Meeting the New Generation [Open]

Accompanied by one of his most trusted four-legged friends Goto could be seen making his way to the Training Grounds, wondering if and how many of Konohagakure's next generation he'd find working on honing their skills. "What do you think buddy?" the silver haired asked Adzuki, a young wolf of the Aspen pack. With a small nod of its head the Deputy's companion seemed to agree, the two of them looking forward to spending yet another day in the village while enjoying the pleasant touch of the sun. After only a couple of minutes walking the duo arrived at their destination, upon having done so Goto noticed a handful of people had gathered, all of which were training vigorously. 

Gently caressing Adzuki's head before telling the young wolf to run around freely, the silver haired shinobi was glad he had decided to bring his companion along with him, even more so considering how much his friend enjoyed going on a walk through the village. Because of its pleasant personality and the fact that Adzuki was easy to get along with, Goto knew there would be no trouble to let the wolf wander on its own, aware it would always come back without causing any trouble. In the meantime the young Senju looked around, enjoying the soft breeze of the wind touching his skin while keeping an eye on the young shinobi as well as Adzuki.

With a minor sigh the lady was leaning on a pole in the training grounds watching the younger ninja in training practice their techniques, it was always interesting seeing how things went. Shame she still hadn't learned much, life had simply been busy, her clan itself had its own issues to attend too. The breeze blew through the area catching her hair slightly blowing it too the side, she didn't even mind it, it was a nice calming feeling to enjoy. Looking towards the throwing range it appeared the entire target gallery was riddled with shuriken, and a few kunai as well. Thankfully they hadn't been using throwing needles, they'd of likely gone straight through the wood. Or maybe not, she's only ever seen them in practice once when her father was practicing at home. 

As the sun was covered by a cloud her gaze averted itself from the throwing gallery, now looking off towards the entrance of the training grounds, her sight quickly catching a approaching ninja. She felt as though she could recognize him but, couldn't quite put a finger on who he was. Was he someone important, perhaps, or maybe she had just seen someone like him while wandering the streets of the Uchiha district. Her eyes quickly accessed the man, his over all height was rather incredible, he definitely would tower over her, this lead too his over all strength of simply being bigger. What else was interesting was the fact he had white hair, while not over all uncommon, not many people in the Uchiha district had it so it was a rare sight for her specifically. He carried a animal with him, how peculiar, she wouldn't judge of course, animals we're a special blessing who deserve protection in her opinion, but the area over all was safe so she could understand him letting it down. She wouldn't draw attention however, it just wasn't her over all style, maybe if he hung around she'd eventually build up the will to go and break the ice, but for now she just watched the man with curiosity, she could feel as though he was a high ranking ninja, so what was he doing here.

As the wind gently blew through his silver hair Goto stood there, enjoying the soft breeze touching his skin. Just how the sun figuratively watched over Konohagakure, so would the Deputy watch over the younger generation of shinobi. The sound of kunai and shuriken piercing the wooden training dummies, the result of the ninja tools successfully hitting their target, could be heard throughout the Training Grounds. "At least they're not skipping any basics" the Senju spoke under his breath, only for those closest to him to hear. More often than not had he witnessed how young students tried to skip a couple of steps, attempting to mold their chakra in the hopes of performing the Great Fireball technique and whatnot. 

Keeping a close eye on Adzuki's movements just to make sure the playful wolf didn't scare anyone away Goto suddenly spotted a certain individual that would be drawing the Deputy's attention. The reason as to why the kunoichi specifically stood out could be found in the fact that she was the only one leaning against a pole while everyone else was busy training. Similar to his, the woman's long, black hair got caught by the wind, softly blowing to the sides. Goto began to wonder about her actions, perhaps she was simply waiting her turn or maybe she became nervous after watching everyone else train. Regardless of which one it would be, the silver haired Senju decided to try and give the kunoichi a push in the right direction.

Using a mental command he would telepathically contact Adzuki, informing the Cedar wolf of his plan to send his companion over in order to get the young woman a bit more involved. Assuming everything was carried out the way the Senju envisioned it, the kunoichi with the black hair would notice how she was approached by the animal with a reddish fur, the canine urging her to follow him to where Goto would be standing.

So, he finally made his move did he, interestingly enough he seemed to of decided to try too make first contact with her. Why could be anyone's guess, he certainly knew his stuff at the very least, as his pet wandered up to her, unless it was by sheer curiosity, but she doubted it. It had seemed to be perfectly content wandering around until its owner looked at it. Perhaps it was just a a coincidence, but what did it matter. Upon closer inspection too the woman she was wearing a hooded shirt and shorts, with bandages around her right knee, the story behind that being unimportant in her eyes, there was a strap with a weapons pouch on her waist attached to a proper belt. Her currently dark amber eyes gazed down at the animal, the eyes clearly empty currently, as if trying to find meaning in what life currently was. "Did you want something pooch, or was it your master who wanted something instead?" She asked in a cold tone, for the moment, her eyes gazed up towards his master. It wasn't threatening, more so just, a wandering gaze, she looked back down at the animal her lean shifting into a proper stand. She supposed it couldn't be helped, if this ninja wanted her attention, he'd likely get it, regardless of if she wanted to give it or not.

