Keep on Training Empty Keep on Training

It was the afternoon, the day I came back from the Sand village. I knew after meeting all of those new ninja that I had to improve. I had to reach the sky. I walked to the shore of the sea and looked at the reflection of the sky on the water. I pulled out one of my tri-point kunais and walked over closer to the water. I began focusing chakra into my feet. "Now lets see if I'm able to actually walk on water. We learned the basics but I don't remember ever putting it to the test. I put my left foot on the water and stepped down on the water,it worked,my foot was standing on the water. "One down one to go." I said quietly to myself. I put down my right foot on the water and began to stand on the water. I was doing it. I smiled but in that brief moment when I lose all concentration because of my happiness,I fell. Luckily i wasn't far in the water, but the water went to the top of my ankle. I stood there for a moment. "I have to keep trying. I must continue learning to control my chakra or I will never reach the sky."

I had to try again but keep my focus. I began to concentrate my chakra to my feet. "Not to much. Not to little." I thought to myself as the chakra ran down through my legs into my feet. I looked down and saw them glowing blue;it was working. I couldn't second guess myself. I ran onto the water as if I was running on regular ground. I closed my eyes as I ran. I stood for a moment before I opened my eyes. As I opened my eyes I saw where I was. I was standing maybe five feet away from the shore, standing in the middle of the water. "I did it." I thought to myself,I couldn't lose concentration though. I continued to give my legs the chakra it needed to stand here. I had to test the limits of what I could do on the water though. I took a deep inhale then exhaled. It was time to test out how good my chakra control really was. I began to run back to shore, front flipping, back flipping, cartwheeling, across the sea to get back to land. Amazingly I wasn't doing to bad,or so I thought. I was two feet away from the shore when I did a cartwheel,oh the regret. As my hands hit the water I forgot to put chakra in my hands and I sunk. I stood up,I was drenched. "Man." I ran my fingers through my hair. "I just had to fall in the water as I was finishing up. What a pain. What a real pain." I sat down at the shore, putting my arms behind me to take off the pouch and put it next to me as I sat along the shore of the sea, looking up at the sky. The sky was as it always was, free.

I rested as my clothes died off. It was a decently warm day and when I stood I smiled up at the sky. "I'm getting closer. I just know it." I said aloud, talking to the sky. I looked behind me to see some tall trees. "I could use these trees to also help me train." I thought to myself as I turned around to the trees. I stretched my arms just a little and did ten squats before I decided I was ready to circle my chakra through my legs and potentially my arms, seeing as I was being crafty with my running on water.

I pulled out a kunai and kept it in my right hand. "Use the kunai to mark the last step your foot takes on the tree and improve each time. Lets do this." I thought to myself and I ran at the tree. I began to run up the tree and after about five steps I fell down, luckily i sensed my fall and I cut the kunai at the tree. I feel to the ground and landed on my feet. "Mmkay not bad for a first time." I looked back and looked towards the town. "But I should get going I guess." I put my kunai back into its pouch and strapped the pouch back to my back. I ran off back to the mist, but i took the long way. I used the water to get home. I concentrated the bare minimum chakra I would need to walk on the water and I used the method. I ran on the water with glee,my feet were slightly sinking into the water, luckily i knew how to swim either way. I made my way off.

