Genin spars. (Zyxis)
Sun Sep 16, 2018 11:16 am
Hoshi woke up in the darkness of lied in the sleeping bag in the crack of dawn as his clock showed 5 AM?! After the previous training session he had exhausted him there was no thought that he would wake up at the usual time again. Yet that exact incident has introduced him to the exciting world of training partners so perhaps he wanted to get a headstart today.
Many ninja all strong and powerful avaliable to train with. So he *even with this exhaustion* Once again got up and out of the bag with a jump and decided to have a cold shower *A.K.A bucket water being thrown above him* to wake himself up. After that quick event the clothes he always wore were next thing to be done. *red/brownish shirt with orange tracksuit bottoms* He was excited as today at 6 A.m (1 hour to jog) he could find a great training partner if he just looked. And after packing a lunch and several drink he jogged off.
After jogging all the way he discovered the training grounds to be pretty empty. Enough time to do warm up practice he used his techniques imagining an equally powerful foe charging in with the dynamic entry. Attacking with normal fist attacks and substituting with his bag mid fight. Practising over and over after 1.5 hours he hoped someone would enter. Little did he know

Zyxis woke up with a smile. He felt as if his ninja career was finally starting. He was learning stronger techniques, becoming more fluent in manipulating his chakra and taking missions to help the village. The festive feeling helped hasten his morning routine. He threw on his clothes and brushed his teeth faster, knocked a few minutes off his daily run, and was even able to make breakfast before his parents woke up. He decided he'd use this pleasant energy to work on some jutsu at the training grounds.
As he arrived, he was caught off guard by, what he assumed was a Genin. He flew through the air with a kick. Dynamic Entry was the name of the technique. It was one he wanted to learn for a while now. Maybe this guy could become a new friend and training partner? He decided to enter the clearing, and he walked up to the boy, waving a hand while saying, "Hey there."

Hoshi could not believe his luck at that moment. Instead of HIM having to say hello, someone else has greeted him. This could mean a new training partner was imminent, but first a quick eyeing up was in order to see if he was up to scratch -and if he would even leave a scratch-. From the looks of it... He looks like a weak small child who seems pretty rich and pathetic.
If this was a year ago he would've mistaken this person as a lost child. But now he's alot more keen to see beneath looks. His eye's had fire in them and his basic bodily movements are fluid, yet firm both at the same time. He was definitely no ordinary kid, but a genin with an unnatural colour of white in his hair Hoshi decided to respond to him
"Hey there. That was a close one. Nearly kicked ya in the chest. Though from the looks of it. I would say you would've been able to dodge it. Since even with that small stature. The fact that your a genin -please say i'm not making a fool out of myself- You would've been fine. And hey. Since your here. Would you mind a quick spar?"
As Hoshi asked the question he smirked. Not only did he get to have a training partner but also how it occurred. It was as if a deity above deemed it To be necessary for his future to train with him. But a deity like that is a load of bull so he just thought it was a lucky occurrence. An occurrence he wanted to take advantage off not for the training. But for the thrill it may bring.

At first sight, he didn't like the way that the boy looked at him. He seemed cocky at first, and he could tell that there was disdain in his eyes. He smiled at him, keeping calm when he mentioned his tiny stature. "Sure, I'd love to spar, actually. So what's allowed. Taijutsu? Ninjutsu? You name it."
Zyxis kept calm, even though the boy had an antagonizing personality. He would settle it during the spar. If they were able to use other jutsu but Taijutsu, then he would probably be able to put up a good fight. If not, then he'd have to try his best. Unless the boy in front of him wanted to teach him some Taijutsu before they actually fought. That would make it even more interesting. He was probably a bit faster and stronger than him so it would be a really close spar. He'd leave the choice to him.
"Let's start with a bit about ourselves. My name is Zyxis. I've just become a Genin. I specialize in Taijutsu, and my element is Lightning. I haven't learned any Taijutsu yet, but I should probably start now."

