The Tomoe {Solo flashback training topic}
Sat Jan 26, 2013 2:43 pm
Kinominki, or Kino, as most called him, was waiting on a bench within the village. It had been near the training grounds, near his home. Not too long ago the village had been attacked. Kino, and his family had been lucky enough to make it out alive, due to the fact he and his father had been outside of the village training, how his sister and step mother had made it out was quite the mystery, though they did. He hadn't exactly enjoyed the thought of his father surviving, considering throughout the event of the village attack his father had only pushed me towards the village, expecting me to fight the attacker with a serious lacking of training. He sighed, noting to himself that todays training would be hell, considering the fact that his father was angry with Kino, him having not fought the attacker, whoever he was. He knew that the training would be serious, his father pushing Kino, to the point to where Kino would be overly exhausted by the end of the day, oh if only he had been killed during the attack, Kino thought in his head, waiting for his father to arrive.
Kino would sit there in nearly complete silence, there was a bit of disturbances, the people in the streets wandering to who knows where. It could be to work, to home, to the shops, to some of the few parks within Sunagakure, or other places. Few people traveled with their family, the ones with their family Kino assumed were heading to the park, or the shops with each other. He sighed, he had always wanted that kind of a life, instead he had gotten a split up family with little contact, or long contact with the other side of the family. Now he had three parents, two by birth and one who married her way into becoming Kino's step mother. Well, technically the two aren't married yet, her and Kino's real father, though the two have visited each other, and consider each other to be, even if Kino barely visited his step mother.
Kino began to think, what would he be doing for training today? He knew a lot of work, but could he be doing jutsu training? No, he knew he wouldn't be, that was a break in his father's consideration, and something Kino didn't mind doing all too much. No, it would indeed be something physical, something that would make his entire body numb, something that would involve back breaking work, he scared himself thinking about how long, and how much work he was about to get himself into. Damnit.. he thought, beginning to notice that his father had began to take a strange disliking to Kino ever since he had arrived, perhaps his father was planning something? And Kino had ruined said plans? That had been the most assumable guess, though he could never know, he didn't feel like asking for more work by asking his father.
Kino was currently wearing an outfit that had been made especially for his father's methods of training. His father had quite the unique style of training, well, at least Kino had never seen anyone else using these methods. Hell, he doesn't even see his father using this, the only person training the way he is is himself, Kino. The outfit had something on the inside of the clothing, inbetween the inside and the outside of the outfit's shirt, which felt like metal, which was one reason Kino didn't sleep in this outfit. According to his father it was to avoid getting his stomach cut by the shuriken and Kunai being tossed at him. He remembered the day he asked that, his father had a small evil grin on his face the day he told Kino that, though at the same time he had protected Kino slightly while training, he still had to worry about his arms and thighs getting cut. He wore special boots that reached up to his knees, that blocked him getting cut as well. This outfit had been specially designed for the training, something Kino worried about as his father soon approached. He could only hope that one day his father would not make him take off the outfit for training.
Kino sighed, after gulping at the thought of training with his father without the outfit. "Kino!!" He heard, as he sat on the bench. The voice was somewhat familiar, an old, dry sounding voice filled with slight enragement "Damnit.." he said, just under his breath as he stood up, looking over, all around for who had shouted his name. He looked at his father who was carrying a huge bag full of weapons, he also held a Katana, sheathed within the scabbard. He only looked, walking forward, his eyes opened wide, looking at the equipment that had been brought along for only the first hour of training..
"We wont have you wimping out again!" He yelled, referring to when he wouldn't go back into the village to even look at the attacker.
"Alright then.." Kino would say, walking towards the training grounds where his father was heading. His father had greyish hair, considering the fact he was near his forties. His had a small beard as well, shaved to where he only had his beard on his chin. His hair, and beard both had small grains of sand in it, making it look somewhat dusty, this was probably due to the fact that he was dashing around Sunagakure wasting his money and getting the 'appropriate' equipment for training, as he called it.
They went outside of the village, "Nope. We wont be stopping here," He said, with a somewhat evil grin placed widely upon his face, "we're continuing towards the village known as Konohagakure, though not going entirely into the village, we will be training just.. outside of the village, within the forest." The very thought of what his father had planned was somewhat frightening for Kino, was the man planning on killing Kino within the forest they were traveling too? Just how far outside of the village were they going to train? He gulped silently, not daring to let it be heard by his father so that he could only scare him more.
