Meeting with the Amekage

Arcanis was surprised by the entrance of the newcomer.  He sheepishly stopped working out.  "No I'm not training just trying to stay healthy.  I'm a traveling businessman with very little time to exercise."  Arcanis looked at the the gentleman.  "My name is Arcanis.  At your service.  Yes I am here to see the Amekage."  Arcanis being a good businessman had no problem dropping his name with everyone he meets.  He however was not an incompetent businessman as he was not about to discuss his business with a stranger.  He sat there smiling.  "You know this office is quite spectacular.  I've had a lot of time to admire the space.  you know I think the Amekage is some kind of genius."  Arcanis said offhandedly.

Worr laughed infectiously as Arcanis introduced himself and spoke of Worr as a genius. Worr wiped the tears from the sides of his eyes as he put a hand on the shoulder of the boy as he said he was a businessman. The Chakra then linked between each other as Worr had to pull back a bit as to make sure his Chakra would not give him away.

"I would not say he is a genius...a loveable fool maybe, but never a genius. You know from what I hear...he is actually a pretty rad dude and loves to party. You should ask him sometime."

Worr smiled as he lifted his hand from Arcanis as he leaned back in his chair.

"By the way you can tell me your business. I am the caretaker for the Amekage and it would be a shame if I was not able to perform my duties due to a misunderstanding or communication?"

Worr would ask before he smiled as a glint in his eye would show that he is indeed a very knowledgeable man.

Arcanis had no problem dealing with an official representative.  He was glad to finally talk to someone about it.  

"Well you see I am a man of a few talents.  I am able to facilitate people with speedy travel to their destination.  I have been traveling around setting up the very first transportation highway.  For those who can afford it of course.  This is a way to bring commerce and also to travel to distant countries on business or pleasure.  It is simply the best way to travel and this country is one of the first to be able to try it.  Mind you it is a very secure and safe way to travel.  The system is completely controlled by the Kage and I only facilitate the maintenance of the system."

Arcanis finished his pitch.  The words weren't memorized at all they were simply what he has been doing. Arcanis continued.


"I do have a meeting with the Kage.  If he doesn't mind I would love it if you attended you seem like a very enjoyable character.  If the Kage is half as charismatic as you are I think the meeting will end as a party as you say he likes.  You might find that it's something interesting."


Arcanis didn't quite want to complete all dealings with this gentleman in the waiting room.  He had come to meet the Kage but he would be kind and courteous.

Worr listened to the young "business man" named Arcanis as he finally stood up, revealing the scars on his chest from his open shirt.  He wasted no time in heading fro the door to the Amekage's office as he pulled out a key and silently slipped it into a lock as he gently placed a hand on the office door.  It opened slowly, no creaks, no sign of wear and tear, it was a definately different from any other place in the world.  He then pulled the key from the lock as he sighed and looked back at Arcanis.

"Well my good sir, we best not keep the big guy waiting.  Care to join me inside, there is a bar in here as well, I am sure the Amekage would not mind us having a bit to drink on an occassion such as this."

Worr said as he yawned before disappearing into the darkened room as if he knew exactly what to do and where to go, and for all Arcanis knew he was just a servant of the Amekage and that would be the reason why it seemed he knew as much as he did.

Arcanis Watched as the man stood.  Catching a glance at the mans chest seeing the number of scars and the way he carried himself.  He was a man of wisdom and cunning.  Also a man of battle.  The Kage indeed had an impressive caretaker.  At the same time the man, who had yet to introduce himself, had a certain charm and jolliness about him.  Arcanis did not let this slip his notice.  When the man moved to the door and beaconed Arcanis to follow, Arc gladly stood, smiling and approached the door.  

"Actually a drink would be nice."  Arcanis followed the man.  He inspired a certain amount of trust.  The yawn was what caught Arcanis attention.  He made no attempt to hide the yawn as a man in service might.  Trusting the man Arcanis believed that at the very least this man had power in the Kage's eyes.  'Possibly close friends.'  Arcanis reasoned it away.

Worr poured them both a drink before stepping from behind the bar and looking as gracefully as he could he handed Arcanis a drink, it was not a strong liquor, but a drinking liquor made for sipping; it's flavor was a bit smokey and had the aftertaste of a wooden area, but it did manage to fill ones stomach as well as raise their spirits.

"Well then I guess I should get the Amekage for you."

Worr said before finishing his drink with ease as if his kidneys were made of lead and the liquor did not affect him. He walked simply to the book case and pulled a book as it opened and Worr disappeared into a room leaving Arcanis in silence. There was a few moments as there was soon the sound of a toilet flushing as Worr came back from the bookshelf drying his hands. He still wore the same getup, and smiled to Arcanis as he sat behind the desk of the Amekage. He outstretched his hand and had to hold back from laughing.

"The name is Worr, I am the Amekage...The great Leader of this Village. So what is it I can do for you."

