Mission Details
As Taichi was limping his way back to Suna after his last mission in the outposts and his fight with Dirty Dan, he decided that he was not going to be able to make it in one trip. His fight with Dirty Dan was incredible that it gave Taichi the ability to fight someone and not actually have to kill them. While being a Missing Ninja and a criminal in a lot of ways. He still wanted to work on his restraint, he wanted to not prove to anyone other than himself, that he could in fact do it. He leaned against a tree that sat in the middle of the ocean of sand. He rested for a while watching the oranges, purples, and blues in the evening desert sky. The beauty was something to behold, he couldn’t believe the beauty this broken and morally bankrupt world still had to offer. He knew that the world in and of itself was not evil, how could it be? The world was a rock floating in space that had really no care about good or evil, for it could not make a choice based on those statutes. It was those who inhabited the world that were evil, he was among them, and he knew it.
He knew that he was evil, he knew that he was a criminal. But he wasn’t always this way, he used to be one of the kindest people you could meet. He loved almost everyone and he did everything he could to help others. He wanted to become a higher up in the Sand village, maybe even the Kage, but he now knew that those dreams were far too hopeful. The village system that they lived in was flawed and was driven by greed and power, much like pretty much all governments were. He didn’t hate the village system more, he just hated all government together and thought that any time you give absolute power to anyone, no matter what, it only takes a little bit of time before the power and greed gets into their minds and steeps in there, it sits as the evil thoughts begin to manifest into evil intentions. This evil that infiltrates one mind and heart will spread, this spreading will begin to show in your everyday decisions. You will begin to become more greedy, more short tempered, having less empathy for others. This is then what can create warlords and the like. Taichi was one of the many that had gotten to face the blunt end of evil people and their intentions.
The night that Suna had been brought down to her knees. Taichi had lost what seemed like everything. He lost his soon to be wife and her family, he lost his home, and he lost his way. He felt a helplessness that no one should ever have to feel. The feeling of not being able to do anything while your entire life is either killed or falls apart directly before your eyes. Just watching and praying that things will get better, but they don’t, they only continue to get worse. This is what happened to Taichi that night, he couldn’t help but to feel absolutely miserable when he lost everything. So he decided to run, he ran as far away as he could before getting exhausted to the point of collapse. When he finally fell, he landed in a small town at the edge of the country of fire, where Konohagakure no Sato was located. He wandered the forests for weeks or months, he honestly didn’t know how long he had been gone. He walked through the forests and went from small town to small town, stealing money when he could and needed, using that to buy himself more alcohol. He had tried killing himself for pretty much the entire time he was gone.
Drinking himself to death almost every single day, trying to finally have the one morning where he didn’t wake up. He wouldn’t have cared if it was by someone killing him over his thefts, the cold winter nights brought, or the alcohol that he was consuming in mass quantities. All he knew was that he wanted death to bring him to another plane, to another place of existence that wasn’t the one he was currently living in. He wanted nothing more than to just forget, but no matter how hard he tried, the agony of watching his family, home, and future die in a matter of less than an hour, brought him down to a point of depression that he did not think he would be pulled out of.
Finally after months of continuing to wake up in the morning against his will, he finally decided to go back to Suna to see what had become of his once beloved home, his once beloved Sunagakure No Sato. He could still remember the day that he had gone back to see the scorched village gates, entire pieces being completely scorched to literal rubble. The corpses that were piled up high along the steps that set on both sides of the gates. The stench of death that covered the massive mounds of sand that surrounded the entirety of the village. He often wondered what it would have been like to just have stayed? Sure he likely would have died, but at least he could have stayed in his home and died alongside his fiance, at least he wouldn’t have had to live every single day and sleep every single night with the sound of her screams echoing in his mind on repeat with no hope of it stopping.
He was still leaning on the tree, doing his best to tend to the wounds that he had sustained during his fight with that massive bastard leading the bandit outposts. While Taichi may have won the fight, Dan sure did a number on him. He could feel his ribs that were either cracked or pretty damn close. He saw the bruises that he had all over his body from his gigantic hands slamming into him. Taichi laughed as he slowly lowered his shirt back down. He slowly got up from leaning on the tree when he felt like he had the energy to hit the road again.
He began walking down the road once again, but he decided that he felt that there was still more money to be made out on the borders. While he may not have been in the greatest of shape at the moment, he knew that he still needed a lot more money. He pushed himself to go back into the wealthy section of houses that he had robbed a few days earlier. Knowing that the people who lived in the area would be on their toes and looking for someone that may be there to rob them. He was going to need to be extra stealthy when it came to his next mark.
Taichi had walked just long enough that he was able to see the terrain switch between the desert to a split where you could see the forests mingle in with the sand. He knew that he was getting close, seeming how his surroundings were beginning to look familiar from the last time he had visited. As he got closer, he noticed some less than reputable people gathering around a little distance from the neighborhood that he was heading to. He decided to walk up to the gathering and ask them just what was going on and why they were gathering in such a conspicuous way. The ones gathered faced Taichi and he told what was going on.
“The word is, a rich noble has just moved into the area. The money this guy has must be one hell of a haul for how many people have gathered. Some of these guys have been here for a day or two trying to analyze this guy’s schedule. But so far, he hasn’t left his house once after he moved in. No one has been able to even see him. But the guards he’s got in the front are pretty tough so no one has really tried to get close either.”
Taichi smiled and he began plotting his entire scheme. He first took a slow walk in front of the house that the gathering of thieves had talked about. Taichi took a quick glance with his Sharingan, hoping to be able to notice any small glimpse of an opening that he would be able to exploit and get himself inside the house without being noticed. As he took his quick gaze, he was impressed with how well built of a house this was, there was no weak windows or walls. A very sturdy building, but he knew that there was a way in. He just needed to find it.
As he was walking, he didn’t realize just how long he had stared at the building until one of the guards came up to him and pushed him.
“Hey what the hell do you think you’re doing? Get moving or we will kill you.”
