Nibbling the end of a piece of straw, Xijion, better known as 'Romp' was reading adult novels near the gates of the village. The tall muscular pit fighter of the mist was busy giggling to himself as he ogled the bonus drawings and pictures from the piece of 'literature'. As usual, he was donned in his typical attire of a large black mantle with red stripe patterns lined horizontally. He wears black track pants that have a similar pattern as his mantle. Underneath the mantle however is just a plain black tank top and lastly, the footwear of choice for most shinobi being tabi for comfort and mobility. As usual, his duty was to be the gatekeeper and to monitor who enters and who exits the village. Occasionally, he looks up from his 'novel' to see if there was anything out of the ordinary or if there was anything suspicious on the monitor coming in or going out so he went back to taking glances at his book. However, before looking at his book, he had caught sight of a suspicious person attempting to leave through the gates of Kiri without consolidating him first. The person was draped in a cloak and wearing a mask of some kind to hide his identity as they attempted to flee the scene.
Well, that was a red flag immediately going through his head and Romp figured it was go time. Wearing his Jounin Flak jacket and weapon pouch on his hips, he spat out the piece of wheat he was chewing earlier, he got up and dashed towards the person in question intercepting their passage through the village gates. From what Romp could tell, nothing stood out about the character in question. No equipment, no attire, not even a headband. This led Romp to believe this was a foreign shinobi of some kind attempting to flee the nation. He's always wanted to play a police officer and stop criminals. "STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM," Romp yelled at the masked figure as he blocked his path to the harbor. "You have committed crimes against Kirigakure and its people, what say you in your defense." Romp had said, smiling playfully. Not even a second later, he began to roar with laughter, clutching his sides as he couldn't help himself. After a brief moment of laughter, Romp straightened himself up and decided to take the situation a bit seriously, He kept his smile but now the atmosphere around him was different as he began to speak to the masked figure once more.
"Alright, fun's over. I don't know who you are and what your intentions are but I can say with certainty, if you had permission to leave the village from the Mizukage, you wouldn't have to resort to concealing your identity like that. Why don't you take off that mask and let me know who you are so I can have you escorted back into the village and we can forget this incident sorted, aye?" Romp was serious about finding out the person's identity so he had to respond in kind. He was positive this person wasn't a mist shinobi and he aimed to find out who they are.

Bishop Was surprised at being stopped at the village gates. He didn't seem to think that was something that happened here much. his memories of arriving at the village reminded him that there were guards but he supposed that he should have waited to put on his disguise until after he left the village. didn't think it was village ninja he had to disguise himself from.
Lifting the mask he revealed a well-known face in the village. "Hey Romp, I heard it was your day to watch the gate. Guess I gave you a bit of a spook didn't I? I'm sorry but as you can see here," Bishop held up the mission orders that Arc had given him that said he 'Arc' was to participate in bringing down a human trafficker in the borders. It was of utmost, urgency as a young child had recently been kidnapped. "I have orders to carry out a mission. It's very urgent which is why I forgot to stop and let you know I was heading out. and I am traveling through the borders so it's best to keep a low profile as I'm doing the mission alone. Can you really blame me? I'm a chunin and this is my second A-rank mission. I don't know about you but I always try to tip the scales in my favor"
Bishop returned the mission document to his pouch. He stood and waited for a reply which he knew there shouldn't be any reason to delay him any further. should the man allow him to pass it was simply a matter of continuing with the previous plan.

Waiting for answers from the unknown stranger, the stranger had begun to lift his mask from off of his head, revealing who the figure in question was. Romp recognized the figure's facial features to another similar shinobi but he wasn't convinced it was the same person as who he initially thought it was. After all, it was his job to keep tabs on every person that may or may not walk through these gates and if he doesn't know who you are, he's assumed they never met. He was sure he didn't meet this person in question either the previously masked person was trying to portray as either so he couldn't prove that he was lying about his identity. After stopping him, the male in question began to speak to him as if they had been old acquaintances with his first two sentences. This made him chuckle a bit as he didn't mind being treated as a familiar person even if they had never met. Followed by the individual in question retrieving some documents from his person in order to show him what he had permissions to leave the village in order to perform some mission just on the borders of Kirigakure.
Gazing at the piece of parchment, Romp determined it was indeed a genuine document, signed by and printed by the staff members that kept the Kage's office afloat while the Kage was away. Even if it wasn't, he wasn't an expert in forgery so once again, he had no real reason to be suspicious of the lad's exit, other than his shifty attire of course. The lad claimed it was very urgent of him to go to the borders as the mission required the utmost importance, as well as, keeping a low profile, tipping scales in his favor and what not. Looking the lad up and down once more, Romp paced around the figure to see if he could pick up on any kind of abnormality or hint of suspicion he could use to doubt his story. Something still didn't quite add up but alas, he couldn't find anything to prove his point. In the end, Romp relented and silently gave a shrug before hurrying the man through. "Alright, get out of here ya little scamp. If I find out you're lying to me don't bother coming back, or I'll have to beat ya up, you hear me," Romp said, as he yelled out to the man as he went on his way.
Romp then walked back to his station, folding his arms still wondering if it was a good idea to let that person go. He didn't hear anything about an A-rank mission occurring outside of the village but the papers were there. Maybe they were in a hurry and some kind of emergency happened. It did sound very serious to him since it involved human trafficking so it was probably for the best he let him go. He thought about radioing the office to ask for confirmation but if his guess was wrong, he'd be verbally reprimanded far worse than any beating he's taken in a fight. Choices, choices. Well, since he didn't hear anything that was on par with a state of emergency, he was going to assume it was no big deal until new information surfaces and he hears differently from his superiors. For now, he wouldn't stress out about it and went back to reading his dirty 'novel.'
