A Temple Visit [Makoto]

"OH" FUCK "Nonono thats not how I meant it at all! Apologies if it came out that way honestly." He brings his hands up apologetically as he tries to explain himself. ONce they exit however he trails off. Stunned a bit, seeing the environment outside with the islet, the lillies in the water, it was like a painting in his eyes. He probably looks like hes spentding a bit too much time staring at her before he snaps himself out of it running along to sit next to her beneath the persimmon tree.

True to what he said within the first box is still warm fish, veggies, rice, and meat. They smell honestly wonderful.  In the second box theres a small sum of one thousand ryo that, along with the rest of the gifts, sits atop a soft cloth with the hyuuga emblem on it. some very nice smelling incense. And most stunning of all. A small hair clip with a centipede on it. Made from silver and iron that glitters polished in the sunlight. No machining lines either, hand made.

She laughs it off as he awkwardly tries to explain himself. "I was joking, Mitsu, I was joking. You haven't used your eyes here, have you?"

Looking at the vegetables, Makoto realizes she doesn't know how to cook. More to the point, she also...

...Has never gone shopping in her life. Hm. This may prove to be a hard to leverage gift. Thankfully, her god should prove an apt aid in this regard. She nods to herself, making note to ask Yul about if any of her predecessors cooked well later. Then, she sees the hairclip- And very slowly takes it out, inspecting it in the light that filters through the persimmon tree's leaves. As the silver glints, she seems a bit taken aback... before placing it on her hair, tying up an unruly gray lock.

"Thank you" It sounds heartfelt. She is, in all honesty, quite giddy to have gotten a gift like this, and some of that excitement creeps into her voice. In moments like this, she really sounds younger than she is. "It's very pretty. It must've been hard to make, what with all the legs."

"Ah right... and no I haven't used it. Figured it'd be indecent to do so in here" He grabs and fiddles with his robe as she opens the box. Hoping the small hand made thing would be worth it. Seeing her taken aback by it assuages his worries though. When she puts it on he can't help but feel a bit of pride in himself because of it.

"A little bit but once I made the first leg the rest were easier." He laughs a bit, a joy and giddyness in his voice matching her own as he relaxes against the persimmon tree. The hairclip in all honesty was a pain to make but, seeing this was worth it. Validated his efforts.

"It would be rather indecent to look at everyone's insides, yes. Especially mine. I'm sure that's some sort of blasphemy, but I haven't been able to find it in the holy texts, so you're probably in the clear. Yul doesn't know either, and he's my god, so."

She hums "I could probably make it blasphemy"

Inside her, the centipede replies "Please don't make it blasphemy"

"I am not allowed to make it blasphemy" She casually reports. "Nor heresy. Especially because you gave me a gift."

"Thank you for that I would rather not to be torn apart by your worshippers for looking inside their goddess!" He says it half jokingly. SMiling as he lays beneath the persimmon tree with her. Smiling towards her genuinely letting the stress and worry of the outside fall away.

"Your uh... Family? Theyre fine with me here right? The place is nice and Id wanna come again some time" He wondered and worried if he mightve seemed like he was coming on to her and would rather not end up finding a centipede in his home
