- mission:
- Mission Name: Genin Exam
Rank: D
Mission Location: Any Village
Challenges: --
Task: It's that time of year! After studying, you feel prepared to join your village's ranks as a genin, but first, you must pass an exam. Make sure you put your best foot forward- and remember to polish up those Transformations and Clones!
Optionally, this exam may be proctored by another village member with the IC rank of chunin equivalent or higher. In that case, they may adjust the exam as necessary, strictly for CD purposes. A proctor is any rank higher than genin. Usually done by village shinobi, but if they have express permissions for the Kage, a village shinobi from another village may perform these exams.
It should be noted that this mission cannot be used towards any rank-up besides the one mentioned in "Reward."
Word Count Requirement: 1,000
Reward: 1,000 Ryo / 5 AP & promotion to Genin/D Power Rank / 1x Ninja Headband of your respective village
Character Requirements: At least one character must be an E-ranked village ninja. The examinee must have 75+ stats, not counting BL bonuses.
Character Exclusive: --
Reiten was finally ready to pass the exam for a true rank of ninja in the city of Hoshigakure. At her advanced age, usually people were already chuunin or even jounin, but she had a different upbringing than most, only recently becoming a true ninja, even if she trained in the arts of Ninjutsu and usages of weapons and explosives in her teenage years. As she got ready in the morning, wearing her casual one piece outfit of all white cloth, sporty but also warm for the mountainous climate of Hoshigakure, the blonde young woman was pumped and hyped for her exam, thrilled to prove that her hard work and dedication to training, even if done absolutely alone and in a self-taught way, was enouh to mark her as a distinctive shinobi of the academy of Astral point, the ninja academy of the village hiden in the stars. With her golden locks of extremely long and thick blonde hair flowing in the air behind her as she ran all the way to the school, excited to pass and to tackle the exam, Reiten was harboring a large smile across her face, poised by her skills and age. She could finally start te righteous journey that her parents lived so long ago, 20 years ago, when they were part of the Explosion Corp of Iwagakure, responsible for destructive powers, but with enough judgement to use it when the time was right, and with good measures.
As she reached the school almost before any other students, Reiten got trough the doors of the entrance of the building, still running in excitement, and dashed right into her classroom, where she sat at her usual place, in the front row, ready as ever. The teacher greeted her as usual, and noted her excitement for it. Indeed, it was visible, but still, the blonde young woman managed to wait and calm herself, gathering her energy into a more calm and focused state, waiting for the exam to start. The class indeed soon filled itself with the rest of the students a few minutes later, and the test finally begun. The first part was a paper copy passed onto each desk of each student, to be filled and completed before doing the practical part of the test, involving the techniques that were basic to each shinobi and kunoichi across the ninja world, the transformation technique, and the clone technique.
Reiten fixed her copy of the exam, her hand strongly holding the pen and waiting for the signal to start. A few seconds afterwards, and it was given, making her promptly turning back her sheet to reveal the questions.

In Astral Point Academy, the air buzzed with anticipation as Reiten, on the verge of taking their Genin Exam, prepared for the pivotal moment. Instead of the usual Chuunin overseer, today's proctor was Genin Kenchi Midorigawa—a testament to the significance of every step on Kenchi's path toward his ultimate goal.
As he donned his green gi, Kenchi couldn't help but feel a surge of pride, imagining the joy his parents would feel at his progress. The worn fabric symbolized dedication, its hue mirroring his hair and eyes. Securing his belt, laden with cherished weaponry, Kenchi acknowledged his reliance on weapon mastery, a skill honed through relentless determination and practice.
Kenchi's affinity for weaponry was a birthright rooted in the esteemed Fuma Clan. The family's renowned Shuriken bore their name, symbolizing their unmatched expertise. Despite his lineage, Kenchi chose to carry his father's surname, Midorigawa, a decision that simplified matters while concealing his heritage from many.
Exiting the familiar confines of the Ninja Dorm, Kenchi strode purposefully toward Astral Point, determination guiding each step. Amidst the bustling streets, whispers of the legendary Wolf Squad's exploits sparked excitement, hinting at an imminent promotion ceremony. Eager to witness such courage firsthand, Kenchi vowed to attend, inspired by the squad's heroics and driven to forge his legacy in the shinobi world.
Arriving at the academy, Kenchi felt the palpable anticipation swirling around him. Taking his seat in the bustling hall where the exams unfolded, he cast a discerning glance around, noting the nervous energy radiating from his fellow examinees.
Spotting Reiten nearby, Kenchi offered a warm nod before introducing himself. "Hey there, I'm Kenchi Midorigawa," he greeted with a friendly smile, extending a hand in greeting. "You ready for this?"
With genuine camaraderie, Kenchi leaned in slightly, his tone earnest as he made a request. "Mind showing me your transformation and clone techniques? I want to ensure we're both prepared for what lies ahead." His words conveyed a sense of solidarity aimed at easing any pre-exam jitters and fostering a supportive atmosphere among the aspiring shinobi.

