Eldest
After becoming a little familiar with the community she’s in, Junior decided to take up another simple but helpful mission. An important member of the community had asked that someone aid him in taking care of his pet. Simply know as “Eldest” in the mission summary, her interest had been peaked. Heading over to the man’s house he explained that he had recently fallen a bit ill and had been left unable to take his dear pet out for its monthly “treat day”. He asked that I take Eldest on a walk to a natural hot spring nearby and to give him as many treats as he desired.
Agreeing to these terms, the man happily introduced her to Eldest. He lead her to large barn like building and swung open the double doors. Then standing before before her was the largest capybara she had ever seen, while on all four legs it stood about 4.5 feet tall. The man pulled a large harness from a room in the barn and began wrapping it around Eldest while he explained that his favorite treats were sugarcane, melons, and clover. He also said that Eldest knows the way to the hot springs, and would be able to lead her there. He then handed her the lead the harness was attached to and some Ryo to buy some snacks.
After the man said his goodbyes and giving Eldest some head pats, they left for the market to pick up some snacks. While headed there various people said hello, and asked to pet him. Nervous at first she agreed, but soon her nerves were calmed. Eldest happily accepted head scratches and loving from any and everyone who asked to love him. The people working at the market needed no introduction, Eldest went right up to the stand and placed his big head on the counter begging for some treats. With all the treats collected Eldest lead them to the hot spring nearby.
The walk there was easy, and very peaceful. Every few feet Eldest would stop to munch on some grass, and ask for some head pats. When we got to the hot spring she pulled off the harness and began to break apart some of the treats. Eldest slowly meandered into the hot spring and completely submerged himself except his head. He opened his mouth wide, asking for treats and she happily obliged. By then end of his soak all the treats had been eaten, and he was ready to go home.
Sliding the harness back on him they began to head back to his home. The walk back was lovely, they stopped for just a moment to sunbathe and to give Eldest a chance to dry off before returning home. As she sat with him in the sun she contemplated the uses of a capybara, and how fun it would be to have one herself. Soon they continued on their way as the sun began to set. Eldest happily trotted along and eventually they reached the barn again.
His owner came out with a big smile and asked how the walk went. She told him how everyone swooned over him and how cute he was, also how he enjoyed his dip in the hot springs. She mentioned that she was even considering getting one for herself. He thanked her profusely, and handed over the payment. She thanked him for the job and said if he ever needed anyone to walk Eldest again, to please let her know! She then left to find work elsewhere.

Why Don’t We Dance. Pt 1
Hearing rumors of an upcoming festival, Junko decided to check the mission board and see if anyone needs help with set up, or anything like that. One in particular caught her eye, an entertainers troupe was looking for spotters to help them safely practice their fire spinning act. Thinking this was an interesting proposal, she began walking around the land the festival was being held on, looking for the group of entertainers. She soon stumbled upon them and spoke with them about the job. They told her they needed assistance in keeping safe, and choreographing their routine.
She excitedly accepted and soon they got to work. She didn’t really have any experience with this sort of thing and was hoping they’d teach her a few moves. She did a little bit of stretching in order to warm up and prepare the the days events. One of the entertainers instructed her how to properly spot someone doing fire spinner and showed her where they kept their buckets of water in case of an emergency. They then gave her a damp towel, and told her to watch the back of their necks since sometimes the baby hairs will catch fire and the performers won’t even notice.
For a hour or so she just observed them while they warmed up, waiting for someone or something catching on fire. Thankfully on her watch no accidents occurred, and they began work on their choreography. Though not practiced at all in dace her speed and flexibility were able to lend some insight on how to add a little flair to their routine. Soon they asked her if she’d like to try it, they had a spotter prepare themselves and they gave her a rundown of how to hold the baton. With the ends unlit she did some practice spins and dropped it a few times, but soon she thought she had a good handle on it.
She tried to joined the others in the choreographed routine but definitely wasn’t as good as the other there. She attempted to toss the lit baton in the air and catch it, but due to her sweating hand the baton slipped out of her hand and fell onto the ground. She attempted to stomp out the now slowly spreading fire but it proved too quick for her. Thankfully the spotter and a few of the entertainers took notice and promptly snuffed out the fire. Her face was beet red from the embarrassment as she began bowing and apologizing profusely about her mess up.
Some in the group joked about her being clumsy, others reassured her that it happens all the time. Defeated she decided not to pick up the baton again for the rest of the practice. Though she continued to stay until the end, being a spotter and ensuring that no more fires would be able to spread. Soon the sun set and practice came to an end. Before she left the entertainers, they had some celebratory drinks and then she sloppily meandered back out into the busy town.