"Alright.." Kino replied simply, not letting the fear he had effect his voice. His voice had been rather calm sounding, along with a sense of dryness, considering the fact that he hadn't had a drink in a few hours, around two to three hours ago, four being the max.
They continued, it would take a few days to get to the forests of Konohagakure. The days were long, and had a lot of work involved. He had been training, according to his father, not as hard as he first imagined, though, he supposed that his father was saving Kino's precious bit of energy for the real training to come. Kino dreaded the day they arrived. For rest and sleep, they would set camp up in any place that seemed appropriate for the father, and any other place for Kino's camp. His father slept in quite the large tent, colored a dark shade of blue, often it had been covered by the sands of the desert, after the wind pushed the sand onto it. For Kino, a small blanket. Nothing more, he was to sleep in any dangerous spot where the possibility for death was high, however he always managed to survive the dark gloomy death filled nights.
The nights had been somewhat restless, Kino never truly getting any sleep, if he did it only lasted about an hour or two, though he had gotten used to these conditions, often on his training journeys, as his father called them, he would not get as much sleep as he normally did in a bed. Throughout the nights, Kino thought about the past, and times spent with his mother, when he helped her on missions.
Most missions he had helped his mother on were quite simple, such as a simple escort across the village, delivering messages within the village or to those outside of the village, perhaps the next village over, or a bit farther. On a bit more dangerous missions he would have to sneak out, and reveal himself at the point to when it would be too late for his mother to turn back. He remembered this one time, when the two were out on a mission with two others, they had also been elite Jounin shinobi.
That was just the beginning of the mission, he couldn't think about it anymore, now that he had arrived at the spot where his father wanted to train at. "Alright, now. I am not going to push you so hard like all those other times during training. Instead, you're going to be running for your life." Kino only watched as his father said that with an evil looking grin on his face. He took off the cloak he had been wearing, his father did, to show the weapons of destruction he had brought along to kill Kino with. Kino only stood there, his eyes wide open, realizing his father did indeed plan on killing him, today, was not going to be a fun day..
Kino ran, as his father told him to to, his father was giving him a three minute head start to hide, or run as far as he could get. Kino was slightly shocked, he hadn't really thought his father would really attempt to kill him for training. He stood and thought for a brief second, thinking. He closed his eyes, thinking. His father had just decided to end the life of his supposedly first born son, all Kino could think was it was a joke, a simple dream, based upon the past events of his training when he thought his life was at stake. Though, no, he reassured himself that this was real. "Shit.." He would said, just under his panting breath. He continued, though stopped once more to look at the foot prints he had left behind. He continued to stand there, panting. closing his eyes, he was pretty much doomed. When he opened, he would open to the sound of a loud explosion, a signal that meant his father was coming. Kino opened his eyes at the sound, a red had been in his eyes, the first tomoe of the sharingan.
{First tomoe Achieved.}
Kino quickly climbed up into the tree, leaving behind no evidence that he had done so. He jumped from branch to branch, going back the way he came. Though not on the same path, no, he was around fifty feet away from the original path. This was so he would follow the foot prints he left behind and be left clueless as to which direction kino had gone. He has quite a few choices, finding Kino's new path would be unlikely.
Kino continued to dash through the tree's, taking caution as he got away from his father, hiding to where his father wouldn't see him. He hid in the leaves between jumps, though he had worried his father would be capable of finding him using his Doujutsu. He didn't know much about the sharingan, therefore he only figured it could be used to find chakra signatures. This had Kino worried, and had him thinking. There was no way he could run all the way back to Sunagakure, seeing as he was lost. His only hope was to make it to Konohagakure, though there was a large problem. He was lost, lost in the forest the soon would have the smell of death linger the area. He would have to fight, fight for his life against his father. He didn't want to, in fact, he had his doubts that he would be capable of making it out of this situation alive. He gulped, a fatal mistake, seeing as his father was just a few trees away.
Kino then heard the wind being cut by multiple blades. He jumped back, onto the branch behind him. His sharingan had been activated, his single tomoe, staring directly at his father. Kino's face began to change, from a worried face, to a serious face. He was ready to fight. Though he is not so foolish to charge right into the battle, no. He would prepare, using his brain, his knowledge of his father against him, he would use this to fight. He had no idea on the surrounding area, besides the fact that it was a forest. But that alone was enough to spring a few traps.
