Task: There is an old client that needs someone to do grocery shopping for them. Their body is aching, so they can’t do it themselves, and their social worker is off handling something else for the client. She asked for someone to do the food shopping for her today as she has a list prepared for those who accept this mission.

A beautiful day within the village and it seemed like today was going to be better than any of the other days that had been through this week. The young boy was called out for a mission, and it seemed like it was a simple and relaxing mission. He was supposed to take this on with Gin, which he was fine with that, but he wondered how late his friend was going to be for the mission. He laughed a bit as he walked downstairs and ate his mother’s food before leaving the house. He, of course, made sure that he would bring everything with him as he had finally made it second nature in doing so. The only thing he usually left behind was his money as he didn’t need to bring it with him on a mission.

His rooftop travel was a nice one today as he had moved around as he was actually enjoying this weather. It was still hot, but it wasn’t how he was used to. It also seemed like the Kage had relaxed with the temperature and allowed them to have a good day for today. His movements were as quick as he could be as he could hear the birds flying into the air as he had disturbed their time away from society. He could only smile as he would soon get closer to his destination. Yuurei had the scroll with him that had information about the mission he was heading to. It was the only reason why he was able to go where he needed to go. Soon enough, he would stop running as he was on the edge of a rooftop as he was looking around as he could see the house he was looking for.

Yuurei would just run down the building as he had made his way to the ground and he would smile as he was glad that he was the first person here. The Uchiha would walk towards the door, and he would stop as he took a seat on steps that were there. He would just look at the people that walked by them and he would just smile at them.

“Well, now it’s time to wait for Gin before I decide to bother this lady. I don’t want to disturb her until Gin gets here.” He said to himself as he continued to wave at everyone that smiled at him.

Gin had woken up early enough to pack his things and have a sit to eat his breakfast. When walking out into the living room, he didn't see nor hear his mother, but spotted the plate of bacon and eggs that were left on the table. He figured his mother had left early to start her new job, this was a normal day for the both of them; since his father had left them both, his mother had to take up a job, which was a difficulty of it's own as well as maintaining a job. Gin's missions have been paying for the living expenses, just barely, but the two of them were making do with it, for they had no choice but to.

The genin sat at the table and took his time eating, since he had more than half an hour of time to reach his destination for his mission, he may even arrive before Yuurei this time. As the minutes passed, Gin took his time eating and reviewing his study material on medical ninjutsu practice, until he looked up at the livingroom clock which showed an hour had passed. He nearly spat out his food, he knew damn well that no more than ten minutes had passed since he sat down, so he quickly ran to his room to find out that his bedroom clock was running an hour slow. With this sudden realization, he grabbed his weapon pouches, grabbed a slice of toast and ran out the door with said toast in his mouth.

Running from building top to building top, Gin cursed in between chews, he made a mental note to fix his bedroom clock when he got home so that he could avoid ever being late again. He was sure that this time he would be the early bird.

Once he arrived at the destination, he spotted Yuurei at the steps, confirming that the livingroom clock was indeed correct. "Morning" Gin said as he landed a few feet from Yuurei.

Yuurei continued to wait on the stairs as he was looking at people to go by. It got boring waving at others as he didn’t know how long it was going to take for Gin to arrive. The Uchiha knew that his friend was going to show up, but how long it would take was the problem. He kept waiting and after thirty minutes of waiting, he would see someone jumping down. The figure was easily spotted, and he laughed a bit as he could hear Gin. He would finally wave again, but this time at his friend with a smile on his face.

“Good morning, Gin.” He said this as he would get up from the stairs that he was sitting on, and he would stretch a bit.

He would turn around and start walking up the steps now that his friend was here.

“I see you got stuck at home with work again. Still, no matter, once we finish this, then I think you could continue with your work. I know I have a few things I have to check on myself.” He said to his partner.

Yuurei had awakened something strong within him, and he had yet understood the power behind it. The young boy figured he would learn more about it, or ask his mother and father about it. The Genin would soon block out his thoughts as he would knock on the door as he could hear a rolling sound moving towards the door. He would step away and soon enough the door would open, revealing an elderly lady as she had a smile on her face when she saw the two of them.

“You two must be the boys who are going to go shopping for me. This is great, I have the list of things needed for the house right here.” He paused for a second as she had to get the scroll out with a bag of money.

When she did she would hand it over to Yuurei as he was the closer of the two to the door. She would look at both of them and figured she would explain more.

“You can find all of these things in the shopping district in the village. When you guys come back you can just open the door and place everything to the right counter. I’m sure my help will be here by the time you get back, so you have nothing to worry about as they will have your reward waiting for you.” She said to them both as Yuurei would nod as he was fine with her instruction.

“Let’s go Gin, we got some shopping to do.” He said as he turned again and started walking down the stairs and moving towards the shopping district.

While they were moving through the streets of Sunagakure, Yuurei thought about something, he looked at the list of items and figured that if he ripped it in half, they would be able to do their work faster. He would do just that as he would rip the scroll in half, and handed the other half to Gin. He would then take out money that she had given them and handed half of it to Gin.

