escape. For she was within the 100 meter radius of yens web jutsu. Trees, ground, shrub, and rock all under a white mystery of sticky webby mess. As the area around herself was not spared.

Unless she had a sudden change of mind of course.

As for the one  boy in the distance(roku). Despite his best efforts. The webs would’ve covered him they would cover him as he would have unboosted himself. (Via ending the flicker movement jutsu) Just to boost himself, via soul expulsion,  and the webs would be upon him in close to an instant covering him before he could complete the seal for body flicker. He found himself captured by the webs before he would come close to even forming the “ram” seal. Then there was the kunai from akanel. As akane’s ricocheting kunai attack would possibly hit true. All in the hush of white webs he was buried suffering the pressure of 175 power blunt force crushing coming onto him a slow, but inevitable force. No bone, muscle, nor skin spared. Yet odds are he wouldn't die immediately like the rest. But possibly in a few posts give or take.

Each named individual trapped in pain, perhaps fear. As the mist from alice blinded them. While yens webs bound them. Locking them  In place. All unable to escape unless they had incredible strength to surpass the power. An ally unable to rend them free unless they too possessed great strength. A doomed expedition. Should they not have a reasonable escape.

As the webs were reaching the 50 meter radius sorrounding him.  Yen Would’ve completed his seals for a technique if none knew of his wide range web technique. Then the dream of knowing this technique was hopeless.

(dog, boar, ram, snake, rabbit, monkey) were completed. And since yen was standing on the webs the jutsu would spread through the entirety Of it.

At 140 speed. The unfortunate individuals caught in the mess of webs would find that their chakra was literally being drained. Robbed of the very force that enabled the miricles of jutsu. In reserve, and the essence force as well.  At the power stat of the jutsu: 165. The reserves (AP points) would be sapped per person, and restored to yen in whole. Lasting till he ended said technique. As any leftovers that went above his max were merely nothing. However, the most frightening ability was the fact the power of their chakra would be reduced. The powerlessness would befelt by any whom were unable to escape.

but this robbery of their chakra would be Temporarily of course. But significant as  the hope for high level techniques would vanish like smoke being caught in ones bare hands.

But the man known as yensung was not finished. No no dear readers. He rarely showcased his true powers of combat.  As he instinctively activated the tree surface walking technique out of habit. As his disire is to not be moved via his will. His body of yin causing his chakra to skyrocket as for his speed as it was maintained. As was his yang art yang aura. As for the sly sneak attack on the man of  konoha. The earth technique would not bother yen as even as it would form.

It would merely be sent to the outside of his yang art yang aura. Which has a 1 meter thickness, and seeps 1 meter deep in the earth. Beneath him and surrounding him. Creating a safe zone.  A pulse of grey wave would push this earth jutsu out to 10 meters away from yen as soon as it would come into contact with the aura, before coming in contact with yen, (yang wave from yang aura: speed 195, power: 230) and thus push the swamp literally away from him. And by all means since it was spreading at such a slow speed(60,) and since it formed 1 meter from yen. Tthe jutsu was literally wiped out before it finished even making it 3 meters. His grey wave seemingly turning the slush into what it was. Nothing. (Destroying dark swamp before full formatio. Via higher power etc.)

The surrounding earth will crumble, but the webs would remain with yen standing on top of the webbing as its power, and health more than enough to handle his weight. Plus he had surface walking active too. As he would continue on his way.

Thus the jutsu doing its main job. To protect yen and stop such nuisances from being an hampering to himself. As its job too was to reduce . Even if the earth jutsu was somehow not destroyed. It's power to yen would be reduced due to how the aura works. Meaning the swamps pulling power to yen would be reduced.  Simply due to the fact it will reduce the power of any inhibiting effect that will affect yen.

(Earth techniques power vs yang aura power. (60-230= -170) but we shall  say effectively 0 power would be the result to yen of course.)

Which yen at 3 strength would be able to walk through the swamp unimpeded perfectly fine. Well he was standing on the webbing thanks to surface / tree climbing. As he could walk on his own webbing. Still should someone try a quick one like "yen falling through and the earth platform vial already being destroyed. Yen would still be on top of the webs and safely land on the ground regardless.

As for the geninn. Cho and akane. They would barely miss the marker. Safe by a hair from the damning earth in which yen now seemed to slow his advance and waited. The draining power of his jutsu to grant him a solid replenishment of reserves. But most importantly. The declaration that he was in full control here.

