Time to set out...
Mon Jul 11, 2022 2:14 am
The time had come. Within the next few days after the second round of the CEs concluded Daiki had gotten another message from his higher ups informing him of his next task to complete. This would come to him in the form of a falcon which came to a stop in order to perch upon his windowsill one morning while he was eating breakfast. The falcon would give a sharp yet soft shriek in order to alert him as he got up from his chair, his hair drying as he had gotten out of the shower recently, and he took the scroll that was tied from the falcon's leg. He unfurled it and gave it a read as he made certain to understand every detail of the scroll's words. 'A mission?' he thought to himself as he set the scroll down and the falcon took flight once more back to it's tower having done what it was supposed to do. 'My first ever mission and completing it could possibly get me a promotion... This seems to be going a tad bit too fast.' He went over to his wardrobe and pulled out his ninja gear, consisting of a white tank top, light green jacket, and plain black pants, before he got on his shoes and walked over to the open window.
He would feel around the outside of his pocket, a bulge protruding as he could feel steel press against his squeezes, as he nodded and hopped out of the window in order to make his way along the rooftops to the gates of the village. As he gave a large hop up into the air he would pull from his pocket what he had been checking to make sure he had which was his headband which gave a bright sheen of light thanks to the sun high above him. He smiled before wrapping it around his head and tightening a knot at the back as he landed right at the base of the cleft which stood as the village's entrance... and exit. "This is my story... And I'm going to make certain some mission doesn't end it." With that he would smack his fist into his palm confidently before making his way out of the village all the while keeping his pace slow as he had been informed he wouldn't be going on this mission alone.

It was a lively day in the estate of the Akiyama family. For good reasons at that too. You see, it was the last and final part of the ongoing Chunin Exams that were currently being held for the genin of Sunagakure, the village hidden in the sands. And one of the head family’s children, the middle child, Kin, was one of the many participants aiming to take their shot at nabbing the higher rank. With it, not only could it accelerate his own process of gaining notoriety within the hometown, but it would also give a nice little boost to that of the family itself. Over the last few years, they’ve all noticed that things for them have been on a steady decline, but since the nobleborn decided to go down the route that needed to be traveled for all shinobi, there also came the potential knowledge that things might soon be going up for them.
Being dawned in a somewhat formal attire, but still suited for the necessity of travel, Kin was draped in a white, lightweight kimono with a golden floral pattern that was stitched all throughout the intricate garment. The white shirt underneath echoed the same inlays of little gold threads being sewn here and there, just without the actual design to form flowers. To finish off the attire, he wore similarly colored pants as well, with the exception of those being shaded a bit more darker; like a white muddied with a tiny ounce of gray instead of the starch, bone white of the other two pieces. Also, along with these, there where two big things wrapped in cloth bindings that had been strapped to his back, these being 2 of his puppets. Currently, the two in which he was carrying was his Turtle of War and Sparrow; since they were going to Claw Country he figured to match in tone with his more animalistic constructs instead of the humanoid ones.
His mother and father would be there to see him on his way off to do the mission that was required for the people in the exams to have to complete. The two would be standing right outside their large home alongside some of the other members in the head family including his sister, grandfather, and grandmother. Visually, the mom would make sure everything was sorted and set before giving Kin a hug while telling him ”Just remember, please don’t cause too much trouble while you’re away. And do make sure that whoever is partaking on this journey with you doesn’t do anything that could rat us out. We can’t have people finding out about the family trade secrets after all. Our contact in Claw Country should be expecting you then, just go to the speakeasy there, and well…I trust well enough you already know what to do.” Her voice would remain calm and composed, and after saying that, the family matriarch would lead the rest of them inside as Kin started to make his way towards the village gates.
Getting there only took a few minutes, and the walk was uneventful to say the least. Upon arrival, off in the distance, a lone man in a green jacket could be seen walking slowly out towards the desert and in the relative direction of where they needed to go. It would seem as if that man would be the one who he’d be doing the mission with, and so, seeing as they were already heading out, Kin would make sure that the exit process would get done with quick haste. After everything was all sorted out, the golden boy would catch up with the guy, but didn’t introduce himself quite yet. The two had plenty of time to go through those pleasantries during their actual travel.