"Welcome to everything you've ever learned.". Ryūka stood right outside of the training grounds. It had somewhat become a stranger place to the Genin, even intimidating maybe. He had not come here in a long while, he had not trained for longer than he would have liked to admit. and like any hobby or job that was procrastinated, it became harder every day Ryūka didn't do it. Either way, this was the day. He wasn't going to turn back and leave now, not when he was standing in the entrance. He had training to do after all, his body was getting rusty.
It had been a weird rollercoaster since Ryūka had become Genin. He had not been forced into any mission or any action of any kind, that pushed him. But there had been a lot for him to take in. Meeting new people was always hard for Ryūka, not because he was socially impaired or anything, but more because there was too much to learn, too much to get overwhelmed by. As Ryūka entered the training grounds, he unsheathed his katana. He walked forward slowly, swinging the sword around, to try to warm up his sword-wielding muscles. Not much longer after doing so, he saw his friend Zyxis talking to who Ryūka assumed was another Genin or perhaps an Academy Student. After watching them for a short while, he noticed the headband on the boys wrist. "That's an odd place to wear a headband." he thought, but then realized most people didn't wear their headbands in their arms either (like Ryūka did). "Gotta appreciate artistic liberties." he thought, as he made his way towards the Genin duo, still swinging his katana, sometimes throwing into the air, flipping it, juggling it, and a lot more dumb-looking but fun tricks.
"Hey Zyx." he said as he approached the two, as he introduced himself to the other one with a nod, "Ryūka. Nice to meet you. So are you two training or what?".

Before i had even the slightest a chance to introduce myself. Some guy wielding a katana entered the fray. From what he said he seems to know this Genin here. This begs the question just who really are these two? Just associates? Friends? Even perhaps rivals? But as Hoshi pondered these thoughts he decided the best cause of action would be to first answer Zyxis's question whilst meeting this strange purple haired fellow.
"Ah you must be a friend or something to Zyxis. Why is it ninja i've seen always have odd hair? Anyway. My name is Hoshi Kyouken. Normally people dislike my name but i can't for the life of me tell why. I'm also a fellow genin if ya can't tell -shows right fist-, Alike Zyxis i specialise in taijutsu yet unlike him i've already gotten a few techniques down and even have earth style... Which i guess is pretty weak in this village but to answer Zyxsis and perhaps you there Ryuka? I agree jutsu should be used in this training but if you don't even know any taijutsu then perhaps i could teach you some before we begin."
After Hoshi dealt with the new second partner he decided to teach Zyxis some basic taijutsu he learned in order to do good combat. First of all the Iron claw technique. Good basis to start from as it's pretty basic but is effective, at least at genin level anyway. First of all Hoshi looked around for a dummy and eventually grabbed one and decided to run to grab it. Ending up in him tripping over on the floor directly on his face. Not the best way to introduce himself but he's sure he can make this up. As he dragged the dummy over he began talking about a few techniques he's learned which are effective.
"Sorry Ryuka but I think i need to teach Zyxis some taijutsu first if you don't mind? Now first of all the iron claw technique. It's hard to explain. But to do it ya gotta pour chakra into your hand. Especially the tips of your fingers. And what you do -shows on dummy- Is grab the head and squeeze. I've found this technique is pretty good at making an opponent surrender rather than killing someone. Though I guess you haven't killed anyone yet.
Next we have the rolling fist. This move unlike the previous is like a barrage of attacks. Which you need to imagine a sort of speed ball practice of movements as you roll your fists -shows the movement of the fists within the air as a demonstration-. But the trick to this move is the variation. If you want straight up power close your fists. But if you rather a more agile move. Then try opening up your hands. That ends up increasing the speed but lowering how powerful it is since well. It's more like a rolling slap at that point hahaha -laugh's alone-.
And finally we have what i call a dynamic entry move. Before i do it i'll just say what it is. It's a leap in which you would cover a whole 10 metre's! It require's you to pour your chakra into your legs and get prepared to pounce as far as you can. But not high. And it ends with a solid placed kick on your enemy. I'll show you -Walks 10 metre's away. Prepares chakra into legs/feet. Even bending his legs more and Hoshi ends up leaping the full 10 metre's and kicks the dummy with a powerful kick... Then falls to the ground- Yeah that. Except without the falling. Though when you do this you probably wont be able to reach the ground with one foot after you land the kick and instead free fall for abit since your pretty small."
Hoshi sort of feels bad for ryuka that the technique's being present are pretty much worthless to him ,as seen as his katana being the weapon of choice means the fist is probably not so, But at least Hoshi for once is the one teaching instead of the other way around. But who knows the power this kid Zyxis and his friend Ryuka both behold. This could end up being the most exciting day Hoshi's had in a long long while.