Taichi was surprised the balls on this guard, coming up to a random passerby and threatening him with death. Taichi looked at the man for a moment, with his Sharingan deactivated as to not give the guard any reason to attack. Taichi smiled at him and tried to strike up a conversation.
“Oh my apologies. I was looking at the marvelous structure right here. I can’t believe just how beautiful it-” The guard cut Taichi off form finishing his sentence.
“Save it. I know you’re kind. You’re a thief trying to scope the place so you can find your spot to enter without being noticed. Just like that damned group of thieves that is gathered at the end of the street. I honestly don't know why they believe that they are being sneaky, I see them and know what they are doing. We all do. Just like we know you are one of them. Get out of here now. If I see you again, you will be dead. Understand this.”
Taichi grinned at the guard and nodded his head,
“Well, sir. You do drive a hard bargain. You have a great day.” Taichi told the guard as he began walking away.
Taichi knew that the guards were going to be tough so he wasn’t at all surprised. He was surprised at the level of hostility right off the bat, maybe he was having a bad day. Or maybe that was going to be his way in. Genjutsu had been his friend as of late, and he figured that that might be the way he was going to get in. Being that he was dealing with a noble, a rich one at that, he knew that there was going to be a lot of guards. But not only just the ones outside, he was sure he was also going to have to deal with some inside also.
“These are the times I wish I had a Byakugan. Then I would be able to take note of all of the people that were inside and out, be able to make a better plan that way.” Taichi moaned.
Taichi walked past the house and began to walk around the corner, he knew that he was going to be followed, so he decided to lean against the stone post that stood in the corner, waiting for the next target of his Genjutsu to come after him. Hopefully he would be able to use his Genjutsu in a way to have the guard enter the building for him. He knew that in some literature that he had read, the Sharigan can produce a genjutsu that can actually allow Taichi to control the mind of the target, as a form of mind control. What he would do with this mind control, he still wasn’t entirely sure. But he knew that he was going to use that if anything so he could actually practice the technique and get used to actually using it.
y
Taichi was right in his thinking that he’d be followed. He stood up when he saw the guard came up to him again. But just before he put his hand on Taichi to push him over, Taichi activated his Sharingan and stared into his eyes, not yet applying the Sharingan Genjutsu on him just yet. Taichi grabbed the man’s hands and deflected them, grabbing the back of the guard’s head and staring directly into his eyes. The guard went limp for a moment, then stood up straight. Taichi was not going to put this one through his usual mental torture, instead, he was going to have his new friend scope out the house for him, making it to where he would know exactly what he was going to be getting himself into before even entering into the house. Taichi told the guard to enter the home and scope out any possible entrances and exits. He also wanted to know just when and where the changing of the guard happened. All of these things would make for great intel when it comes to getting whatever treasure he could get his hands on inside the rich nobles house.
That reminded Taichi, he also needed to know where the rich noble was. Was he in the house? Was he out, but only in town? He needed to know the answer to these questions. He stopped the guard from turning the corner and also asked him to gain that information for Taichi as well. The guard nodded as he began turning back toward the corner, he walked over to the house and he began his forced recon for Taichi.
Taichi knew that it would take him a little while to gather all of the information for him, so he decided to go for a walk through the land of rivers. He gazed at the waters of one of the many rivers near the town he was in. Even though he was born and raised in the harsh sands of the desert, there were few things he loved more than the rushing of natural water sources. He loved the sounds that they made, and he loved feeling the power of the water push against his hand when he would feel the temperature of the water with his hands.
As he walked along the river, he tried to think where his life was going towards. He was going down the line of becoming a true rogue ninja, a mercenary, a criminal. He thought about what Hana would think about Taichi as he was today. He thought of what his mother would think of what he had become. His father. Everyone in his life from before the destruction of Suna. Would they approve of him? Most likely not. He knew that they would have been sad and disappointed in Taichi as he was. But he knew that the one he was before was useless. Nothing but a log in the way of progress. He couldn’t do anything that night, he couldn’t do anything. He wanted to, he wanted nothing more than to help. But all that got him was the never ending torture that was his fiance’s screams trapped in his mind as an echo. The vision of watching as his family be crushed to death by their own ceiling that had caught fire during the battle in Suna. He wanted nothing more than to go back before the destruction and flee with his family before they had died, but that was impossible. This was the future that they had earned and this was the future that Taichi was going to have to deal with.
While the life of being a criminal was not the life that he had ever imagined for himself, but it did indeed have its perks. He had more money than he had ever had before. He also had the freedom to do whatever he pleased, whenever he pleased. He never liked all of the rules that he needed to follow when he lived in the village of Sunagakure. But he always just dealt with it so he could be still in the safety that the village did provide to him. But then, the night that Suna was brought to her knees, the safety that came with the village was destroyed and he no longer had a reason to stay in Suna. So when he left, he was given the chance to travel, and when he was granted that liberty, this was when he realized the fact that he never really like the desert. He always knew that something was wrong with where he lived, he just didn’t know exactly what.
He realized that he didn’t like the desert, he didn’t like the sand or the heat. He didn’t like almost anything that came with being inside the desert, but now with the liberty to travel, he could live anywhere he wanted. Even if it was only for a night or a week. He was still able to find the perfect place for him to live. As of right now, he was enjoying the land of rivers, all of the natural water sources was a huge culture shock when coming in from the desert. The dirt and soil instead of the sand and rock. The cooler temperatures with the beautiful sound of natural water flowing through the Earth, rather than the still sounds of wind blowing against the mounds of sand that covered almost the entirety of the land of wind. While the destruction of the village of Suna was certainly a massive shift in Taichi’s life, he was almost thankful that it had happened. It gave Taichi the chance to live the life that he truly wanted. The ability to travel whenever and to wherever he wanted. He wasn’t entirely engulfed in the criminal aspect of his life, he was at least happy with the freedom.
