Re: Spoooooky Season: Part One

Raikur did not need to do much during the monkey and beast invasion, the trio that accompanied him had it handled quite well. He would simply accept the Gaia Gauntlet that Quinn threw his way, placing it on his free hand to accompany the other one that he already had. While the others were combating the unusual attackers, Raikur instead spent his time clearing out nearby villagers, keeping them out of harm’s way. It was not his choice of action, as Raikur preferred to be in the thick of the action, but he knew that it was an important role that he carried out without complaint. By the time the attack had been repelled, there were no more villagers in the vicinity. The young Shokku gave himself a nod in satisfaction for a job well done before reconvening with his companions. He would simply listen to whatever they had to say before the group split up for the night.
Raikur managed little sleep the following nights, mostly due to wanting to avoid imagining any monstrosities that could harm the village. So he was tired, very tired… Raikur joined the other three once more as they prepared to deal with the problem of this ‘Dream King’ that had been terrorizing the village. A mere child apparently, Raikur could not help but be impressed with the young one’s imagination, but at this time it was causing nothing but problems.
Raikur whistled in approval when he witnessed the young boy’s wooden dragons that protected his ‘castle’ as they arrived. This boy truly was impressive, he needed to be stopped for sure, but they had to ensure that he was not harmed. No easy task considering the situation. That being said, the mission actually went quite smoothly, no harm befalling the child as they got him under control and ensured that nothing happened to the surrounding villagers.
During the process, Raikur simply watched Hanzo’s actions as he placed the boy under an interesting Genjutsu. He had heard of the impressive ocular prowess of the Sharingan, but it was useful to hear about its properties from Kaito as he praised his ‘son’ as he did it. Raikur wanted to ask Hanzo about recent events, as he remembered that Quinn had mentioned something had changed with his team mate, but understood that now probably was not the most convenient time to do so. Instead he would simply nod kindly as the parents of the now subdued ‘Dream King’ thanked them profusely for assisting and not bringing any harm to their little boy. Raikur had to admit to himself that he was not satisfied with his own input just yet though. He had done little to assist his team in the process, he felt more like a bystander in this situation…
A short while later, Raikur would join Kaito and the two Genin at the rendezvous point, he listened to the Sensory Team’s report with the others, but stood slightly behind the three of them as he did. Something was bothering Raikur, but he could not quite put his finger on it. Observing closely as Kaito sent his clone into the rift, a sense of impending doom washed over him, but once more he did not quite know why. Instinctively as Kaito began yelling out orders, Raikur activated his Shadow Clone Jutsu, bringing out two copies of himself in preparation of the incoming assault. Something that Kaito said caused Raikur some annoyance, he only seemed to be addressing the other two Genin. Had Raikur truly done that little on these past couple of missions? In that case, the young Shokku would have to go above and beyond in this upcoming battle to prove himself…
Focusing on his breathing, the young Genin would slowly activate his Total Concentration Breathing right before the horde began to swarm them. Suddenly, the monsters were upon them, they were truly a terrifying sight, but Raikur put that behind him as he and his clones leapt into action. Dashing in ahead of the other two Genin, Raikur would activate his Chidori as his two clones used their Chakra Infused tantos to tear through the enemy. With his Ascended Muragan active, the young Shokku began ripping through the enemy waves one by one, putting in the extra work as they continued to pile in, but it felt as if nothing he did would truly stop their advances.
After a short while, he noticed that one of his clones got cut down by the enemy, as its memories and experiences began flooding back into him. Shortly after, his other clone was also taken down, causing the Genin to grit his teeth in minor frustration. This onslaught appeared to be never ending, but he could not back down now, the livelihood and wellbeing of his village was on the line after all. Quickly dashing back several paces as his Chidori finally fizzled out, Raikur performed the hand seals: Snake - Dog - Ram - Tiger - Snake. He was hoping to avoid using this technique in front of anyone else just yet, wanting to keep it close to his chest in case of another tournament or competition, but decided that it was too important to help him carry out the mission. Raikur cast Searing Sight at the oncoming horde.
Raikur fired out one zig zagging beam of purple lightning from his right Muragan, which began to hurtle forwards at the horde. It cut through enemy after enemy as he activated its ‘No Escape’ ability, changing its direction as it moved to ensure it would take down as many of their opponents as possible. When that technique also ended, a large pile of dead bodies lay before him, his blood lust rising through the roof as he attempted to keep his emotions at bay. It was then that he noticed the attackers were STILL coming through the portal. Was this going to be the end of them? Suddenly, the Otokage performed a Jutsu that made Raikur’s eyebrows raise in curiosity. He appeared to… make the portal… vanish? Just like that, they were all gone. Why had the Kage taken so long to perform such a powerful technique? He could have saved them so much trouble if he had done it sooner…
Slightly annoyed, Raikur would slowly walk back to the group whilst covered head to toe in blood, most of which was not his own. He rejoined them as Kaito sung his praises for a job well done. Yet once again, the Otokage only seemed to address the other two, Raikur’s efforts were not being acknowledged even now? Silently furious, the young Shokku left the group without saying a word, slowly walking home to clean off all the blood that he was not covered in, holding his tongue to avoid speaking out of line. The young Shokku would not soon forget this.
A couple of days…

With the affairs rounded out and the first series of issues addressed, Quinn watched as everyone licked their wounds and moved on. It was a rough few days but hopefully, that was the end of the whole affair. Quinn watched as the other three showcased more of their strength than they themselves did. Taking note; the Forgemaster gave a resolute nod to themselves knowing that there were going to be more chances to show off their newfound ability and power. Until that moment in time would present itself, it was time to rest in the interim until the opportunity arose and allowed for such.

As the Otokage cleared the mission easily with his visual prowess, Hanzo looked at him with pride. The younger Uchiha needed to train more and get stronger in order to test his strength against one of the strongest in the village to prove himself. With all the issues now have been addressed, everyone gathered to clean themselves and part ways, until the something like this would happen again.
