Fuyujinmaru is a blade which immediately radiates the essence of Hyogagakure. It captures the cold and eternal winter, with an ornate pale blue steel that reflects the surface of the frozen lake that surrounds the village. The design etched into the face of the blade intricately resembles frost covered branches that extend throughout half of the length of the blade. The frosted edge of Fuyujinmaru is snow white, as if it had been coated in an icy chakra. The guard of the blade features a dance of snowflake engravings, while a hilt that is meticulously layered in an ocean blue silk. It is further complemented by its silver threads that are akin to a trail of wind blowing snow through the air. The light blue tassel hanging from the end of the hilt adds a life like swaying to the blade even when it rests perfectly still. The scabbard or saya that it rests in features various shades of deep and light blues. Upon it are further etchings of silver flowers, which are characteristic of the permafrost encrusted natural flora of Hyogagakure. Fastened to the neck of the scabbard is a crimson red tassel, symbolic of the blood of the foes slain by the blade.

Backstory:
Fuyujinmaru is a blade designed and crafted by none other than Old Man Andre. The blacksmith had been tasked by Sakaiza, the second Hyogakage, with creating a blade which would compliment the village's uniform. To the pair of men it was essential for all of the village's shinobi to be equipped with all the tools they might need for ensuring their survival. However the Hyogakage gave Old Man Andre full creative liberty with the blade's conception.

Andre, a man of piety towards Boreas and Yuki-onna, decided that the blade should be characteristic of the deities of Hyogagakure as well as the village's environment itself. To him it was important to convey these elements so that the village's shinobi would always carry with them a piece of home, no matter where their deployments and missions took them. This way they could hold their values, merits, and culture near and dear to them. Resultantly Andre first sketched the blade, then created a prototype, and repeated the process until both he and Sakaiza were satisfied with the final product. 

With the design in hand, Andre then went on to forge the first one. However due to the symbolism in the sword the blacksmith determined that it was best to forge it when the weather was most characteristic of all things that embodied the blade: during a blizzard. And so this became his tradition, where each and every time a persistent and intense blizzard overtook Hyogagakure, Andre would forge a batch of Fuyujinmarus.

Trait: Hyōketsu (氷結) - Frozen Adaptability
Fuyujinmaru is crafted in two unique variants: one for shinobi with a heavier focus on close quarters combat, and one for shinobi with a heavier focus on casting. Resultantly the trait is dependent on the variant of the weapon claimed or purchased. Each variant is named after Hyogagakure's deities.

• Boreas Blade - The blade is forged to be so lightweight that it is as nimble as a feather. This allows for the user to use a single Bukijutsu technique of A rank or below only having to pay half AP activation cost. This trait can be used twice per topic and cannot be used for any technique which is classified within the Special Technique Guidelines.
  
• Yuki-onna's Song - The blade passively emits an icy chakra from it, allowing for a cooling aura that coats the blade. This allows the user to cast a single elemental technique of A rank of below without the need to perform the hand seals for it though the technique casted this way cannot be used along with a Amplifier and has a cost of an additional 15 AP per usage. The telegraphing motion becomes a just one swing of the blade. This trait can be used twice per topic and cannot be used for any technique which is classified within the Special Technique Guidelines.