His display of power still cackling over the battlefield in the same intimidating presence and power as before. (Dop: 690)

Akane had been keeping track of Alice and Roku all while winding up her throw for her kunai. With a deft throw of the two, right at the same time when Yensung had used his web jutsu, the two kunai made their way to a trajected point a little ways behind Alice. Piercing their way through the sky her two kunai made their way to their point of contact before bouncing off of each other and soaring towards their new destinations which were Alice, who was now grounded by Yen's web attack, and Roku who wasn't fast enough to escape the blurred steel coming at him as both kunais had been thrown with such precision neither ever even came close to a tree on either projected path. With nothing to stop either of them, her RT allowing her to see both kunai moving slowly through the air as anticipation caused her heart to start beating fast, the kunai indeed would hit both of her intended targets as one kunai hit Roku in the side of his skull while the other hit Alice in her forehead. Due to the power held within the webs her kunai proved to be the driving force of making Alice's barrier proven worthless as her kunai drove straight through what was left and planted itself firmly within Alice's skull and into her brain.

She saw all of this unfold as Akane, her skin red from her jutsu, as she was processing what just happened: Did she just take down two missing nin? One of which seemed to be a very high level target? A smile started to form on her lips as she floated in the air thanks to the insects Cho was providing her as she would continue to watch the battles around her unfold and conclude. She kept a watchful eye out for the caravan that contained the Daimyo to make certain no attacks were made against it as she would do so until everything subsided. If everything ended the way the team was hoping she would land next to her fellow ninja and give out a long sigh before looking around to see if there were any more to deal with. If not she would smile and say "Well that was fun! Let's get this Daimyo mission over with." before continuing down the road with her team. Today had become a good day for Akane and she had quite a story to tell her friends once she got back home.

It is a difficult life as a shinobi. You struggle to do your best for all induviduals in your village, and thoes that  you care and defend for. But yen had long since dropped these ideals. As it was nessary for the most part in times of true battle. The webs breaking and snapping bones as the cries of the missing ninja resonated through the area.  They were like flies to the fly paper. Unable to flee nor escape as alice, rayal, and roku all  were restrained. The fact that such an incident had to happen could've been avoided...  but it was too late.... no allies to save them, and the night came to a silence after a few moments. The last of their reserves all drained and lost as the rouge group fell unconcious due to their chakra reserves lost. (Via another -165 ap loss for each of the mn putting them at 0 and unconcious)


Yens single eye gleamed under the moonlight as he approached the still web covered body of the girl (alice) the prospects of his duty in such a mission was to make sure none other would be able to follow them. So the momento of their acheivement was  to be recorded. The kunai burried in the girl (alice) head had done the lethal blow. But one cannot be too uncertain. So he kept up the jutsu. 


With careful work he bagged her weapons, and items as well as ryo as they vanished with but a flash of yellow into his pocket demension.  Then he spotted a nicely made blade. This he relinquished for certain. Studying it under the moonlight before it too vanished into his pocket demension for later retrevial. An nice mantel peice for his fireplace perhaps...  or even another person as a gift. 

Hmmmmm.... this may have use one day... or i could sell it for  some extra cash... ah ill decide later.... regatdless.

 The  other tools were also taken. Then soon she too would perish only looting her, and thus  headed over to the body of rayal. As the webs would do the rest of the work crushing her. He ended the chakra draining however, but it was the end of the line. As there was frurther breaking of bones and then a final squish.  With ease he picked and proded through rayals stuff.


With them his job was simple with rayal... relinquish the items, and money for himself, then for figure since it was an oppertune moment with their exposed face. He placed a hand on the limp figure and took a breath having looted them a single tear falling down the side of his cheek. He was not the man who spoke wisdom. But the very warrior he feared. The webs all of it. A byproduct of experiments and thoughts. But here amid the silence. He had no one to hold him back.... and deep down he enjoyed it.


Why did you have to die sal my freind.... why did you let me loose....


Yen thought as he walked past the induvidual as the dark swamp was no more. And the mist was gone yen now simply spoke to the two girls as he was more disapointed. These people were simple. So he waited till allegro returned from dealing with the  ninja underground.  As the boy (roku) was delt with and looted by yen himself.


The web jutsu ended and there were 3 corpses of the missing ninja unless allegro claimed the third one as well. With this he spoke up to the geninn as he healed the carriage carriers and the vip's as well.


"We are finished here. So time to get going. You both fought well. Take each of their heads and we will present them to the kage. I will too give recommendation with courage and great skill that all of you are to be rewarded. Properly... we will take these back for analysis and such. For now we will store them for later retrieval."


Yen stated as he  finished with the healing. The aura was not dropped yet he still  was on alert. Till he determined it was safe and secure.

"Forgive me for such a rough ride. But rest assured we will get you safely to your destination"


Yen reassured each of the induviduals as per customnary. With the job. It was a grim life, but the life of shinobi.  with that no other mishaps occured on the journey to land of lightning. Then everyone returned as dutifully noted.

Returning home yen would collect his mission rewards as respectfully noted then upon reaching home he would polish his  fireplace a bit. As he would fashion that nice eyepatch of alices over his left one and smile enjoying a new style. Then after some time  he placed the blade over his fire place before  kicking back in his rocking chair.
