Fu and the Kage

Ayato met Fu two years ago when Nova Corps had imprisoned her after being caught in unlawful activities. He offered her to join the village forces and leave her past life of crime behind. During that time, she had proven to be one of the most loyal and resourceful ninjas, bravely fighting and winning the war against the Kiri and Suna rogue forces.

It's impressive that Fu could prove herself as a skilled and loyal ninja in such a short amount of time. Winning a war against rogue forces from two other villages is no small feat, and it speaks to Fu's determination and abilities as a fighter. Part of the Kage had hoped that he played a significant role in Fu's success. As the one who recruited and helped guide her through her transition from a criminal without a home to a ninja of the Star Village, he likely provided her with valuable mentorship and support.

When she entered his quarters, he spoke, "As a testament to your dedication and hard work as a ninja and a positive sign for her future in the village. I present you with this gift." He waved a rough, callused hand at the contents on his desk: two scrolls, one containing the Explosion Release and the other Silent Killing.

And a box containing something else, something he had gained years ago. Rewarding her with legacy equipment is a significant gesture and a way to show her that her efforts are appreciated. Legacy equipment is typically reserved for skilled and accomplished ninjas, so it's clear that Fu has earned her place among the village's elite. By exchanging legacy equipment for things that can further her ninja career, she'll have the opportunity to continue growing and developing her skills.

Fu had left the Kozai Yuki archives fruitless and feeling deflated. Even though Fu was a Jounin now, she still didn’t have the clearance necessary to access all the information that the library had to offer. Did they not trust her? Knowing that there were secrete techniques within reach, but just out of touch, pestered the kunoichi to no end. This, along with her impulsive tendencies, led Fu to taking a mid-day stroll to the Hogokage’s office to see if she could convince a Nova, or even the Hogokage, to grant her access. On her journey, she rehearsed what she would say to Ayato, feeling anxious she may come off as too demanding. “Just relax. The worst he can say is no.” Fu would say to herself, just before arriving at her destination.
 
Standing in front of the door(s), Fu took a deep breath, preparing herself to make demands to whoever was on the other side and then she wrapped the door(s) three times with her right hand, and then entered regardless. The door(s) swung open, and Fu had already begun speaking before being cut off by Ayato, who appeared to be expecting her. The Hogokage informed Fu that she would be receiving a gift for her endeavors since joining the village. This sudden appreciation caused Fu’s attitude to change completely and her large, orange eyes floated from Ayato, to his desk, where a couple of scrolls laid neatly. She loafed towards them and picked them up one by one, allowing them to unravel. With her right eye activated, Fu proceeded to copy the information to memory. Now that she had retained the knowledge, she would be able to practice the secrete techniques on her own time. Along with the scrolls, was a box containing a decent number of Kunai. These were far less impressive than the contents of the scrolls, but Fu sensed they held some sort of sentimental value to their previous owner, so she accepted them graciously. Fu turned back to Ayato and lowered her head, and torso to a 90 degree angle, bowing as a sign of gratitude and respect. “Thank you, lord Kage, I am indebted to you.” Fu would say in a respectful tone- which was slightly off character for her.
 
Fu then perked back up and remembered something. “Oh, that reminds me! I found this while patrolling the borders. It’s been giving off some really sketchy vibes. Kinda creeps me out, probably best you have it inspected further.” Fu suggested, now reaching into a random ninja pouch and produced a defiled doll, and then leaving it on Ayato’s desk.
 
“Was there anything else you needed from me?” Fu would say, almost forgetting she was the one who had barged in unannounced.

Fu was excited to receive the village exclusives of Explosion Release and Silent Killing! These powerful techniques require a great deal of skill and training, so if she mastered Fu, she would further establish herself as a skillful ninja of Hoshigakure.

The Hoshi Kunoichi, in return, gave Ayato a doll she had found on the border and creeped her out. "Thanks." The Kage responded, but his expression remained unchanged.  As for the gift Fu gave the Seventh, the intention behind it was a mystery. The fact that it creeped the Kage out suggested that it might have been a joke or a prank, but it's possible that there was a more profound meaning behind it as well. Regardless,  Ayato was gracious and welcoming toward the gift, even if he wasn't entirely sure what to make of it.

"No, that would be all for now. Dismissed, Jounin."
