128 Vacuum Palms Revolving Around Heaven![p]
Mon May 02, 2016 1:08 am
Sakaiza desired to head to the desert today for one reason and one reason only: he wanted to make an attempt at the techniques he had recently discovered. Back at his home in the village, Sakaiza and his mother recently had an extended conversation regarding the Hyuuga Clan and Sakaiza's family. She had explained that because of their lack of financial security in Konohagakure, the main branch seemed to look down upon Sakaiza's family. They were often ridiculed and humiliated by the others, thus Sakaiza's family made a request to leave. Without betraying the main branch, the family remained in good standing and was thus able to leave the village without being tracked. Sakaiza's father, Avon, was one of the more skilled Hyuuga from the clan. He actually was one of the instructors of gentle fist techniques, including the ones that Sakaiza had most recently learned from Togirama and his mother, Sakashi.
However, Avon had also been quite skilled in the advanced techniques of the Gentle Fist style. Upon demonstrating his new technique, 8 Trigrams: 64 Palms, to his mother, she realized the resemblance that his attack held with one she had seen Avon do several times. The technique of note was the more advanced version of the 64 palms, which was thus named 8 Trigrams: 124 palms and for good reason. On top of this technique, Sakashi also recalled that Avon had another technique similar to this one, yet it was more a defense than an attack. Finally, the last gentle fist technique that Sakashi informed Sakaiza on was Avon's vacuum palm, which always seemed to deal nearly fatal blows whenever Avon would strike in critical areas. Upon Sakashi's revelation of this information to Sakaiza, Sakaiza grew eager. He begged his mother to instruct him on how to use these techniques. But she did not know how to use the techniques herself, therefore she provided Sakaiza with the next best thing. She broke out a scroll and a quill and began to write a written account of the moves that Avon executed in the fullest of detail. She noted his footing, his hand positions, the speed at which each move was done with, the way his body flowed and the chakra exercise that he did before mastering a new technique. She documented all of this information in one scroll, denoting differences in each technique by a roman numeral heading off the techniques.
Sakaiza took the scroll quite excitedly and knew what he would have to do. He could not simply go to the training grounds and expect himself to be able to focus there with all of his recent experiences at the training grounds, therefore he would go to the same place where he taught himself how to use multiple wind release techniques. Thus, he grabbed the scroll his mother gave him, kissed her goodbye and set out to exit the village. Shortly after leaving out his home, he turned right back around to grab a water canteen from his mother. "It's really hot today, I think I might need this more than you" he let out with a chuckle then walked out once more.
As he began his walk from his home to the village gates, he once again began to day dream. So much so that he didn't even realize that he had been walking, but instead it was more of his body taking over. He began to fantasize about what it would be like to release such an enormous amount of power from the jutsu that his mother told him about. He could see it all unfolding in his head as he began to internally paint a picture of it:
~Standing and facing an enemy of extreme stature and physical prowess, Sakaiza hung his head head. Not in shame, but in humility. He knew that his enemy stood no chance against his superior Gentle Fist techniques, but his enemy did not know that. "I'll give you one chance to walk away," he would say. But the enemy would not walk away, instead he would charge Sakaiza. And that's when the relentless assault would begin. Sakaiza would immediately begin his basic 64 palm technique, dealing 2 then 4 then 8 then 16 then 32 then 64 strikes upon the enemy. But that wasn't it, next would come 64 more strikes all upon the tenketsu of his foe. But it still wouldn't be finished yet, for now would come the true blow to the opponent. He would unleash his vacuum palm as soon as his 128 strikes were dealt, obliterating the enemy where he stood. Then Sakaiza would stand victorious, letting out a hearty laugh while drinking a glass of milk.~
"Yeah I can just see it now...I wouldn't even really need the defensive palm technique, because my enemies wouldn't even get a chance to hit me!" he said to himself while continuing his walk and day dream. Just as he would, he realized that he had been walking and wondering what it would be like to have all these jutsu's underneath his belt for so long that he had already found his way to the desert. The desert, where he had come several times to train in the past. His first time had been when he received a mission to capture a two-tailed scorpion and return it to Evander. The latest being when he had ventured out to teach himself the wind release jutsu's that his parents had kept secret from him for many years. The desert. It all felt like a home to him. The wind kicking up sand that would scratch his face, the hazardous wildlife that Sakaiza would always pick fights with to try out his new jutsu's on and the beaming sun which took no prisoners until the night fell. Yes, Sakaiza felt as if the desert was a home away from home for him.