I walked back onto the field, this time taking the long way and not taking the shortcut through the water. I arrive once again in the spot and put down my pouch which contains my kunais. I bend down and pick a kunai up and look over at the tree. "I'll get to you later. I said as I threw my kunai at the tree. The kunai hit the tree, actually it hit right where I slashed it from my previous training, but it barely stuck in. "I'm gonna need to practice my strength too." I thought to myself as I turned back over to the sea. It was time I practiced my chakra once again. I stepped onto the water, concentrating my chakra to my feet. I did it quickly, acting as if I had no time, even though it was quite the contrary,I had all the time I would ever need for my training today. I ran onto the water and grinned as I ran. I was able to stand firmly in the water,no sinking of any sort, well none that I could see or feel. I stood there for a moment. It was time I tested how much I could do on the water. I began to run farther into the sea. As I ran I grinned and became an acrobat for a moment. I begun to do front flips, releasing my chakra for moments as I was in the air and quickly putting it back as my feet were about to land on the water. It worked. It wasted a tad less chakra and when it came to chakra,as a shiniobi, it was one of the only things you could count on. It didn't save much chakra but it was enough that if I was in a long term battle,it would come in handy. I continued to run on the water,I was enjoying this. It was the perfect time of day,the time of day where the sky was as clear as possible in the Mist village. I ran maybe about seven more steps before I tried the technique again. It worked. I jumped off the ground, with enough speed to keep me going forward even while I twisted, and landed on my feet,my feet just in time reacting to the water so it was as I was still on solid land. I ran onward,I was getting farther from the shore than most people my age would dare to even go.As I ran some more I looked over my shoulder to see the shore line decreasing,I was getting in some dangerous waters. "I think its about time I made my way back" I thought to myself as I stretched my arms and began to run back to shore. As I ran though an idea crossed my mind. I had to try using one of my jutsus while still on the water. I squared up with my first up towards my face, and I looked out into the open sea. I punched my right fist and spoke. "Wind Style:Arc". As I punched the air in front of my fist created a large arc and as my punch extended to its fullest,it fired. It went through the air with a decent amount of force.I felt my feet sink maybe a cm in the water however. "I'm able to control my chakra at two different locations but when I try to do a jutsu it will weaken the chakra in my feet for a moment. I'll have to keep working. I stood and my feet rose to be perfectly above the water. "Alright lets try this one now." I created a hand sign and spoke the jutsu. "Wind Style:Repel". The air from all around me condensed and pushed out ward, there was something I didn't think about though. Below me it also pushed the air which in turn pushed the water below my feet. "Oh lord." I thought. I sensed the water below my feet fleeting. What was I to do. I jumped forward,my repel wearing off. I landed on the water and looked back at the water being replaced.I stood in place for a bit, thinking to myself. "I shouldn't use that jutsu until I learn better how to walk on water, other wise I would just drown myself." I began to run once more back to shore. As I ran I wanted to have fun ,even if I was getting a tad worn down from all the chakra use and all of my running. I want towards shore,as fast as I could. I was proud of myself,I was able to contain this much time walking on water for the fact of how little chakra I trained back in the academy. I jumped with some flips every now and then as I ran, just to know how it would feel for me to be able to do some quick dodges in real time combat.

As I re-arrived at the shore line I sat down, resting for a moment."All this work recently is just getting me tired." I said quietly to myself as I sat and watched the sky. "I need to do a little more training. If I don't then I will never progress and achieve my goal to get into the sky." I stood back up after about five minutes have passed and I stretched my body once more. I had to get used to all of this training or when it will come down to real life I won't get anywhere. I turned around to look at the tree with the kunai stuck in it. "I guess your going to be one of the pillars to the sky." I said with a smile as I run towards the tree. "If I can't run up a high tree, then how can I expect to climb to the sky. I ran with all my might and started to make it up the tree. As I ran I came closer to my kunai. I had to grab it since I didn't grab my other kunais. I grabbed the kunai as I ran up the tree. I was about ten steps up the tree before I had to slash with my kunai to mark my last step. As I was falling down I was practically standing. I made a hand sign with my hands quickly. "Wind Style:Repel" I said, since i was three feet from the ground. It softened my landing and I landed safely on the ground. I looked up on the mark. "Ok so I got an extra five steps in with my chakra control up the tree. Lets try once more." I thought as I back up a little from the tree,to give me running momentum. I ran at the tree, full force,my kunai grasped tightly in my right hand.I ran up the tree, counting my steps. I was doing it. I passed my first mark then a second later i passed my second mark. "I'm doing it." I thought as I went a total of twenty steps up the tree. I cut my mark in the tree and gracefully landed on the ground. "Thats it for chakra training. Best I'm gonna do in awhile." I thought to myself. I thought as I walked away ,grabbing my pouch as I left.

