Return of the Armada
Tue Jan 29, 2019 2:26 pm
After a relatively short journey in the realm of shinobi, the Kirigakure delegation returned home with a few additional heads than what they had left with. An interesting situation with logistics to be sure considering they hadn't expected the new arrivals, yet here they were. With the ship now moored in the harbours, Xyxer himself stood next to the side of the ship, waiting for everyone to unload off the vessel before he joined them himself. Hayate and Nero, however, would receive the coveted nod of approval from Xyxer, lucky victors that they were.

Despite the light breeze, the water in the harbor was as still as a sheet of glass. Hayate almost wished it were more like the open seas, he enjoyed feeling the rocking of his grandfathers small two person fishing boat ever since he was young. De-boarding the silence didn't really feel like leaving a ship, just crossing from one piece of land to the other.
It did have one relief, though. He was now free to talk to and about the late additions to their journey. It was unfair, having them join after the returning part was already aboard. He had met the one before, before he even made genin. And now, he was chuunin. But the others...
Hayate spared a glance back at the mizukage as a reflex after even thinking about talking so close to the Silence. But there was no trace of suspicion or malice. Just a nod, an acknowledgement. If not quite proud, perhaps... satisfied.
That would have to do for now, as he made his way away from the docks.

Funny. The trip was significantly harder than beating the other villages in battle. Huh. Anyway, Nero was back home now.

The brute stood from his seated position on the deck once the ship had docked at the harbor. Sternly he stood with his cloak draped over the entirety of his body as he let he rest of the passengers aboard the boat exit before exiting himself.

What had been a relatively short journey felt like it had taken weeks to the snowy haired kunoichi as both her wolven companion and herself emerged to the deck where the others were gathered. Perhaps it felt like eternity only to her due to what she would be partaking once they landed. It still felt surreal to her that she had left Konoha for the last time, or at least the last time as a shinobi of the village. Soon she would be sworn in as a ninja of Kirigakure, becoming loyal to them rather than the leaf.
Despite hating the village and most of the people in it, abandoning one’s birthplace for another felt peculiar to her, even more so the idea of having to leave her brother’s remains in the trusting care of her medical-ninjutsu mentor, Dr. Satomi. She knew the woman would take good care of him, but the thought of never being able to visit him again gnawed at her. Hikari had failed to find a way to revive Salzem, nothing she had tried worked and it seemed the only way to bring him back would require a greater sacrifice- but even that was risky at best. She hoped that the technological advanced village of Kiri might assist her in more ways than one, allowing her to become stronger and find a way to bring Sal back.
She was brought out of her calculating thoughts when The Silence docked at the harbors, having already made it through the storm wall with ease. Her eyes glanced around at the unfamiliar faces, people she had seen before but knew not even their name. A man whose hair was almost as light as hers and a younger shinobi with a dull blue hue to his locks. The most shocking of everyone on deck was the giant wielding an even bigger sword, a shinobi she had seen at the Kage Summit with Kumogakure and whose chakra signature gave him away despite his attempts to shield his body from view with his cloak.
It was a mystery to her why the Kumo man was aboard the Kiri ship for if memory served Hikari correctly, he had also been an anbu, so it wouldn’t make sense that he abandon his village for Xyxer. Not without being forced to, she reasoned. It was the only logical thing she could think of to explain his presence there, but even if he had come of his own free will it didn’t really matter to her. As long as she could train under the Mizukage she didn’t care who he decided to bring along.
As everyone moved to deboard the ship, the former leaf shinobi and her large wolf followed the rest of the passengers as they disembarked from The Silence, hoping she would be able to stay with the Hyuuga heiress again.

Once the ship had finally arrived, Kotsuzui left the confines of his quarters to the main deck of the ship for the first time during the trip. Having kept to himself the entire time, this was the first time he had even taken a look around at the others. With one large inhale taking in the smell of the salt in the air, the Kaguya followed the others off the ship. Time to find out where Kiri's best bars were located.