He acted as if he and Arcanis had never met as his grin gave him away. Due to his careful and precise nature he made sure all the windows were closed and the curtains drawn. The Office doors were shut so that Arcanis and him were alone, and Arcanis was only the third to know his name outside the Village.

Arcanis sat there as the man seemingly opened a hidden door behind the bookcase.  Arcanis stood there not knowing if he should follow or not.  It was clearly a secret.  'Maybe a hidden room that the Kage used?'  the sounds of a restroom nearly knocked Arcanis on his ass.  He shook his head momentarily.  'He is using the bathroom?'

The man returned and Arcanis thought 'maybe now he is going to fetch the Kage'.  Taking a sip as the man walked over to the Kage's desk.  As the man began to sit down he Arcanis swallowed hard.  It made sense now.  Only a moment later was his conclusion affirmed.  When the Kage reavealed himself to be Worr the Amekage.  But his mischief didn't end there.  He inquired to the reason Arcanis was here, not even hiding the grin on his face.  Arcanis smiled then laughed.  he bowed his head roaring.  Catching his breath Arcanis sat up tears in his eyes.  "You are magnificent.  'A pretty rad dude that loves to party' huh?"  Arcanis laughed again.  Arcanis had never felt this much joy.  "Whooooo you sell your self short on your genius, M'lord."  Arcanis caught his breath.  

Arcanis stood and bowed slightly "It is an honor to be in your presence Lord Kage.  A true honor.  As I told your "Caretaker"  I am here as an entrepreneur.  My wares is speed and efficiency of travel. I plan to charge individuals to use the system as a means to keep the shop running and of course the benefit would also be to you yourself as well as your village. The Travel system would bring comerce and prosperity to your village.  Now For security reasons the depot can be built outside of town, but mind you even with that procaution you have the power to close your end of the system closing off your Village if needs be.  There is literally no down side."

Arcanis spoke fluidly with a brilliant smile even the remanants of his tears from laughing shone on his face.

Worr smiled then sat down, leaning back as he looked around the room. He then stood up and opened the window and just leapt out of the window. Not a word was said and the moment seemed to almost freeze in time, and then without a sound Hunter was back in his chair leaning back and looking at Arcanis. Arcanis would probably view this as some sort of delusion, but it was merely just a way for Worr to calm his mind. The people of the Village even knew that Worr loved to pull off illusions that worked well with his Kageheya Jutsu.

"Well I see that you mean business and I am fine with that, it does benifit me to have the portal due to traveling. As for the shop...I need to get a portion of the profit. Only fair that is. Not much, just a modest 200 Ryo per month and I will make sure the shop is kept and up and running, this should not be too much. I mean you are planning on running multiple shops no? As well as offer you a chance to establish a sort of base of operations. I too have some ambitions, and I need your little system so it can work in my favor."

Worr finished as he would look around the room, he began to mold a ball of dark matter energy in his hand, it was no doubt a sort of extension of his Kageheya as he pulled a firecraker from out of nowhere and he laughed as he lit it and threw it outside in the rain. There was a grand explosion outside as he continued to wait to see what the reaction of Arcanis that Worr's glass was now full of liquor again.

Arcanis watched as the Kage leaped out of the window.  A puzzled look twitched on Arcanis face.  then the delusion was gone.  Hmm.  Genjutsu?  Arcanis wasn't prone to visions so it was the only thing he could think of.  The Kage spoke accepting his offer which made Arcanis quite happy.  His smile continued as normal this time he meant it a little more than he normally did.  

"Wonderful that sounds wonderful.  I can begin construction immediately.  And as a gesture of good faith I shall put down our first months payment."  Arcanis withdrew 200 ryo and presented it to the Kage.  "I was curious about that.  Could I also do some work for you to supplement both of our incomes?  Having a base of operations here would give me ample time to do quite a few jobs for you."

Worr smiled as he stood up and outstretched his arm once more.  He wore that same smile as when they met in the hallway.  It was as if anything and everything that happened to him did not phase or stop him from doing what he wanted, when he wanted.

"I know you are busy and must be getting going. You are free to come and go as you please here in Amegakure.  If there is anything you need from me, just ask.  As for now I believe I am late as well to a party that is being held in the slums near the bottom of the skyline."

Worr laughed as he would shake Arcanis's arm if he outstretched it.  Then in the same moment he would be walking back into the bookcase.  He had to be using the mist from the open window to create clones as he soon came back out dressed like a urchin. Ripped jeans, a ripped tailored shirt and an over-shirt that just exhumed the meaning of the word party.  Worr would bow to Arcanis once more before he disappeared down the hallway.  This left Arcanis to see his way out, and Worr feeling like he had made a new friend/contact in this world of Shinobi.

"You really should relax and unwind...sometimes it is as important to slack off as it is to be dangerously focused."
