Hitori - Basic Medical Ninjutsu
Thu Jan 26, 2017 10:05 pm
Hitori dashed out of the academy, brandishing his new lightning village headband. “I did it!” he screamed, grinning from ear to ear. I finally did it. Hitori raised his shiny treasure to his forehead. The cool metal tingled his face through the crimson cloth, and he weaved his headband through his scarlet hair. I can finally start Medical Ninjutsu! It’s finally looking up for me. Hitori’s body shook as if a leaf through excitement. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. I think I’ll learn some jutsu, today.
Hitori paused to take a breath after sprinting to the training grounds. It was surprisingly pleasant outside, today, something Hitori wasn’t used to. The brisk air coursed through his air and clothing. “Alright, let’s take a gander at this jutsu,” he said, unable to remove his smile from his face. He removed a collected scroll from his pouch and unraveled it. “Basic Medical Ninjutsu… Hm..” Hitori’s eyes scanned the parchment in a robotic-like fashion. “Well, it’s a start. Gotta work my way up!”
Hitori placed the scroll on a nearby bench, decaying with constant rain and abuse. I must make the chakra flow from my hand… How do you even do that? Hitori sat in the grass and stared at his hand. Yes… I can feel the chakra in my hand. Hitori concentrated and focused, pushing his chakra outward from his hand. Yes, yes. I can feel it! Hitori’s face became red. He clenched his teeth.
Nothing happened.
Ages seemed to pass as Hitori stared at his palm. I think I’ve counted the creases in my hand a dozen times over… Suddenly, chakra spurted from his hand and grew like a cyan blaze, whirling around his fingertips. It then grew, shifting and swirling in a violent luminescence. Woah. It spun and twirled until the chakra became too much for Hitori. It shifted rapidly and split, fading from his hand. Too much output…
Hitori flexed his hand once more, and the blue chakra erupted from his hand. Steady.. Hitori’s chakra vibrated slightly and holes appeared in the otherwise perfect stream of chakra. Hitori focused harder, bringing his output back. The chakra stabilized and became steady. There. Hitori could feel the chakra flowing through and out of his hand like a stream or his fingertips stroking the warm sand of a beach. Yes, that’s it. Now to test it out.
Hitori withdrew a kunai from his back pouch. He clenched his teeth, puncturing his palm with the black knife. He pulled, sliding it across his palm and tearing the skin. Crimson blood dripped from his hand, but this did not phase him. A little blood can’t hurt a medical ninja, right?
Hitori extended his hands. Blood dripped from his left and the other tensed. And the chakra… Chakra then expelled from his right hand, forming a perfect blue aura around it. He lowered his right hand to his left, and pouring blood began to cease. Slowly, the blood became more thick. Hitori bit his lip. Almost…
But before the wound could be sealed, the blood began to pour once more. Hitori grumbled and stood up. The steady stream of blood now stained his hand, and he made it a priority to not get any on his clothing. The genin stretched out with his chakra once more, now in both hands. The blue flames converged seamlessly, and the blood suddenly paused. The longer Hitori stood there, the more the wound healed, until a thin scab had replaced the entirety of the bleeding mess. “I could work on time, but nonetheless it’s effective,” Hitori said with a smile. I’ll be the best medical shinobi in no time!