As she walked across the field it was a good minute long walk, the field was vast, with different sections for different types of training, the area she was in more specifically being the area to train your movement skills, across from it was the Kunai and Shuriken range, explosive paper wasn't allowed while new ninja were training to avoid them getting injured, then there were area's for tai and ninjutsu. As she and the animal walked past the range she simply watched the new ninja throw, they were actually getting rather good, when they had started they couldn't even hit the target at first, now they were landing a mark closer to the bullseye each throw. She smirked, she likely couldn't throw a kunai to save her life sadly, maybe that'd change eventually but for now she had bigger issues, as she made her way in front of Goto her eyes slowly measuring him up. "You're a tall one, aren't you?" She commented as the man stood at least a foot taller then her.

It appeared Adzuki succeeded in drawing the kunoichi's attention as the female student suddenly looked in Goto's direction, their eyes meeting each other's gaze as she began to approach the young Deputy. The wolf of the Cedar pack would then wander off again, looking for a place in the Training Grounds to lay down and roll around in the grass underneath the pleasant sun. "Go ahead, you deserved it" he voiced his companion telepathically as the canine momentarily disappeared from his sight. By then the lady dressed in shorts with bandages firmly around one of her knees, the right to be precise, had joined the silver haired at his position.

A smirk on Goto's face appeared, a direct response to the kunoichi's remark. "I didn't know our Academy Students were this talkative". Although, he could see where she was coming from. With his 6'3 the Senju towered over most of his peers so it wasn't that out of the ordinary that someone would comment on his height. "Anything else you'd like to point out or have we covered all the obvious?". In the meantime the sound of kunai and shuriken flying around continued to fill the area, most of the ninja tools hitting their mark. Only a couple of targets were missed, perhaps the younger generation of Konohagakure shinobi was promising after all.

Now that they were on the topic of future prospects Goto figured it was time to find the reason why the girl with the black hair decided to simply stand around while the others were busy training vigorously. "What brought you out here today? Don't tell me you planned on leaning against a pole all day?" the Deputy inquired, trying to reveal if it was simply the girl's nerves that got the better of her or if there was something more to it.

Her eyes turned in her skull to the side, as if watching the animal walk off behind her, this man clearly wasn't going to attack a completely unarmed girl, much less a untrained one, or would he. Maybe he would maybe he wouldn't but she had a rather decent feeling he wouldn't. Those eyes then turned back to face the man in front of her. "I'm not, but if you don't talk to people in this world a lack of communication can cost a life, can't it?" Her eyes looked at him as if she was saying he should know this, they stared daggers into the man, how he'd react to that was anyone's guess, though the area was safe, if the worst happened a random kunai could ricochet and hit one of them in the neck. As unlikely as it would be, its likely this ninja in front of her would just catch it, she'd likely at best duck under it barely, maybe it'd cut her scalp, or hit her in the side of the head instead who knows. "Perhaps." She simply commented to his second line of idle chatter, the sound of the kunai and shuriken flying around in the distance was actually rather loud, thank goodness they weren't using paper bombs or she'd have to be wearing ear plugs, could you even use those in this training grounds, she couldn't quite recall.

"You ask why I'm here, yet leaning on a poll?" She said in a cold tone to the deputy, her arms now crossed. "I was more so simply taking a break, watching the younger ninja, I'm sure you can understand that, considering you we're watching them as well until you crossed eyes with me." Her tone changed after finally saying that, holding a hand out simply stating. "Xena Uchiha, a pleasure." Finally breaking the ice and giving a name to add to her face her tone was somewhat friendly if not the kind of friendly you'd be cautious of, her face was still a cold uncaring form however, she could likely figure his name out eventually if he didn't decide to tell her here and now. But she had a remotely decent feeling he would. Her other arm found itself placed into her coats outer pocket, as the wind seemed to spiral around them.

It would seem that the kunoichi was better with words than she was with ninja tools, somewhat avoiding and perhaps even deflecting Goto's questions rather than earnestly answering them. "Taking a break without having worked up a sweat, your recovery abilities must be extraordinary" the Deputy said in response to her remark. He would have preferred if the young woman had simply admitted to not knowing what she was supposed to do but maybe her pride wouldn't allow for that to happen so soon. "I suppose if I were to ask you to hit that target over there you'd have no trouble doing so?". As Goto finished his sentence he'd reach for a shuriken in one of his weapon pouches before offering the female student to give it a go.