Nevertheless he continued walking until he was in the same spot that he came to last time. He looked upon the area and took note of the similarities from last time. The only reason why he could even remember this place's spatial location was due to the cactus that he cut in half through the use of his air bullets. Upon seeing this cactus, a smile grew upon his face, stemming from his satisfaction with the progress that he's made and the goals that he sets for himself. As the sun bore down upon his flesh, Sakaiza began to grow increasingly hot. He sat down in his place and wiped his brow, taking a minute to give his body a slight rest after the long walk. Bringing his head up and facing the sky, a cool breeze blew past him that alleviated the temperature burden imposed on him by this sunny day. Sakaiza reached both arms behind his head and grabbed a hold of the cloth making up his shirt. He pulled the grasped cloth with his fingers, forcing his shirt to begin to roll up until he could securely grab the bottom of his shirt. He then gave it a firm tug while unbending his arms, forcing his shirt to roll up until his head popped out of the neck hole. He then pulled his left arm back, freeing it from the sleeve and pulled the right back, also removing it from the sleeve. This entire process was repeated for the undershirt that he had beneath the external white shirt which bore the brand of the Hyuuga clan. Still sitting, he folded his shirts and picked up a large, nearby rock and placed it upon them to ensure that they would not be carried off by the intense wind. Next came his sandals, which he just slid right off and half buried them in the sand besides his upper body ware.
While still sitting, he removed the scroll that his mother gave to him from his shirt which laid next to him. He grabbed several medium sized rocks from around him and placed them to his right, while unrolling the scroll in front of him. He only unrolled the scroll until the first entry regarding the first technique he would learn was revealed. Before reading the entry, he placed the multiple rocks alongside him upon the tops and bottom of the scroll in order to keep it open and in place, resistant from the effects of the harsh wind. Then he began to read his mother's description of the technique she had seen Avon unleash on multiple occasions:
"Eight Trigrams: One Hundred Twenty Eight Palms
Through the employment of basic Gentle Fist techniques such as the Tenketsu Needle the user is able to unleash the first stage of this technique. The first stage is called, 'Eight Trigrams: Sixty Four Palms'. It consists of targeting 64 tenketsu along the opponent's body, striking quickly and consecutively to block off chakra flow throughout their body and give the user an extreme advantage over their stunned opponent. However, the technique written about here is the second stage. Through similar concepts, increased chakra concentration and advanced speed, the user targets 124 tenketsu along the opponent's body, strikes each and can completely shut down the chakra network of a foe. But this technique is dangerous enough to the point of causing irreversible damage if not done with moderation and can even be fatal in some cases."
Sakaiza, reading through the scroll, naturally skipped past the sixty four palms portion of the scroll, for he already felt adequately advanced in the technique. The only thing he wanted to know was how to do the next technique. Upon finishing the scroll, he thought to himself about the severity of learning these jutsus. If the first one he read was deemed as fatal in some situations, he could only imagine what disclaimers the other two would have. It made him start to think, "Irreversible damage? Fatal?....Oh man, I shouldn't use this technique unless it's absolutely necessary..." he reflected for several minutes. "But knowing me, I'm probably going to use it the next chance I get...Maybe it's just something that I should keep in the back of my mind while using it." He continued to debate the use and reasoning of this jutsu for several minutes before rising to his feet to stretch out his limbs, as his mother recommend he does before his attempt at the techniques.
He reached his hands high and to the sky and held them there for several seconds while maintaining a constant breath. After around 30 seconds passed, he began lowering his hands down from the sky to his toes. As his hands moved lower, he bent over in the process, causing his cheeks to be out. He thought to himself and was glad that no one was around him in the desert to witness the magnificence of his cheeks bent over. Fingertips upon his toes, he held that stretch for the same duration as the first. Now having stood for at least a minute, Sakaiza's feet were beginning to feel the immense heat from the cooking sand which he stood atop. However, he would not be distracted by this small pain to him, for his feet would grow used to it just as they always did. Without breaking his focus, he bent his knees, leaned back and brought his hands back up and to the front of him. He held this squatting position for several seconds before moving on to the next stretch. He would continue to stretch each muscle and joint making up his body to make sure that he was loose and limber before attempting to exert, retain and focus higher levels of chakra than what any of his other jutsus demanded from him.
Now Sakaiza was ready to try his first attempt of the 128 palms jutsu. He figured the best course of action with this technique would be to try to just use it neatly, then conduct it on a target and next on a moving target. He assumed his gentle fist stance: knees bent, eyes forward, left arm low and forward, right arm high and behind, left leg forward and right firmly placed behind him. He seemed so used to this stance at this point that he could literally shift into this stance from his resting body position in one movement. However, today was not about raw speed. It was about learning and chakra maintenance. Therefore, he moved into his gentle stance is one graceful and fluid motion. He closed his eyes and began to mentally search through his body, making sure he could feel his entire chakra network was actively and even distributed.
When his eyes would open, they would now be purely white. It seemed as if as his Byakugan progressed and was used more often, his eyes began to shift from the natural light purple tone that they had from his bloodline activation. Now they were white and full, like the clouds that Sakaiza would always catch himself mesmerized by. However his pupils were now also different. They were outlined by vertical, black, tiny dashes that formed the outline of his pupil. They were probably representative of the strain imposed on his eyes by his Byakugan, however having used it so much, Sakaiza no longer felt the initial pain that came to his eyes upon use. It was no longer a slight burden, but instead a unified blessing.
