Architecture and Adoration (Xyxer/Atlas)

Malvoes with his usual outfit and gear and his sketchbook in hand decide to take a stroll to the Mizukage Monument, ever since the blood games Malvoes has toyed with the design in his head, wanting to inspect it better he's decided to head there today. The fog was thin today so it'll be easy to make out the details of the work and it also let in more of that Shima sun that's so rare these days. 

Arriving at the base of the monument he circles it slowly, stopping here and there to make a note in his book, which would range from criticism to possible design changes. Unfortunately he was not familiar with the visage of the Mizukage, being a previous inhabitant of Shimagakure he has been slightly unwilling to make acquaintance with the Kage, the only time Malvoes has seen him in person is after the blood games, he wasn't quite what was expected but still he had an aura of power and intimidation about him, unfortunately for Malvoes, growing up as he did, such people hardly left waves in his constitution, at least his demeanor wouldn't change he'd make note of such people internally. He continues his work, sketching out the Monument and making changes as he sees fit, and making a list of possible alternate materials.

It is said that if you stare into the abyss long enough, the abyss eventually stares right into you. Was it for this reason, perhaps, that the boy Malvoes was staring at the statue of a demon? Did he wish to analyse the demon, and in turn, for the demon to analyse himself? Naturally, the statue could not do that, but considering the prolonged amount of time he had spent at the monument to evaluate it's construction, he must have expected some form of interest to be arose in the Mizukage himself. Silently, a figure approached him from behind in the distance as he analysed the front of the statue, naturally, after a few hours of him being there. A large cloak of midnight black flowed around from the bottom of his nose to the middle of his shins, clouds of crimson seemingly drifting across it when following his movements. Underneath those clothes, he wore baggy SHINOBI pants with a black tee shirt on his torso. Simple clothing for now. There were slight twinges in his upper arm's colour, as well as his gut, perhaps that was why the cloak was adorned for now. Once he had reached him, he'd open up the conversation with a simple greeting, "Hello, Malvoes." Naturally, he was probably noticed way before coming due to his overwhelming chakra presence, combined with the fact Samehada was slung over his shoulders.

Absorbed in his designs, muttering random materials and terms Malvoes was oblivious of the world around him when the individual in black approached. As the stranger speaking snapped Malvoes out of his stupor, he quickly looked behind him and upon realization of who it was, he would drop down to one knee, "Lord Mizukage, Hello." He would glance up and wait for Xyxer to give an indication that he could stand and once he does, Malvoes would proceed to get off the ground. "What brings you out on such a fine day?" Malvoes would inquire, taking a few quick glances between the statue, his notebook and Xyxer, doing calculations and design comparisons in his mind.

Watching the boy drop down to his knee, he was grateful that someone who was not oblivious to their customs had won the tournament. Or maybe all of the broken kneecaps had finally paid their toll. Waving one hand up from outside of his cloak, he turned his gaze from the boy towards the statue that towered before them, loosely answering his question, "Word spread to me that the victor of the Blood Games returned to the spot where he spilled his blood." He looked down for a moment to note his notepad, with various markings he did not care too much for. Returning his gaze to the state he spoke once more, "And for what purpose he stayed for so long intrigued me. So tell me, Malvoes, why do you remain at this statue? Is it because of the devilish good looks of the stone?"

"Well, Lord Xyxer, the reason I returned here is a simple one, not to admire it, honestly I'm critiquing it." He takes a moment to adjust his bandanna around his neck. "I'm sure you're unaware but after the blood games was the first time I had laid eyes upon the monument and I was unable to accurately analyze it." He moves to the side slightly so he could see Xyxer and the statue. "As a crafter myself I have some familiarity with workmanship, and honestly this one is rather crude, the plain stone and iron is not befitting the glory that is the likeness it depicts, and the features, though devilishly handsome, are roughly brought out of the stone." He continues to carefully choose his words yet give his opinion. "So, I've been out here, with my notebook, playing with the design, changing accents, stones, metals, and removing the flaws, the few that are with the statue." As he says this he makes small gestures to parts of his notebook.

Xyxer remained stationary as the boy spoke, finally turning his eyes down towards him. His mouth covered hid the emotion he felt, but his eyebrows were lifted in the same manner as when a person smirked. He spoke slowly, "Are you telling me that the workers I paid for did not know more than a Chuunin of my village in their life long career?" The very idea amused him greatly. The boy was not even that old, yet he was still so confident about what he spoke. Looking down at his notes for a small amount of time, he then gazed back up at the magnificent statue, "Everything raised in Tengakure does tend to be rather disappointing, including the workers. Go on then, Champion, how would you improved it?" He inquired curiously, looking back down towards him.

"No insult meant towards those architects, I'm sure they did their best," He smirks, "I'm just better." He cleared his throat a bit, so he could clearly relay his though process to Xyxer, especially since the Mizukage was giving him such an honor. "Well, first off, I'd simply change up the design, it's towering and menacing but it doesn't speak power, nobility. I think a stance with you brandishing your sword-" he gestures to the large blade Xyxer has on his back," the tip of it downward to the base of the statue, and your gaze outward to the coast, such a stance gives and image of power, of strength, yet a respectable form, telling others that you do not carelessly destroy, you wield this power in the name of your village, in protection of it and will use it against the your enemy, whoever they be, with no mercy." Passion in his voice as he speaks, Malvoes continues. "As for materials I've been considering a base of onyx, using accents of silver to highlight your features and clothing design, and since your blade is often wrapped, polished marble etched to look as such." He returns his gaze to Xyxer, "To me, that is a statue fitting the strength of someone like you, Lord Mizukage."

A few thoughts raced through his mind, should he execute the man in lead of the statue, since while it was good, it was not great? Pausing for a few seconds, Atlas shook his head momentarily, deciding that his job had been well done on his behalf. "Very well. I'll give you temporary leadership over his workers and you can remodel it. I wish for it to be done within a day, or you'll find yourself in a situation you will find most.." He paused for a few seconds, "Unwanted."

"That is a most gracious decision, but a day is unreasonable for a work of this caliber, unless I'm given a workforce specialized in jutsu that can either create or change materials and sculpt it seamlessly." He adjusts himself slightly, a mix of nervousness and excitement stirring inside him. "The work itself, could be completed in a day, given a competent workforce in size and skill, but the materials I'd need and the metal designs would need to be gathered and prepared beforehand which may take some time, but considering our trade network, not too long."

Shrugging his shoulders faintly, he looked at it once more, "I am unaware of the attributes of the construction team he led. Perhaps they are shinobi, perhaps otherwise. The materials you'll need will most likely be in one of his warehouses, he was rewarded handsomely for this construction.." He paused and grinned, "Naturally, you get the reward of being able to correct him. Is that all you came out here for?"
