Fuyo climbed the cliff with surface walking not being fazed of the water because when the water came down he just stepped on the rushing water and continued his run up the mountain when fuyo got to the top he set down his cat Matatabi  and telepathically he told her to act like a normal cat and try to get close to the sword. fuyo stood right behind tadashi when he said.
"Yo hermit dude, mind giving us that sword you got there?"
Fuyo softly chuckled and whispered in tadashis and nekruns ear.
"Okay im clearly the weakest so ill be the bate ill get close you will attack if he tries to fight."
Fuyo took a step out into the space between the hermit and his group so fuyo walked up to the hermit holding out his hand saying
"Hello sir me and my companions are here to talk about that sword you have over there. it belongs to a close friend of mine and we would love for it to be returned to its owner with out any violence."
Fuyo looked at matatabi like she was like a normal cat as she was just walking around until she walked to the man and starting to purr and rub on his leg.
"oh im sorry for her but she's just my cat i dont leave the house with out her she's my sunshine!"
That was the best cover story he could think of but these thoughts didn't influence the tone that fuyo was bringing off as a person that just was honestly was trying to retrive a weapon for a old friend.

Dark storm clouds stretched as far as the eye could see casting a grey overtone. Heavy rain fall continued to fall towards the Earth and saturate the soon to be battlefield. The hermit continued to wait patiently for the Genin squads arrival. As they breached the top of the clearing the hermits jutsu would pick up on their exact location, drawing the hermit’s attention to the point of contact. He watched with his keen eye eight as the three genin clear the wall one by one. The first being the red hed, also known as tadashi. Nekrun followed and then the slowest of the group, Fuyo. Now that the group arrived, he wondered what their plan of attack was. Surely, they had devised some sort of plan on the trip over. If not, they were in for a rude awakening.

One by one the group began speaking, what they had to say did not matter much to the hermit. Persuasion was not going to get them out of this situation. If they wanted to complete their task, they were going to have to retrieve Ita’s katana by force.

Fuyo would begin to talk, but the hermit was not listening. He was too busy readying himself for combat. He raised his right hand to his chin, pushing it lightly so that it would create a popping sound of relief. Now that he was limber, the hermit would take a deep breath and shout to the group, cutting off Fuyo mid-sentence.

“If you have come for the sword you are going to have to take it from me.”

The hermits crimson eyes locked onto the group that was standing all within proximity of each other near the edge.

“Enough talking. Come at me!”

He would say while retrieving a kunai with his right hand from his weapon pouch. As he finished the last word, he would release the kunai towards last of the group to show to the clearing, Fuyo (Speed 100). How would the group react?