Going about his plan, Sakaiza was ready to try to use the advanced sixty four palms technique. He called out loudly in the desert, "8 Trigrams: One Hundred Twenty Eight Palms!" thus beginning his attempt. He struck at the air shoulder level in front of him two times initially which was led off with, "Two palms!" Next came two more strikes, "Four Palms!" Now he released four more strikes which began to work outside of what would be the torso's upper tenketsu, which was what would be the arms of an opponent. "Eight Palms" he cried out accordingly. "Sixteen palms!" he exclaimed while dividing his next eight strikes equally among the left and right areas of the air in front of him which would correspond to the left and right arms of an enemy. "Thirty two palms!" he let out while taking a slight step forward, refocusing his strike to move back in towards the would be torso, more specifically along the abdominal area. Finally he took a large step forward and began to move exceptionally quicker than what his body was just moving at. "Sixty four palms!" as he distributed the next thirty two strikes among the tenketsu of the imaginary body that Sakaiza visualized simply for training purposes.
"This is it, this is when I prove myself!"
Just as that thought left his mind, he cried out with all the strength he had in his body, "One hundred twenty eight palms!" Sakaiza had never pushed his body to this limit before. It got to the point where he was moving so fast and the blows to the air that he was dealing were so fast that he thought that he would dislocate his arm or hyperextend a limb. Realizing that extended worrying about things going incorrectly would more than likely result in him messing up. Therefore, he just continued to fuel his chakra with all of the concentration and belief that he had instilled within him. Instead of looking at his last series of attacks as one whole set of moves, he focused on each. They were an extension of the original attacks that he just executed, just much quicker and with different targets than initially. He counted each strike as his body moved, and with his increased focus he felt as if he could see himself moving slower and much more clearly. However, he was not moving slower, his eyes were just moving faster and his brain was processing his movements much swifter. "Sixty five, sixty six, sixty seven.....seventy...eighty...ninety.." he counted as he increasingly moved quicker and felt the chakra literally exploding from his fingertips. "Ninety one....ninety two...one hundred....one hundred ten...one hundred twenty..." he continued to count each blow in his mind as he neared the end. His palms flew through the air, seeming to cut the wind in front of him in rhythmic fashions. The sand around him began to kick up with each swing of his arm. "One hundred twenty one...one hundred twenty two...one hundred twenty three....one hundred twenty four..." he counted as his hands soared through the air in front of him. These final strikes seemed to target some of the last tenketsu points that had not been pinpointed yet, along points of what would be major arteries if he were facing a human opponent. "One hundred twenty five....one hundred twenty six...one hundred twenty seven.." now nearing the end, the only remaining tenketsu left were ones that Sakaiza was well aware would deal fatal damage to an opponent. "One hundred twenty eight!" he exclaimed with all his might as his last strike would land directly upon the tenketsu nearest to what would be his target's heart. With this final blow, Sakaiza realized that upon hitting 123 tenketsu prior to this final one, there was only one reasonable tenketsu point remaining open for an easily accessible attack. That tenketsu point was the heart's.
Breathing extremely heavily, Sakaiza knew he just completed the technique. He was drenched in sweat, sun bearing down on him, blood pumping with adrenaline. His arms felt increasingly heavy, drooping in front of him. He could literally feel his heartbeat racing in his temples. His eyes shifted from the area in front of him which he was just targeting to the ground, back to the air and then to the sky. His vision felt slight impaired. "I did it...But my body was pushed to its limits. I think I'm..." he began to speak while feeling the extreme fatigue after this technique. "I think I'm going to pass..." he let out, struggling to remain conscious. "No!" he exclaimed, refusing to give in to the physical exhaustion he was experiencing. After that massive exertion of energy, it was perfection reasonable for him to want to rest; but Sakaiza was not perfectly reasonable. He would battle this exhaustion but keeping his eyes moving, his breathing constant and his mind thinking.
"I will not give in. I told myself I would train all day and....and that's what I'm going to do!"
He slowly took several steps towards his clothes and removed the water canteen from his weapons pouch. He guzzled down a third of the bottle in what seemed like one gulp and took a huge breath of air. In order for him to continue training, he would have to take a moment to regather his energy. Standing there, letting the water take its course on his exhausted body, Sakaiza thought to himself. "So I really did it, huh? Now that only leaves two more jutsu for me to learn today. But if all of them are this physically demanding, I'm going to be absolutely beat by the end of the day..." he thought to himself. As several minutes passed, he felt his breathing falling under control again, taking constant and full inhales and exhales. His heart rate began to restore to a healthy, resting pace and he started to feel overall more conscious in general. The whole time, Sakaiza refused to deactivate his Byakugan as well. If he were to survive in battle and complete higher ranked missions, he would need to be able to endure, survive and dish it all out to his enemies. Today seemed to not only be about technique training, but also about endurance training. He would be a better shinobi by the end of the day, so long as he didn't die from a heat stroke before.
