Sakana discovers the Meijin curse.
Sun Jan 22, 2017 12:24 pm
Sakana woke up from bed around 6am. He knew today he had to help Kaigo deliver food. Sakana threw on his blue hoodie and some shorts. He went down stairs and ate some cereal. And talked to Kaigo about how his ninja training was going. Grabbing his daily deliveries he headed out the door. Sakana walked calmly in no rush. He had nowhere to be today. He did his deliveries, and at the end his final delivery was at Julie's house. He walked over and knocked on her door. She answered standing there in her pajamas as it was only eight in the morning. Her hair was messed up but somehow it made Sakana like her even more. Sakana realizing he had nothing to do for the rest of the day invited her to come along with him. She agreed but was a little bit taken back because ever since Sakana had become a ninja they never hung out anymore. And ordering food was the only was she was able to see him these days. They started to walk. They talked like used, this made Julie very happy because she missed Sakana because she's known him ever since they were babies. Once they were walking they saw a street vendor. Sakana usually walks past these thing but Julie wanted to stop and look. Sakana agreed and they started to dig through the various items this man had. After digging for five minutes Sakana was ready to leave but at the last moment a book caught his eye. It was a brown book with the words "Meijin" barley visible on it. This amazed Sakana because he'd never seen his clan name written anywhere before. As far as he knew he was the only Meijin alive. Sakana had never knew anything about his past. All he knew was that his mother and father were ninja but they left him at the hidden cloud village when he was just a baby. All they left him with was his name. A name that meant nothing to anyone and no one had ever heard of it before. As enraged as he was as a child, he had Kaigo to help him with these issues. Without Kaigo, Sakana probably would have been an orphan all his life and he never would have been grated the opportunity to become a ninja. Being a ninja is all Sakana ever wanted, and now he achieved this goal. Sakana picked up the book and payed the man with the money he earned from the deliveries. His mind raced with what could be included in the book, it could answer all his questions but it could also be nothing. He hoped it would give him some insight into what the word Meijin actually meant, what the history behind the Meijin was. He also bought Julie a shark necklace she was looking at. Julie loved the necklace but was more interested in the book Sakana had picked up. They both wanted to read the book. So Sakana and Julie walked to the lake Sakana had learned about the previous day.
Julie took the book out of his hands and said, "Are you ready Sakana? This book could reveal your whole history!" Sakana replied that he was excited but also nervous. Julie handed Sakana back the book and Sakana opened it. He first saw the words, "The Meijin Curse" this part of the book explained that the Meijin are an ancient clan that was cursed with only learning one element. But this curse came with a benefit, Sakana would learn to master the water element more than any ninja before him. This book also explained the history of why there are no more Meijin. It was because the clan choose to let the name die and the curse is a recessive trait that not many people will contract. This truly meant Sakana could be the last Meijin.
Now that he read the history part of the book he started to flip through the other parts of the book. He realized it was divided by element and each element contained Meijin secrets that would allow them to be stronger than other clans. There was also many Meijin exclusive Jutsu. Sakana realized he had to take good care of this book because it is probably the last book with all this information inside. He finally got to the water section. He was amazed by all the new jutsu he had never seen anyone in the village preform before. It also gave specific instructions on how to learn and master each one of these jutsu. Sakana learned that there were multiple levels to being a Meijin and the Meijin have to develop their clan bloodline. Sakana read all about the physical changes he would go through. This book explained that the more in tune with water he got, the easier it will be to learn new jutsu.
Sakana was surprised by this, actually he was shocked and didn't know what to say. It was silent until Julie spoke. "Sakana this is amazing, you not only leaned about your history but now you can become super strong!" She leaned over and gave Sakana a hug. "I hope that even though you will be training harder now that you will still have time to hang out with me." Sakana was shocked she would even ask such question. He explained that of course he would always make time for her because she was his first friend at the village and she was someone really special to his life.
Sakana and Julie spent the day at the lake. They just stared up at the clear sky and the beautiful lake. Talking about the future and how things will turn out. Sakana talked about his dream to become a strong ninja and how the next step for him is chuunin. They stayed at the lake until the stars came out and then Sakana walked Julie home. He promised they would hang out more often and even invited her to come along and watch his training sessions.