''I was born ready Kenchi-San! Lets do this!'' replied enthusiastically the blonde girl, hyped to finally get this done and receive her headband.
As the man asked for her to show her skills at those basic jutsu that would be reviewed, Reiten simply smiled and joined hands, weaving the singular seal for the clone technique. In a loud and large puff of smoke, 4 identical copies of Reiten appeared, with the long locks of golden hair, thew one piece of white cloth, and the same smile replicated 4 times perfectly. Before dispelling the clones, the student would immediately do the seal for the transformation jutsu, and would transform herself, along with the 4 others clones, into Kenchi himself, a copy perfected too, down to the minute details, the green spiky hairs, the torn and used gi gree too, the piercing eyes of emerald, and even the expression of resolve and proudness the gennin showed. It was a testimony to Reiten's attention to detail, dedication and refined sight.
After letting the man observe it all, she would simply not and in another puff of white smoke, revert back to her own shape, and dispel the clones, leaving only her there, standing proudly.
''Was this good enough?'' said happily the older student, proud of her own performance and not at all breaking a sweat, making it seems like she was in fact, really more experienced than what the academy tested her to make her graduate into a gennin.
But Reiten just realized something. At first, she tought this was only like a pre-test practice, but this WAS the exam! Did she just pass easily without even knowing it? Did she really do both the transformation jutsu AND the clone technique too, thinking it was a practice but it was in truth, the real test? If so, Kenchi was a genius at making her not stressed, even if that wasnt the case.
''So... That was the exam?'' Said Reiten, both happy and confused.

Kenchi's stoic demeanor softened slightly as he observed Reiten's skillful display, a hint of pride gleaming in his emerald eyes. "You executed those techniques flawlessly, Reiten-san,," he remarked, his voice carrying a tone of quiet confidence. "Your attention to detail and precision are commendable. You're ready to take the next step as a Genin."
As Reiten expressed her happiness and slight confusion, Kenchi's lips curved into a reassuring smile. "Indeed, that was the exam," he confirmed, his tone steady and reassuring. "But don't worry. You breezed through it effortlessly. Consider yourself officially a Genin now."
His words were measured and chosen to instill confidence in Reiten and affirm her accomplishment. With a nod of encouragement, he continued, "Your potential as a shinobi is undeniable, Reiten-san. Keep honing your skills, and there's no doubt you'll achieve great things."
With a sense of ceremony, Kenchi approached the desk where Reiten sat, presenting her with a gleaming headband adorned with a star symbol. The black cloth was a mark of her newfound status as a Genin. Still, Kenchi mentioned that she could customize it at one of the many City Square tailors, emphasizing the tradition's flexibility.
"Take your time to find the perfect color. Your headband should reflect who you are as a shinobi."
As Reiten accepted the headband, Kenchi offered a nod of acknowledgment, his gaze reflecting a silent understanding of the moment's significance. "Congratulations, Reiten-san,," he said solemnly, his voice carrying a weight of respect for her achievement. "May this headband serve as a symbol of your dedication and determination."
With a final nod of farewell, Kenchi left Reiten to savor the moment, knowing that their paths might cross again. As he moved on to usher in the next examinee, he maintained his composed demeanor, guiding each candidate through the process with patience and professionalism.

The suprise was immense. Without even knowing, understanding it was only a pre-exam practice real fast, to see if she knew what she was doing, passed her test of practical basic jutsu with flying colors, getting a flawless and perfected score for her genin exam. Surprised and gawking for a few second, Reiten closed her mouth and in show, could only bow in a gesture of respect to the proctor, who so honorably conducted his duty to her, by passing her and grading her talent and skill at Ninjutsu.
''Arigato Kenchi-San! I will do my best as a new genin. You got my word!'' said the blonde girl, proud of herself and really happy to have made it. It was now the start of a incredible journey in the steps of her shinobi parents.
As she received her iconic headband of the village hidden amongst the stars, Reiten was submerged in emotions and pride, holding the very symbol of sucess and of her devotion to this path in life, the path of the ninja.
Without more words, she simply would enjoy the moment and get back to her own place, eager to start the next day as a fully fledged kunoichi of Hoshigakure.