Kino watched his father take out a Kunai, and toss it, right at Kino. His sharingan made it easier to track the Kunai moving at the average speed of a human being, to the point to where he could catch the handle right before it would cut his neck. And he did, the flying Kunai stopped once he caught it. The blade had been only a few inches away from cutting him, at the point to where he caught it. He twirled it around and held the Kunai in a defensive position, beginning to come up with plans now that he had a weapon to fight his father with. Though that didn't matter too much, his father had a ton of weapons, hundreds of Kunai and Shuriken alone, though not on him. He left most supplies behind to make it to where he had a lighter load.
Kino's foot reached the branch, at that point he turned around and headed off, dashing away from his father. Though he didn't think it would help, his father now knew where Kino was, he could just as easily track him down again. But he didn't, instead the man Kino dared to call his father waited there in the branch he was sitting in when he threw his Kunai. Kino took advantage and dashed away, out of the sight of his father.
Kino would be far enough to rest now. He tried to suppress the amount of panting he was doing, he was breathing too heavily, his position would be given away again. He went from quick heavy breaths to slow calm breaths. He had been successful in that, hiding once more. He waited, the Kunai remaining in a defensive position, his sharingan remained active, as he waited for his father.
He waited in complete silence, minus a few breaths he made to where he could breath in and out. He suppressed his breath however, to make sure that his father wouldn't be able to hear him. He began to continue the memory of his mother and her team, on the dangerous high ranking mission.
Kino gripped his Kunai, tightly, thinking about that day over and over again. Tears began to run down his face, it had been his fault that had happened. He was told not to go with them, yet he insisted on traveling with them. It's the same as back then, the current situation was. Kino was useless, just as useless as he was back then. He couldn't fight his father, he had no skill as a shinobi at all. He had just as much skill as back then. He closed his eyes, the voices in his head telling him he can make it, however he thought otherwise. He thought he would die. He opened his eyes, the second tomoe had been activated.

He remembered this one time, when the two were out on a mission with two others, they had also been elite Jounin shinobi.
- Flashback:
Kino was in Kirigakure, his mother had informed Kino that she was heading out on a mission soon, and that it was far too dangerous for him to come. Kino had trained with his father for quite sometime now, and he figured himself already to be a great shinobi, capable of the A ranked mission her mother was being sent on. Kino was interested in the mission, he thought it had been a simple supply pick up, get some medicines and weapons and get out, though he didn't know what a majority of the mission had been for. He prepared, packing some food, only a light package, so he could move more quicker and keep up with the elite Jounin.
His parents and her team mates had left somewhat early, however Kino had been ready for when they did. Her mother had left Kino with a baby sitter, a poorly trained one, she had lost track of Kino after the door slammed shut and the mother headed for the village gates.
Kino followed them, down the path, discretely. He remained, supposedly unnoticed. There were times for when he wished he could walk up to them and say hello, however each time when they were cooking they were too close to the village. Kino often couldn't hear their conversations of the mission, which in his case was bad, cause he wanted to know more about what the mission was. He had only figured it was just supply pick up.
He noticed a large, seemingly abandoned building that the three were heading into. why are they going in there..? Usually there's someone meeting with them for simple supply pick ups.. He thought, silently in his head. He glared at them as one of the two men went inside, the other waiting outside, hidden just like his mother had been, silently in the trees. Kio remained silent too, however he hadn't been as perfectly hidden as he thought. He heard the rustles of leaves and branches, he would look behind him thinking it was someone on who had been assigned on to his mother's Jounin team for the mission, he was wrong, and it had been a fatal accident, going on that entire mission had been.
That was just the beginning of the mission, he couldn't think about it anymore, now that he had arrived at the spot where his father wanted to train at. "Alright, now. I am not going to push you so hard like all those other times during training. Instead, you're going to be running for your life." - flashback:
As Kino turned back, his shirt was grabbed, before he could shout a mysterious shadowy figure had placed his hand over Kino's mouth preventing him from shouting. A Kunai was held to his neck at the same time. He heard a man's evil laughter, only it had been slightly silent, his mother and her team couldn't hear the man, however that didn't matter, Kino had assumed his death was assured. However, right after he was thinking of what would happen next, the man dashed forward, keeping the Kunai a good distance away from Kino's neck. "Alrighty, hello there, Jounin shinobi." The man would say, trying to hold back laughter, the man seemed to have an absent mind, not being in control of his actions, he would be willing to kill Kino any second. "Found your back up" the man continued, he had recognized the clothing Kino was wearing as Kirigakure, and he apparently knew what village the shinobi invading his turf were from. Kino only gulped, and then was hit by a knee in his back, "Don't move, or make anymore damn noises, little brat." The man had said, at that point in time Kino had only been around six.
