The Little Fish-Cutter [Fishing Tournament]

Yes! He stabbed something, alright! Something alive and wiggly, but damn was its hide strong! Kojirou needed to gather more and more strength than before to pull this fish up, but surprisingly, it wasn’t because of its weight… the fish was still alive! Had he not skewered it deep enough?
 
It turned into a brawl underwater where Kojirou got to see the form of the fish; muscular, boney, tough as rock and angry-looking. Grabbing its side with his hand, Kojirou forced the spear deeper through its hide until the fish finally succumbed to the wound and passed away, which signaled Kojirou that he had to get back up again. He was losing breath…
 
Just in time, he managed to catch his breath above the surface of the water again, reeling up his newest catch. A boney-like fish with a tough hide could prove… no… upon comparing its weight to the first fish, it was reasonably lighter. He got tricked!
 
It was about time that he took a break, though… Kojirou found his seat, leaned back and took a nap. Fishing was pretty fun, but he had shaken up the waters a bit too much, and he wouldn’t get to catch anything under these conditions. A nap proved useful to pass time, and then more fish would likely draw themselves forward now that the two bigger fish had been taken out. Maybe they’d start calling the grassy fields underwater their own homes… just like the grassy people of Tanbogakure called the green fields their home…
