Spar under the tree's [nk]
Sun Sep 23, 2018 2:04 pm
One day ,whilst lying down on a stone outside his house, Hoshi had a though. He didn't actually know how powerful Ryuka really was as all they've really done is just semi fight with no actual combat between the two directly. This fact just made Hoshi just all the more curious. How would Ryuka fight in a one on one battle? How would he fight exactly in his own style.
With this in mind goes today within the village. Hoshi recently bought a wooden sword from a ninja training shop. With this could he manage to actually have Ryuka use his technique's and moves without the risk of killing Hoshi? This fact made Hoshi excited. In fact the day before when he thought of this he sent a letter towards Ryuka "Ryuka I've just realised we haven't actually had a fight yet. So why not! Come join me 100 metres into the Black Forest in this direction" -Shows map- "for an uninterrupted Spar. Don't worry about a sword i've got you covered. P.S the time to arrive would be 10 A.M."
An event such as this would be rare and yet Hoshi had no other clothes to wear. Though he also forgot to tell Ryuka that their might be a certain creature he spotted in that area when he was looking for a good place to fight. so if the spar doesn't go well at least they could perhaps fight said creature within those woods.
As Hoshi entered the black Forest he was confident in his navigation skills within dark forests from his own personal live experience's. It was dark and somewhat moist and yet all the tree's looked unique to the point Hoshi could easily find his way back, The ground wasn't the most stable footing but it was perfect for a battle under undesirable conditions.
Hoshi managed to comfortably arrive within the spot. It was 8 A.M and Ryuka wasn't here yet so Hoshi decided to do some routine practice before Ryuka even showed up. Since if Ryuka went at him Hoshi would need to be at his upmost best performance if he was even to have a chance at besting Ryuka at all.

"Come join me in the black forest"... In Ryūka's eyes, this was a call for battle, if anything. But either way, he didn't need to guess, as the next words on the letter he got from his friend Hoshi literally spelled out "an uninterrupted spar". The madman even challenged him to use his weapons. The letter requested him to appear there at 10 am, so Ryūka was there 9 am sharp. It was somewhat hard for Ryūka to navigate the road, but thanks to the map Hoshi provided him with the letter (and one more map Ryūka got from a bookstore nearby, to make sure Hoshi wasn't using a fake map to trick Ryūka - he wasn't), Ryūka managed to find their meeting spot without much trouble.
"Hey Hoshi" he said, as soon as he spotted him, "Let's cut the bull, and get down to it.". His hand was on the hilt of his katana as soon as he showed up, ready to pull it out at any minute. He was wearing his regular clothes, but had left his notebook at home to make sure it wasn't damaged in the heat of battle. Other than that, he carried everything else he would usually carry. That included the headband of course, tied to his right arm.

Hoshi was relieved at first when he saw Ryuka. It was time to actually get down to business which even Ryuka wanted to get to it. A little too much. As ryuka went and rapidly grabbed the hilt of his sword Hoshi had to do something. ANYTHING! In order to prevent a straight up murder at this very place "Whoah there Ryuka hold on a minute. I said i got you covered and i got you a wooden practice sword so you don't kill me. It's almost like you want to kill me though hahaha."
That laugh was less about the joke and more as though a panic in response to Ryuka's eagerness to grab his weapon. Hoshi managed to get into his bag's side pocket to throw a protruding wooden sword at Ryuka. Although Ryuka would probably be upset he wont mind a wooden sword that much RIGHT?!
"Heh. Well now that you armed not to kill let's begin then." Hoshi begun immediately after stating let's begin with a distance of 3 metre's between them and instead of attacking immediately his body and arms were just prepared for any assault Ryuka could even open up with as Hoshi himself knew he was far too slow to fight normally. So he must make Ryuka do the first move and fight from there. Hoshi also wanted to see how Ryuka would fight given the first move.

Ryūka was angry, if not furious and disgusted by Hoshi's attempts to offer a swordsman a wooden stick. He watched in awe as the man threw that stick into the air, and watched it fall down to the ground. "I..." a shiver went down his spine. He breathed slowly and deeply, "I'm good." Ryūka said, pulling out his katana, with the sheath still attached to make it a blunt weapon much like the wooden stick itself. Obviously Ryūka had no intention to kill the boy whom he reffered to as a friend currently. The katana was locked into the sheath so one wouldn't fly away in the heat of the battle.
"Bring it." he said smiling, waiting for Hoshi to make the first move. Then he realized Hoshi as well, was waiting for him to make the first move. Ryūka shrugged and ran towards the Kumo Genin with the ironic, perhaps even tragic, name. Ryūka did not want to use his aces right from the start of the fight, so he simply ran towards Hoshi, and attacked him with a slash from his left side to his right, the katana being held by his right hand.

Hoshi watched Ryuka as he was also standing still waiting for him to do the first move. But Hoshi wont budge since he wants to know how Ryuka fights and soon Hoshi managed to get exactly what he wished for. Ryuka dashed rapidly at him preparing for a "slash" targeted at his left side. Although Ryuka was insanely fast Hoshi also had some speed if enough to block a swing he can see coming a mile away by simply pushing it with his right arm using his own strength to stop the force.
With the strike stopped Hoshi had not many options to attack Ryuka and so went with a powerful left punch towards his ribcage which would hurt quite a bit with Hoshi's dominating strength if it actually hit Ryuka. But if Ryuka tried to retreat Hoshi would make an attempt at grabbing Ryuka's sheath with his right hand to prevent that from happening.

