Re: Passing on the Torch (Calliope, P)

He eyed her as she spoke, focusing on what she said. She made some points as he acknowledged it by a direct nod. As a matter of fact, himself was a genjutsu teacher with all his life, revolved in it. But some time ago he fell in love with weapons as to which one of them was given by a fellow ninja from his village. It was known Kiriasaki a weapon that was received by when he became the official hogokage. He understood why the previous, Fifth kage Tanji Heiji stepping down to personal reasons. But it wasn’t an issue after all. The duty of a kage meant a lot to him, but with all these ninjas in his village, he was the one to put his life on the line.
Yasaki was based in space-time. But he had nothing else to show her expect one possible jutsu, that was the medical ninjutsu. As a student one who has this type can be useful to them. He would pull out a kunai from his left pocket as he stood up. With the Kunai on his left hand, he cuts his right wrist, slowly. A small portion of blood started to appear and Yasaki eyed Calliope. “ Approach me and simply focus all your chakra whilst staying calm, this is not an issue but a way for you to learn this. It’s basic medical ninjutsu so try it.”

It appeared that Yasaki took some time to process Calliope's answer. Apparently mulling over an idea in his head. One that took Calli by surprise. Suddenly pulling out a knife and cutting his own wrist, blood began to drip from the man's wound.
"Sir forgive me but are you insane?" She would exclaim as she witnessed her Kage wound himself. He held out his arm for her to see and ordered her to come attempt to heal the wound. It was a small cut but she was not sure she could do it.
He told her to focus her chakra calmly on the cut. Basic medical abilities could always come in handy in the field. Even a small cut on somewhere like the neck or forehead could bleed out tons of blood quickly. Having someone able to fix a situation like that could mean the difference between life and death during a mission.
Calli decided that Yasaki was right, it would be worth learning. She raised both of her hands over the cut and began to concentrate her chakra. It poured out slowly at first, but over time she began to let out more. The blood stopped pouring out and the incision closed over a little bit of time.
"Incredible! It wasn't quick and it took concentration but this is a wonderful thing to know." Calli would say excitedly, "Thank you sir, I can use this to help our shinobi in need.

It was painful; it was but arguably not a great idea to cut his wrist, but he somehow wanted her to learn this basic medical ninjutsu. Yeah, she was weaponry user and it wouldn’t hurt a genin like her to have that understanding of it. He looked at his wrist with the blood dripping down. Surely he wouldn’t pass out knowing he had faith she would do it. Yasaki gestured her as she healed the wounds. To be called insane We'll he let out a smile, happy. It was about giving back to the next generation knowing that knowledge was power.
With the blood stopping and slowly witnessing her focusing on her chakra whilst being calm, he activated his Sharingan. “It’s wonderful to know such amazing Jutsu I am glad to teach you it.” He said in a calm tone, eyed her with his three tomoe. If she was looking at him, Calliope would be placed into a genjutsu. A world filled with brutal and blood-shed, she was a part of it and to witness it. The loved one, his mother brutally slaughtered when he was a child, just like that, As an Uchiha, he was capable to do as he cast her into a genjutsu. He was curious to know if she was able to get out even though he didn’t tell her, Yasaki always had a plan.

As the cut slowly faded from his arm a smile would appear on Yasakis face. He was a stern and stone faced man so to see him crack a smile gave Calliope confidence. Using chakra in a way of healing was different than anything she had learned before. It was simple and easy but surprisingly effective.
As the man spoke however, he managed to lock eyes with the girl. In an instant the world around her had faded and been replaced with a gruesome scene. A young child bearing witness to his own mother's murder.
It couldn't be real, she was standing in the village. How could she have been moved to a place like this so quickly? Her mind was racing trying to think of what could have happened. All she could remember was locking eyes with Yasaki, and seeing that they were remarkably red. Could she have been placed in a genjutsu that easily? They taught her about genjutsu at the academy, but Calli was never great at paying attention in class.
She sank to her knees as the scene repeated itself while she was helpless to stop it.

Yasaki placed her into a genjutsu as the world took place he eyed the situation knowing she somehow wasn’t able to get out. For a good couple of minutes, he waited on her as he approached, placing his hands on her head.
He hoped that would break the jutsu as he then spoke. " What you witnessed is I placing you into a world of disaster my intention was for you to break the jutsu, but it seemed you couldn’t.” He said as he then continued. “You must cause your chakra to flow rapidly through your body, that’s how you break it. The genjutsu is weak, don’t doubt yourself. We’ll try again.”
With his Sharingan active he proceeded to look at Calliope, hoping this time she would get it.
“I believe you can do it.”

The grizzly illusions that Calliope was witnessing shattered when a large hand was placed on her head. It was a genjutsu, but it was also another lesson. He wanted her to break free of the jutsu herself. He taught her the trick to it with words, but the only way to know if she had truly learned how to break out of genjutsu was to be placed under one again.
She felt nervous to look at him again. If she couldn't get free, then she would be stuck in that awful place again. Now was not the time for nerves however. This was a chance to grow as a shinobi and a chance to prove herself in front of the Hogokage. She steeled herself and looked up. Yasakis scarlet eyes again sending her into a realm of illusions. This time however she would not be stuck.
The gruesome murder scene was hard to watch again, so Calliope closed her eyes so that she could focus. She had to course her chakra throughout her body for it to work.
"I can do this." She muttered to herself as she began to store up her chakra in one place. Holding it in that spot was beginning to get challenging, but when she released it all Calli could feel the illusion shattering. It was like shaking bad thoughts out of her system.
She looked back up to see Yasaki in front of her and the genjutsu gone. "I did it!" She would cheer excitedly.

As the young girl broke through the genjutsu he set up, a nod appeared. So it was successful she finally broke through this gruesome genjutsu. Yasaki was glad that she did it. It wasn't going to be easy but he applauded her efforts for the second time.
"You progressed so far I got to say you did impress me with your intelligence and aswell not giving up keep doing what you are doing you'll get strong Calliope someday."