Taichi came back to the same corner that he had first trapped the guard in his genjutsu, he waited for the return of the guard. After waiting for another hour, he was beginning to wonder just where exactly his guard was. He looked around the corner and he saw another guard coming his direction, he had blood on his vest and he had a katana in his hand. He looked as though he was looking for someone, he was sure that he was looking for the one that had placed the guard under the genjutsu. He figured this had to be the reason when he noted the fact that the guard had still not arrived and figured that he must have gotten captured trying to ask unusual questions about where the noble was and when he was going to get back. Taichi knew that his plan of using the guard was shot, but he still wanted to keep the stealth that he had up through this point. He quickly turned the corner and began running to the backside of the noble’s house. He could hear the footsteps of his pursuer begin to quicken. Taichi was not entirely sure what to do at this point, other than to kill the man who was coming towards him. Taichi activated his Sharingan and he waited around the corner for the guard to come around and he was going to get a cheap shot on him, hopefully knocking him out so Taichi could quickly get into the house and try to avoid the other guards inside.
As Taichi waited at the corner, he heard the footsteps abruptly disappear. Taichi had his Sharingan activated and was looking around, waiting to see if he could find where the guard had gone. Taichi started looking around the corner, then he was hit from behind. Taichi’s vision blurred and he fell to the floor, unconscious.
Taichi’s eyes slowly opened a little while later. He was tied to a chair, he was tied down with some rope and was unable to move. Suddenly, a man came through the door that he was in front of him. The man came in, holding the guard that he had placed under Genjutsu over his shoulder. The man threw the first onto the floor in front of Taichi’s feet. He then came closer until he had set his hand on Taichi’s forehead.
“I don’t like you ninjas, you’re scum of the Earth and I wish you’d all just die already. But unfortunately, you’re still here. That just means that I get to kill you slowly and maybe even make a lawn ornament out of you. Show the other thieves that come around this area that I don’t play around with you criminal bastards.”
Saying the last words of his sentence, he thrusted Taichi’s head back forcefully and walked over to a tray that was covered in all kinds of utensils he assumed were used for torture. Taichi saw the tools and he quickly began to think about what he could do to get out of this situation. Taichi activated his Sharingan and waited for the man to turn around to look him in the eye. But just before he turned back around, the man left the room suddenly.
Taichi struggled for a few moments to get out of the chair, but the rope was not going to give. He finally looked at the bindings, and performed the Fire Stream technique to catch them on fire. The ropes began to burn, while at the same time burning Taichi’s arms. He winced in pain, but he knew that if he could push through this little pain, he would be able to fight the man who was convinced that he was going to torture Taichi.
Taichi freed his first hand, but just before he was able to free his other hand. The man blew through the door again with a blindfold over his eyes, he figured this was so he could not be affected by the Sharingan’s Genjutsu. Taichi rose his first hand to block the strike coming by the man, but was unable to block the second strike and was hit directly in the jaw and sent hurling toward the wall. He slammed into the wall and the chair he was tied to had shattered upon the impact of the wall. Taichi was just about to raise his hand again to get himself up, but the man was already directly on top of Taichi. He planted a knee directly into Taichi’s sternum, knocking the wind right out of him. He then sent an elbow directed for Taichi’s head, attempting to split it right open based on the force applied to the elbow. Fortunately for Taichi, he was able to roll out of the way, still trying to catch his breath. Taichi saw the man coming with his Sharingan, and block the strike and finally sent one back his direction. Taichi blocked the man’s overhead strike with his left forearm, and sent a right hook directly for the man’s kidney. The man’s eyes widened and he spit out a small amount of blood, directly onto Taichi’s vest. Taichi then grabbed the man shirt and threw him against the wall. Taichi took in as deep of a breath as he could, and after gathering his chakra, he let out a stream of fire directly for the man’s location. The man was unable to dodge the fire and was hit by it directly. The man began screaming in pain and agony when the fire had hit him. Taichi could hear the blood curdling scream and he felt a sudden pull to help him. The scream triggered his mind to remember Hana. The screams of the man changed into the screams of Hana. Taichi suddenly felt the need to help him. But it was too late. Shortly after, he died. Taichi felt the guilt that he had felt that night when Hana had died. Taichi sprinted to the man, trying to put him out. He tried desperately, knowing that he was already dead. Taichi couldn’t stop hearing Hana’s screams echoing in his mind. The pain struck his heart and he fell to his knees. Apologizing to the man repeatedly.
After an hour of this, Taichi finally dried the last tear and he came back to his feet. He grabbed the small amount of money that he found in the same basement that he was stuck in. He was going to search the rest of the house, but he felt that he had taken too much already. While the guilt still filled his heart and his sadness covered his mind, he still did need the money.

Mission Details
As Taichi was on his way back to Suna, he decided to raid a few Bandit outposts to continue to hone his skills, trying to become a killing machine. That way when he came into real combat with someone who actually had some skills, he would have some sort of an idea as to what he was doing in real combat. He was only a few hours walk away from Suna, but he decided to take a detour to take out his third bandit outpost that riddled the sand with their disgusting presence. While he didn’t really count them as disgusting because they were criminals, in that way he was on an equal playing field, maybe even worse than some. He had killed plenty of people in the recent past, and based on how many of these bandits fought, they had probably not been able to claim the same for themselves.
Taichi noticed something interesting about each of the outposts that he had raided. Every single one of the outposts were laid out in a similar way. Every tent and building was placed in the same spot, no matter what. This was something that usually only happened when it was part of a larger organization. When they begin to create a larger order, they like to contain it by having all of their outposts in the most efficient order possible. Taichi was interested so he went back to the outposts that he had raided before. He hadn’t killed all the bandits in the first two. So he figured he could listen to any bandits and see who it was that they were working for.