The madman. It actually did manage to surprise Ryūka when Hoshi blatantly took the attack instead of attempting to dodge or block it. Ryūka felt the attack connect, no doubt damaging him. It was a brave move in Ryūka's eyes, and this could have been one of the few times Hoshi had earned his respect, if not the first time. And with his superior strength, he even managed to push his attack back. He saw the boy's left fist go for a low blow, by Ryūka's standards anyway. He quickly jumped back, opening a 1m distance between the two fully avoid the attack. At least he attempted to, but he was caught by Hoshi grabbing his katana by the sheath.

Ryūka kicked Hoshi's hand that was holding on to the sheath.

Hoshi was still stinging from the blow which shock into his right arm. Ouch that kind of attack could leave a bruise and yet... It was much weaker then Hoshi expected. Of course it was. This man infront of him has a blade to cause lethal damage and if he was unsheathed it would definitely leave a gash into his arm though not cutting through the bone. Hoshi was now confident about this mans kick and how much power i could hold. Hoshi readied his hand by gripping tighter to the weapon using Iron claw. He digged hard enough to cause slight indents into the sheath itself [60 strength] to prepare his hand for the likely pain.
Yet Hoshi was in a near perfect position. The faster foe force to slow down whilst he could attack him easily from a distance like this. His lower abdomen aimed punch would be able to successfully hit his opponent managing to nearly break the bones in his body and even temporarily cause damage to some of his internal organs *though nothing severe* with a perfect punch at this range. If that punch failed to connect he would try to stomp his left foot with his right if only to force him to move backwards. Pushing him backwards as he did it slightly to approach a tree which is 2 meters behind him slowly to become only 0.8 meters behind him.

Ryūka was disappointed his kick wasn't strong enough to knock Hoshi's hand away from the katana's sheath, but his mind didn't linger on. It wasn't a big deal. Ryūka just needed to rethink his battle strategy. Then he couldn't help but let out a smiling sigh as he watched Hoshi throw a punch into the air that landed on nothing. After all, they were apart by a distance equal to Ryūka's arm, in addition to the katana's length, which was beyond Hoshi's range. It would have been a good choice for Hoshi to try to pull Ryūka in by the katana, to bring him into his range; but alas, the Genin had not, he had just thrown a punch, which simply did not reach Ryūka.
Ryūka did not realize the cracks Hoshi put on his katana. If he did, he might have reacted differently. With much less compassion, needless to say. What he decided to do, in his world of naivety, was to draw his katana. He did not want Hoshi holding on to him the whole fight. Hoshi's swing would has still been in its final stages, as Ryūka started to draw his sword. He was using one of his weaponry techniques he had practiced many times, allowing him to move at a speed much faster than his. With Hoshi holding onto the sheath with one hand, and retracting his punch with the other, it had left his chest wide open (well an arm was in the way, but not ready to protect it, more likely than not), for an attack from Ryūka.
The awkward positioning of Hoshi, with 3 of his 4 limbs busy, allowed Ryūka to easily position his feet correctly to avoid Hoshi's attempt to stomp his feet. (He needed to take a step back to be able to pull the katana out of the sheath anyway, so, two birds with one stone.) Ryūka attacked Hoshi in the chest, of course with the hilt of the katana, rather than the blade. It wouldn't have been enough to damage him greatly, but Ryūka assumed it would have been strong enough to send Hoshi back 5 meters.

Once Hoshi realised Ryuka's plan as Ryuka started to unlock his katana he planted his foot down instantly in reaction to the need to stabilise ones self. With this new found stability Hoshi had to do something or Ryuka may end up slicing at him. Hoshi release the sheath in his right hand to prepare for a taijutsu styled block against the weapon [20 power block].
But Hoshi knew a block like this wouldn't be enough to cancel out the force completely and so he angled his blocking to which when hit it wouldn't hit the block all the way but should slow down the weapon long enough for a bare minimum dodge. The force from the hilt perhaps might be enough to push his arm backwards and so with the non 100% hit the arm was 0.5 cm towards the right more so would swing Hoshi in a right going Circle if he let if with no resisting force. But with this added speed from the force of his arm going backwards -the right arm is hurting a great deal after a block like this. Meaning anymore force could prove negative for the arm but for now it's in fighting order-
With this right going circle Hoshi would pivot his left foot to go with the direction of the force and stop it with a left blow to Ryuka's liver now that he's closed in enough to attack him with the hit of the sword in a bashing style.

Ryūka couldn't believe Hoshi would choose to damage his other arm as well. Being a weaponry specialist, he would have much rather taken in an attack bluntly in the stomach rather than damage one of his arms, as they were his main tools in battle. The weapons he actually used were more like extensions of them in Ryūka's eyes.
With Hoshi's entire body circling, he wouldn't have as much insight on the state off the fight as Ryūka, having to watch the movements at a difficult angle at first, and afterwards potentially having to turn his back entirely, losing sight on Ryūka's movement. Ryūka would notice the kick, of course, and simply jump back, not forgetting to pick up his sheath when he landed just a few steps away. He would sheathe his katana once again, as he talked to Hoshi. "Close call. How are your arms feeling by the way?".