Sakaiza dropped the water canteen back down by the large rock that held his clothes in place, ensured that his scroll did not move then continued with some light stretches to make sure his muscles were not too tense from the strenuous technique he just attempted. Once he would finished, his eyes gazed upon the desert, simultaneously looking at it through his 359 degree vision. He was searching the dunes for an enemy or multiple enemies to attack that he knew would be able to withstand 128 vigorous strikes to their bodies. He glanced over the scorpions, knowing that they might be too low to the ground for him to complete these successive strikes without breaking form. Next he eyed past the giant ants, for a similar reason and their bodies were too squishy. Finally, his eyes fell upon what appeared to be a small swarm of large desert wasps. "Well...I hate wasps, so I might as well just kill 128 of them." he reasoned while starting to head over to them. He then froze in place, remembering how dangerous desert wasps were from his academy days. "When angered, the desert wasps calls for the rest of its nearby colony and they all attack as a swarm with their stingers. These stingers contain a poison which if enough is induced into the human body, can be deadly." he recalled the passage in his book regarding desert wildlife. His face drooped knowing that he could potentially get himself killed all just to attempt a technique. He was disappointed, for he felt that every time he discovered a potential way of training, his better judgement kicked in and made him analyze the risk. So part of Sakaiza wanted to just run into the swarm, guns blazing and take them all out, but the other part of Sakaiza did not want to die today. Taking a minute to weigh the outcomes, he turned around and walked back to his scroll. Now the only thing within his field of sight was a field of what looked to be 128 cacti. "Hmmm, that could easily work. And from the looks of the cacti, they aren't poisonous. That could definitely work!" he let out, quite relieved.
Thus he walked over to the slightly nearby cacti field and stood in the center of it. He began a slow breathing exercise, closing his eyes to make sure that he would be physically up to what he was about to demand from his body. He once again assured himself that each tenketsu along his body have an equal distribution of chakra among them, thus guaranteeing fluidity in his motions. He took three deep breaths before opening his eyes. Now his eyes would study all off the cacti around them, their spatial locations relative to his current, the size of each and most importantly how many of them they were. Sakaiza knew that his move consisted of 128 consecutive strikes, so at the absolute minimum he would need to have at least 64 cacti around him so that he could deliver at least two strikes to each. That was assuming that his first strike to each would not destroy it, which was a fair assumption considering that he did not know the durability of each cacti and he did not know how strong his attacks would be to each. Counting each cacti within a 10 meter radius of him, there seemed to be an overabundance in this area, around 130 cacti. However, this was more than enough for Sakaiza, and so he would begin. Dropping down to his gentle fist stance, he called out, "8 Trigrams: One Hundred Twenty Eight Palms!"
He unleashed this technique in a similar fashion to how he originally did against in the air, in quick, precise and controlled blows. With each, increasing double of blows he would call out the amount of strikes he was releasing, much like how he had done earlier against the air. But only this time, Sakaiza could feel the extent of the chakra coursing through his veins and being released upon these cacti. One by one they fell, with even the largest cacti only being able to withstand 4 strikes before being split. As Sakaiza reached the 64th palm, he lunged forward to a larger group of cacti. Now he was on the final set of blows, the last 64 strikes, the 128th group. He burst with energy as his palms pinpointed and connected with each cacti at resounding speeds, completely desolating whatever cacti was his target. As he completed the 128th strike, he felt much more alive than he had upon his initial attempt at the technique. He was not breathing heavily, his body did not feel an enormous strain upon it, although he still felt a vast amount of adrenaline, excitement and satisfaction from his successful jutsu.

Heyo. This seems fine to me, so approved.
Instead of editing the original however, just continue to post in this topic with a new post each time.
(By the way, you're at 4,130 words, not 4,112. Thought I'd mention that.)

Re: 128 Vacuum Palms Revolving Around Heaven![p]

As he stood in place he looked upon all the fallen cacti that gave their lives to make Sakaiza the shinobi he is today. "I am gathered here today to commemorate the lives of these fallen soldiers. Meek, weak yet resilient soldiers. Not once did they back down from the furious palms of Sakaiza, nay. Not once did they screen in pain, nay. Not once did they even beg for mercy, nay. No no no...these soldiers were proud ones...they were cacti." he mourned while immediately following this with uncontrollable laughter. Sakaiza was laughing at his own jokes. Maybe the sun really was getting to him. Nevertheless he was in a much lighter mood following his second attempt in comparison to the first. After he got himself together after his fit of extreme silliness, he turned in place and began walking back towards his scroll. By this time, the soles of his feet were already adjusted and the sting of the burning sand no longer phased him, he was too focused on the events of the day. When he would make it to the scroll he sat down upon the ground, unrolled the next portion of the scroll and aligned it with the medium sized rocks that he set aside earlier for this very purpose. He then began to read this passage:
"Eight Trigrams: Palms Revolving Around Heaven
A primarily defensive art of the eight trigrams techniques. Through the understanding and control of the chakra network, the user releases chakra from each tenketsu along his or her body. Once the chakra is being exerted, the user rotates his or her body in place, clockwise. By combining swift rotation with the release of chakra, a protective semi-sphere is generated consisting of a dense layer of moving chakra. As a result, attackers and anyone nearby the semi-sphere are repelled and knocked away."