Re: Genin spars. (Zyxis)
Sun Sep 16, 2018 4:50 pm
Zyxis turned around and was glad to see Ryūka. It was already shaping out to be a good day. The other Genin seemed to be nice, but at the same time competitive. It wasn't a good combination with Zyxis' more "keep to himself" attitude. Although, his drive to succeed and improve didn't make it hard for him to want to train and spar with Hoshi. When Zyxis first heard his name, his eyes narrowed. Didn't it seem kind of ironic to be named Hoshi in Kumogakure? Why would his parents decide to call him something like that? So that he could be made fun of during his times in the academy and probably by stronger people his whole life?
He shook his head, ridding himself of those thoughts. It probably wouldn't be that bad. It would just be bad for the first part of his life until the people around him matured. So instead of snickering at his name or asking him about it, he nodded. It wouldn't be wise to be rude to someone who was about to teach you. In all honesty, Zyxis was excited to be taught Taijutsu. It was embarrassing for him to have not learned any Taijutsu moves even though he wanted to specialize in it. Once he began to increase his collection of them could he proudly say he was a Taijutsu specialist. He started to listen to Hoshi as he began to teach.
He grabbed his own training dummy as Hoshi demonstrated. So all you had to do was concentrate chakra in your hand to give you a stronger grip? That was easy enough. The white-haired Genin was becoming even more proficient in manipulating his chakra. The Iron Claw technique actually gave him some ideas for jutsu he could develop when stronger and more advanced in the ranks. He grabbed the dummy without the use of chakra the first time, testing out his own strength. It wasn't weak, per say, but it wasn't strong either. He closed his eyes and began to manipulate his chakra, his arm and hands taking a faint blue glow to them. He squeezed the dummy's skull and realized the boost to his strength and speed. It most definitely could turn someone's head into paste if needed. Imagine if he were to add Lightning to it as well?
Hoshi mentioned something about Zyxis. He said that he hasn't killed anyone. Even though Hoshi was right, Zyxis raised a white eyebrow. Maybe he was taking it the wrong way but the way he said it made him seem like he has killed someone. That wasn't his place to question it though so he would move on to the next jutsu. He listened to the Genin's explanation on Chain Fist. He had also studied this jutsu one morning during the weekend. It was similar to his knowledge of Inside to Outside: Block, but instead, it was an attack. A swift-paced combo based on fists and/or palms, one that focuses on power and the other that focuses on speed. He didn't have any personal preference so he would try both. So the technique focuses on up to fifteen hits, all in straight, circular motions that are also short. Both boost speed and strength, but one more than the other.
Chakra flushed through his body as he ran at the dummy. Zyxis stopped short, and at the same time, his arms flew forward adding extra momentum to the attack. A closed fist slammed into its diaphragm, then its chest, skull, shoulder, and throat. Each hit left a dent in the figure, the wooden structure of it under extreme strain from his fists. He didn't stop there, releasing the pressure of his clenched fists. His hands were let open, and five more hits landed in the same exact place as before, effectively destroying the dummy into pieces. Zyxis smiled as he began to understand the techniques. The technique was very efficient and effective. With every closed-fist hit, he felt stronger than ever before. With open-hand raps, it seemed as if he was the materialization of lightning. The strikes were fast, concentrated, and powerful. He wondered what it would be like to master even stronger techniques.
He ignored Hoshi's joke about rolling slaps. The technique was effective whichever way you used it. Strength didn't matter if you weren't fast enough to utilize it. Now for one that he personally wanted to learn, Dynamic Entry. It's a good starter for any fight. He had read a lot about it in the library as well. Basically, you channel chakra throughout your whole body and mostly into your legs. You then leap off the ground and form the position of a kick. It's useful since you're able to use your full speed in mid-air and you're also able to reach about ten meters away from where you're currently standing with this technique. He listened to Hoshi's explanation of the attack and mixed it with his own understanding of it.
His eye twitched as the boy called him small again. He just had to remind himself, deep breathes. He would show him how strong he was during the spar. Or he could use that frustration out on the next dummy that was unlucky to be his training partner. Chakra surged throughout his body, his eyes narrowed, and his knees bent. Luckily, his target was conveniently already ten meters away. He pushed off the ground as hard as he could and went flying through the air. His anger slowly dissipated as he flew. He would be lying if he said that running was better than this. The wind blew through his hair faster than ever, and his limbs felt free. He couldn't count the moment he was in the air until the moment he wasn't. He just felt the satisfaction of wood splitting beneath his feet.
As soon as his foot connected, he pushed backward and stopped his momentum, and instead transferred it into a spin that turned into a backflip. He landed perfectly and walked back towards the two other Genin with an expressionless face. He made it back he bowed, and politely said, "Thank you for teaching me those techniques." Even though the boy was a pain-in-the-butt, he couldn't forgo the fact that he had taught him something. His blood was pumping, he could feel his heartbeat in his ears, and his cheeks were sort of flushed. He couldn't tell if it was from literally flying for a short amount of time, or if it was because he wanted to place his fist between Hoshi's eyes. Probably a mix of the two.
He turned towards Ryūka, "Do you want to learn these techniques as well? I'm pretty sure that they'll be able to help you, even though you want to specialize in weaponry. Personally, I recommend it. Especially the Dynamic Entry. That one is simply fun."