I walked back onto the shoreline of the Mist village's sea. It was a misty day,of course its not being to cliche, and the sun was just barely starting to rise into the sky. You could still see the moon clearly if you looked in the right spot. I walked over to a tree and stared at it. It's funny how all my training, everything iv done to prepare myself as a ninja, has all been done on this area. It was my training ground and somewhere where I could just be myself, even though I seemed to do that no matter where I was. I was as open as the wind I thought as myself. The air was something that I could live with. It was time for my next piece of training. Sure so far I've learned how to use a new jutsu and how to run faster, only since I had to outrun a group of thugs, but now I had to train to fight. I might not like fighting but it was something that I had to do. My strength had to increase or I would never be able to create any damage to immobilize my enemies from attacking me,my family, or my comrades. I pulled out two of my kunai and looked at a tree straight in front of me. I was going to use this tree, this tree which has caused no one any harm, as my stall for my punches and a holster for my kunai. If only the kunai would be holstered in a pouch or something similar. I jabbed full force with my right hand,my tri-point kunai in hand, into the tree and looked at the handle standing out. I did the same with my left hand but put the tri-point kunai in a different location. I had to make sure that these kunais were in points, such as areas the elbow will pass for a punch,or a knee will go by for a kick to the gut. I had to learn how to hit attacks like these away, even if it was on an inanimate object. I pulled out two more of my kunais and stabbed them into the tree. The tree was ready and I was ready to begin an intense training of my skills as a ninja and my taijutsu skills also. I got into position,I hadn't learnt any fighting stances yet but I had to do with what I knew. I could always adapt my ways into some stance but for now,I needed the basic intense training to get my strength to where I needed it to be for myself and my team Tsunami. I had to begin my strikes. "Basic strikes for now would work."I thought to myself as I jabbed my fist once at the tree. There was no sign that I even hit the tree. My punches currently truly were weak. I had to fix that however. I had to train and show that I could improve. I would need strength through out my body if I ever wished to make it up into the sky and stay up there. I had to continue my punches. I had to keep my muscles equally training as well. I punched nine more times with my right hand before alternating to my left hand, where I proceeded to punching quick jab, which did nothing practically nothing to the tree but it was hurting my hand. I could not stop thought. I had to keep alternating ten punches for each hand at a time. It would keep it even and give each arm a brief moment for rest. Moments like these did not necessarily come into battle however. After a total of one hundred punched from each arm were thrown I decided it was time for a break. I had to make sure my training wasn't so severe that I would lose my arms to just punching a tree for what seemed like a total of an hour passing. My punches were all timed, same power behind each one of them. Being strong was never really a strong suit in my family tree but I had to develop that characteristic myself, couldn't rely on my genes to bail me out of all my messes. My genes got me to surviving and knowing my way around the field. Other than that it will require me to train constantly. I knew I was no where on the level of Sameonna but I had to grow to be strong. Strong enough to aid her and Nietzsche in battle when needed. Even if I didn't like fighting I knew,as a shinobi, I would have to spill blood,I would just have to avoid it where I could. While I was resting an idea occurred to me. "The water. Its nice, decently warm, water. It should help my muscles relax while I was resting." I thought to myself as I turned to the sea and walked over to it. I layed down on the shore and slowly dipped my arms into the water. It was kind of a cold sensation that ran through my arms. But it sure was soothing. I laid there for a few moments,my chin resting on the sand nearby. We were the land of waves. We were known for some of our beaches, seeing as our land mainly contains water. I laid quietly, lifting my eyes upwards to watch the sky. The sky was still pretty misty. "How much time really passed?" I wondered as I laid by the sea,my arms drenching in the nice soothing water. I stood back up and looked at the tree. "It's time we do this again." I said aloud to the tree. I was going partially insane already in my mind. Talking to trees. What's next? Having conversations with stones? I ran over to the tree once more and squared up in no particular stance. I then pulled my fist back and punched the tree, repeating ten times with both hands.

