New Cycle (P, NK)

Well, guess he was out of luck. Observing the boy's following motion Youta would bring her arms in front of her and when the kick was sent, she would catch and lock his leg before it reached her mid section. Time to test how he took advantage of opportunities and how he responded to counters. Moving her hands apart, she would spin his leg. Of course, if you tried to just spin it, you would more likely break it rather than spin the whole body, but the trick here, as well as in most other twisting moves was that he would do the motion himself, it was automatic, a response to tension and pain, a way to avoid breaking something. Simply put, the result would be him being thrown into the air spinning.

And Youta would see what he would try next.

Feeling two hands grasp his leg, Mitako suddenly saw the world spin before he gravity took effect and pulled back to earth. He landed on his hands and feet with back arched, he pushed himself back up off the ground and took a step back. He was starting to think there was no way to take her down, not when she was on defense.

It was slightly disappointing that the guy would not try to push the attack while mid air, as it was an amazing opportunity to catch somebody off guard, though at the same time an incredible vulnerability. As the got back on his feet and took a step back, it was quite obvious that he was either having doubts or had completely abandoned the task of attempting to take her down. "I hope that is not all you've got... here, try these." She would say, throwing a couple kunais to land inches from his feet. After that she would raise her right hand in front of her, gesturing to come at her. "Let's try this again. But this time think carefully each attack, I want you to plan."

Mitako jumped slightly at the kunai, and picked them up after she was done talking. He took one in each hand and put one in his belt loop. This time, he side stepped and threw the kunai at her midsection, ripping the other one from his belt loop, he rolled toward her and sprung up. He swung the kunai in his left hand toward her waist, keeping the other one in a defensive position. Of course, he was a little sloppy, and she could send him tumbling away.

[Aight, so not sure how much you're using to combat here, but this is called timeline manipulation and is something you should get used to if you hope to learn to fight here well, as I hope to teach you some of the mistakes that usually make one lose fights. Also 'couple' means two, not three kunai, but assume its three and move on xD]

Youta watching the boy swing his hand would observe as he threw one of the kunai given to him directly at her. At least this time he aimed properly. However, the boy was not yet fast enough and she would be able to predict where the kunai would go and catch it before it reached her. What the boy did following would be a mistake though - he rolled. It may seem fancy and all, but Youta knew well that in combat you want to refrain from actions that would render you incapable to respond properly for any time. Such actions carry a natural risk which needs to be weighed with the potential gains of the action and how easy it is to mess with. In this case, it was pretty easy as the boy was extremely vulnerable during his roll, which on top of it was not as fast as he might have wanted it to be in comparison.

The easiest way to screw him over was to throw the kunai at him as he was rolling, mostly probably incapable to react to it. However Youta did not want to injure the boy on their first meeting. Another option was to use the moment of this movement to change position and hit him right as he finished it. The Chuunin knew harsh lessons are the ones learned best, but she was interested in what he intended to do next, so hopefully the boy would avoid using such moves in the future. What amused her even more though would be that after he finished the roll, the boy would spring up, jump at her. Something else that one should try to avoid in close quarters combat, as it prevented you from moving immediately, while you were temporarily suspended mid air, which might become an extended moment of the fight in which they were at a disadvantage.

This was something she had to teach him a lesson about though, so after stepping to the left to avoid the boy's rather low aimed slash while he was still in the air, she would send a vertical kick meant to hit him at waist level and probably send the boy flying up. Were this to happen the kunai she caught previously would be sent in after him, aimed at his left shoulder to compliment the situation he was in while in the air.

[Sorry, where I live, 'couple' usually means three or four, 'pair' means two. This is the first time I've ever rp'd with a timeline, and I went and reread the rules, so correct me if I make  some mistakes, cause I'm a noob.]

Mitako barely noticed as she sidestepped to avoid the slash, and he realized just how fast she was compared to him. He saw her leg move, and felt a dull pain in his stomach as he was suddenly tossed up in the air, dropping one of the kunai.

He barely had time to react to the kunai that was headed his way, and deflected it with the kunai he had. On his way down, his landing wasn't very graceful, but he did land on his feet. He learned it wasn't a good idea to try and fight while being affected by gravity, and stepped torward her this time, hoping she would strike first.

Hopefully the boy learned his lesson, if not Youta had one more point on it for him to realize it. Swinging her right leg for another kick she would aim it at the moment he would land making it significantly harder to dodge or defend against, probably sending him flying back this time.

Considering it did happen, she would then pick up the deflected kunai from the ground and grasp it like a dagger. Next she would test how good he was in a knife fight. Provided he stood up, the Chuunin would come at him with her speed toned down to nearly his and aim a stab at his stomach, of course stopping it, if it became apparent that she would not be able to avoid it.

Also, you can edit your post without leaving evidence before another post is made, so no need to double post as you can just edit what you want into your last. Just something to know for the future.]

Mitako looked down and saw her prepping a kick, as he was in the air he couldn't really do anything except brace for impact. As the kick struck him, he was sent tumbling backwards. 

He caught him self and stood up only to see Youta coming at him, seemingly slower, with a kunai pointed at his stomach. He would attempt to block her strike with his kunai, but he unsure of what to do after that.

[Aight, so a couple pieces of advice. First, try to add more detail to your posts, even if it's not essential to the fight, because a lot of the progression here is based on how much words you can output. While I have difficulty making big posts myself, trying never hurts. Second, while you are required to only attempt/try/aim etc your attacks, so they are not considered godmod, you can be more aggressive with defensive actions such as blocking. And lastly, detail your counters, even if you think they will not happen. You are free to list as many actions as you wish and change them at any moment, if the situation changes and your character would no longer perform them.]

After being kicked away, the boy did a good job of keeping on his feet. As Youta attacked him with the kunai, the stab would be deflected with the kunai the boy was holding. Guess he could manage a simple knife attack such as this. Youta would take a moment to decide to increase the difficulty by one level. Her eyes darting behind the Genin would spot a rather tall metal fence. Making one step forward, she would slide her right boot on the ground, raising some dust and sand into the boy's face. A punch would be aimed at his right shoulder with her left hand, as the kunai would be withdrawn for another stab, though she would hold it back for now. The goal of these actions was to push him back towards the fence and hopefully pin him down, but if it didn't work and he would not step back, then Youta would use them now being very close and shoot her left knee for his stomach. Assuming her punch connected, she would also use it to grab his shoulder and drive him closer into the knee, then push him into the fence. Were this to be so, she would follow up with another kunai throw, sending the knife she her held back darting towards the boy's face, which would leave a red line on his left cheek if he failed to avoid it somehow.

[Note that many of these actions are based on other actions happening. Timeline manipulation is when you take action before or as your opponent is doing something, preventing their follow-ups. Cheers!]