Re: Genin spars. (Zyxis)

"... Oh yes of course we can start fighting soon." The barely focused reply was in no shame to Ryuka but instead Hoshi's attempts at analysis of Zyxis. And all though he seemed to be thankful he could see agitation build ,Good, He'll be able to get a fantastic spar out of him now, although all information about Ryuka is closed Zyxis has given alot away about his strengths right then and there. He seems almost slightly weaker then Hoshi. But not only faster but with better control of chakra. In terms of learning he was excellent as a fellow Genin he learned what took Hoshi 15 hours in just 30 minutes flat. Zyxis will be fun not because of his overwhelming power. But abilities to adapt.
Even though such a person existed Hoshi was certain he could beat him in a straight on taijutsu fight. But with other jutsu's? Now that's a challenge. But even so Ryuka's barely spoken many words. Simply a small introduction and a candid attitude to this fight. So perhaps the focus on the gifted Zyxis is misplaced as this man maybe even more brutal, yet calm and elegant. A stark contrast to the energetic Zyxis who Hoshi believe's with how invested he was into doing the techniques. Even showing off with the flip landing that Zyxis will try to prove his superiority any second now. With Hoshi's only concern not being losing, but lasting long enough to fight to his hearts content.
After standing around looking like a zoned out idiot for a solid minute Hoshi decided to first at least make sure everyone's ready "Hmm. Ya know. Before we fight i want to make sure we give it are all. So we might as well have a drink. I usually prepare 3 bottles of water before coming in here but today this'll be shared around us. So you guys drink up. And prepare for me too beat you all into the ground. Hahaha or at least try anyway." So handing the drinks out presented it's own challenge. Zyxis gave him some funny looks but ended up taking the bottle anyway whilst Ryuka flat out rejected the water currently given to them. Guess their abit more serious about risks from a random person anyway.
After drinking the water slowly he finally pack it back into my bag. Clearing His throat of any water in it Hoshi declared "Right then. I guess we should prepare for a spar then. Just to make things clear this is not to the death since well. Of course it isn't. And that jutsu/weapons of any kinds are aloud. Just make sure not to cause permanent damage yet somehow try at the same time? Eh we'll know what were doing. For now it's pretty much an all v all. I guess winner would be the won to *dominate* the rest and prove they are the strongest." Setting a goal like this is sure to rile up a few people. Including Hoshi himself of course. "Are you guys ready to begin?"
Zyxis only nodded once he asked if they were ready to spar. He wasn't emotionless or anything, he just liked to keep to himself until he got to know the person more. Also, Hoshi was kind of agitating. Anyway, he was ready. He knew that Ryuka was stronger than him and probably faster. He didn't know many jutsu, and that was the only advantage that he really had over him. Although, it would be easy for him to still counter his chakra enhanced moves with his base speed alone. His eyes and posture didn't betray his thoughts. His eyes stayed solely focused on Hoshi.
"Let's begin," He said quietly, but loud enough for everyone to hear. Ryūka, Zyxis, and Hoshi were all about ten meters away from each other. As he formed the Ram seal, he took one step and vanished. Zyxis used Body Flicker heading directly towards Hoshi, as expected. Even though he was going at [40 Speed], he knew that he could go faster. At the same time he had used Body Flicker, he had used Dynamic Entry, reaching [Speed 50] and [Strength 30]. At the speed at which he was traveling, there would be no way for Hoshi to dodge. He might be able to block it, but he wouldn't be able to get out of the way of Zyxis.
If the attack would connect - which it was almost impossible that it wouldn't - the boy would be kicked in the stomach harder than he had ever been kicked before, and be sent flying around five meters from the place he was standing. That would set him 10 meters away from Ryūka and Hoshi 15 meters away from Ryūka, with Hoshi 5 meters away from himself.
As soon as he landed, he'd begin to run backward, hoping to set 5 more meters between him and Ryūka.