“We split up to buy everything our list, and come back here. If anything we meet back at the entrance to the shopping district.” He said this as he waited to see what Gin would say before making his way to buy these items.

Once again, Gin was late and once again Yuurei cared not; it was an enjoyable thought that his partner and only friend had enough trust in him to arrive eventually, Gin was sure any other person would have gone on with the mission without him. "I intend to continue with my work, to make sure I have some kind of use to this village." Gin said as the two walked up the stairs.

They were greeted by the elderly lady and presented with the scroll and money for the groceries, simple and straight to the point, just as Gin hoped. Once nearing the shopping district, Yuurei handed him half the scroll and half the money, "Divide and conquer, an effective war tactic" Gin noted, he had read not only ninja tactics and samurai tactics, but war tactics as well. Though the village doesn't seem to be at any present threat, he was sure that anything could happen at any given moment.

Gin gave a nod and soon enough he was off, jumping over the rooftop of stalls and carts, looking for the first thing on the list: A prickly pear cactus. A common enough plant found in the desert, so it was only but a few minutes before he spotted a fruit stand and specifically the prickly pear cactus. He purchased the plant but had to purchase a basket as well since most of the plant had pins that would cause a problem for him.

Next on the list was: Lemon juice. This became tedious realizing that the shopping district was spread out and the items could be at random places. He ran across the top of a few carts, trying to find the juice area.

Yuurei had made his way through the shopping district and when he got in there, he would look into the scroll and it seemed like the first thing on the list was various fruits. He started looking around the area and soon enough he would see a bunch of stands that were outside. His eyes moved once again to make sure the area was clear before he started making his way towards the stands. He would look at the fruits and he could see that this lady was eating healthy. He would stare at them as he was checking to see if they were good or about to spoil. When he picked the right ones, he would pick them up and he would move towards the man as he would place them on the side.

The man would look at them as he started placing them in the bags as Yuurei was waiting for him to tell him how much it cost. When he found out the price, Yuurei would smile at him and he would hand him the money without a problem. It seemed like the lady had given them a lot more money than they would need.

“Fruits are bought, what else do I need to buy?” He asked himself as he looked into the scroll to see what he needed to buy.

He could see that the next thing that was on the list was a carton of milk and he had to find it throughout this place. He started walking around as his eyes paced around the area as he was looking for someone who was selling it today. The Uchiha had bought this before with his mom, so he had an idea of where to look. He could only hope that the guy was there. He moved through the area as he could see that this was going to take a while and he was glad that he had given Gin the other half of the scroll. The Genin would walk through the area, and soon enough he would find the man that he was looking for. He had a smile on his face as he started walking towards him and waving at the same time.

When he got there, the man would recognize Yuurei and he would take out milk for him. The boy was happy to see that he knew what he had come here for, and he would hand him the money. Now that it was done, he would look at all the raw materials that were needed and it seemed like whoever was in the house with her had cooked a lot. That was good as he would make his way to the vegetable stands now. It wasn’t too far as he remembered seeing a few where the fruits were. When he got there he could see that there were a lot of people moving around the area. This was something he tried to avoid, but today was different. He had made his way to the stand and he would look at the vegetables similar to how he looked at the fruits.

These were good quality vegetables that he picked up and he didn’t have the same problem when he had gotten into the fruit stands. He had picked them up and soon enough he would go to the owner of the stand and he would get all of his stuff placed into a bag. When he was done with that, he would pay the man the price that was told to Yuurei and he would move onto the next list. The shopping was going smoothly and from what he could tell there were a few more things that he had to buy. It seemed like she needed essentials for the house as well, and he started moving towards a random location as he was starting to look for it.

He walked over to the stands and he would ask if he knew of a spot within this area, and the man would direct Yuurei to where he needed to go. This was good as it would be good progress to ask people and get a quick answer. When he got to the location he was looking for he would head over to the stand and he would quickly pick out the four things that she had asked for. When he was done with that he would look into the scroll to see what he had left to buy. It would seem like there was one more thing that he needed to buy that was on the scroll.

“I guess I will buy what I need here, and then make my way towards Gin. I will probably get stuck waiting for him for a bit. The guy probably got busy with something or decided to help someone out.” He said to himself as he checked to see what he needed to buy.

It wouldn’t take long to find out what he needed to buy. It would seem like she needed a cold dessert for her in the night time. He would move throughout the entire shopping district as he would find himself at a stand that was colder than the rest. It would seem like he needed to get things ready here and prepare himself back. He didn’t want this last thing he got to melt and then their client would get angry with him. Yuurei would start running now as he avoided the people that were around him. It wouldn’t take long, but he would make his way towards the entrance of the shopping district. When he got there he would just stand there as he made his way to a shaded area.

Yuurei would stretch a bit while holding everything in his hands as he didn’t know what to do. His eyes looked everywhere in the vicinity as he was trying to see where Gin would be coming from. He hoped that nothing had gone wrong on his friend's end.

“Wait if Gin is always late, would he be late coming back to the meeting spot? Shit, I shouldn’t have let him go on his own, but it’s too late guess I have no choice but to wait.” He said this as he waited for his friend to show up.

