The Blood Games

So as time passed and it seemed Goon's technique would not work at the moment, he returned to his feet using his full extent of speed, being near the edge of the water. Sandy had ran past him just a mere second before that, and past the sword Goon had thrown. It seemed he planned to leave the fighting, But no Goon couldn't have that. Back to his feet he moved towards the sword, using the full speed he could go at the moment, and picked the sword up, only to see sandy riding a earth pillar to the sky, "How cowardly of you to run away, you don't deserve the spot of chuunin," Goon said it loud enough to be heard. He had moved backwards extending his field of view of the arena, so he could see when puppet jaws emerges from the water and still keep an eye on sandy. He would wait for a reaction from both, before continuing in what he had thought, standing there with the sword in hand ready to be used, despising every moment of it.

Goon was obviously trying to get Mitako to play a bit more aggressively and lose his cool head, but Malvoes saw the opportunity, and had decided to take it, using the momentum of Mantis emerging from the water and flicked his wrist sending him flying to the top of the pillar, heading straight towards Mitako from behind him. Mantis would extend his blades to his sides, aiming for the ribs of Mitako as he'd rush forward at him at full speed (50), he'd sink his blades in, under his lungs, which would debilitate him and possibly knock him out but probably not kill him. If all goes as planned after hitting Mitako Malvoes would have Mantis dive back into the water. A play that will hopefully take out one of his opponents and leave just two of them left, a final showdown to commence afterwards.

Mitako definitely heard the splash of Mantis emerging from the water. By this time, he was already on top of the pillar too, so he was watching as it came at the jinchuriki. The pillar, being a meter square on top, gave Mitako just enough room to step to the side just as Mantis went to drive it's blades into hid ribs. At the same time, his right hand shot to his sword, drawing it from the sheathe, giving it a full speed swing towards Mantis' back, slicing through the single chakra string that connected both master and puppet. If successful, the puppet would fall 20 meters and clatter into the ground.

With that, Mitako took his quick break atop the pillar.

Goon watched as JAWS left the water in the direction of the pillar. HMMMM...it seems I can't reach the kid I guess anymore, good thing there's one other person. Might as well see what happens when I fuck with him. Thus as he thought, he moved half speed towards the puppet boy, following the outside of the arena. Disappointed in Sandy, he'd shoot the guy on the pillar a look of disgust. But he couldn't worry his head about that, he knew he'd be back in eventually. This fight, exam, test whatever you wanted to call it began to become tedious it was too far drawn out, so it had to end soon. Goon thought he heard a clatter of something hitting the ground but he wasn't too sure about that.

Being twenty meters out from the clash between Goon and Mitako, Malvoes was able to see everything clearly. Mitako side stepped Mantis and was able to cut one of the strings Malvoes was using to control Mantis, but that wasn't enough to disconnect him considering Mantis was a three string puppet. Using the opponents temporary drop in defense as an opportunity, he would have Mantis sweep both arms at his legs, at full speed(50), considering that Mitako was at the literal edge of the meter square of rock, it was unlikely that he would avoid the blades, the curved blades closing in above his knees and slicing through his legs as Malvoes reconnects his third string to Mantis.

Being so far out it wasn't hard to notice Goon making his way to Malvoes, Malvoes would slide Hysterio's blade into the right side of his belt, making sure not to impale or cut himself, to free up his right hand. Malvoes adjusts his swarm, causing it to swirl around his waist and lower body. He'd keep his nerves wary and eyes on both of his opponents.

As Mitako's sword cut through the first string that connected Malvoes to his puppet, he continued to swing the sword as fast as possible in a downward arc, connecting (hopefully) his blade to the other two strings that allowed him to be controlled. Considering that the other two were right below the first, this would be almost instantaneous, causing the puppet to clatter to the ground. Just in case Mitako didn't know how puppets worked, he side stepped again crossing the platform in one step, moving through where the strings would have been. This would leave Mitako in a decent spot to rest and watch the other two fight. 

(considering that mantis had already moved passed him, he'd be moving behind mantits across to the other side of the platform.)

Goon watched as the puppeteer moved the sword he had to the right side of him. Goon was now able to back at his full speed, closing the distance in between the two of them shouldn't take much longer. The puppet was fighting with sandy the outcome of that to Goon was unknown. It was not the fact that Hatter, was not paying attention, for he was it was more that he was watching for sudden movements in his direction. Anyways Goon would be at the puppeteer within seconds, ready to fight some more and see if the puppeteer could handle himself, without the help of the puppet he was in control of.

As Mitako's right foot lifted from the platform to side step passed the puppet, his brown iris were overtaken entirely by pupil, the hairs on the back of his neck stood on end, and he felt a small chill go down his spine. The puppet hadn't clattered to the ground as the young swordsman had anticipated, but instead it was continuing its path. With his sword already in his right hand from the attempt to cut the strings, his survival instincts kicked in immediately. As the blades of the puppet had just began moving, Mitako's chakra surged through his sword as he aimed to deflect the puppet's blades. Entirely reflex at this point, his right arm jerked towards the right in a full speed slash at the puppet's own weapons. The blades of the puppet appeared to be close enough that his sword would hit both of them. Right before all three blades collided with one another, Mitako's sparked a bright blue, surging with lightning chakra that would enhance the blade far behind it's normal capabilities. Then, the blades would touch, and it would prove that the puppet's materials weren't very durable, as Mitako's cheap blade went clean through the blade of the puppet, leaving two sharpened pieces of metal descending to the ground. Given that the puppet was also swinging at the same speed as Mitako, it would be rather difficult for the puppet to redirect its attacks in time.

With his heart pounding from the rush of a near death experience, he didn't stop there. As soon as his sword cut through the blades of the puppet, which was almost instantly, Mitako's hand shifted, angling the sharp end of the blade towards the puppet's center. He swung towards the puppets "neck," in a diagonal swipe, again at full speed, which if it connected, would have sliced clean through the puppet, destroying it, and thus preventing it from further use. He would simultaneously place his foot where he had intended to when he first began to sidestep, on the corner of the pillar.

If, and only if his attack had succeeded, he would kick the puppet's remains off of the pillar before calming back down. He would then recenter himself on the pillar, standing right in the middle, watching as the two other contestants fought it out. In the back of his mind, he remembered that he needed to get to the rest of his sand, and Hysterio, so that he couldn't escape the hold he held over the chuunin. As his mind calmed, he deactivated the chakra coursing to his blade.

Unfortunately, Mitako was too weak to fight, let alone use the sand to prevent the chuunin from attacking. So, he stayed atop his pillar, and tried to regain his strength for the final time. If forced to do anymore, he might actually pass out before his opponents could finish him.

As soon as his puppet blades broke Malvoes knew he needed to act fast, as soon as the second blade was cut Mantis dashed forward, his torso colliding with Mitako's arm at full speed(50), and avoiding his blade forcing it towards his own body and causing some damage to him before he could redirect his blade. Closing the short distance quickly, Mantis would lean forward, in the instance of a few seconds his mandibles would swing out slightly and then quickly closing in, with increased strength (77), the points sinking into the base of his neck, severely injuring him. As he did this Malvoes would be making his way towards Mitako at half speed(9).

The insect tornado swarmed over goon, draining his chakra and damaging him slightly and lifting him up in the air, as the cyclone disappeared, the swarm(120) returning to him and swirling around his lower torso, and Goon crumples to the ground, unconscious from the immense chakra drain.