Upon reading this, Sakiaza was confused. He was not sure how he was supposed to release chakra from his body. "I feel like I've only ever released chakra from my hands...." he thought to himself recalling the numerous instances when he released chakra from his hands: learning the tenketsu needle, palm bottom, 64 palms and even just recently when he learned the 128 palms. However, he had never released chakra from the tenketsu along his body. He looked at each instance and deciphered the finite details of how he released chakra from his hands. Each time, he began with harnessing chakra to his palms. Following this, he would throw his hands forward as a strike and the chakra would simply release itself. As a result, his attacks were chakra based. Then it came to him, "Wait, each time I've released chakra from my palms, it's because they were swinging forward. I added a force, the striking motion, to the swelling of chakra at the tenketsu along my hands and that's how I released chakra from them." he said with confidence. Taking this idea, he reflected on it a bit further, trying to analyze this process to his entire body as a whole to release chakra from each tenketsu point. "Maybe as I distribute and focus the chakra evenly throughout all 361 tenketsu, I can flex my entire body and that might serve as the driving force to expel that chakra! Yeah that's gotta be out!" he hypothesized with increasing excitement in his voice as if he had just discovered how to achieve immortality. "Well!" he let out, "it's time to give it a try!"
He placed one hand on the sand besides him and lifted his right leg so it was now resting on his foot. He then pushed off on that foot to bring the rest of his body to a stand as he removed his grasp on the sand, which only served as a pivot to help him stand. Bringing himself up to his feet, his head swung in the process, indicating that Sakaiza was lightheaded. This was the result of a number of factors: the hot son beating down upon him, the amount of energy Sakaiza had been exerting all day, a lack of an ample amount of food in his stomach or even just him being excessively tired. So once his head slightly swung, his vision become slightly impaired as a result. As some would call it, his vision went fuzzy. However, Sakaiza was not worried, instead he simply closed his eyes and maintained his breathing. He focused on the sound of his breath and counted each series on inhaling and exhaling that he made in a minute time. 25 slightly higher than average, but nothing too out of the normal. Therefore, Sakaiza brushed aside this and continued as if nothing were wrong. When his eyes opened, his vision was restored and all was well. However, he still felt as if he wasn't at his 100% so he grabbed the water from his pouch and took another sip, now leaving it filled to the halfway point. He stretched once more, jogged in place a bit until he finally felt as if his body was awake. "Yeah I feel better now. I probably just stood up too quickly and didn't give my limbs enough time to adjust." he reasoned with himself.
Regardless, he brushed off the recent happening, thinking of it as nothing more than his body letting him know he was tired. Instead he continued on, focusing on his chakra network. He made it a point to take note of where each of his tenketsu points along his body were, recalling there exact locations from the many times his mother explained it to him. Thus, he distributed his chakra bank evenly throughout his body and concentrated on maintaining this distribution for an extended period of time. If this technique was a defensive one, that it's success would depend on the upkeep of a steady chakra control. He would stay in this meditation position for minutes, ensuring that he could successfully keep his control and keep his chakra situated the way that he organized it to be. As he held this position, he lightly touched bases on what would be his next move, "Well after I can confirm that I can maintain my chakra, I will need to expel that chaka from my body and rotate in one quick motion, and keep that rotation consistently going. Then, theoretically, the semi spherical shield should be generated." As he completed this thought, he decided that he had been holding his current position for quite some time and he was ready to move on to the next step of the jutsu. Now with his chakra completely balanced through his body, he flex his entire body and began rotating. He rotated by simply spinning in place, using his left foot as a pivot while his right pushed off the ground. As he continued to push off the ground with his right he began to pick up more and more speed. As a result, a small semi sphere began to form around him, encompassing nothing else except the volume of his body. However with the increasing speed that he began to force, the shield grew larger and larger. While it was larger, the chakra became more visible and was now evidently protective. But this shield would be no greater than a meter in diameter.
"This isn't big enough!" he yelled in extreme dissatisfaction as he began to propel his body to move even faster by pushing it beyond its limits. The speed at which his foot was kicking off the ground was now at a third of his full running speed and the shield grew even bigger as a result. It now was around 1.5 meters in diameter, still only being .75 meters in radius. With the desire of making his semi sphere at least 2 meters in radius, Sakaiza was still not satisfied. Therefore, he pushed his body even further, forcing his foot to be kicking off from the ground at a spear comparative to half of his top running speed. The shield, as expected, also grew larger now a full meter in radius. Also it began to grow in height, being less elliptical and more spherical. The extents of the sphere were really becoming more and more definite as Sakaiza moved faster and faster. However speed was not everything, as Sakaiza quickly noticed once his foot began to be kicking off the ground at a speed equal to his maximum running speed. The sphere would only grow to about 1.5 meters in radius in all directions from him now. Although this sphere had the definition of an appropriate shield, Sakaiza recognized that not only was it not large enough but it also lacked a thick enough chakra layer to successfully shield him from incoming damage. That's what made it click to him, "This whole time I've only been focusing on increasing the size, I haven't even considered how thick it is! That's got to be it. It's not reached it's full size because it gains that extra half meter in radius from the thickness of the chakra. That means that I'm not concentrating on my chakra control hard enough and I'm too worried about speed, but I've got to keep this speed up still..." he thought while continuing to maintain the size of the shell by continuously spinning quickly in place.
