Practicing chakra control (solo)

Finishing lunch, Itami cleaned up the dishes and and went to get his shoes. He took his weapon pouch and a water bottle and opened the door. He left his jacket at home for the temperature was high and not a single cloud could be found in the sky. He started walking in the direction of the forest, singing softly while passing the bussy people on the streets. When he was on the edge of the forest line, he stopped and put down the water bottle and his pouch against a near by tree trunk. He did a couple of lunges and pushups to warm up and then stood up again, ready to improve his chakra and the basic jutsu he knew. He started off with the ram-snake-tiger hand seals and performed the clone tehnique. He observed his illusion clone and let it linger for a while longer and then watched as the clone turned into a puff of smoke and then disappeared.
Itami then performed the hand seals for the replacement tehnique. He disapeared and instead of himself, there was a log on the ground and Itami was behind the tree where his water bottle and weapons lay. He narrowed his eyes and crouched down to pick up the water bottle and take a sip. He didn't appear in the spot he wanted to. Throwing the bottle to the floor, he repeated the jutsu a couple of times until he was satisfied with the progress.
He then performed the dog-boar-ram hand seals and transformed into his father. The transformation, as far as Itami could see it, was perfect. He walked around a bit, liking how tall he was, but then returned to his previous spot and transformed back to himself.
Deciding it was time to make things a little bit more interesting, he looked at the trees and chose a particularly narrow and tall one. He walked over to it so he was half a metre away from the trunk. Closing his eyes, he imagined his chakra flow. he imagined the blue chakra travel towards his feet, gathering and distributing perfectly along the feet. Opening his eyes again, he lightly stepped on the trunk, not needing any distance and speed momentum because his chakra control was fairly good. He carefully stepped on, walking along the trunk, horizontally aligned with the ground. He passed a couple of branches, not stopping until he reached one he thought was high enough. He walked along it and then swung himself around so he was hanging upside down, like a bat. He grinned cherily, liking how the forest looked from a different perspective.
When too much blood went to his head, he let go of the chakra in his feet, confident he will be able to grasp another branch on the way down. As he fell, he swung around and managed to do just that, grabbing hold of a branch near the ground. He swung himself up and sent chakra to his feet again, walking along the branch and down the trunk. About two metres away from the ground, he let go of the chakra and jumped to the ground.
He went back over to his weapons and sat down in the grass, content and pleasantly tired. He played with the chakra a little, sending it to his hands and fingers, and then directing it to his feet and back up again. He could feel himself getting more skilled. He liked progress and he liked improving. He just hoped some interesting challanges would come his way and make things move at a faster pace. Not that he was not comfortable here in his home village.
After a while he got up, took another swig of water and put on his weapon pouch again. He walked casually towards his home, enjoying the sunshine on his skin.
