Vampires save christmas?!?

Arantima had been wandering for a few hours after he had arrived in the strange winter land that his space time jutsu was hijacked into taking him to. It was not long before he had heard of a strange person who goes by the name of “Santa” and that he was perhaps the most powerful space time user of all time. Arantima also heard that this man was apparently also very ill right now and that he was looking for anyone who could help him make his delivery on time this year.

Arantima felt his seal twitch as he felt Mizu appear in the land of snow and turned in that direction, even though she was impossibly far from him at the moment he was still surprised by her appearance here. Did she need him to take her home? Did he forget something when he took her to tanbogakure?  There were a hundred questions and no way of knowing the answers to any of them until he met with her if she even wanted that. He stopped at that thought, perhaps she was here on business, and his showing up might interfere with that.

He had already gotten a clearance pass to meet with this Santa character to see if there was anything he could do to help with the deliveries as the rewards were apparently quite substantial and he could bring back that Ryo for Yugure to improve. Now he stood in the middle of a literal crossroads as people in this strange village milled about their day walking around the strange man in red robes. He found himself pressing a hand idly to the cursemark on his chest and in looking down at the hand pressed against it looked at his crimson red nails.

He was changing and growing and getting stronger by the day and he had finally gotten praise from Mizu just as he had teleported her halfway across the world. He was proud of himself and yet still felt that compulsion to improve and grow ever stronger and push himself further and further.  Now for himself anymore, he had Mizu and she was his driving force in that. Anything less than perfection was a failure in his mind, even if she didnt feel that way about his accomplishments. He had seen how people failed her… How she felt that she had failed others… He wanted that feeling to never darken Mizu’s mind ever again.


Arantima tucked the pass into a fold of his robe and began to move forward, not running just yet because there was a throng of people and he didnt want to cause any panic or hurt anyone without cause. As he passed through the hoard of people he closed his eyes and began to rely only on his preternatural senses the raw blood of those beyond 20 meters and the loud heartbeats of those 10 meters or closer. He was getting adept at blending the two and getting a picture of a person just by their blood and heartbeat alone, accurate enough to navigate in this large mass of bodies at least which was something.

He growled softly as someone got just a bit too close to him with their hand and his own clawed one poked a soft pinprick in their palm, leaving a droplet of blood that sent the pickpocket off with a very sound warning that he was no mark for the taking today. After finding his way through the crowd and into a clearer space he broke out into a sprint, his immense speed blazing out through the village leaving a whooshing gust of wind behind him that kicked up snow drifts in his wake.

His Blood sense allowed him to easily sense when someone was coming from around a blind corner and easily leap clear over their heads to land with a gentle thud and never once breaking stride. He was a man on a mission and that mission was Mizu, he would get to a place where he could see her and observe her, she would sense him through the Seal and she would approach him if she deemed it safe or needed.

The village was not massive like any of the great ninja villages but it was tightly compact enough that he had to change directions a few times to get to where he was going. Normally he would take to the rooftops but when he tried that the first few times he fell straight through a thatch roof and he has since become wary of houses without clearly seen roof tops and all of them are covered in snow in this frigid village.

It was not very long until he crested out into the village outskirts where the buildings were far less dense and there were many fewer pedestrians about, it wasnt far from here where arantima had found himself being dropped into the field and could feel that Mizuki was not far away from him now.

He swiveled his head from side to side looking for a tree that was tall enough that he could climb and sure enough there was a decently tall pine tree about 10 meters tall that he could get up and sit in for a decent vantage point. He Ran up the tree and without a second thought lept up nine meters to land in a decent thick set of branches that would hold his weight.

Once he was settled back in the needles and hidden away from the casual glance he started to look around the snowy area out where he sensed Mizu, hoping that he would see her but knowing that she might not look entirely like herself and so he was looking for mannerism more than form, the way someone stepped or the way someone was looking around would tell him he wasnt looking at Mizu.. Mizu never once needed to turn her head to take her surroundings in… She always looked straight ahead.