Kino watched as his mother jumped forward out of her hiding spot, he had heard her shout Kino's name, the man only laughed as his reinforcements came out from the bushes. They held up Katana blades taking an offensive stance, ready for combat. Kino's mother immediately stopped where she was. "Now now, anymore movement and I slit this one's throat." The man holding Kino had said, it was no bluff, he was around an inch away from Kino's throat, based on his past actions he would most likely feel no guilt from this, after all shinobi were trained to kill. Most shinobi have had guilt drained out of them, or have had the feeling so much that it wouldn't bother them. Kino was in a grave situation indeed, his life places on the line, and there was nothing his mother could do about it, she only stood there, holding back any sign of emotions, as shinobi had been trained to do in a situation like this.
He only watched, as the situation unfolded in front of his eyes. "Alright," the man holding Kino said. "I believe a deal will be in order here." he continued, Kino moving his eyes up to look at the face, however his hair had blocked any view. "I'll hand over the brat.. If.. and only if.." The man continued, only to be interrupted by a small laugh, the man seemed to have been drunk. "You can kill my men." He finished, Kino figured it was an easy job for a team of elite Jounin shinobi. But that was before a large group came out of the building. "He's dead." One of the people in the group said, then Kino remembered that one of the Jounin had gone in there earlier, before Kino's capture. Kino's eyes were wide, the man that had gone in there was an elite Jounin and a good friend of Kino and his mother. A tear nearly fell from Kino's eyes, however he didn't let his tears show, not in front of his mother who was going through a lot already. Her son had been captured, her best friend had just been killed. The next worst possibility was Kino would die, or she would before she could save Kino.
Kino only watched as his mother began to wipe the tears off her face, and pull out her special Katana blade, ready for what seemed to be a war for her and the other Jounin. The men behind Kino and his captor charged at Kino's mother, Kunai and Katana blades at the ready. His mother opened her eyes at the sound of cheering for fresh blood. She raised her katana blade, charging towards the group. Her arms fell down to her side, seemingly they were numb, however they weren't. Her hand gripped onto the handle of the Katana blade tightly, as she span around, avoiding a few thrown Kunai. She swung her arm behind her, not daring to bend and break it, as the Katana cut through the neck of a single enemy, one out of seemingly fourteen were done. They were moving far too fast to count how many there truly were. A few more casualties appeared, one or two out of the five were from friendly fire, another was from his mother, and the last one the other Jounin. They continued to cut down the enemies.
It was brutal, Kino could only watch in fear as the Jounin had an all out battle. It was a frightful view, a group of elite, missing nin Jounin ranked shinobi, versus two elite Jounin. Each side powerful, however the two seemed to have more power than the enemy, they had been outnumbered however have already cut down a lot of the enemy forces. All Kino could do was sit there and watch, just like the captor could. The captor was even more shocked than Kino had been, all he could do was gasp, he acted like he was gasping for life.
As soon as the last of them had been killed off, the mother and the other Jounin turned towards Kino and his captor "Alright, we've won. We've defeated your entire group." The male Jounin had said, with a slightly dry voice.
"F-FUCK" The man said, taking the Kunai and pulling it away from Kino "DON'T COME ANY CLOSER OR I'LL MURDER HIM" the captor said, taking his arm, holding it out to his side, then beginning to return the knife in attempts to cut Kino's neck once the man took a step forward. Kino and his mother had both been shocked, Kino more than his mother. Maybe that had been due to the next part, coming up.
Kino heard a slashing sound, the wind being cut from up to down, right behind the captor. A second later, before the arm holding the Kunai could even reach in front of Kino, it had been cut off. Blood spilled to the ground which had already had the spilled blood of the group of evildoers. "SHIT" The captor yelled, looking behind him he noticed the other Jounin that was presumed to be dead.
"Tell your men.. in the next life.." he said, panting heavily "Don't assume a man's dead." he finished, falling to the ground. Kino could no longer hear the man's breathing, the man had been cut up severely. His blood had been added into the large puddle of blood that had already been there.
The captor continued yelling, which may have been a reason to why Kino couldn't hear any breathing at first. He could hear barely anything past the screams of pain. Kino managed to get away, his mother zoomed past, as Kino got away from the single armed man. Kino looked back as his mother passed, her blade had already pierced the man through his beating heart. That didn't last long, as soon as she took back her Katana the beating stopped. Both the surviving Jounin sheathed their blades and went over to their fallen comrade.

