Red Not So Much vs Blue (P, Mission)

Today would be the day that Shouhei would have his first experience doing official work as a ninja. He was fully aware that it would suck, however. That it would all be about doing errands to build team work while a teacher make sure you know where the pointy end of the stick goes before they could take you on bandit hunting. Still he was looking forward to meet whomever he was supposed to do today’s missions with.

He didn’t know whom it was, other than he got a name which was Dusk Tachibana, as they didn’t meet at the mission center. Either one of them had been late, or they had just come at different times. In any event, he hadn’t been briefed with the person, and had to meet him by the palace gates where they were supposed to act as tour guides for tourist and missionaries. He was indifferent to the idea, and was more focused on the moment.

His pace was relaxed as he walked towards the palace gates; the wind hardly having an affect on his green utility jacket. The amount of people there made it a bit claustrophobic. He had been at the palace before with his family, not as tourist but because they had provided the palace with their services once or twice. It still felt weird for him to stay there and wait however. It did not help either than he was fifteen to ten minutes early. In any event, he stopped by the sign with his hands behind his back waiting for his partner in crime to arrive.

Mission:

The day after his Chuunin exam had been the same as always, the young genin woke up and dressed himself in the same hyper manner as he always did. He knew that he would have to begin anew in order to reach the arena again, but this time he would be ready. Grabbing his staff and headband he began to head out of his house shortly after hugging his parents," Love you guys I will be back later," the two were proud of the achievements of their son and wanted him to be happy no matter what he had did.

He had been given a scroll as he left by a fellow ninja telling him that he had been requested to show some tourist around with a fellow genin, which Dusk had never turned down a mission he had been given especially when it came to people. As a reaction he nodded and walked off in a brisk pace towards the palace gates. As he walked he had been greeted by a few people the village that knew him for never having a frown and being a literal sun of happiness to him. It was odd how the male who had not been born here held no malice with the people.

Finally as the male made it towards the palace gates, he removed his bunny hood and looked onwards until he had spotted someone with a hoshi head band. Walking over to the male he smiled and offered his hand," Hello there you must be my mission partner," though he could have been wrong but Dusk was never shy around people.

He wasn’t really expecting a bunny eared lawyer. He did not even know what he was expecting, but it definitely wasn’t a young men with a bunny hoody. Shouhei had to admit to himself that the person was very polite and he accepted the hand for a greeting. “I find that likely. I’m Shouhei Sato newly graduated and all that jazz. I guess that would mean it is my first day at the job,” he said with a smile at the end as his eyes ran over the person’s face.

He moved his hands from his back to rest on his hips near the pocket of his trousers. “So I guess we just have to be...” and before he could finish that thought someone who looked like a tourist approached them. A woman, about average height and tanned, who spoke with some weird accent. Her dress was modest with mostly brown and other nature colors. “Ehhh…” Shouhei looked to Dusk in hopes he had some insights into where she wanted to go.

A newbie from the academy huh? Well Dusk wasn't biased to those that had just gotten out of the academy or those that were advanced, all were the same right? Taking his own hand and placing it back into the depth of his jacket pocket he began to think on what had been going on for the mission, an escort of sorts which wasn't too bad and yet he didn't exactly know who he had been escorting. It took him a whole minute to realize that the woman had been the target and not someone else, which he turned to her and smiled, introducing himself and speaking with her. After only a few moments he had gotten just a little information from her and decided a course that would no doubt be of excitement for her.

Motioning to the young lady, he proceeded to lay out a mental map," Alrighty miss, If you want the best in wares and food the Hoshigakure market is the best place to go! It houses many items that could help you when it comes to cooking or even sprucing up your already beautiful face," a small smile came from him as he continued to explain," If you would take a right after you leave the Palace and keep going straight following the sounds of the bustling people you shall find yourself there and have fun," the woman smiled and gave the boy a hug in which he happily returned the favor before watching her walk off.

Okay. That was lucky for him that his pal could understand what the woman was saying behind that heavy accent. Not that he had much time to try to learn what she was saying as he talked with his pal. Because in a few second a second person would come to ask for direction.

The man that had approached him was taller than Shouhei. However, that seemed to be because he was an adult and not because he was overly taller than everyone else was. If anything, he was probably average in height. He seemed to have issues with reading his map.

“It is a bit badly written. Are you looking for a new one, or just direction?” Shouhei smiled looking the man in the eyes before focusing on his forehead. However, it seemed his answer wouldn’t make it easy for Shouhei. “Okay to get to Bakerhill Street you need to go down that road there called Anvil Street,” he said running his finger down one of the lines indicating the streets, then he pointed down to a road nearby, “You can get to it going down that street then turning left after the first block.”

And so the man went on his merry way that looked very jolly. Shouhei turned towards his pal who also seemed to be free. “So where do you think she was from? You seemed to understand her well.” They might be replaced soon, or have more people to guide, but he was definitely going to have his curiosity sated.

Dusk had continued to help people as they passed, some of which had been looking for the cathedral. Pointing towards the tallest building he would begin to point them towards the direction," Go straight down this path and make an immediate right and you shall see the church," after helping the group they bowed and thanked the young male before going off on their way. When Shouhei asked where did he think she was from he shrugged for a moment and smiled," There aren't different languages here as far as I know. She just speaks in a different...tone of voice perhaps? The way she speaks is rather common around here and since i've been here for a good while, i've picked up on a lot of different things," though no one else came up to him for a moment, he leaned against the wall and waved to a few people as they passed by.

He couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow as Dusk explained the reason he said the person spoke differently. From what he heard, he wasn’t sure if Dusk knew what an accent were. It took him a few too many words to explain it. In Shouhei’s opinion anyhow. “Nah, I am not sure that’s the case. Their accent sound like nothing I have heard in the city,” he scratched his head, “and I was born and raised here. My posh accent probably gave it away somehow.”

Then maybe five minutes later another group of Genins (or that is what Shouhei guessed they were from their age), came up to them saying it was their turn. As it were, Shouhei patted Dusk on the shoulder: “Hey! What do you say we do another mission? Also I don’t think you ever gave me your name.”

"Another mission? Sure I wouldn't mind that at all. And im Dusk. Dusk Tachibana," smiling as he usually did he began to put his hoodie of his head and head out of the area. As he did, he made it a point to stop at one of the shops for food before heading home.