Finding the lemon juice turned out to be easier than expected, most stands and carts displayed their merchandise. Gin quickly paid for the lemon juice, placed it in the basket and made his way off to the next area. Now then, with how smoothly it seems to be going, Gin figured he would be able to finish the list without a problem and possibly get back to the entrance of the shopping district before Yuurei, and it was a good thought, until he noticed the rest of the items on the list were things that aren't native to the land of Wind, "Cashews? What the hell are those?"

Time passed and it was tedious trying to figure out what the following items were, asking around, then trying to locate them. Now each item gave Gin about ten to twenty minutes to locate them with a few minutes in between traveling the distance across the entire district, but what was the worst was Eel Sushi; he didn't know what eel was, but he did hear about sushi, the problem was that such a meal wasn't normally found in the desert, but nevertheless the ninja had to find it, he had taken the mission, and he promised himself he would see it done.

Since he figured eel was some kind of seafood, he crossed atop the stands following his nose. He would focus on his sense of smell until eventually he caught the unmistakable scent of fish. He dove for that stand that sold fish, crustaceans, and other things Gin thought to be weird or monstrous like squid. He asked for eel sushi, which he then waited and watched as the stand owner pull out an ugly, long creature and proceeded to dice it up and serve it in bundles with rice, seaweed and other ingredients. Gin then placed the sushi container in the basket, keeping himself from vomiting due to the sight he just witnessed and the intense smell, he then quickly made his way to entrance of the district finally getting to put this mission behind him.

"Yuurei-kun, nice to see you again" Gin said trying to catch his breath as he finally found Yuurei in the shade.

Yuurei stood there waiting for Gin to arrive, and he didn’t have to wait too long. He figured that those were things that only happened at the beginning of his days, and it had to be something personal to him. As of right now, he could see that gin was catching his breath which meant that he rushed over here to make sure that he didn’t keep him waiting.

“I see you got everything that on your list. That’s good, and now that we got everything we should head back to the lady. I’m sure she will be waiting for everything to come back to her.” He said this to his partner as he started walking out of the shade.

Their travel wouldn’t take too long, but the Uchiha made sure that he stood in the shade for as long as possible. He didn’t want to melt the desert that he had gotten. The young boy would keep moving at a quick pace as he didn’t want to waste any time out in the heat. He could see that Gin had gotten everything that he needed, which was a good thing. Their destination wasn’t too far off for them as they could see the house from where they were. His steps were quick and soon enough he would find himself at the front of the woman’s house. He remembered what she had told him and he wouldn’t even knock on the door.

Instead, he would open it as it was open like she had instructed. He would look back at Gin with a smile on his face.

“It seems like we made it in time, and she was right about leaving the door open for us.” He said to Gin as he would enter the house without hesitating.

Yuurei would walk in as he would see the right counter that she was talking about as he would walk over to it and place his share of the grocery shopping that he had done. There would be footsteps coming from the other room and a woman would appear with a smile on her face as she could see the bags that were on the counter. She would bow slightly towards both of them as he would get closer.

“I see you are the two boys that were helping her today. I’m glad you were able to do everything without a problem.” She said to Yuurei.

Yuurei would rub the back of his head as he would smile at the woman in front of him.

“It wasn’t a problem. I’m just glad that we could help someone with anything they need help with. Oh yeah, here is the money that she had given us or at least what remains.” He said this as he handed over the bag with whatever money he had left.

The help would smile when she saw that he was honest and generous, as she would take out a bag of her own as she would hand it over to Yuurei.

“This is your reward, thank you for your time.” She would say this as he would grab the bag and put it away as he would look over to Gin as she would do the same thing for him.

Yuurei would make his way to the entrance of the house as they were done with their mission, and he would look around with an accomplishment in his heart for the day. He figured that he would go out to eat with Gin as it was something that they had done in every mission.

“Let’s go grab something to eat Gin.” He said this as he walked off to their usual spot.

As Gin expected, Yuurei was quick to make his leave of the shopping district and he didn't mind, so he followed the younger ninja, making their way back to where they had originally met, both of them carrying the groceries required of them. Though they could have traveled by rooftop, they crossed the sand, trying to keep the grocery bags safe, although it made the travel more tedious due to sand being a hindrance, especially on a hot day. Beads of sweat ran down Gin's face, but eventually the two of them made it to the steps of the house which where the old lady had left them.

In they walked and before they could even take a peek around, they dropped the bags on the counter right by them. A younger woman appeared and greeted the two and as a sign of respect, Gin bowed in return, he was doing better with his socialization, his "How To" book had an entire section of formal greetings and gestures, possibly the longest chapter in the book, but the ninja studied it well, nevertheless. The help handed the both of them their reward and once again Gin bowed to thank her, and once more right before leaving.

"These missions have been pretty simple, maybe we could increase the difficulty one of these days? I hope we can take on D rank missions soon enough" Gin said as he counted the coins in his pouch, following behind Yuurei. The day is done and they were once again making their way to grab a bite to eat, just as Gin enjoyed it, for a job well done deserve a rightful meal.
