A Morning Run {P}

With the sun yet to rise the village of Tengakure was accosted by gentle breezes, which made the cool air even cooler. Most wise people were in their beds, still asleep, or, at the very least, staying out of the cool morning. However, Aki was not one of these people. Rather, the small Nara was dressed just stepping out of her humble home in the poorer part of the village of skyscrapers. Such was part of her daily routine, each day the same.
Taking her first few steps she glanced up and down the vast streets, empty-not a soul. Smiling to herself, Aki turned to the right and began at a slow pace down the wide road. She was not fast nor could she run too far, but she put her whole heart behind it, it was her training. Growth came in steps, so with each step she grew and became better.
As she ran her mind flowed from idea to idea. One second she thought of what she would do the rest of the day and the next how she might wear her hair the next day. Finally, after a few minutes of running, her thoughts centered on one event: her upcoming genin exam. She had been practicing non-stop for the past two weeks. She had all the jutsu down and was pretty sure she was more than ready for it.
However, like most things, Aki was a bit hesitant-she was by no means the most confident of people. She could shuffle about an idea or plan for ages without ever really getting to the point. She was after all only a shy girl at heart. Being jerked from her introspection, Aki found herself out of breath and at her turn around point.
Taking a quick breather, she took a small sip from the bottle of water she brought with her. Then, just like that, she was off again. She had not run very far, but still her small muscles protested as her will drove them onward. Just as her legs felt like they were about to give out she arrived back at her home. Letting out a deep breath, the Nara pushed open the door to her home. Her parents were still asleep yet she simply slipped into the shower to prepare for the rest of her day. The rest of her day would no doubt be comprised of more training.
