The Casino was bustling with activity, filled with vibrant energy and an aura of elegance. The air was infused with the rich aroma of wine, tempting one to indulge in the establishment's luxurious drinks. Despite the lively atmosphere, there was a sense of urgency among the patrons, as if they were all trying to savor every last bit of summer before it slipped away. It was as if the season itself was a fleeting beauty that would vanish before their eyes if they looked away for even a moment. Amidst this flurry of activity sat a man in a black suit sporting a gray turtleneck. He sat at one of the tables near the entrance, his chakra signature concealed from view. His white, lavender eyes betrayed no emotion, but a quiet intensity emanated from him. As he sipped his espresso, he observed the people around him, perhaps studying them or enjoying the scenery. Despite his reserved demeanor, something intriguing about him drew one's attention and made them wonder about his secrets.

Kira was wandering through the casino, enjoying herself despite the rather expensive atmosphere of this particular floor, ironically everything on this level of the casino was outrageously fancy with the exception of one rustic ramshackle stall set up by the floor's exchange desk. The desk was being run by a strange one armed woman whilst the many signs proclaimed the stall's intention to purchase junk for cold hard cash. She hated to admit it but she could certainly do with the wealth, the scrolls she had purchased on reanimation techniques had cost her more than a pretty penny and she still had many more secrets to learn from that very same source... unfortunately for her she didn't have much junk to exchange, but every bit counted. She was just about to make her way over to the stall with a resigned sigh when she noticed a man sitting at one of the tables just to her left. His apperance whilst certainly marking him as some form of either nobility or the wealthy elite was not what made him stand out, though that certainly would have drawn her attention on its own, no what drew her attention most was the aura that surrounded him. The man was cloaked in death, not like any shinobi she had ever witnessed before, indeed even guren's aura paled in comparision to this. Almost completely forgetting her prior intentions she approached the man, stepping up to clear her throat quietly before looking for any indication the man had noticed her.


If he had she would gesture to the seat, taking a moment to wait for assent before sitting down. "My apologies for the interuption good sir but i can't help but notice the aura around you rings with a weight greater than that of any other individual i have met before" she said pausing for a moment to give weight to her words. "this may seem a little abrupt but do you deal with the dead much" she asked, deciding that after her experiences beeting around the bush with auron that the direct route would be a better option this time around

The man's expression remained unchanged as Kira approached him and cleared her throat. He acknowledged her presence with a slight nod and watched as she gestured to the seat, silently granting her permission to sit. As Kira spoke, the man listened intently, his gaze fixed on her. When she finished speaking, he took a moment to consider her words before answering in a measured tone.

"I do deal with the dead, as you mentioned. I am an accountant, in a manner of speaking. My work often involves managing the financial affairs of those who have passed on. However, some contracts require proper authorization to be activated. Perhaps you could assist in exchange for financial compensation or a future favor to call upon."

He leaned back in his chair, his eyes still fixed on Kira as if waiting for her next move. His voice was detached as if he was merely performing a task rather than engaging in a conversation.

Kira sat there nodding along calmly at the man's words, a brief wave of her hand towards one of the wait staff had a steaming tea in hand, one laced with but the slightest hint of nightshade and a touch of a specially raised variant of elderberry, the implications to those who knew what to look for were clear enough, though it was merely a formality, the man's words though seemingly innocuous were laced with a deeper meaning, one that she comprehended in an instant. "A favour then, one to be called upon and delivered at my behest" she said, pulling out a scroll and begun scribbling down instructions. A date, a time, and a set of co-ordinates that would lead the holder to a dead drop, one that within she would place the instructions to what the man was looking for, very specific instructions on one of her techniques, and instructions that had been tweaked by her own experiences to improve upon what might be considered to be the standard practice.

The man watched as Kira summoned a steaming cup of tea and placed it in front of him, seemingly unfazed by the addition of the nightshade and special elderberry. He took a sip of the tea and set the cup back down on the table. As Kira opted for favor over money, the man listened attentively, his expression neutral. He glanced over the contents briefly when she handed him the scroll with the instructions.

"Very well. However, I must remind you to think carefully before calling upon them. " He carefully rolled up the scroll and placed it in his jacket pocket before finishing his espresso.

"Is there anything else you require of me, or may I return to my work?" he asked, his tone polite but businesslike.

Perhaps unbeknownst to the pair Codex had watched the exchange with a deep glint in its eyes, the language the two had spoken had not been one of words, no the language they both spoke was one of arcane actions, of meanings within meanings, it was an interaction codex could follow and understand at times, but it had not learnt enough to know all the details of that language. Still it knew what its response should be to witnessing such an interaction. Putting a "out for lunch" sign on it's stall the construct strode over to the man, timing itself to arrive just as the woman was leaving.