I watched the bark of the tree as my punches connected. It seemed as if I was getting stronger, but so quickly? I pushed the thought of my head. I was a shinobi whether I liked fighting or not and with that I have to keep training my body at all costs so that I could protect myself and others. My punches continued, even as a I passed my ten punches for each hand. I kept punching. I reached twenties, thirty's,fourtys, fifty's. I then stopped as I noticed something of my hands. They were bleeding. The bark of the wood began to break finally but with that result came the fact that with fifty punches hitting the bark from each hand, totaling into a hundred punches, constantly streaming towards the bark. I put my hands to my side and I walked back over to the water. I had to clean my wounds to some degree or I would simply get some infection and then my hands would never be able to protect anyone. I dipped my hand into the water and watched as the nearby water turned into blood,it wasn't much blood but enough to put noticeable blood into the water. I moved the water around so the blood would disperse and it became almost submerged in the water. The blood began to sink into the water. My blood has been pure my entire life. All it does when mixed with water is sink to the bottom. I stood back up and dried off my hands quickly and looked back over at the tree. "I must continue at all costs." I thought to myself as I walked back to the tree. "All right so I'm able to punch constantly but not I have to see if I can continue to deflect points easily." I talked quietly to myself. As I approached the tree I got into position and began to swing my hands in a blocking manner to each of the kunai which represented the arms. I at first started with regular patterns and progressed to a more complicated pattern. I began to cross my arms as I acted to block the swings, I even began to speed up. As I continued with this I began to test myself. It was most likely I wouldn't be standing and blocking so I began to move my legs as if moving, but taking no actual step. I had to keep going. There could be no telling how good my enemy could be at hand to hand combat. I then had to make it more complicated and began to use my legs to block of punches. After a few minutes passed by I slowed to a stop. I was done with this practice for a bit. I put my hands back up and prepared for another session of punching. As I began to punch the first set of ten with my right hand something was caught in my perifreial vision I noticed a humanoid figure walking towards my location. I continued my punches with my right hand, finishing the first set, then I started my left hand set, turning my head to see a female, maybe the age of twenty, coming towards my location. I finished my set of ten with my left hand and stopped punching for awhile. I turned to face the woman and I recognized her. "Hey there Mika" I said with with a smile and bowed slightly. She smiled over at me and nodded her head in a hello. "What brings you all the way out here?" I ask with a slight tilt of my head, wondering what she was doing here. She continued to smiled as she spoke, she was a kind hearted woman, something I liked about her,not many people were as kind hearted as she was. She walked over closer, she now stood about seven feet away from me. She had flowing, silk like, red hair past her shoulder. She smiled and looked at me. "Well your mother was telling me about how you were out here training from the morning and I thought since my late husband was a great taijutsu master that I could tell you about some of the things I saw him do for his training. Maybe you could use it to better yourself in taijutsu." She explained to me. I remembered that she was twenty-seven years of age and that her husband, who also would be twenty-seven about this time, passed away a year ago. He was a jounin of the Mist Village and a great taijutsu user. He however died in action last year, the two of them were married for six years, having one child who right now is actually five years old. I bowed in respect and answered her. "I would very much like that actually." I said with a smile. I had to train in taijutsu or I would not be able to get anywhere with my life as a shinobi. She continued to smile, even after the death of her husband she used what she learned from him to help someone she barely knew, like me. "All right well the first things first. Lets do some top-notch training exercises!" She yelled out with joy. I nodded and she clapped her hands. "First thing we're gonna do is one hundred push-ups!" I giggled a little, she was to enthusiastic about my training. I stretched my hands a little, they were still cut up from the bark but I had to keep working. I dropped down to the ground and began to do my push ups, watching my breathing as I did the push ups. I may have been training for awhile but I had to keep working,I couldn't let up on my training. I finished up the push ups and stood back up to look over at Mika. "So what else do we have to do?" I asked with an enthusiastic smile.
