Eliwood was dazed from the punch that sent him reeling, but was glad to see his new drinking buddy wasnt the type to sit by and let this type of thing happen. He steadied himself back on his feet and watched as Seiichi proceeded to kick one of the men right out the door of the bar. He only had a moment to be impressed before it seemed like the whole bar was standing up looking for a fight.
Even drunk, Eliwood knew this would spell trouble for him and Seiichi. His thoughts were cut short by the sound of his name being called from across the bar. He scanned the crowd and noticed a familiar face wading his way through the bar's patrons.
"Taki! Yes you can see I have been better." He would say feeling only slight relief from the situation. Now at best, his chef friend would also take a beating. Ever full of surprises however, Taki didnt seem worried at all. Instead he quickly diffused the situation with only a simple book. Once he showed the angry bar dwellers a page in the little book, they all backed down. Taki said something about someone being back but Eliwood did not recognize the name. With the ruckus of a fight over, the bar's mood rapidly shifted to excitement as Taki ordered rounds of drinks for the whole place on Eliwood and Seiichi's tabs. The young monk didn't care at all, money was fleeting anyways. A chance to see a friendly face in a place like this was priceless.
He helped himself to another drink and turned to Seiichi, "Do not worry. I shall cover the tab. It is my way of saying thanks for what you did back there." This man hardly knew Eliwood and yet he stood by him when it got violent. He thanked the Flame that he could meet someone like him here.
He then turned his attention to Taki, "What brings you all the way out here?" He slurred.

The whole room was in an uproar. After the man stumbled out of the doorway Seiichi prepared himself to strike the bigger man that was closest to him. Then a young female walked into the room. She caught his eye, not only because she was a beautiful young lady, but she had an aura about her. There was something about her that reminded him of home. But, in the second that he was looking at her he couldn't place it.
As he looked back at the group, the crowd standing there ready to fight, all he could think about was blood. He could see it. The beautiful drips of it falling to the ground. Large puddles spreading across the floor. A voice in his head told him, Grab the bottle off the counter and slice their throats. Kill all of them. You know you want to. He listened to it. It's voice was none-other than himself, a younger version but still him. Picturing himself as a young child, blood dripping down his face from a fresh wound. Blood dripped from his hand while he used it to covered the large gash.
He was about to pick up the sake bottle and cut the large man's throat when another gentleman stood up in the back. Seiichi couldn't hear anything he said as he approached. He did notice the wave of calm that flooded the room, but his heartbeat was the loudest thing in the world. Blood. His eyes were wide for a moment.
His new friend whispered into his ear that he would cover the tab and he quickly snapped out of his rage. Calm pumped back into his body. All of that hate. What happened.... Her... She was the catalyst. his gaze fell on her. He didn't let it linger though, quickly shrugging it off. It was rude to stare.
As the room fell back into its normal dysfunctions Seiichi would take his seat again. He wouldn't openly say hello, he would sit there and nurse his drink till someone introduced him. Trying not to look back at the women, almost afraid what it would cause him to do. If it would do anything again. A vague thought entered his mind about this new man, Taki, he thought he heard. As his new friend continued to talk it was obvious that they knew each other.

Taking a small glass of sake he’d drink it all before pouring another. He’d smile at his monk friend, “O just a bit of business. The jobs still blowing up like a bakuton bomb. So gotta find better ingredients and cheap workers.” He’d say finishing with a wink. That part was true enough at least.
He’d missed this kind of place, and the need for a bit of chaos had called for him. Though you could pick up good around these parts that you couldn’t anywhere else, at least judgment free anyway. As for the workers, that wasn’t untrue either. The Land of Fangs was starting to become even bigger, and now a second location in the land of rivers merely opened up the need for good employees even more. Chefs he was good on, but errands between the two, scouts for new locations, and even an assistant to keep him straight we’re all things he lacked. So far any prospective employees he had didn’t want the travel through the dangerous no man lands of a Shinobi continent, hence the black market.
Looking at Seeichi, he recognized that he didn’t recognize the man. “Whose your friend Eli?” He’d ask simply taking another drink. The atmosphere around them was much calmer, more like a regular bar. Though if one looked around they’d notice that several eyes had not left them, though they’d forgotten a monk and his friend, and where now focused on a certain chef.

"Business you say?" Eliwood would say between sips. Already far over his limit the monk was feeling on top of the world. "Oh for your restaurant? Marvelous, I have still yet to go. *hiccup* Apologies."
He looked around at the now calm bar and was delighted to see smiling faces. His money made all these people happy, if only for a little while. Maybe having some money on hand would actually be a good thing, after all he would be able to bring about more moments like this.
Eliwood leaned onto Seiichi's shoulder to steady himself, "You say you need workers then ole Taki? I just so happen to be looking for a gig. Down on my luck you could say."
He would look up at Seiichi who was looking a bit tense and realized he and Taki did not know each other.
"Oh where are my manners. Taki this is Seiichi. Seiichi this is Taki. To be honest I dont know either of you that well but who really does in this bloody world?" He laughed and then clenched his gut as a little bit of nausea kicked in.

Seiichi shifted his head and body to be part of the conversation, turning in his eat he held the glass with sake In his right hand.
"It's nice to meet you Taki." He set the glass down and offered his hand. Such an ancient custom, ninja nowadays could hide things all over their body, they didn't need their right hand to fight. "You have a restaurant huh?" Seiichi had been trying to keep his ears open for any new opportunities to make cash. "Just let me know if I can help at all. I'm knida new around here, need to find a place to get me on my feet." He said then looked away and took a drink. It wasn't like him to speak so much, or even ask for help from a stranger really, but desperate times required desperate actions.
As he looked away he noticed the thick drunken crowd around him. Some were minding their own business, joking and drinking with friends, others were staring. But it wasn't at him or his new friend. He started to wonder how much trouble this Taki character was going to bring in. Oh, you know your looking forward to it. The darker part of him spoke.