It was all too clear now to Sakaiza what he had to do. He would had to refocus his attention to his chakra network and ensure that all of his chakra reserves were distributed and not just the majority. While still spinning in place, he closed his eyes and searched throughout his chakra network for the answers. While he did so, the shield became slightly small, dropping down to 1.25 meters in radius due to Sakaiza's lack of attention being paid to it. But it was a necessary sacrifice if he were to successfully use this technique the way that the Hyuuga clan intended for it to be used. As he searched throughout his body, he noticed an unusual concentration of chakra in his pivoted leg. This was more than likely to prevent himself from falling and losing balance, but this was also the reason why he could not yield a shield large enough to meet the appropriate standards. Thus he summoned all his remaining willpower to remove that excess chakra from his legs and put evenly throughout the rest of the body. While continuing to tend to the speed aspect of the shield, it now almost instantly shot to it's maximum and appropriate size of 2 meters. Sakaiza had done it, he had successfully created a thick shelled semi-sphere capable of warding off incoming attacks. As the shield was spinning quickly, sand had been picked up and was formulating around the barriers of the shield. So when Sakaiza ceased to rotate, all of that sand around him had fallen to the ground as a result. Although his body stopped spinning and the chakra shield dissipated in turn, his head was still spinning. He remembered spinning around as fast as he could as a child until he fell down and got really dizzy; yeah it was just like that.
He fell to his bottom and smiled, knowing that he had successfully overcame yet another obstacle obstructing him from his path of success as a powerful Hyuuga and a shinobi. "Oh man I wish mom and pop could have seen that, there's no telling that they would have been proud." he said to himself as he began to not be as dizzy as what he was.

As he had allowed himself to drop down to his cheeks, he took a moment to think about his father. "Pops...I know if you could see the progress I've made since your passing, you would be so proud of me. I've been setting down the road of becoming a powerful shinobi and nothing will get in way. I'll master the art of the gentle fist, I'll master the wind release techniques and I'll even ensure that my team completes every mission that we set out on...Just you watch up there and see..." Sakaiza slightly emotional, as the jutsu that he was teaching himself today was only possible through his father. It just seemed like everything that Sakaiza had been doing, was already done by his father at some point. But he swore to surpass his father. As much as he idolized the man, Sakaiza would never settle for being just like him. No. He wanted to be better, stronger, faster, smarter and many more adjectives ending in -er. The only thing he wished was that his father had not been taken from him so soon. Holding back tears, he wiped his slightly moist eyes, let his head fall back and placed his hands firmly on the ground besides him. His attention now focused directly on the sky, he continued to think,"I wonder what all you would have been able to teach me if you were alive. I'm just learning so much from you now even as you're dead so I can't imagine what you would want to show me if you were here in this miserable desert with me." As he continued to thing, he exhaled a large sigh and quickly removed his arms from behind him, causing his entire upper body to drop down into the sand. He cared not for the sand that would end up in his hair as a result, because the only thing he cared about at this very moment in time was temporarily relaxing. He stretched his legs out, crossing one foot over the other and continued to watch the sky. Before he would begin his learning of the next technique, he would need to allow his body to recuperate or else he would face serious injury. Focusing on the sky, he noted that the sun was no longer directly above him, only now it was casting it's light at an angle from Sakaiza. It seemed as if it were beginning to set, and Sakaiza was more than fine with that. To be quite frank, at this point he was absolutely fed up on having to train in the beaming hot sun, so knowing that the sun would be retiring for the evening soon brought a smile to Sakaiza's face. That same smile morphed into a disappointed facial droop as he realized that the sun going down soon would mean that he would need to finish his training and immediately. When the sun went down, it was quite more dangerous, especially in the Demon Desert.
Realizing this, he did not jump to move. Instead, he remained staring at the remaining clouds in the sky, which seemed to just so elegantly glide past the Demon Desert without even as much as batting as eye. Deep down, Sakaiza just wanted the cloud to break and release a copious amount of rain, however his hopes weren't always granted. Instead, he just continued to watch the clouds scroll by. He let out a sigh of relief, realizing that his body was significantly more exhausted than what he thought it was. Without moving the rest of his body he threw one of his arms in the direction of his clothes pile, reaching out for his water canteen. When he would finally grab a hold of it he brought it up, unscrewed the cap and opened his mouth. Just as he did, a slight breeze picked up sending nothing but sand into his mouth. He quickly leaned up, coughing and spitting up the sand that made his way to his tongue. He took a short swig of the water from his canteen, gargled and spat it out next to him. After his mouth was purified from sandy intruders, he brought the canteen to his mouth once more and took a large *gulp* from the water canteen, probably leaving himself about a fifth of the original amount than he had brought with him. He sealed the canteen then dropped it next to the rock that held down his shirt, which was now covered in sand. Standing up, he realized now that his shirt wasn't the only thing to accumulate a layer of sand; his hands also were coated with it. He rubbed them together, thus brushing off the majority of the sand from his hands and then rubbed them against the front of his shorts to get rid of any stragglers that didn't come off before. His body felt weary, but still together enough for him to be able to continue in his endeavors for the evening. He straightened his posture and began to stretch. As he did, his eyes fell upon the unraveled scroll which laid in front of him. Once his stretches were completed, he took several small steps towards the scroll, bent over and pushed all the rocks keeping it as a place holder. He placed one end in his left and the other in his right. With his left hand's fingers, he began to roll the scroll up from the end. Simultaneously, his right hand's fingers were unraveling the scroll from the opposing end. This continued until the final jutsu's description was clearly printed upon the paper lying in front of him. It was definitely in his father's hand writing, possibly indicating that his mother hadn't documented this jutsu entirely so Avon went through and edited it. Sakaiza, recognizing this familiarity in the writing style, did not dwell on it too much, but instead he began to read the content:
"Eight Trigrams: Vacuum Palm
Hey Sakaiza, if you thought that last technique was intense wait to you see this one! It's everything that you've been learning jam packed into one technique. The Vacuum Palm will demand that Hyuuga employs his many gentle fist techniques in order to use it. Through the analysis of tenketsu, speed from sixty four palms, chakra control from one hundred and twenty eight palms and the exertion of chakra from palms revolving heaven the user will able to successfully complete this technique. It works quite simply. All one has to do is a extend a palm up and out in a quick fashion, releasing a burst of chakra in the form of a projectile. This technique, like the others, is dangerous but I believe that you will be able to determine when is and isn't a good time to use these techniques."