He walked through the third outpost, in search of any clues that he could find that would aid him in his investigation at the other two outposts. He went through the room that he found the leader of the outpost sleeping and he began looking through all of the documents that were strewn about the desk after Taichi was finished with the bodyguard the he had guarding the sleeping leader. He picked the body up and tossed it to the side. Once cleared, he began inspecting all of the documents that laid on the table. As he continued through the documents, he became more and more sure that this outpost was laid out by a man named “Dirty Dan”.
“Well… It’s not the most original name. I just hope it doesn’t actually imply his personal hygiene.”
Taichi grabbed a couple of the documents off of the desk so he would be able to compare the signature that he found at the bottom of the documents on the desk. He put the papers in his backpack and he began moving toward the exit of the tent. As he neared the exit, he could hear a couple wagons enter the outpost. Curious, Taichi stopped and crouched by the door of the building he was in. He looked out of one of the windows, activated his Sharingan so he would be able to read the lips of the men who had just entered the premises. As the men began searching through the outpost, they were talking about how their boss was not going to be happy that three of their outposts were raided, one of which being completely emptied of all the bandits therein. Taichi blushed when he heard them talk about how their boss was not going to be happy. He didn’t get to ruin a crime boss' every day, so he would relish in the times that he did get to complete such a feat.
He continued to watch as the bandits walk through the outpost, trying to find anything or anyone. Knowing that this would include him and sooner or later they were going to try the leader’s cabin, he began thinking about an escape route. He knew that he could probably handle the new bandits that had just arrived, but he figured it would be best to save his energy and chakra for any kind of real fight that wouldn’t be able to be avoided. He checked the entirety of the building to see if there was a window that was not currently having someone within view of said window. He wanted to try and crawl out of a window in the building, hide in some bushes to get an opening to sprint out of the gate before anyone was able to see him or catch him.
He checked the back window that led out of the bathroom of the cabin. He looked in all directions, trying to find a proper path that would get him out of the cabin without being seen. When he looked out of the window, he didn’t see anyone yet, so he decided to quickly open the back window and hop out. Just as he was hopping out of the window, he heard someone’s footsteps coming around the corner of the cabin, checking for someone doing the exact thing that Taichi was doing at that moment. When Taichi had seen his newfound opponent. Taichi activated his Genjutsu with his Sharingan. The moment the bandit’s eyes met Taichi’s, he fell to his knees. This is when Taichi ran up to the bandit and slammed his knee directly into his temple. The bandit fell to the floor, unconscious. Just as the body fell, he quickly checked around the corner to see if any of the rest of the bandits had heard the commotion. Taichi didn’t see any commotion among the other bandits that were searching the site, so he figured he was in the clear.
As Taichi inched his way, going from cover to cover, he finally made it to the nearest wall. All he had to do now was to climb the wall, and head out to the other two outposts before possibly returning back home to Suna. At least he hoped so, he wasn’t entirely sure what he would find on this mission, but he was sure it was going to be an interesting day out in the desert.
He poked his head out of the bushes he was hiding in to check the surroundings one more time. He checked to make sure he wasn’t spotted, then began to sprint up the wall. As he sprinted up the wall, he could hear people clamoring about the bodies that Taichi had left in the outpost, but luckily for him, he was already over the wall and on his way to the next outpost.
He found himself on the same path that the previous bandits had used to get to the third outpost, it seemed as though the path he was on was created by their wagons going back and forth. While it was nowhere near as clear as a main road. You could still tell this was an established roadway used by the bastards of the outposts. As he walked down the path for an hour or two, he began to hear wagons and people’s talking coming up behind him. He activated his Sharingan to see what was coming with better detail.
He looked behind him and he could see the same caravan that was inspecting the third outpost, now heading to the second to warn the people that were there, about a certain someone or someone’s who may be coming to “clear out” any who remained at the other two outposts. Taichi cleared off of the road as quickly as he could and hid inside some bushes. He didn’t really care if they told the remaining people, but he did want to keep the ability to not have everyone already be alerted before he even got there. So waited in that bush until all three wagons were in range. He sat there, ready to perform the Horse hand seal for one of his Fire style techniques, Great Fire Annihilation. As the carts came closer, he could hear one of the bandits yelling out how he was going to be a father. While he did note that this was an odd time to share the information, the fact of the new father on the wagon triggered a certain emotion in Taichi’s heart. He never truly wanted to become a killer like he had. He wanted to be the opposite, the protector of lives, rather than the taker of them. He knew that this was not an option due to the fact that he was now a criminal. He knew that that was behind him anyway. He knew that he wanted nothing more than to stay away from the damned village system that had killed his hope of having an honest future.
His mind was a warzone for a few moments as he fought himself over the idea of taking the father away from an innocent child. Ultimately he decided that he didn’t care about the child, he didn’t care about the soon to be father, just like the people who destroyed Suna didn’t care about him and his family. He knew he was no better than them. He didn’t want to be, he only wanted to live his life with his family, but he couldn’t do that anymore. He lost them because of stupid aspirations and evil intentions. So why the hell do they get to live comfortably in their villages while he was stuck in the lawless, filthy remnants of his once beloved village? Anger swelled in Taichi as he began watching the wagons go by. His snarl became louder and turned into a yell. He leaped out of the bushes while performing the horse hand seal. His piercing eyes directed fully at the caravan. He then blew out a massive cloud of fire, completely swallowing the caravan in a hot cloud of fire, burning them all to complete ash. The screams were incredible as the flames had burned the men alive, and as Taichi finished blowing out the giant cloud of fire, the screams fell silent.
The fire had dissipated and he inspected the carts, as he looked more and more, he confirmed that there was nothing left but ash and a couple pieces of wood that were still on fire from the wagons. He walked through the ash covered ground and felt no remorse. He knew these men were evil, just like he was. He had hoped the next outpost didn’t hear the screams or see any of the smoke produced. But he was sure they would. They wouldn’t know why, so his presence should be safe. But they would certainly be on a higher alert with the sight of the smoke and their pursuit team not coming back. When he was done inspecting the ashes that he had created, he continued down the road and headed to the next outpost.