Kino was sitting
there in the bushes on a tree branch, gripping a Kunai tightly. He had been
breathing slightly worriedly, halfly hoping his father would find him so Kino
could have no where to run and fight, at the same time he wanted to jump out
there and fight with his own free will. The two choices were both calling to
him, making him want to go one way then the other, for over a few minutes he
thought it over then dashed outside of the bushes. He stopped half way onto the
branch, then yelled out, so his father would find him. "HEY, QUIT FUCKING
HIDING" Is what he had said, using that as an excuse to why he hadn't
found his father yet.
Only a second passed, then he heard a slightly loud bump, a solid object
hitting a looser solid object. He turned around, his Kunai being gripped
tightly as the arm with the hand that held the Kunai was swung behind the way
Kino turned. he turned right, and his right hand had the Kunai. he saw his
father, attempting to bring down a Katana's blade, to cut through Kino's arm,
or perhaps neck, he didn't really worry so much on the accuracy, seeing as he
had a chance of dying if he didn't hit. The Kunai continued, being gripped
tightly and having been used to attempt to cut open Kino's father's guts.
He had been successful, the man had been cut. Liquid rushed and gushed right
out of the cut, seeing as he had been cut to where the wounds were fatal. The
cut started at the man's lower right side, near the hip, the moved up through
the stomach, which would have opened it up and spilled anything that had
recently been eaten out, and the cut continued, right through the heart. The
man should have died right away, though there had been a big problem. Kino only
realized, his sense of surprise only increased, his fear growing, his heart
beat rapidly increasing, from the point when the crystal clear water hit his
face, he realized, this had only been a water clone. The falling man, who he
assumed to be his father, having only ended up being a clone of him, began to
transform, just before landing on Kino pushing him off. He transformed into a
huge body of water, literally. Though huge may of not been the words for it, it
had been the size of an average human being, more so or less.
The water fell past Kino, slightly getting him wet but he ignored that fact. He
realized, once the water hit it would alert Kino's father, should he be in
range of the sound of an average sized human body of water making a splash.
The water hit the ground, and just as Kino feared, though he was asking for his
father to appear earlier, he looked over to the left of himself, at the sound
of wind being cut by multiple blades. He saw black, spinning weapons, used for
ranged combat headed his way, Shurikens. He got lucky, if he hadn’t have moved
his head over he would have had a shuriken to the side of the head, possibly
even through the skull, resting into the brain. But nope, he had moved, and
that was how he got lucky. By simply turning his head he managed to avoid a
fatal wound, however, he was slightly wounded. A small cut, not too deep, on
his left cheek. He was slightly relieved, having avoided a major, fatal wound
that would have killed him, nearly instantly, if not then on the spot,
instantly. However this was not the end of it, the sounds continued, Kino could
only, in response, perform a series of hand signs. Quick, rapid hand signs for
a technique he had learned at the shinobi academy. The hand signs consisted of
Ram, boar, dog, ox, and snake, they had been performed in that exact order, and
Kino hadn’t wasted any time in performing them either. As soon as he stopped,
the extra shuriken were near, few having been less than a foot away. He reached
his hands out, as four out of five shuriken had hit something where Kino was
standing. His father came out from where he was hiding and stood there, in a
large field, out in the open, visible to even the plainest of eyes, the half
blind, the near blind, hell, even those who were near blind and drunk could see
him. The sound of a solid object hitting could be heard, his father stood
there, arms crossed, with a small grin.
The sounds of blades
heard again, as the object that had once been living fell from where Kino had
stood, where the shurikens had been aimed at. It hit the ground, a small, boulder,
flat, stuck into the ground is where the object landed. It sounded like wood
hit the rock, that’s because, wood did hit the rock. At the last second, before
Kino had been hit by the shuriken, he had used the body replacement technique.
Kino hid, within the
branches of tree, hidden by the leaves. He waited, his breathing haven been
suppressed, however not completely. He breathed silently, to the point to where
barely any mortal could hear him breathing; it would take someone with abnormal
hearing, someone who could hear things, perhaps a mile away, to be able to hear
Kino. Though it may have been over exaggerated, someone with good enough
hearing may be able to hear him up close. Though that didn’t matter now, he
launched his arm, moving to the right, as his right arm had been over to the
left, his hand located behind him, holding a sharp, multi-pointed projectile
weapon. His arm swung back over to the right, his grip on the sharp,
multi-pointed projectile weapon, capable of causing slight destruction
depending on how it’s used. The sounds of blades cutting the air could be
heard, by someone with normal hearing. The sharp, multi-bladed projectile was
known by most as a Shuriken. Kino had just barely grabbed onto one before the
lot of shurikens had hit him, and he kept the shuriken, so he could use it in
his fight. The Kunai was located in the hand that didn’t have the shuriken that
he had just thrown.