As Sakaiza read the description he reflected on it after, just as he did with the other jutsu that he had been practicing. "So it releases a projectile huh? Well that seems rather convenient of an attack. It appears as if all other gentle fist and eight trigram techniques that I have learned have been only suited for close combat, therefore this should be more suited for mid to long range attacks. It could probably be useful for creating space between myself and an opponent. Or it could even be used to defend from a close range attack, which would more than likely hurl an enemy a distance away from me." he thought aloud. When he finished with the scroll, he proceeded to roll the scroll up. He then made his way over to his nearby shirts which were still covered in sand. He removed the rock while held them in place and set it to the side. Following this, he picked up his shirts with one hand and let the wind's breeze remove the excess sand from it, occasionally giving it a firm to pat to shake off the sand that wouldn't give. He then opened up the pouch with the hand that held the scroll, slid it in and folded his shirts back up. He placed the folded shirts back onto the sand and once again secured them down with the large rock. At this point in the day, Sakaiza was drenched in sweat. He had been pushing his body all day and did not plan on stopping until he finished all three jutsus. Now with only one jutsu left to attempt, Sakaiza was very close to concluding his training for the day.
"So if this jutsu calls for an understanding of all of the gentle fist and eight trigram techniques that came before it, it would only make sense for me to quickly practice each to make sure I understand the underlying principles behind each. That way, I will be adequately prepared to handle this jutsu." he thought to himself. It seemed as if learning new taijutsu and ninjutsu techniques caused Sakaiza to mature in his thought process. He had become even more detailed oriented that what he had been in the past and now seemed to think things over before diving into them. For example, with the past two eight trigram techniques that he had taught himself today, not once did he rush into one. Although Sakaiza was eager to learn, he still practiced patience by analyzing the technique and its bigger picture, focusing heavily and thinking through whatever errors he may have faced. Now, nearing the end of his training, he did not wish to change this process. He admitted that he might be overly cautious and sure he was more than likely able to release the Vacuum Palm without much struggle since it was just an application of many techniques, but he still did not want to take any chances. Nevertheless he would not underestimate what the technique demanded of him.
Still standing, Sakaiza prepared his gentle fist stance. His right foot leading, left trailing and bending his knees. His right arm bowed beneath his waist and his left reached for the sun. Both palms facing up. He figured that he would begin with the absolute basics: reaffirming his understanding on the tenketsu of his body. Without harnessing any chakra, Sakaiza simply struck the open space in front of him with his open palms. The reasoning behind this was to provide a comprehension of how Sakaiza would need to have his palms oriented in order to deliver a firm blast that would not cause too much recoil to him, as the user. Each palm strike that he dealt to the space in front of him occurred over the span of 3 seconds, making sure he held his stance firmly before quickly switching over to delivering a strike with the next palm. This process continued for roughly 20 minutes until Sakaiza felt ready to move on to the next precursor to beginning his new technique.
Without breaking his stance, Sakaiza then began to practice his speed training. He stood with his palms next to his body facing up and then proceeded with his 64 palms technique without moving the rest of his body. Each alternating, consecutive strike was designed to build in speed while remaining precise. Realizing this, Sakaiza desired to perfect his stationary 64 palms in order to focus entirely on his hand speed. He figured that if his palms could move ferociously fast while he stood still, he would be able to apply that similar concept to the Vacuum Palm technique, which would allow him to bring his hand up and release the jutsu in one quick motion. As a result of fueling this desire, Sakaiza 'worked the air's body' by consistently delivering his 64 palms to the space in front of him. As soon as one set of 64 strikes was completed, he began the next of 64. Each time he began a new series, it grew quicker, more disciplined and crisper. As this set of practice continued for roughly 20 minutes again, Sakaiza's forearms were bulging with the blood flow to it. He could feel his arms growing heavy and stronger, yet he would remain persistent in his perfection of the basics before he moved on to the more difficult Vacuum Palm technique.