“As long as you don’t drink across my profits...”. Maku would say sternly, only then to hurt out laughing. He’d slap Eliwood on the back, and as he did his hand would move up slightly to touch the back of his neck. The movement was quick, almost imperceptible especially giving the monks current constitution. He’d place a mark seal, just Incase he needed to find the lad later. He’d taken a liking to him at the fishing tournament and in a dangerous place like this you never knew when you needed to grab someone.
Looking at Seeichi, he’d clap the man on the chest. “You do look like a tough guy. I’m sure I could use you. Worlds a dangerous place, sometimes you need tough guys to move stuff around. Can’t expect me to get my hands dirty aye?” He’d finish with a laugh and a gulp of sake. Hopping up into a seat he’d look around at the bar, still noting some of the stares.
“Yea, truth is I could use some more workers. I’ve got to businesses now, pretty far apart. Wouldn’t be bad to have some folks that could do some runnin for me. Guess let’s have an impromptu interview........we’ll expense this as a business lunch.” Teaching over the bar he’d grab a pencil and a napkin. Clearing his throat he’d take on a serious tone....”so what are your professional strengths boys, and.......what three skills would help you survive in a room with a man eating lion?” He would ask.....obviously following standard interview format and questions.

"Do some running? That sounds highly doable." Eliwood would say before pondering the interview questions now being thrown at the drunken lad.
He did not have much physical strength, but he was a people person with a knack for getting into and subsequently out of trouble.
"Well I can talk my way out of a jam if needed, I am trained in several musical instruments, annnnnd.
." He trailed off trying to think of things to say about himself, "and uhh my hair blows in the wind even indoors. See?" Hed say pointing to his ever-flowing green locks.
As for the question about the lion, Eliwood's intoxicated brain struggled to pull some solid answers.
"Three skills you ask? Well for one the ability to make food other than yourself would most certainly come in handy in that situation. Other than that youd need the guts to eben approach a lion, and being able to speak to animals would be a huge boon." He slurred, the effects of drinking too much clearly starting to hit him.
His head was feeling light and the room was slowly spinning. He rested his head flat on the table and weakly lifted a finger to point at Seiichi, "You are up buckeroo."

Seiichi watched as the man as he started to ask a bunch of questions. He ended up turning the whole situation into an interview. It was interesting watching his intoxicated friend tying to come up with answers. He ended up with his head in his arms laying on the table. Seiichi patted the man on the back.
"I think he was asking what skills do you have that would protect you from a man eating lion, not simply what are good skills if you were in such a situation..?" He trailed off and looked at Taki, asking the question.
None-the-less Seiichi would continue, "Well.." He took another shot. The liquor as just now starting to give him the nice buzz feeling "I'm the loyal type." He said, "Even if someone wanted to pay me more, I'd stick with the devil I know." He poured himself another shot. "I work hard, and would like to get payed accordingly." He let his words trail off a little and slowly lifted his drink to his lips and sucked down another shot. He was hoping it would give him some more time. He wasn't sure what he was going to say for the lion part. In the end he just let what was in his head spew from his mouth, "I am fast, intelligent, and ok with a blade. If a lion is stupid enough to attack me..." He shrugged.
In the back of his head he could feel himself get a little nervous. His heart was pumping louder, his face was flushing, his hands were starting to sweat a bit. He looked strait forward as to hide these things and prayed no one would notice. The one question set it off, would he accept that? He thought. In the end it wouldn't really matter, he could go and sit against another wall and make it to another day.
Let death have his way... He thought as he poured another drink.

A light chuckle escaped him at Eliwood. Well the lad count hold his liquor, but at least if he partook from the wares it’s be easily noticeable. Maku decided to add that to the plus column. As far as Seeichi went, he was a bit more of the solid type. Had a nice face scar to say he meant business, so he wrote “mean muggin” in the positive column for him as well.
Writing down their answers, he then promptly wadded up the napkin and tossed it behind him. Who really used notes from an interview anyway? It was just about the applicant thinking you where paying attention.......though perhaps he was supposed to discard the notes when they weren’t looking.....a quandary for another time he supposed.
“You pass, welcome to the staff of the Chortling Chunin, and Fisherman’s Delight......a Taki Maki Restaurant Company.” He’d clap both gentleman on the back, a mark seal forming on the shoulder blades of Seeichi. If they were to be his employees, he’d need to find them, standard boss employee relations. At least, that’s what he’d tell HR.......which was himself so there was little chance of their being an issue.
“Well then.........let me show you the place...”. He wouldn’t have done it if he hadn’t been drinking. He’d been trying to stay on the down low, but something about this out of chaos, the sake, and the chill in the air was bringing back corporeal ghosts that wanted him to have a little fun. The trickster of times gone by, what a time it had been. Making a couple handseals a golden bubble encapsulated both of the other Shinobi. “Next stop......Rock Country!” He’d shout to the bar at large. Of course it was a lie, but he didn’t want people coming and finding him that easily. “O by the way Shin.......say hi to your wife for me!” The final words causes a mass of people to stand up and a chucked bottle, but the bubble collapsed and the trio was gone before then.
Working to hold Eliwood up, he’d motion for Seeichi to help him with the drunk monk that had just most likely teleported for the first time. “Let’s get you boys a room, and then a shower, you both need to doll up some to work for me.” He’d start walking towards a small inn within the town his restaurant was in.