As he neared the outpost, he remembered the man who was going to be a father. He thought of what life would have been like if he had the chance to become a father in Suna, before the destruction of course. He thought that he would have been a good father. He would have been strict and firm, but kind and just at the same time. He loved children then. Hana and Taichi had thought about it, they had spoken about it multiple times when they were dating for almost five years in the village. He knew that she was the one, but unfortunately for him, and her. She was gone, and it was all the fault of the same evil intentions that he shared with the villages now. All he wanted was to watch the villages burn and for all of the Kage to know that it was their own actions that caused their own destruction. While Taichi had big plans for the future, he also knew that he was far from reaching that goal, so he needed to push himself harder and harder every day. He needed to get stronger if he was going to start a war with all the nations, but with enough hard work, he knew he could do it. Even if it meant his death, this was his endgame.
He was nearing the second outpost at this point so he decided to go up a large sand dune and check to see what the numbers looked like at the second outpost compared the first time he snuck through and raided their resources. He saw that the numbers seemed to have double, so he figured it safe to assume they abandoned their first outpost because of the “recent incidents” that had been happening. Taichi figured that it was going to be harder to sneak in, but nothing that he couldn’t handle. He went down the large sand dune and he began inspecting the walls for a good way to get in with all of the added numbers in the second outpost.
He thought about going through the same hole in the wall that he had gone through earlier that day, but he had checked that spot and it had been patched. Going through their patch would have been too loud, so he needed another way in. He waited for a while and decided to listen to the conversations being had in the building that had all of the leaders inside. He was on a sand dune that was just high enough for him to be able to see over the wall, he had his Sharingan activated so he could read the lips of the men just outside the leader’s building. He learned that there was going to be a perimeter check on the outside of the gates very soon.
This gave Taichi an idea. He could use the simplest jutsu that he knew, the Transformation jutsu. He’ll kill the perimeter check group, take the identity of one of the members claiming that he got away. Then he would tell the entire compound that the guy who killed the caravan and everyone at the third compound. They would obviously get up in arms due to them being bandits and not a very organized army, then hopefully they would all rush the gate, except for the leaders. Leaders don’t usually want to get their hands dirty. So they would hopefully stay either in their building, or stay on top of the wall. This is when Taichi would be able to sift through their documents to get a little more info on this Dirty Dan character.
Taichi watched as the perimeter check group of four left the outpost. He thought of how he was going to kill them all, after taking a good look to one of the members, the one that he was going to take the identity of. He snuck up on the group and he came up with an idea. He saw the one in the back had a katana in its sheath on his right hip, this was going to help him a little bit, once this group had gotten a little more distance from the outpost. The group had been talking a little bit about a big, fat guy who acted like he ran the place. Taichi was sure they were talking about the Dirty Dan guy so he decided to listen for a few minutes.
“That Dirty Dan guy is kind of an asshole, who the hell does he think he is?”
“Yeah he is, but he also is the one who is taking over pretty much all of the other crime boss’ in Wind Country. He has been clearing other rackets like crazy for the last couple months.”
“Yeah and you would think that would be a good thing. Thing is, he gets all the money from that. While we are the ones who are going to have to bear the brunt of the attack of any merc or assassin that they hire when they have had enough.”
“Yeah… I guess you’re right. Well at least for now we get to make some money and to be honest. I am done with this life, I have been thinking about “going missing” during one of our checks and running off somewhere, I don’t even care where. I just want to get out and finally start living an honest life, have a family, all of that.”
“I hope you do, man. I have been thinking the same. I get tired of the same old thing every day. I have been saving up the money I’ve been making doing this and I think I finally have enough to start a life in a village or anywhere really. Just waiting for the right time to finally get out of here and do it.”
The other two in the back of the four man squad spoke harshly to them, saying that this is the only life worth living and they shouldn’t think so easily of betraying their employer. Taichi had another one of those battle zone moments in his mind. He wanted to kill them all, he didn’t care about their own lives. Their lives meant nothing, much like his own. But he also felt that he could deliver some of these bandits from their dishonest lives and give them a chance to do better. Taichi fought himself for a while as he followed the group, he knew that the fate of these men were in his hands and he wasn’t entirely sure what he was going to do with that fact. He could kill all of them and have less to worry about, or he could let the two men leave, and try to make a better life for themselves.
As the time finally came for him to make his decision, they were at the best position away from the outpost, being that they were out of the view of the people inside the outpost. He readied himself for an attack. Taichi got closer to the group, thinking he had the decision in his mind that he was going to go with. He was within a meter of the group when he began his plan.
He grabbed the katana off of the first person’s hip, quickly thrusting it through the lower jaw of the other bandits in the back of the 4 man squad. As he pulled the katana out of the man’s head, he kicked the other bandit in the back of the four man squad directly into his sternum, making blood spill out of his mouth. He swung from low to high, directly through the bandits head. The two men in the front had just had enough to even react when they looked at Taichi and they pleaded to keep their lives. Taichi smiled and threw the katana onto the ground.
“Go. I heard you were planning on leaving. Go now and make a better life for yourself. If I see you go back into this type of life again. Don’t think I will show kindness twice. So begone, forever.”
Taichi stared into both men’s eyes. They shook for a second, then they sprinted off into the horizon. Taichi smiled as he watched the two bandits run off. He walked over the two dead bodies of the other bandits and he transformed into the form of one of the bandits that had run off. Just before he initiated his plan, he created a clone of himself and had it run away in clear sight of everyone in the outpost. Then in his new form, he ran over to the front of the outpost and he began to yell and scream. Saying that someone had killed the perimeter check group and he was just able to get away. He was coming this way and that everyone should run out to meet the threat before he came and killed them all. He pointed toward the clone he created, that was slowly running away from the gates of the outpost.