Finally it came time work on his chakra control. He stayed in the exact same position he conducted the last two exercises and began to focus the chakra into his hands. He monitored and altered the flow within his network to redirect all of his chakra to his palms by concentrating on his supply of chakra and where he wanted to allocate it. As he did so, he could visualize his palms becoming infused with chakra, even radiating a slight aura from them which was more than likely only visualize through the use of the byakugan. As his palms gathered more and more chakra, he finally released his new found one hundred twenty eight palms technique. The first thirty two strikes being the most basic. However, having just worked on his speed training, they moved much faster that what Sakaiza could make them in the past. This initial set of strikes was well exceptionally well maintained and controlled, all targeting hypothetical tenketsu points along an opponent's body. The second thirty two strikes picked up massively in speed while still keeping the focus. The third thirty two strikes were even faster than the former, however Sakaiza had concentrated hard enough to keep his chakra contained to his palms and his precision intact. The final thirty two strikes were significantly fast, making Sakaiza unleash a powerful grunt. Although he was moving so fast, his focus would not falter. Upon the last strike being made, he immediately returned to his well disciplined gentle fist stance, breathing quite calmly and barely breaking a sweat. Now it came time to repeat this. He would repeat this technique a total of 10 times before moving on to the next to ensure that he could control his chakra despite high speed performances, while still performing at high speeds.
The last precautionary technique that Sakaiza would do was the most recent technique he learned. This technique was the palms revolving heaven and the purpose behind doing it again, was to allow Sakaiza to have another chance at releasing chakra in bursts. He twisted his left foot's toes in the sand a bit, creating a firm pivot and braced his right foot behind his body. He bent his knees and leaned forward, preparing his body for the rotational technique that he would demand from it. Next came the focusing of his chakra. This time on the first try he distributed the chakra evenly throughout the 361 tenketsu points along his body so that the chakra flowing through him was projected in all directions. He then began pushing off the ground with his left foot still pivoted, thus forcing his body to spin. As he did, the chakra shield arose and began to take the appropriate size. It grew from half a meter, to a meter, to a meter and a half to two meters in radius all in an instant. Now at the maximum size, Sakaiza wanted to see how long he could continuously exert this chakra and maintain the shield. He continued spinning for quite some time and only stopped when he finally noticed that the shield have begun to decrease in size. When he ceased to spin, he was not dizzy this time and was instead focused. At this point in time, Sakaiza knew that his body was growing accustomed to the physical demands that his clan's taijutsu techniques would expect of him.
Thus having completed the basics of his training Sakaiza had felt comfortable with the progress he made and with the degree of preparation he did for the final technique. He now had an understanding of the underlying principles of many gentle fist techniques. He felt comfortable with his speed, his chakra control while moving at large speeds and also his ability to expel that chakra from his body. Through his ability to direct his chakra to one point on his body, he knew that he would be able to do the vacuum palm technique. He broke the gentle fist stance and stretched out his limbs again, making sure they were tensing up after his back to back jutsu release. Once he finished, he retook the gentle fist stance and focused the chakra in his body. He paid attention to his amount in his reserves and their relative locations. Following this, he directed all of the chakra to his right palm. He rotated his torso so that it faced the opposite direct of his left foot which was serving as a pivot in case the recoil from the Vacuum Palm proved to be too significant for Sakaiza to be able to handle. With his body now in the correct position, he looked straight ahead. In his line of site was one giant cactus roughly 10 meters away which Sakaiza had not destroyed. In fact, this cactus looked completely untouched. But not for long. With his right palm swelling with chakra, he swiftly lifted it, crossed and cocked it back towards his left should then in one explosive motion shot it forward with a high speed. As his open palm now faced the cactus, Sakaiza let out ,"Eight Trigrams: Vacuum Palm!" as a massive wave of chakra escaped his palm and traveled towards the cactus. The sand on each side of the projectile kicked up, forming walls of sand around the projectile. When the projectile reached the cactus, which took maybe two seconds, the impact forced the cactus to explode, sending disfigured portions of it flying in all directions.
Sakaiza had known that this was exactly what was supposed to happen from his attempt of this technique. With a smile upon his face, he said to himself, "I knew I could do it, but I only wonder how poor of an attempt that would be if I didn't perfect the basics as the scroll prompted. But oh man does that require a huge chakra release, I'm beat..." while remaining firmly in the position he released the chakra in. He dropped his arm and plopped to the ground. Gazing at the place where the cactus formerly stood, he laughed in satisfaction. He removed the rock from his shirts and began sliding the undershirt on, followed by the over shirt. Next he slid on his sandals to his likely burnt feet. He struggled to rise to his feet. The only thing left to do now was return home, but before he would, Sakaiza had an idea. He cocked his left arm in then released it quickly in one quick motion, shooting a chakra projectile in the direction of the large rock that had once held his shirts in place. In turn, the rock picked up and was launched several dozen meters. He laughed again as he just expelled his last remaining bit of chakra. He struggled to walk back to the village slowly, with the chilly night air now blowing on him. When he finally made it home, his mother would be sleeping, just as the rest of the town was. Without removing any of his clothes, he stood over top of his bed and fell right onto it. He had called it a night after a long day of training.