Whether or not she accepted and succeeded, or failed for that matter, would be of no importance. The silver haired simply wanted to see if all that "watching over the younger shinobi" as she so kindly put it would have any effect. Regardless of the challenge the black haired kunoichi had given the Senju a name, a bit late for an introduction but he'd take it. Better late than never, or however the saying went. "Well, Xena Uchiha. Let's see what you got shall we?". He'd use his right arm to encourage the woman to attempt and hit her target, using the shuriken to pierce one of the training dummies nearby. "And the pleasure is all mine, Goto Senju by the way. But you can call me Deputy". With a smirk on his face he'd then wait for Xena's reaction.

With no hand shake like she had offered a shuriken had instead been placed in her hand, shame, she preferred throwing needles. Not that she had any on her, the ones she did were at home. Taking a look at the shuriken it was a basic one, with her middle finger and pointer she turned it in her hand as she examined it, it had been used a few times based on the marks it had on it, though whether it was for training or actual combat she couldn't tell. "You flatter me, although you only just got here, how do you know I haven't been resting for long enough to fully recover?" She had idly asked, before the final question of throwing a shuriken rang by, she glanced over to the practice field, if she was to throw it from this location there's about a 22% chance she'd actually even hit a target, and 50% being her hitting someone and 28% being it just flying through missing entirely and getting lost in the woods over there. "Suppose I have no choice do I?" She asked placing the shuriken in a proper hold as she walked over to the shooting gallery. She wasn't the best shot in all honesty, she could hit the board almost always, though accuracy beyond that was difficult with both shuriken and kunai to her for some reason.

Holding the shuriken in between two fingers, it was a single one so she held it in between right hands ring and her middle finger, with a swipe it would whirl through the air finding itself imbedded in the upper right side of the target, had it been a human it would of likely punctured a lung. Though the edge alignment had the shuriken be left at a angle causing it too slowly slide, and then fall out of the target leaving a hole that was the shuriken's blade, not to mention the spin technique causing it to spin slower then it should of. With a sigh her arms became crossed as if a sign of annoyance, her eyes turning to you waiting for a reaction. "Not every day a deputy comes to this training grounds is all I'll say." She states after he called himself the deputy, not that there was ever more then one deputy at a time, or so she thought.

As Goto witnessed how Xena decided to accept the shuriken and prepared to throw the ninja tool at one of the training dummies he would give her a little bit of space, stepping back and creating a two meter distance between them to allow the kunoichi full concentration. "There's always a choice. You picked the right one by giving this a try. There is no shame in failing so no need to feel any pressure". The silver haired then watched as the young woman played around with the shuriken, finding the correct way to hold the weapon before she'd go ahead and attempt to hit her target.

As the projectile left the woman's hold it didn't take that long before it was followed by the sound of the shuriken successfully hitting the mark and although not completely in the middle still a job well done. But then again, that was the least one could expect from a shinobi, regardless how experienced they were. "Now that wasn't so hard, was it?". Although he couldn't read Xena's mind the Senju figured she would at least be somewhat pleased with the result. With the little task completed the kunoichi made a remark, mentioning it could be considered strange that a Deputy decided to spend time watching over the Training Grounds.

Even though he could see where she was coming from Goto didn't necessarily agree, the silver haired himself seeing things differently. "Our village has been through a lot the last couple of years. It was only til recently our situation improved and we could start looking forward". He wouldn't bore her with any details, and unless they had been living underneath a rock everyone would have been aware of the sorry state Konohagakure had been in. "So every once in a while I try to pay a visit to the Training Grounds, looking over our young shinobi working on improving their skills. Maybe it isn't necessary but even if it helps only a tiny bit it's still something I should do" the silver haired continued as he watched over the ones still training.

She just shrugged with no real comment, she walked up to the target to pick up the shuriken as they were the only ones using this specific one. Looking closely at the target it didn't even go in that deeply, that was mildly upsetting, not only did she not throw it properly it wouldn't even be a killing blow. "Wasn't so hard? If it wasn't so hard I wouldn't of messed up so badly." She simply commented handing the man the shuriken back, he then began talking about the state Konohagakure had been in all this time. In truth she was merely a little girl at some of this villages worse points, so she couldn't entirely recall every issue, but she knew most of them. "I guess you're right there." She stated leaning on the fence following his gaze towards the children training, they we're actually getting better and better each throw. "This villages next generation will likely be one of the best, at least if they stay committed like this." As she said that she let out a small yawn her hand covering her mouth a bit.

"You know, I imagine you had more then one reason for calling me over to you, care to explain?" She asked looking across the field at the animal he used to call her over, she wasn't entirely sure what it was up too. "Or, I guess it was your pet that called me over too you?" She said with a small smirk as a joke. Her gaze danced around the field, from location to location, in truth the training area was actually somewhat filled with at least one person in each area. They ranged from kids too teenagers to even adults, then again this was the advanced area so adults being here made sense.