Almost immediately the whole outpost turned into a frenzy of knives and blades being drawn at once and almost the whole outpost cleared out, except for a leader and what seemed like a bodyguard in front of the leader building of the outpost. He limped over to the leader building, checking to make sure there were no one else that he needed to worry about. As he walked over to the leader building, he was stopped by the bodyguard. Taichi in his transformed state apologized for being in the wrong area. Then the bodyguard came closer to him to help him over to the infirmary tent. Taichi reached as though he was going to reach over his head to accept his help walking, when he suddenly grabbed the man’s windpipe and crushed it. The large bodyguard fell to his knees, trying to yell, but couldn’t. Taichi kicked the man’s skull as hard as he could, the man’s head recoiled back from the force of the kick and he laid lifeless.
He walked over to the leader building and entered. As he walked into the room, he heard a very loud and booming voice coming from the other end of the building.
“Who the hell is it!? Why aren’t you going after the bastard who killed the perimeter group. Hell, he was probably the same piece of shit who cleared out the caravan we sent out earlier. Lord only knows what he did to the third outpost. Doesn’t he know who I am? What I am trying to create here?!”
Taichi walked over to the man. He was an extremely heavyset man, looking to be almost four hundred plus pounds. He wore a white suit and he had a bald head. He had hands bigger than Taichi had ever seen. As he came into view, the large man stood straight up and started running toward Taichi. Taichi was confused as to what was going on. He had done nothing to trigger alarm. As he stood up, Taichi noticed he had a tattoo on his neck saying “Dirty Dan.” This was the man that he was after all along. This was the man that needed to be taken down a peg and prevented from creating a monopoly of criminal power in the area of Suna.
As Dan ran toward Taichi, Taichi activated his Sharingan. But just before he was able to activate his Genjutsu, Dan had ran directly into Taichi, throwing him to the wall.Taichi slammed into the wall hard enough to hear a crack, he wasn’t entirely sure if it was his body or the wall.
“Damn. This bastard can hit.” Taichi thought to himself.
He quickly got to his feet and dodged Dan’s follow up attack. He rolled over to the side and he was activated his Sharingan: Genjutsu, but he noticed that the man had his eyes closed as he ran toward Taichi.
“Heh. You think you’re little tricks will work against me? I have dealt with your kind before.” Dan said, laughing at Taichi’s attempts.
Taichi immediately changed his thought process. He was relying far too much on the genjutsu, he didn’t even think about this man being accosted by a Sharingan before. Taichi narrowly dodged the man’s charge and he immediately got into a fight stance. He waited for Dan’s charge, when Dan decided to change tactics. He grabbed the table that was sitting right next to him and threw it toward Taichi. Taichi ducked low to dodge the table, but Dan had already begun his charge and he slammed Taichi chin with an uppercut that launched him into the air. Taichi hit the ceiling and fell back to the floor, hitting hard onto his right shoulder. Taichi tried to get back up onto his feet when he got kicked square into his ribcage. He spat a little bit of blood out of his mouth and realized that he didn’t really know what to do.
Taichi calmed his mind and focused on the fight and trying to find an opening. He used his Sharingan to predict his movements. He saw the next fist coming towards his head when he rolled out of the way. But just before he could counter, he also saw Dan beginning to throw another Haymaker at Taichi while rolling. He leaped to the side to get behind Dan, but Dan had predicted as much when dropped backwards, attempting to land on top of Taichi. Taichi slid just out of his body’s range. But Dan then reached up with his hand and grabbed Taichi’s leg so he couldn’t get away. Taichi used his other leg to slam into Dan’s face. Dan let go of Taichi’s leg to block any additional strikes to his head. Taichi immediately flipped over to be eye to eye to Dan and activated his Sharingan: Genjutsu.
Dan, ensuring his eyes still worked after the kick directly to it, opened his eyes and the only thing he could see was Taichi’s Sharingan eyes staring directly back into his. Dan tried to resist, but it was too late. He was already trapped in his Genjutsu. Dan began to scream, only to be met with an elbow directly to his temple. Dan fell unconscious and Taichi went through all of the desk that Dan was originally sitting at. He found himself some money and all of his future plans of expansion and his roadways that he was planning. He figured these would come in handy to another crime boss that he could level the playing field for just a little bit.
He coughed a few times, with only a little blood coming out. He tried patching himself up a little bit before he would try and make the trek back to Suna. Once he was patched up, he made sure Dan was still out and wasn’t about to grab him on the way out the door. Taichi slowly limped out of the door and checked to see if the mob had returned. He saw that they were on the way back to camp, so he was going to need to act pretty fast so they wouldn’t see him. He ran out the door, as fast as his limp could take him, and went through a small hole in the wall that he had seen by the leader’s building.
As he left the outpost, he could hear the commotion that seemed to be erupting as the bandits that were returning were beginning to put all of the pieces together as to what had just happened. Taichi laughed as he began his long limp back to Suna.

Taichi had been making quite the waves during his last few weeks roaming the borders, taking contracts almost every day. He had been working on mastering his dojutsu, being the Sharingan. He finally unlocked his third tomoe in his eyes and he was so proud of himself, being that he had been able to gain the highest level of skill in his Dojutsu in what felt like no time. He had only been back from his tirade of suicidal thoughts and tendencies for a week or so, and now he had already mastered what he had only read and heard about before the destruction of Suna. But now, he was going to continue on his path and begin learning new jutsu and begin to master all of the techniques that he already knew. He had been spending a lot of time with only a small few techniques in his arsenal, that was something that he needed to fix. He knew that there was going to come a time that he was going to need to expand his arsenal if he was going to become a ninja feared by even the Kage. But for now, he was going to enjoy the sight that was the land of river. He had just completed a small task in the middle of a small town out in nowhere, delivering a dowry to a woman who was extremely dressed up for her wedding. So now, he was sitting next to the river enjoying the beautiful music that was the water rushing next to him.