He shuriken had
continued, spinning rapidly by the way it had been thrown, it was flying directly
towards the father, and he had been completely aware of it, seeing as he
rotated his head to view what was heading for him. He was not as lucky as Kino
had originally been, though Kino’s luck was increasing greatly, and his
father’s seemed to be diminishing as the battle raged on. His father had been
cut, though the wound wouldn’t be so fatal, it would remain a minor wound,
though it depended on whose opinion it was. The wound itself could be deadly in
a way; however, it wouldn’t kill him. His eye was cut – destroyed completely.
His left eye. The cut was deep, the eye having had a cut half way through by
the time the shuriken had passed by. Though his father never flinched, never
even winced in the pain of losing his left eye, it was as if he hadn’t been bothered
by it. He simply turned in the direction of Kino, and grinned. The grin began
to turn into a somewhat evil smile, as he pulled out a Katana blade,
unsheathing it from the scabbard it had been sheathed into.
Kino
only stared, as the man begin retreating in the opposite direction. He sighed,
a sigh of relief. He had time to take a break, to relax and let his body adjust
to the current situation. He needed a plan, a way to defeat his father, to kill
him before he has the chance to kill Kino. He sighed, thinking. He knew he didn’t
have too much time to adjust, seeing as his father was an expert medical
shinobi, he couldn’t fix it up or heal it to the point to where it can be used
once more, to see, the sharingan within his left eye was lost now. He was blind
in that eye, never being able to see from it again. Even though his father had
been a medical shinobi, it didn’t mean he could fix up the eye so quickly, Kino
knew he had about twenty minutes to come up with a plan, and this is assuming
his father came prepared to lose an eye. If not he probably had an hour, and
his father would most likely eventually die from the fatal wound. The wound
would kill, though not right away, it would kill due to blood loss or
infection, depending which came first. Blood loss could be handled without
supplies, though depending on the medical shinobi. Kino sighed; his father wasn’t
exactly the quickest when it came to wounds, so he would have time to plan. His
father hadn’t been named an expert due to his quick healing process, no, he was
considered an expert due to not losing a single patient, taking his time for
every last wound he tends to, though rushing depending on the situation, and
never getting a single complaint from anyone he tends to. Knowing this, and how
much time had passed, he may not have much time left. A cut eye wasn’t too
large of a wound to tend to, for his father anyways, though healing an eye to
the point to where he could see out of it was beyond his skill, he could stop
infection and the bleeding.
He
sighed, looking around the area. He needed to develop a plan, and he figured he
could come up with one based on the surrounding area. He scanned the area,
looking for anything that could help him out. Scanning the area he noticed, the
log that he had substituted with earlier to avoid being hit by multiple
shuriken. He grinned, a small grin that would soon grow wide onto his face, a
plan had finally developed and all he had to do now was wait for it to fall
into place after preparing.
After
preparing, he waited; sitting in the branch, the log had been nearly the same,
only a slight change in appearance. Kino’s grin was now wide on his face as he
waited, he was thinking as he waited. Would his plan work? What would his
father’s reaction be? Some questions he should have worried about before
preparing, a bad plan with flaws in it could be the end of him now, though it
was too late to fall out, he needed to go through with it and hope that it
would only work. He would wait for any sign, there was a few rustling in the
leaves that he was facing just ahead, though he only hoped that it was a wild
animal, or a distraction, bait, meant to drag Kino out to reveal what ever plan
he had. He waited, gulping silently, to where it was hard for someone with
average ears, like Kino’s father, to hear. As soon as he did though, someone flew
out of the tree branches ahead, out of the leaves on the branches. It was Kino’s
father, he had a black eye patch on his left eye, and under the patch had some
bandaging, he could see the rushed work now, apparently Kino did quite the bit
of damage. To make his father rush through the tending of his own wound, or he
didn’t care enough. Perhaps he thought today he would die, Kino only smiled at
the thought as he sent a sharp multi-pointed projectile flying towards his
father. He would watch as it struck the being that had the form of his father,
cutting through his right eye and half way through it’s skull, Kino’s mouth
dropped, it was that easy? He thought, was liquid flew out of his father’s
head, Kino was delighted, shouting in a victorious voice, though, as he looked
at the dead body he would only see it turning into something, WATER?! he
looked shocked, his father managed to both bait out Kino’s plan and find his
location.