He was pondering the importance of life, and the nobleman that he had killed with his fire stream technique. He was terrified to use his fire techniques on anyone because he knew just how painful it was to die by fire. The screams that the body produces are nothing but haunting. The fear that the mind has trapped when one is on fire, is truly awesome and is something that can stick inside your mind and never go away. He was still being tormented by the screams of his would be wife Hana, but now he was being tormented by a whole new sound. The scream of the nobleman that he had burned to death. The moment the flames had caught the man, he wanted nothing more than to put him back out. But it was no use, no matter how hard he tried, the flames continued to burn. By the time he was extinguished, the man had already died. While the body may have been lacking life, the screams he produced still lived in Taichi’s mind. It was almost like a superpower of his, it was something that he hoped was not going to become commonplace. His mind had an incredible ability of memorizing people’s screams and play them back in his head. The moment these screams played in his head, he would automatically (whether he wanted to or not) play back the actual scene in which he heard the scream in his head. While most times, he was able to work through them, there were times that they could be quite debilitating.
But on that note, Taichi figured it would be best for him to get back on the road. He hadn’t gotten much ground covered in the time that he had been completing tasks and contracts so he decided to continue down the border for this seemed to be where the money truly was for him. As he walked along the waters, he admired the beauty as the sun glistened off of the surface of the water, he knew the water was a fast rushing river. This was something that he admired about water. It always looks so inviting on the surface, always looks so beautiful. But if you are to actually go into the water, and give in to its siren like calls, then you will likely be surprised at just how powerful and strong the currents are underneath the gorgeous exterior. This is what he always thought of a good shinobi as, very meek on the exterior, only it is all an act and is all for the opponents to let their guards down and to be brought in like the siren type calls the waters produce. Then once the opponent is brought in by those very calls, they turn into a complete monster the next second, swallowing whoever was unlucky enough to have been caught by the trap.
Taichi wandered for a little while longer when he began feeling quite hungry. He decided to stop into the very next small town that he ran into to get some food to eat, he saw a sign that gave him directions to the nearest places from that point. He saw that there was a small town with the name Koji just due East another couple hundred meters. Taichi smiled and continued down the path, hoping that something would happen to him that day that would allow him the opportunity to make some more money. Along his travels he had met all kinds of shady folks, but one of them in particular dealt primarily in drugs, but he also had a side hustle in organ trafficking. Taichi didn’t realize just how lucrative these organs could be, but he did understand just why there was such a high demand for the organs that they usually possessed. Many of these organs contained DNA from clans such as the Senju clan. If one would train hard enough, they would actually be able to use the Wood Release techniques. This was a Release that was wide spread news almost everywhere. Wood release was known to be one of the strongest types of elemental transformations could have, knowing this, this was Taichi’s goal. He was trying to save up enough money to be able to afford some Senju DNA because this was something that he would be able to use to become stronger, stronger than many of the Missing Nin, at least he hoped. He realized that he hadn’t spoken to many Missing Nin outside of Stark from Suna. Even with Stark he didn’t know much about, but he figured the DNA would still boost his abilities and make him one step closer to becoming a ninja that the Kage recognized.
As Taichi was walking along the river for a little less than an hour more, he found the small town Koji and he began walking into the small town. He felt something was off but he wasn’t entirely sure what it was. He took a look around with his Sharingan, making sure he wouldn’t miss any small detail. He saw a person who looked to be following Taichi and he wasn’t entirely sure as to why. Taichi turned around and began walking toward the figure that was following him, but just as he turned around and took his first step, the figure ran off. Taichi began feeling very uncomfortable, but he was still wanted to get something to eat so he continued into the town. The closer he got into town, the more he noticed the figured following him. Taichi decided to sprint toward his shadow. The shadow tried to run, but he was not going to outrun Taichi, so he just stood there.
“Why are you following me?” Taichi asked the shadow.
“I was told to find the one called Taichi, I was told that he would be coming through here around this time. Are you Taichi?”
Taichi was stunned by this answer. How exactly was he told that Taichi would be coming through this part of the world at this time? Who was following him and how did he miss it? Questions flooded his mind, but he decided to focus on the conversation at hand.
“Who told you I’d be coming through here? Why are you looking for me?”
“I was told to give Taichi this letter and, if he accepted the contract, to bring him back to the location of the target.” The shadow responded as he pulled out a letter and handed it over to Taichi.
Taichi slowly accepted the letter from the shadow. He grabbed the letter and opened it. As he read the letter, it was an interesting sort of request for Taichi. The letter was a request for Taichi to actually carry out a protection order for the son of a drug lord in the area. Being that this was an unusual request that Taichi had never received before, he began asking the shadow questions.
“Why does this person need protection and why are they asking me?” Taichi asked the shadow, while beginning to walk into town, motioning for the shadow to follow him into town.
The shadow followed Taichi and tried to answer his questions as best as he could. They continued to talk as Taichi walked through the aisles in one of the local stores. Taichi was looking through the books on the shelves for he had finished all of the books that he brought with him. He was hoping that the shopkeeper would trade Taichi for some of the books that he had with him. They were still in great condition and he knew that he wasn’t going to read them again.
When Taichi was finished and had gotten himself a few new books, he left the book store and continued to speak with the shadow. Taichi asked the shadow who he was and why he was involved with all of this. The shadow responded that his name Aito and he was actually the one needing the protection. This made Taichi have tons of questions flow through his mind at once, so he decided to go into one of the local restaurants so they could talk about everything that was going on.
“Okay. So start from the beginning. What exactly is going on. Who is your father? Why are they after you? Who exactly is the “they” that is after you?”
“My father is a man that goes by the name Dirty Dan. He was becoming the leading drug runner in the area, but a few days ago, he was in one of his outpost a few hours outside of the village of Sunagakure when his outposts were attacked. They don’t know who it was that had attacked the outposts, but they did a huge number on my father. The person had put him under some sort of trance just before leaving. He still hasn’t truly snapped out of it yet. He has been lying in his bed for days, switching from screaming or crying and no one really knows what to do. But with him in this condition, it was easy to tell he wasn’t right. This unfortunately led to the word getting out that Dan was getting weak and that it was time to strike. There has already been a few different rival groups have taken over the power vacuum left when my father was put under. This also, unfortunately, put me in a position that without my father, I can’t really protect myself. So now, there has been word that one of the new drug groups have ordered an assasination of me. I guess it is to break my father’s spirit, making him want to never return to the business again. So I was able to gather three thousand and six hundred Ryo to pay someone for protection, I had heard about your deeds in the area by some less than reputable people that were in the Noble’s residential area when you robbed and killed him. So I decided to come and seek you out.”
Taichi was speechless. He had no words that he could put together at that moment. The word of his misdeeds had already began spreading through the world. Looks like there is no going back to a normal life as a ninja. Not that there was really any chance of it anyway. Lucky for Taichi, his father didn’t actually come out of the genjutsu that Taichi had put him under. Also lucky for Taichi, they didn’t know it was him who put him in the “trance” that he was in. Taichi finally nodded to the shadow named Aito. After a minute or two, he finally responded.
“Wow. I’m very sorry about your father. If you could take me to him, I might be able to help. As for your protection, you can count on me. I will help you while your father is out of commission, in the meantime, let’s eat quickly as I have not eaten since yesterday. Once we are done here, we can begin our journey to wherever your father is and hopefully get him back on his feet pretty quickly. Sound good?”
The shadow nodded and pulled out the menu, Taichi looked at the boy and asked him one last question.
“How old are you anyway? Seem too young to be traveling out here on your own, especially if you are needing protection from a mercenary.
The boy nodded and responded by saying he was only twelve years old. Taichi was surprised that such a young child hadn’t been killed on the borders by another Missing Ninja already. Taichi nodded and picked the menu back up from the table. As they finished their meal, they decided to hit the road and get themselves on the way to Dirty Dan. While Taichi was hopeful that he could help this young child, he was also quite concerned exactly what was going to happen when he brought Dirty Dan out of the genjutsu. While Taichi was still in his transformed state when they had their fight, he was still concerned at what exactly was going to happen when they had met. Dan was an angry individual and when he comes to and remembers that a ninja is responsible for putting him into his trance, he may not be too grateful to the ninja that brought him back out of it.
Taichi put that worry on the back of his mind and walked down the path with the young child. Aito was an interesting child, he told Taichi what he knew about his father and his dealings inside the land of wind. Aito spoke about the hardships of going through life without parents, how his mother had died in the gang related activity that his father was part of. Taichi’s heart broke for the child, being that he was so innocent, but had to go through so much garbage because of his father’s evil intentions and criminal ambitions. As the boy spoke, Taichi could notice that he was beginning to choke up on his words and tears began to flow down his face. Taichi placed his hands on the boy’s shoulder and smiled at him. Taichi began to tell the boy the story of his parents. How his mother had been killed by a lowly criminal and his father hanging himself.
As he spoke, Aito felt comforted knowing that there was another person who could understand how hard it is to lose a parent to the evil that lived in the world, and more specifically the land of wind. The boys continued to talk as they walked down the pathway when Taichi could hear something coming up from behind them. Taichi activated his Sharingan and had the boy get down. Just as Aito had ducked down a kunai had flown directly over his head. Taichi found a stone for the boy to hide behind while he dealt with the assassin. Taichi looked over to the assassin, he was about the same height as Taichi, looking to be about the same age too. He didn’t notice anything in his eyes, so he believed that the assassin owned no Dojutsu. Taichi looked over to the boy who Taichi could tell was beginning to get scared. Taichi smiled to the boy and winked at him, trying to comfort him and let him know that it was okay. The boy seemed to calm a little. Taichi got into his fighting stance and readied himself for a fight.
The assassin decided to make the first move. He sprinted toward Taichi and sent a kick directly into his leg, then an uppercut to his chest. Taichi was able to see his movements with his mastered Sharingan, and also was able to anticipate his movements. Taichi dodged the kick, then the uppercut. He grabbed onto the assassin’s arm as it was sent upwards for an uppercut and brought it down to the floor in an armbar. The assassin yelled in pain, trying to break the lock. Taichi had a good grip, he just hoped that his arm would break before the assassin could break the hold. Taichi raised his hips to put extra strain on the joint. Taichi could hear the popping and clicking the joint was making, letting him know that this joint was just about to snap.
Taichi continued to put more pressure onto the joint, until finally he heard the snap. The assassin screamed out in pain from his elbow, but finally slipped his arm through, breaking the lock. He rolled backwards, so now he was in between the boy and Taichi. Taichi looked very quickly to see what he was going to do next. The assassin figured that he wasn’t going to win this fight. But he was still going to try and complete his contract. He grabbed another one of his kunai knives, and threw it directly for the boy’s head. Taichi told the boy to duck, but it was too late. The boy was struck and fell to the floor. Taichi’s anger erupted and he darted for the assassin. He grabbed onto his shirt and activated the fire stream jutsu directly into the assassin’s face. The assassin dropped back and screamed in pain from the burns as the fire began spreading across his entire body. Taichi kicked the burning assassin down to the floor and watched as the bastard burned to death. The screams filling Taichi’s head, he could feel his mind beginning to record the screams, for he could already hear it on repeat. Taichi slammed his foot into the assassin’s head, crushing it and ending the screams for good.
Taichi ran over to the boy, who he was sure was dead. As he got to Aito’s location, he checked his body. The boy began to speak when Taichi found where he had been struck. The kunai has severely lacerated his arm, to the point that it was going to need to be amputated. Taichi picked the boy up and brought him back to the town they were just in. He delivered him to the doctor and they fixed him up. After Aito was let out of the hospital, he brought him to Dirty Dan. Taichi released the Genjutsu that he had placed on him. But before Dan had the ability to come to, Taichi left and hit the road once more. He waved goodbye to Aito, which he reciprocated. Taichi was confused as to why he cared so much for the boy, maybe there was still some good in him, for now anyway.
